R29GW: 135 +/- 0.5 kg is the aim! SWR29 137.1kg
Day/Weight/Comment01/18 137.1 kg01/24 135.1 not too bad considering yesterday
01/19 136.1Think the 1kg loss is partially due to an early weigh in today! BUT knowing I was logging in today DID make avoid nibbles yesterday!!! so
01/20 136.6 I knew yesterday was not really real! but today is still less than day one (137.1 kg)!! and (confession) I did succumb to nibbles
01/21 136.1 not too bad!
01/22 135.8 today Im really going to push the water intake
01/23 135 pleased so far; but then over indulged a bit (on fruit , they are still calories!!)
01/25 135.5 a bad trend here (due to bad food choices) need to try to do better these last 3 days!!

Initial Goal Weight 65kg
Ultimate Goal Weight 60kg
This round GW 68.5kg
01/21 - 69kg - had a takeaway last night and a sedentary day getting admin done so unsurprising.
01/22 - 68.8kg - long walk with the dog yesterday, meant to do some weight training and didn't so might try and squeeze it in today.
01/23 - 68.3kg - I think this is the weekends water weight making an exit! No exercise yesterday as had an appointment that went on til 8:30, apart from.walking the dog of course!
01/24 - 68.4 - better than I expected after a carby dinner last night. Did some cross trainer yesterday morning and got up early this morning for a PT session before work. Very poor night's sleep though.
01/25 - 68.2 - aching from my PT session yesterday! Are way under cals yesterday as well so might see this go back up.9 -

@nikki062181 You are probably retaining some water due to the increase in exercise. Hang in there!
@holisticpradise I find it easiest to copy and paste the dates from the first post on the thread into the notes on my phone. Then I weigh in the morning and put that on the note. Personally I like to read everyone’s update so I do that and then copy my updated note and paste it at the end. When you come back, the program returns you to where you left off.3 -
Long-term Focus: In the normal range for my age height and build, on maintenance.
December was a very indulgent month. This round, I am focused on losing my holiday baggage.
I HAVE the power and determination to do this.
Primary Goal - 160lbs +/- 2lbs. Lose 1lb per round.
to Round 29
This has given me a motivational element of daily accountability.
Observations, and Previous Rounds
Many events along the way will scupper our best intentions, but they merely delay the achievement of our goals. Life is for living, and one must learn patience. It takes many years to put on excess weight, so It follows that it takes much time to remove, but it does come off, bit by stubborn bit! If you stick with it! The game continues!
A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:- Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
- A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
- A high sodium day usually results in a gain due to water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/18: 123.3kg/271.8lbs - Ate at a calorie deficit but rested from the gym last night, weightloss is never really linear so I have no doubt this will drop over the 10 days. Out for a work lunch and cardio tonight after work.
01/19: 122.6kg/270.3lbs - Nice to be falling in the right direction. Heavy cardio session last night, however it seemed like I spent more time cleaning my own sweat off of the machines than I did on them!
01/20: 123.0kg/271.2lbs – I imagine that this weekend will probably be up and down before falling overall, I ate at a calorie deficit but rested from the gym.
01/21: 122.6kg/270.3lbs – Back down again. Prepped all my lunches up until Thursday, however I do need to order some more meat in.
01/22: 122.8kg/270.7lbs – Bubbled up a tiny bit, not sure why but I am eating well and have no doubt I will drop overall. Aim is to be sub 120kg soon, if I could do it within these 10 days I would be ecstatic.
01/23: 122.0kg/268.9lbs - Wheeey, I was hoping to see this drop. Still eating meal preps at lunch, granola for breakfast and meat and sweet potato in the evening. Amazing to see how a bit of weight loss can have such a positive effect on my wellbeing. Now lets go sub 120kg!
01/24: 121.8kg/268.5lbs - This is my smallest drop this round (so far) but it is the drop I am most proud of. Starting to become a habit of eating well and drinking lots of water. I did have a beer last night with a massive Lamb stew, it was lushh and I definitely don't regret it - probably high in sodium though but meh.
01/25: 120.8kg/266.3lbs - Wow, this really is a credit to the hard work I'm putting in. I expect it to creep back up soon but right now, I will bask in my 5.1lb weightloss this round! I'm just imagining breaking 120kg...

