TdaniT - Welcome back, Always feel s good to get back in it after a break doesn't it

    elpozo - Great work :)
  • I screwed up a bit last week (Beta week 4). I didn't do Thursday or Friday. I was going to re-do that entire week this week, but decided to push on to Week 5 which I finished a day late. But I did it.

Doing Speed 2.0 bare footed helped with the cramps a lot, but my feet hurt now from the impact a bit. Oh well. One of those things I'll need to deal with.

I believe I lost approximately 3-4 inches (overall) during Beta.

Onto Gamma next week and hopefully back onto being more consistent.
  • I honestly avoided the abs workout during the whole alpha stage. I was just to scared. I'm starting the beta phase on Monday and hope to do it Saturdays.
  • I did Speed 3.0 on Monday. Hmm. I couldn't do anything on Tuesday because my back was rather sore, perhaps because of burpees (I really do hate them, and I don't feel I can do them with 100% good form, which would seem true as I had a sore back).

So, I don't think I can do Speed 3.0. The rest of the workouts on Gamma (both lots) look fine though so what do you all suggest I should do in place of Speed 3.0 (from the T25 videos)?

Speed 2.0 would be my recommendation. No burpees I think and still a good cardio burn.

I'm not officially starting T25 until 12/30, but I've been adding the workouts in to my 30DS routine this week… Total Body Circuit actually reduced me to tears today! Geesh, that was intense.

I'm going to be starting week 3 of alpha on Monday. I have had no results so far but I'm going to keep going. Should I repeat alpha right away or move on to beta when I'm done? BTW I'm disgustingly out of shape so alpha is HARD

I would head straight into Beta rather than repeating Alpha. I noticed the most loss during Beta. Good luck :)

Just found this thread. Bought T25 last week and started today. Did Alpha Cardio this morning and I'm definitely feeling it.

Tammy_Christo: I hope I start losing soon! Nothing more frustrating than working that hard and not getting results.

Do any of you follow the diet plan provided?
  • Welcome to all the newstarters to T25.

I have just finnished Gamma round. I am going to move onto the Gamma Hybrid workout. I will drop the cardio workouts though as I already run 3 times a week.

I must say that I put on my most weight during the Gamma phase... BUT... I didn't eat to a plan, there were 40 million Christmas parties in there, I just felt so, so hungry. It could have also been from a sheer lack of will power and laziness in the way I ate that led me to those results.

Other results = muscles! Yahoo. Oh and a nice bruise over my left eye from a blow to it with my dumbell while doing the work out. Bah ha ha!

If anyone has got any tips for reining in the eating while doing gamma I would really appreciate it.

    Cheers :-)

I do not follow the diet plans. When I was eating the recommended 1300-1700 calories I did not lose a pound. I upped my calories to 2000 and bam, started losing weight. Plateaued for about 3 weeks and upped calories to 2300 and I am steadily losing 1-2 pounds a week again.

I found eating a 40,40,20 plan works out great. 40% calories protean, 40% carbs, 20% fat and I am doing well. Don't skip meals, eat 2 snacks a day. Don't eat past 7pm and don't drink your calories.

That seems to be the plan that works best for me. I would also tweak your eating. up your calories by 200-300 for 2 weeks and see if their is a change.

I'm about to start Alpha tonight, as soon as my boyfriend gets home and gets ready to go! We're going to keep each other motivated, but I'm really confident!

I've been losing weight and inches just by eating 400 cal meals 3-4 times a day, but now I'm ready to start firming up...

That is totally something I would do! I will avoid gamma it seems lol

Alwaysavadri: I hope when I get in better shape my bf will do this with me. I think he's in good shape but he thinks back to his wrestling/kickboxing days and wants to get some of his muscle tone back

    elpozo - Great work :)

Thanks. It does feel good to be back but I stumbled last week again. SMH I am back at it this week and I am determined to get it done! Total Body Circuit is hard for me because of the planks/push ups. I have carpal tunnel in my wrists so I have a hard time doing it for as long as they are (which I know isn't long). Any suggestions on food? I haven't seen any weight loss with this program yet. Of course my eating hasn't been on point so I know I need to get that under control too. I don't have a HRM so I am guesstimating my calories burned at a straight 200 calories for each exercise. I try not to eat all of them back.

I am just finishing gamma hybrid this week and next week , I am done. I have actually gained 6lbs doing gamma and you can see it. It is all muscles, I used 5 lbs weights for just gamma round and upped it to 10 for the hybrid round. Going to start P90X3 1/6/14 and looking forward to a change, This was the best workout I have ever done and so easy to stick to. A great muscle builder not a great fat burner. I have lost inches but nothing compared to the definition in my arms and legs and shoulders. Not enough ab work in gamma. But all in all this will always be my go to workout. :D Best of luck to all of you and I do hope you enjoy it is a great sweat fest and you feel wonderful when you are done with your 25 minutes :D

Do you mean for the whole system or just gamma? I need a LOT of fat loss and some muscle. I hope to get to gamma!

I did Dynamic Core today, Day 4 for the first week of Beta. It's a killer -- I love how Shaun T. makes us do non-traditional ab work. None of those normal crunches in a lot of workout videos :))

I also love how stricter he is in Beta. In Alpha, it was like he was still going easy on you, even while pushing you. Beta has a more business-like feel :)

I keep seeing reviews saying that they've lost most weight and gained more definition in Beta. Can't wait to see results of my own -- I don't have much to lose in terms of weight. But I do have a tummy that's bigger than it should be -- I have named it "Chubbers" in the past. Alpha has helped lessen the flat belly problem but I'm hoping Beta will help get rid of it altogether :D

Hi to all the new ones and congrats to those who have finished Gamma :)

Just gamma round, I lost inches in Alpha a beta built definition all over in gamma and gamma hybrid.. My shoulders are quite impressive, this will always be my go to work out.. Love the whole program.. More so the alpha and beta for weight loss and inches gamma for strength

Ok, just finishing up Alpha week 1, 4 lbs lost! I will do measurements when I get home from work tonight.

I definitely got my butt kicked this week, and was frantic whenever I couldn't see Tonya's modifiers, but I am super proud of myself!! I keep pushing the BF to do the modifiers well instead of pushing himself and doing the regular moves incorrectly...Form > difficulty, in my opinion. Thoughts?

I'm kicking myself for not doing my measurements before I started but having 40 lbs to lose, seeing my body change will be easy. I may be 4 lbs down in 3 weeks though. Christmas with my family will be tough (drinking and trying not to over eat).

alwaysavadri: form trumps difficulty any day! Poor forms will give you injuries, not results. I understand why he would go for difficulty (it's really hard for me to admit how grossly out of shape I am. It's so embarrassing)

How's everyone doing? Getting towards the end of Alpha, I am definitely noticing a difference in stamina! Weight loss has slowed down, but I am still noticing a loss off my hips (although I wish my biceps and thighs stopped getting larger...)!

I will say...Total Body Circuit is brutal!

Glad you are enjoying it. Don't worry about the weight loss slowing, I think most of us noticed the biggest loss during Beta. Congrats on getting through the first phase. I really loved T25!
