for the last few years we've been going to this place (riding our bikes of course) and having brunch and mimosas on Sunday. we decided not to this year or I okay'd it when kirby suggested it. we can't eat the way we used to so it seems like we're spending (over 100) for brunch. so we are just going to have a simple breakfast at this place up the street and have mimosas at home, all I need it orange juice.
my hair has grown out so I have a hair appointment to get it cut again.
hugs to all that need them
I'm sorry for all the losses in the group
congrats to all the successes!!
welcome to all the new peeps!
just remember-
everything happens for a reason, you may not understand it at the moment but if you pay attention it will make sense later.
life is not a dress rehearsal, this is it.

Did Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do Stott Pilates Firm and Fit DVD.
Made some chocolate bran muffins and petite turkey meatloaves for us to have later in the week. Just cut the cat’s nails and gave them the Revolution.
M – you and your husband are in my thoughts constantly. I can hardly imagine what you’re going thru.
Terry – Vince used to have attacks of tachycardia (heartbeat too fast). What he used to do was to sit on the toilet and bear down as if having a BM. The added stress on his heart would cause it to go back to regular rhythm. Perhaps your hubby can ask his cardiologist if there are any “tricks” to get his heartbeat back to normal.
Think I’ll probably go to WalMart. Vince will need milk for Monday and I’m sure they’ll be closed Sunday. I just read that WalMart will be open on Sunday. Maybe I’ll get his milk on Monday since I want to go there to get candy on sale ½ price. I need some of the mini M&M’s for baking. So I can get his milk then and have it home before he gets up and needs it.
Wendy – loved your buying expedition!!! That is so wonderful of you to take the horse and not let him go to that fate. He’s beautiful; I can understand why you fell in love with him. Yes, did you get a dress?
Oh, I’m so proud of myself. Yesterday when I went to the deep water class, the instructor brought in a basket of chocolate eggs and Hershey’s kisses. I admit, I looked at them for quite a while, but I didn’t have one.
Kyla – I am probaby referring to daffodils. I looked at all the bulbs they had at Lowes and I didn’t see that one. I was looking at the pictures thinking maybe I had the wrong name (which I did) Maybe your dh can ask also if there are any “tricks”. The MD keeps wanting Vince to go on Eliquis since he’s on warfarin. He doesn’t want to switch mainly because Eliquis is fairly new and warfarin has been around for years and years. They don’t know the long-term effects of Eliquis, but they know the terms for warfarin. Yes, he has to go for his monthly protine, but he feels that in the long run for peace of his mind, he’ll do that.

Margaret: The flowers are glorious! Thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:
Becca: I am so excited for you! I hope you are very happy with your son & the new location. I'll be looking for updates when you can manage them.
Barbie: The last time I was with Arrow he was a total brat. I hope today is better. :grumble: I am so grateful that I don't actually own the beast. I am learning so much as a result of his owner's generosity.
Machka: Prayers for you and your DH.
Terry in VT: So glad that your DH's heart calmed down and they sent him home. I hope the doctor can successfully tweak his meds and solve this worry. :flowerforyou:
Kim: I hope your family celebration turns out very well and that your brother does not harm you. (((HUGS))) If he does, please file charges.

Sipping with my first of many cups of coffee now. I've washed down my bathroom, tub, basin, and boxed up all items I don't immediately need. Put toiletries in a basket for the next week. I have a box of pads and tampons not sure what to do with. I was going to give them to my family of 11 down the street. I'm giving her a lot of items from frig. But my tampons are large, and she has all slim teenagers. Not the size I would buy, I will ask the mom in private messenger about that.
Have to buy bulbs, and a new toliet seat as ours in the master, has cracked.
Well have a week to pack this place up, so in my eyes that's pretty doable. No stress.
Pip, your words are on point. Life is not a dress rehearsal. We are in the drivers seat of our own lives. No one to live our lives for us, or to depend so much on external people for our own happiness. I make myself happy! I depend on my own sense of security.
Trying to devise a deal to move boxes down the outside stairs, without having to shlup up and down them when moving. I know it wilk be great exercise, but my knees and back will hate me. Might find long boards, but how to get the boxes down without tumbling them?...... I will take a pic when we devise this scientific masterpiece! I'm sensing broken stuff already.....
Hugs friends to all that need them. With the illness's running through this group, know we are there with my you. Close your eyes and feel our strength. Use that strength to get thru what you have to do.

