They sold hyacinth that they used in their display. Two for a dollar. I put this together using 1 and a half bags. I bought 3 bags, and I was able to get four pots total to spread around the house. NSV. I just love the smell.

Machka, it must be so hard to do nothing but wait. Patience is a hard lesson to learn for someone as active as you. Guess God must want you to sit for a while and chat to him. How long do the doctor's think your hubby will need to be kept in an induced coma?

Well, Sisters, I am just rushing out to do the morning chores, then I am having a girls day out with two of my daughters, driving to the next town to shop. We are having a farewell party for my husband next week and going out to dinner so I am going to look for a dress to wear. We are meant to be paid out within the next two weeks. I still haven't been given a leaving day yet...

Tomorrow is Easter here and I might try going to a new church that I've been reading about in the local paper with a pastor from Africa.

Then on Monday I am planning to go with the Tramping club again to do the Manawatu Gorge Walk.

I am going to post durimg the day hoping it will give me less pain at night. Night is my favorite time because of all the medicine I take that helps me have a good night sleep and help me go to sleep easily. I may wake up fairly pain free but the. One thing these old fingers touch something, the pain starts. And that may mean if a finger touches any skin like the palm of its own hand.

Heather, I love the blurb. It lets a potential buyer know exactly what he may be getting it when they read the book. I admire you for facing those ghosts of the past and writing them down. I hope your sons can read it and understand why you wrote it.

Allie, I read somewhere yesterday that the FDC says that the family of a deceased member do not have to pay the bills. It comes out of the estate. My husband had been wanting to do a reverse mortgage, he thought it would be the the back would buy our house and give us monthly checks. Ummmmmm no. So I did my internet search and found out about it. I did think that the family was responsible if the owner of the reverse mortgage died. I guess I was wrong. Maybe if we did do that and he died, we would have to sell the house and pay it from the proceeds. The bank would never get the money from the worth of this house. It just ain't worth that much. We were so proud the day we went to the bank and made that last mortgage payment. I had never known anyone who was a home owner. Maybe it was something so one talked about and I just didn't know they owned thier home outright. But we were part of a family that always had financial problems, and there were always struggles.

When we move the weekend of the 7-8th, it might be awhile until we get internet/dish all squared away. Until then I will be MIA! That's not until, that weekend so I'm not leaving just yet!!

I've told my husband we're eating up what we have, and buying microwavable food until we get up to the new place! Simple stuff. Packing up and cleaning this place with only a week to do it is stress!!! Also because its hooks, we have to pace ourselves! My job is to not let husband work too hard!

Its the little things~
I know we are not liable for his bills, but they like to ruffle our feathers anyway..
With a reverse mortgage there are opens, my dad used 65.000 dollars out of the equity he had in the house but they are charging alarming interest on it all, got the tax bill for the house, and all the other bills.. Now I dont care about the house, but my brother on the other hand might want to flip it with his son, so if they did that they would have to pay the reverse mortgage off and then work from there..
I put up my new woodstock healing chimes outside my window... ohhh do they sound wonderful.. if you want to hear what they sound like go to woodstock windchimes sound room, and put in healing windchimes...
Had a wonderful afternoon with a dear friend.. brought Alfie with me and of course she fell in love... we had a nice lunch and wine and watched on Hallmark movie on the firestick... Rescue Dog show,, it was just wonderful and Alfie made himself to home... such a lovely afternoon..
I came home and went to my storage area and got my fountain out and set up and got a few solar lights out.. its supposed to rain tonight, so I just brought one chair out and sat for a few minutes.
now back in and sitting in my room , will get the bed made up in a few.

Thank you ladies for your feedback on the blurb. I read some blogs on how to do it and used my cancer friend's memoir blurb as a template (she had professional input from an editor). I think it does the job.

Trish - We are going to the Gulf of Bothnia, between Sweden and Finland. Also stopping in Norway and Germany. We have three stops in Sweden and one in Åland, which is Finnish, but they speak Swedish. I have been learning Swedish on Duolingo and I am currently 53% fluent. :laugh:
Our ship is tiny compared to the big cruise ships - only 430 passengers. Ten times round the sun deck is just over a mile. This is the third year we have had the exact same cabin and the same table just for two. We are very anti social as everyone on the cruise is so OLD. :laugh: (It's for over 50s, but most people are 70+ ) Next year they are retiring the ship, which makes us very, very sad. There is another one, which takes around 600 passengers, so we will have to try that. We love the fact that they pick you up from your own front door and you never have to touch your cases again until they appear in your cabin. We have loved our last two years cruising. Last year I did so much exercise, swimming and walking about that I was exhausted by the end. Didn't put on any weight though!

