Tonight ceramics and mahjongg. I'm thinking that the guy drilled the holes for my ball too small.
Beth - if your sons's roommate doesn't want that apartment, I'll take it. Sounds lovely. I'll consider it as long as it's in NC....lol
Terry VT - cat cuddling was how I got Vince to keep from getting a fifth cat. Good thing, too, because we'll be getting Jessica's cat while she's in school.
Wendy - (((HUGS))) Good for you not giving in to buying
Beans - welcome!

Another great ride on the horse I have to sell (well, I don't have to but if I want to be down to three horses I do. Finally sold the mare I rescued this weekend. I meant to buy her get her well and find her a home. Well 15 months and $3000 later I sold her for $300. I hope they train and use her like they said they would. She isn't behaving for them. Hope I didn't do the wrong thing.
Anyway, hope all is well with everyone.

Mary still waiting for the snow. It might come tonight. It is windy today and grey.
Kelly so sorry about your friend losing her son.
I am going to start buying some paints so if I feel the project is too ambitious for the session I can finish it at home. I noticed on the paintings I am not as happy with it is because I rushed to finish. The last thing I added I was least happy with in the paintings. I have done five of these so far.
Still working on sleep. If I go too early then I wake up in the middle of the night. Still working at finding that right bedtime.

Hi Sisters, WOW, I just had a fantastic run. Took my wild heart down to the beach for a barefoot run in the wind with Jock and Lacey to double and triple my enjoyment. I just want to share with you the song that I played over and over while I ran. It might just be my all time favourite running song. It has strong, inspiring lyrics and a great beat. It starts like a rap song, which isn't that cool to run to, but as soon as the main refrain kicks in I can't fault it. You just have to listen past the first 15 seconds. So if you need a motivating work out or running song to pump you up I recommend: Imagine Dragons- Whatever It Takes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOsM-DYAEhY

(((Machka))) I hope you get your insect bite situation resolved. It sounds miserable. :flowerforyou:
KJ: Prayers for your friend who has lost her oldest son. Words fail me and my heart is aching for her.
Margaret: Happy Snow Day!!!
Pip: Fabulous photo of you and Kirby. :flowerforyou:
Heather: Congrats on so many things--your house purchase seems to be progressing well, and your success with going alcohol free is admirable. I need to go alcohol free, too, so I'm jumping on the bandwagon right now. I want to feel better.
Beans: Welcome to a great group.
I'm serious on the alcohol free comment. I'm going to focus on peppermint tea in the evenings. It is warm, soothing, and delicious without any additions.

Lanette, I usually only work three days a week, every once in awhile I will cover a shift or two if someone is away. We have a very small staff, and right now three of us are part time (one is still in university), so that works out quite well when someone needs time off there is someone to cover. LOL about the storage wars! We do do auctions, but we use an online site, so our manager will open the locker, which involves drilling out the lock, then she takes some photos, how many depends on the size of the locker, she tries to give people a good idea of what's in there. Then it gets a special lock put in and a numbered metal seal is put on there. This is all photographed as well, to make sure that everything is on the up and up. As for what's in the lockers, well, sometimes it's just garbage. However, where we are right now the housing market is just nuts! People will sell their current home and the next one won't be built for sometimes up to six months. There are very few rentals available, so they end up storing all their worldly possessions and moving in with friends or family or their RV til it's ready. Other folks are living in smaller condos so the Christmas decorations and that sort of thing is in storage. Others are decluttering in preparation for selling, the list goes on! I personally know of 3 motorcycles (2 are Moto Guzzi, the other is a Harley) and an electric bike that are being stored. Oh and one guy has his Mercedes in there right now!
Kelly, my heart breaks for your friend. I too am unable to comprehend that level of loss, I hope your littles were able to be of some comfort.
Machka, I hope you have found some relief and that the biter(s) are gone!!! I'm okay sharing my bed with my hubby, but multi legged critters need to go somewhere else! (can't even have the cat on the bed, hubby is allergic)
Heather, congrats on being AF for so long! One day at a time! Won't it be wonderful when you can be in Hove and be able to see those darling children more often! Good luck with the stove, I hope the buyers will want it too. Here, most homes are sold with the appliances and window coverings included. This all gets written into the contract. When we sold, and we knew the place would be demolished because we sold to a developer, the realtor was trying to make us leave everything and I looked at him and said "why?" He spoke to his dad/development partner and came back with "take what you want". Well, brought the fridge with us as it was pretty new, sold my washer and dryer, gave the dishwasher and stove to our older son and his fiancee! Also brought most of the curtains and am using them in our new space.
Beth, I'm with Michele! That apartment sounds wonderful! What are your son's roommates expectations??
Wendy, {{{HUGS}}}, maybe Pip's boot needs to be applied to your hubby! Or that one of yours would probably do the trick too! I enjoy Imagine Dragons music too, they have played here live a few times.
Today has been a good day. Went over to a friends (there are six of us who get together Monday afternoons and do our craft stuff), she had ginger cookies out and I only had one. This is a huge NSV for me! I also bought cookies that hubby likes but I do not. I did buy some arrowroot cookies also, and some pudding cups. I think this will be a better after dinner snack for me, will give me the flavors and textures that I'm looking for and will hopefully keep me from grazing my way thru the evening. Hope everyone has a great day/night!