Hi Sisters, my middle daughter who is a fashion diva, picked out a pants suit for me to wear. It is wide-legged so it actually looks like a long skirt. The top part is black and sleeveless and the legs are grey. It is a bit snug on me, but was the only one left. So now I have a really good incentive to stop putting food into my mouth if I want to be able to sit down in my new pants suit. I haven't had a pants suit in many many years, maybe never! I guess they are back in fashion here. My daughter says she wants to have it after I wear it to the dinner, so she had an ulterior motive in picking it out for me. LOL.
I have only told you part of the story of the horse and that man. He is a real bad man and we were very uneasy when he moved in and rented the place next door. He has been in prison and his father was a serial killer who used to use his son as bait to lure young girls to be his son's nanny, way out on a remote farm...and then he would rape and kill them. Animal abuse was a part of the sociopathic way this man was raised. (There has been a documentary made about them that I watched). Anyway, we heaved a sigh of relief when they moved away. I had tried to get the wife (partner) to take better care of the horses and she did her best with no money to take care of her ones, but she wasn't allowed to touch his...She was afraid of him. I am so glad she has left him and he hasn't killed her. I know he is not his father, but his mind has been warped from a young age. I felt sorry for her. and I felt sorry for that little filly and I tried to buy her. Now she is going to be mine, it seems. Wendy8 -
I changed my email and my password. Checking to see how this posts. I keep getting messages to verify my email, but no email from them.
I hate changing things!
Edited to add: looks like I’m still me. Lol.6 -
Happy Saturday! We are in a winter storm warning this afternoon and tomorrow. They are saying we could get 2-6 inches of snow and then Monday it is to be in high 50's. Gotta love Nebraska weather.
Not sure who's idea it was to make a graph of weight. I really like that idea and making one for mine and hoping it will help me get back and stay on track. As seems I keep gainning and losing the same couple pounds over and over.
We are a busy group and I so enjoy reading about everyone. Been a slow day at work, no one wants to be the hospital for Easter. But tomorrow afternoon ER will pickup and with the full blue moon tonight it will not be boring so enjoying today and getting a lot of paper work done.
Blessings, Vicki GI NE5 -

Wendy, YIKES! So glad that woman got away from that man and that you got the horse! She is a beauty. The pantsuit sounds lovely!
Heather, I too liked your blurb. Have you sent the letter to your boys yet? Hugs for you.
Allie, so glad that your family members have sorted out their issues! Not nice of all of them to gang up on you, you've been through enough! Sincerely hope that your dad's house won't be an issue for much longer.
Lisa, congrats on the loss! Also congrats on the success of your event! I know you are looking forward to your new adventure - enjoy!
Becca, wish I could be there to help moving the boxes down the stairs, doesn't sound like much fun, I gotta say! Just think of the calories burned! If you do some sort of slide, make sure you put the non-breakables down it, carry the breakables! And perhaps if you did a slide, make it so that you walk down the stairs kind of guiding the descent. I realize you'll still be going up and down stairs, but if you aren't carrying stuff your back and knees might not be quite as upset with you. Good luck!
Katla, good luck with Arrow! Hope he is a nice boy for you when you go there.
Terry, don't blame you for being concerned about your daughter! There are so many nuts out there these days, it's scary! Glad you are hearing from her. Did you tell her to use a code word or something so that you would know that it's her? I gave my younger son heck one time, he would always just say something very generic when I messaged him, so I asked him to make it more personal so that I knew it was him and not some nut case who had taken his phone and left him out in the bush somewhere! Boy, us moms and the things we think of .....
Michele, I also wondered if you meant daffodils as I didn't think buttercups were bulbs. I love daffodils! Such a nice bright flower to see on a gloomy drizzly spring day!
Janetr, so sorry to hear of your friend's diagnosis. Sincerest wishes for a good outcome.
Had our son, his fiancee and our grandson over for dinner last night, grandson is just such a little cutie pie! Love him to bits! Will post a picture one day, just need to get stuff on my desktop, photos don't seem to want to go on my tablet, and my phone is next to useless for anything other than phone calls and texts! I don't think I even have MFP on it, I keep getting all these messages from it telling me I have no memory. Well, I know I have no memory, that's why I have to rely on the phone to remember things! lol
I made apple crisp for dessert last night, it was really good. Of course, hubby doesn't like it, so I had to make brownies too. They were really good too..... I did have dessert, and I enjoyed it! I also snacked after dinner, which was bad, but I'm back on the bandwagon today. I don't think one night of overindulgence will wreck the rest of the week of staying on track, so I'm okay with it.
Hope everyone has a great day/night!

Oh wow Wendy, that a scary story! She is so lucky to endure that and she wasn't killed!! What a beautiful horse, your heart can include one more.... What did your hubby do, just smile, shake his head??
Oh you people that still are getting snow!!!!! I would be all squirrelly bout now!
(((((((((Hugs))))))))!!!

Becca, I haven't mentioned the horse yet to my husband. He might not even notice another one in the paddock. LOL. She hasn't arrived yet so will just wait till I reach that bridge. Wendy5