Janetr - You prompted me to arrange to go up again for my cancer friend 's chemo on the 9th.

Laura ... I couldn't remember my password either. So went through Facebook ... once on MFP through Facebook I was able to go to MFP settings and change my password! Then went back to Facebook and changed that password too. Now I need to find my FitBit password ....

DH and I went to see "Black Panther" today. It would never make my list of top 10 favorites, but it was great to get him out for the excursion and we have been talking about it almost non-stop since getting home. It was provocative and I appreciated the depiction of strong women!

I'm not caught up with reading here, but wanted to drop and say hello before too much more time passed.

Joyce, the hardest part of writing a will is deciding what you want it to say--who gets what. Paying the attorney is the easy part. Before you and Charlie worry about whether to hire an attorney or use free software, you have to know what you want to happen with the stuff you will leave behind.

We went to a barbeque at the park clubhouse this afternoon and Jake was thrilled to get out of the house and be social. I am thrilled at his continued recovery.

KJ – poor Joaquin. It’s so great that he’s such a good eater and eats so many different foods. Vince is the pickiest eater on the planet and he finally admitted that it’s because of the way his mother fed him when he was little – always the same thing.

After exercise went to the Salvation Army, got a few things that I thought were nice, then to Big Lots who still doesn’t have Vince’s soda so I went to Food Lion and used some of my raincheck. Came home and started digging out the drainpipes in preparation for trenching. I had to constantly ask Vince to do it, but now that he’s started I know him well enough that he’ll finish it. Only thing is, it might take a while. I’d like to rent the trencher this weekend because I have a feeling that it won’t be very busy, especially Sunday.

Needed to take a shower after digging out the drainpipes. I was hoping to let my hair just go for a few days without washing it, but that wasn’t to be.

Okie – I only go to Big Lots to check on the soda if I’m right in the area. Like today it was on my way home. I certainly won’t go out of my way any to check it out. Vince likes the kind they have on sale, but he got the kind I had the raincheck for. Besides, I needed some other things at Food Lion so I would have had to go there tomorrow anyway, so I just got the things today.

Grace – lovely crochet. Wish I could do work like that. Do you use a pattern or just the pattern in your head?

We went to Lowe’s, got some of the connectors for the drainpipe. Do you know that I was looking for buttercup flower bulbs and they didn’t have any? Anyway, I think that’s the name of the plant. It’s a yellow flower that blooms really early in the season.

Going to watch some TV, going to also try recording “Jesus Christ Superstar” Sunday. I really like that play, don’t know why they don’t perform it around here. I would think with this being the Bible Belt something like that would do well.

Boarded my last flight of the day... As I ascend like an arrow in the darkness in a few moments, am launching healing, comforting vibrations into the atmosphere, to rain peace and soothing relief to those whose bruised and wounded hearts and minds and bodies ache tonight.

I tend toward flights of fancy when I'm exhausted... But nonetheless, the intent is true. I hate it when so many of us hurt.

They don't know. In many ways, that's up to my husband. They've tried to reduce the sedation but he didn't handle it ... the pressure on his brain went too high.

In the beginning, he was supposed to be sitting up and communicating with me within about 3 days. Now it's anyone's guess.

They're doing everything they can to keep him alive and comfortable, so he is much the same day by day.

Heather, perfect blurb for your book.

Well my last day off was a little stressful. Got a call that DH’s heart was acting up again and he was on the way to the emergency room. Luckily my DD was home so could bring me into town. He had this same problem last year. His heart starts to beat irregularly and race which causes him to not be able to catch his breath. It calmed down and sent him home with orders to contact his heart dr. His meds may need tweaking . Gave me a scare. He was fine the rest of the day.

I’m exhausted so in bed and ready to relax and grab my book. Just wanted to stop in and check in with you ladies.
