I'm planning on going for Nike Zoom Vomeros next, which I'm told have a larger toe box and are great for HM+ distances.

@Orphia Maybe you need to try a pair of @7lenny7 Clown Shoes. o:)

    03/01/18 - Rest
    03/02/18 - 8 miles @ 8:51
    03/03/18 - 9 miles @ 9:29
03/04/18 - Meetings instead of running
    03/05/18 - 11 miles @ 9:11
    03/06/18 - 11 miles @ 8:59
    03/07/18 - 10 miles @ 9:04
    03/08/18 - Planned rest
    03/09/18 - 7.5mph for 10 Miles @ 4% grade

Big Hairy Audacious Goal: Sub 4 hours in Pittsburgh 2018!

    Official Marathon PR: 4:11:28

Next Races (more as I find them):

    03/17/18 - Shamrock Shuffle Half Marathon + 5k + 1mile
    04/07/18 - Achilles 9.3 Challange (10k and 5k back to back)
05/06/18 - Pittsburgh Marathon - aiming for sub four hours.
05/12/18 - Glacier Ridge 50k Trail Ultra (I must hate myself)

2020 - Disney World Dopey! (if can raise funds)

Dreadmill run for speed work. It stopped on me THREE times though - BUT - I figured out my problem. For some reason once I get warmed up and in the grove, I end up running slightly faster than the dreadmill and bumping into the control panel - occasionally hitting it just right to hit the "end work out" button. Need force myself to back off some how.

Tomorrow probably be a rest day as I have to travel out of town, but hoping for a 20+ mile run Sunday, pending weather.

7.5MPH on the dreadmill is roughly a 1:45 half-marathon. So if there are pacers at the HM next week, I think that is where I will line up. Sub 1:50 is my goal, so we will see.

 Hahaha, those are a great idea with the inbuilt sock that would stop grit getting in.

But I'm afraid my vanity wouldn't let me wear them.

I love the Vomeros; they're simply great for distance. I haven't tried the 13s as I'm now just trying out the Epic Reacts, but to date I've had zero foot issues with them. No calluses, no black/missing toenails, and no blisters. Of course, everyone's different and YMMV and all that, but I love 'em.