Round 22 start weight - 151.40
Round 23 start weight - 145.80
Round 24 start weight - 147.60
Round 25 start weight - 141.60
Round 26 start weight - 141.90
Round 27 start weight - 146.20
Round 28 start weight - 143.20
Round 29 start weight - 140.90
Loss to date - 10.5lbs
Aim to be under 140 by the end of the round......
01/18 140.6lb - 0.3lb off and on my way to be under 140 by end of the round. Feeling organised and motivated
01/19 140.4lb - last of the weekend woosh gone! Work evening out tonight for a meal followed by Cirque de Soleil. Will enjoy but also try to choose wisely from the menu. I will have a couple of glasses of wine but won't be going mad as up early tomorrow to take my daughter out for the day to the National Space Centre - a 2.50 hour drive each way!! On the plus side got the train into work today so plenty of walking to and from the station plus round London tonight.
01/20 DNW. Very late home Friday after a meal and drinks and up early Saturday for a day out so forgot to weigh!
01/21 DNW - actually got a cup of tea in bed so didn't weigh as already had something by the time I got up!
01/22 142.90 lb. Weekend that I didn't track plus a full (healthy) Sunday roast last night. Didn't go mad but as usual weight is up on a Monday and weigh exactly where I was last Monday so not concerned as not a true weight gain. Back to normal today with food and water intake so expecting a good week ahead and still hopeful for under 140 by the end of the round on Saturday.
01/23 140.90lb - and the weekend woosh!! Plenty of water yesterday and walked 12,000 steps so a good day. Good food day planned today, gym tonight so all on the right path to be under 140 at the end of the round or shortly after! Feel like I've been at this stage for ages so under 140 and stay there will be a huge milestone!
01/24 140.10lb - down 0.80lbs. So close to being under 140 - the scale did in fact wobble around and briefly flicked over to 139.90 but settled here. My under 140 target is in sight!!!!!
01/25 138.70lb - down 1.4lbs. Guess its catch up after weekends out and away and had a "normal" week of eating and training Can't believe I am under the magic 140 - did change my scale this morning so I could see my weight beginning with a 9!! 9 stone 13lbs - not been there for a very long time!!!!! Now I need to hopefully lose a bit more and never see over 140 again ........ This is the first time I have ever properly calorie counted and watched my macros so shows it works (for me anyway!) - and I honestly believe this group helps so much as it makes me think about my own weight and trends and how weight varies day to day. Onwards and downwards

I'm back. Let's see if I can get down to 160 at least even though my "new" low is 158. The slower it comes off the more likely it will stay off. I just lost a lot very fast due to having the flu and sinus issues. Good luck ladies and gents.
OW: 202
SW: 161
GW: 160
UGW: 125
1/18: 160.4 I haven't been drinking very well lately, and I expect this number to be up tomorrow, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. Lol
1/19: 160.4 Wow! I'm maintaining, but I've been in the 160's since November. I'm over it. Lol
1/20: 162 Too much sodium and not enough water I believe, but since I've been fluctuating between 3 lbs forever. Who knows.
1/21 163.6 I haven't seen this number in a long time, but I'll be honest with myself here. I ate whatever I wanted for dinner. High calories. Lots of carbs. Lots of sodium. It was family movie night. I positively hate seeing that number, but I so enjoyed my meal.
1/22 161.4 I pushed fluids yesterday and went back to my normal diet. I also biked for 30 minutes. I have 5 more days to see that 160. Let's do this!
1/23 161.2 I pushed fluids yesterday, ate well, and put in more steps than I have been for awhile now. It's not a big loss, but I'll take it.
1/24 161.6 Not going to lie peeps. I'm starting to get really frustrated. I'm eating well and within my calories. I'm drinking between 50 to 60 oz of fluid. I started walking more and even got back on my exercise bike. I totally don't get it. Also, my 9-year-old has a fever of 101. Boo! I was up every 2 hours checking on him, and then, we had freezing rain. My school district has another snow day, and so does his because of it. Now, I can just be Mommy today. That's a plus.
1/25 161.8 It keeps going the wrong direction. Ugh.

@mrs_sutsie Great Job on your new #! That's always so exciting.
@quiltingjane I noticed that I completely skipped the 161's over the holidays and when I was sick. Maybe that's why I'm in them now. Lol My body didn't go through the steps of "losing" them.
@nicolabradley87 I was way under calories too. I simply wasn't hungry, so I didn't eat much. So, don't feel like you're the only one on the struggle train.
@holisticpradise Welcome to our group. We're so glad to have you. Myself, I just hit the word "quote" at the bottom of my prior posts and delete the brackets that are on the top and the bottom. Others copy into notes on their phone and paste it. Hope this helps.
@lonestarbabe Wow! A 5-pound loss. Tell me what you did to do that?! I totally need to get over this hump I'm on. Lol

Nikki, when I asked in another group how much water is enough, someone told me the goal for water is 1/2 your body weight in ounces. I weigh a little more than you, but I strive for around 90-100 oz each day. It was hard at first, but now it's not, because I CRAVE water! (Weird, I know!) The motto seems to be "Drink until you shrink!" LOL I do find myself saying that to myself sometimes during the day when I'm a little hungry. Enjoy your Mommy time today! I'm on an educator schedule too, but we have no snow right now.4 -

MFP SW 210
Goal this round: remain steady in making good choices.
Day/Weight/Comment
01/18 189.2 I'm on Snow Day #2, determined to conquer the urge to snack all day. I'm thankful I don't have a bunch of junk in my pantry!
01/19 188.8 I should've eaten more veggies yesterday, but I did good on water and exercise (35 min walk/run, arm resistance workout, 10 minute stair climber).
01/20 189.6 Probably had too much salt yesterday… I feel really good, though. I resisted a donut breakfast at work, passed on the sweet tea and chips at lunch, and went to the gym last night. I NEVER go to the gym at night bc I always feel drained after work, but I went anyway and had a pretty good workout!
01/21 189.4 Yesterday was a struggle! One day at a time, sweet Jesus!!
01/22 189.2 Yesterday was a pretty good day- got in cardio, weights, plenty of water, and not a lot of carbs. Thankful for this challenge! It keeps me motivated to make good choices!!
01/23 188.6 Hope this sticks!
01/24 188.4 I'll take it!! I'm working on improving my food choices and water intake, and I've been consistent with workouts. Cheers to making healthy choices!
01/25 188.4 I drank lots of water, made good food choices, and went to Zumba. It was a good day!

