I'm in but will start it on Thursday. I need to be fitter and healthier and hope that this will kick start me.

Well done to those who have already started.

Be careful skipping rest days. That will catch up to you as the runs get longer and you haven't yet built up your capacity.

Thank you. I was just trying to catch up with last weeks runs since I’ve rested too many days in between. Back to doing it every second day rather.

W5 D1 done. It was amazing, aside from the thigh chafing.

Ok... Guess I'm in! Been trying to get past week 4 forever now... any tips?

    3/7 - week 3 day 1

Aiming to try a 5km on 30th march! A local park does free timed 5ks every Saturday.

So are you having trouble with W4/D1?

    Recommend that
    1. you finish the week, even if you're not successful, before dropping back to W3.
    2. Week 4 is a pretty serious jump in total run time 16 minutes vs 9 for week 3.
    3. Slow your pace way down... uncomfortably slow running

Makes sense! I've gone through the c25k last year but just hitting a wall this time! Will go back to week 4 for the rest of this week and see how it goes.

    Thanks.

I did a chart when I ran it the first time. If your calendar permits, you could also run a week 3.5 1.5 run/1.5 rest/3 run/3 rest and repeat 3x or 4x vs 2x

    Week 1 8 mins running
    2 10 mins running
    3 9 mins
    4 16 mins
    5 15 mins/16 mins/20 mins
    6 18 mins/20 mins/25 mins

W4 D3 done....feeling good! Probably not the best, but I actually have been running 5 or 6 days per week, so I've gotten to week 4 faster than if I did the 3 days a week. Would I be better off just repeating the days for that week than advancing to the next week?

Up to you, I think I'd repeat if I had trouble running or completing more than two days of the week just so I can get used to it.

Just did my first 8 minutes interval, W5 D2, so far so fun, I was bothered by the 5 minutes break than the run itself as I didn't feel gassed or tired and wanted to keep going.

Looking forward to my first 20 minute run of the program this Sunday.
