I’m so glad I joined this group- something about being held accountable makes a big difference! I literally had the chips in my hand and put them down because I didn’t want to have to write that I missed a night.

When I started dieting I made specific plans for late night snacking. I enjoy eating in the evening, so I planned for it when starting my diet. I always eat in the evening up until about an hour before bed. I keep my calories between 1000 and 1200 a day. Being old school this is just how its done. I have tried the slower method and I crash and burn every time. So I'll do it my way. That being said I eat healthy food. With the exception of popcorn, which I do not consider healthy but I do consider a healthy alternative to what I would eat at night. I don't feel like I am on a diet. I am satisfied with what I eat. I don't have any cravings for other food which came as a pleasant surprise. I usually have popcorn after dinner and then later a smoothy made from mixed berries or some type of fresh or frozen fruit. I love the sweetner Zing which as 0 calories and is a stevia product. No funny taste to ruin a good smoothy. Eating in the evening has had no negative effects for me. I lost 17 lbs in 23 days. I say 23 days because that was my first weigh in at the 23 day point. I decided I also was not going to worship the scale, I don't even own one anymore. But I do go to the doctor monthly and weigh there so its once a month for me. I don't really believe eating in the evening is bad for you it is just what kind of food and how much ofrt that food you eat.
32/32 win win and plan on it every evening from here on in.