1/19 - 179.5 - danced some, walked 7k steps, but have a bday party to go to later. Wish me luck lol.
1/20 - 180.9 - Managed to fall under daily calorie limit yesterday but party still did its damage. Hoping this is just water. 6k steps plus 30 min dancing.
1/21 - 180.6 - A little under the weather today so only did stretching and quads strengthening.
1/22 - 180.1 - Went slightly under calorie limit. Nice to see the reading going down again.
1/23 - 179.9 - Only 4k steps, but slept 7 hrs straight for the first time after a long while. Feel pretty good as a result.
1/24 - 179.6 - Pretty much back to where I started lol, but I'm not complaining. Keep going down, down...
1/25 - 178.3 - No exercise aside from stretching. I observe however that the weight goes down when I've had enough sleep. Interesting.

01/25: 156.4 I'm rejoining after a much longer break than anticipated! I decided to give myself a break in December with the goal of maintaining weight and starting back up January 1st. 25 days into January and here I am. I'd like to say this is an accurate representation of limited weight gain over this time but I'm coming off of a virus where I barely ate or drank for 3 days. Happy to be feeling better and ready to commit to healthy eating, exercise and weight loss again. Naturally, this group is the first place I came too as I find it so motivating and helpful!

01/23: Forgot to weigh in this morning until I had taken my meds and started eating. Had sad news last; lost a first cousin unexpectedly!
01/24: 211.5
I feel much better this morning! Thanks so much for the hugs I received; you just don't know how much it meant to me to see them! And you know what? I actually felt them too! @nikki062181 thanks for the prayers! I love you guys! Well, I got up this morning and weighed then I exercised and weighed; after that I went and fixed breakfast and weighed again! I weighed 211.5 all three times although I was hoping it would go down; I always go with the lowest number! I'm still trying for 209 this round!
01/25: 211.1
Went to the chiropractor yesterday and was diagnosed with Sciatica! Have to go back 3 times a week for the next 8 or 9 weeks. And no exercise! I don't like that but I don't like pain either! I really have to watch what I eat now!9 -

@UTMom81 I think I would totally puke if I drank that much. In fact, I know I would. If I drink more than a certain amount, I become so nauseous and get horribly sick. I don't know why, but that's a trend I noticed. So, I don't do it anymore. We didn't have snow yesterday, but we had rain that froze due to low temperatures and then sleet. The state wasn't prepared for it. I am on a 2-hour delay today. What grade do you teach?
@rparkerslim Sciatica is awful!!!! I've had problems with mine since my last child, and I have something called sacroiliac joint dysfunction. To put it mildly, it sucks! I'm sorry you have to experience it and hope the chiropractor helps.2 -
I’m in. Goal is to lose 3 pounds. I have been slacking off for months now and not making any real progress. I gained about 10 pounds since the summertime. I need to work hard and get back to where I was over the summer because I think that’s where I want to maintain. Just wanted to vent/share.

01/18..144 Got a miserable cold. Blaming the weight gain on that and the cold meds. Hibernating.
01/19.. weighed myself but can't remember what it was. LOL The joys of a stuffy head. Feeling better. Maybe some slow ellip today. Happy Friday.
01/20..142.8. at least that's what I think it was. It's been a couple hours since I weighed myself and my brain is still stuffy. Feeling much better though. Hope to get over it quickly.
01/21...143.6 I've been terrible about logging food. After almost a year! Today, I promise yself to do better.
01/22...?
01/23... 144 Haven't been setting daily goals for myself so that ends today.
01/24 144.4 Wrong direction. I've gained 5 lbs since early December. Not enough gym time as my son is using my car for work. Ugh! I did 45 min on ellip yesterday and stayed within Cals. a little over on carbs but not much. No alcohol. I'm going to have to go to gym in evening or figure something out here at the house. It will come off!

01/18 - 186.4 - Holding after personal training.
01/19 - 187.4 - Late salty dinner out last night, so this is kind of expected.
01/20 - 186.6 - It's kind of cold here (for the desert) gotta find the motivation to do more than curl up with my heater and videogames.
01/21 - 187.2 - Took some medicine that's making me kind of bloaty and sleepy.
01/22 - 186.6 - Got training tonight.
01/23 - 187.4 - Training and too much salt. Too cold don't remember to drink water.
01/24 - 187.2 - I'll be glad when my WoW game time wears off in a couple days. I feel so obligated to use the paid time when I have it that I've been lazier than I should be.
01/25 - 189 - Went to see a friend last night at a Brazilian steakhouse. It was a bit spontaneous. Worth it, fun, but...