Unfortunately they are slightly worse. I've just had to take my wedding band off because my fingers are slightly swollen, and it didn't help that whatever it was got my ring finger, which is swelling up nicely now.
The red area around one of the back of the arm bites is now about the size of a golf ball. The rest aren't quite that bad.
I've been taking antihistamines because I've been more congested since the bites too.
We've added ant to the list of possibilities ... we haven't had many of the small ants around, but I've seen a lot of jack jumpers. I did get bit by a jack jumper a couple years ago, and in comparing then and now ... maybe.

Somebody asked me what TRX is, sorry I can't remember who! I could go in to a rather long, somewhat boring and confusing explanation or I could just suggest that you Google it. I don't say this to be rude, rather because you will get a MUCH better explanation than I could ever give and you should be able to actually see exercises. It's a really good workout, and it's all based on using your own bodyweight to do the work. It can be made more or less difficult depending on your level of comfort. I don't think it will ever be easy..... lol
Machka, sorry to hear you're suffering even more! Could you be having a reaction to a poison that maybe got into you? Would medical attention be an idea? Do take care!
Katla, glad you had an enjoyable riding lesson! I'm guessing this means Arrow cooperated?? If so, nice!

Hello all: Got my EKG done today, probably a couple of days until I hear anything. Results should be posted to my patient portal. It took longer than normal because an intern did it first and then the tech had to check her results. She had forgotten to do one view. Extra puppy has gone home now and mine is lost without him but I am ready to be down to just one.
Swim team coach brought it to my son's attention that she thought my 13 yo DGD is cutting. This has turned out to be true. They went to ER for emergency psych evaluation. She was not admitted but will be seeing a counselor once a week with and without parents. This makes me so sad for her and I have no idea how to help her. It has been a teary afternoon.
KJ - I cannot imagine that kind of loss. Blessings to all involved.
Margaret - I like your paintings. DD went to one of those classes and painted an owl. I think it is amazing how each person's painting is different even though they are painting the same thing.
Heather - Hope things continue well on the housing front. Hard to believe Bea is going to be 2.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA7 -
I went to CVS today to get some candy on sale to give to the soup kitchen. I kept looking around for something that I don't like. Eventually, I found it. Good!
Evelyn - for a long time I've wanted this TRX that you use at home. By the time I got it, that's when I started having balance issues so I haven't used it. I would like to give it a try just to see if I can do it.
Sue in WA - I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter.

Talked with eldest son, and he's been so nice about what we can afford. He stated it doesn't have to be an equal 50/50 split. Presently we can not spend more than $900 (what we're paying now), as our portion.
Was going to get my hair cut short, but the stylist was so nice, telling me my long hair was beautiful. That was a nice compliment. She also stated my hair felt strong, so I am keeping it, for now!
Take care, hugs to all!

@wildhorsewendy - Great song but too slow a cadence for me. I'm working up to 180 bpm and that one is recorded at about 135 or so, too slow. But I found it at 180 bpm, wow, he's really zipping through those words at that rate. lol I'd probably use it for working out but not running. Never heard of the group, a new one for me. I'm perpetually behind the times. I still listen to music from the 70s. lol
Had a successful day. Did a 40 minute workout and ran a mile and a half to start it off. Then I spent the day ordering tile and bathroom fixtures for a shower remodel at the city house. Then I bought a grand-daughter a birthday present (#12 is 1 yr old today) and came home to rake leaves. I got five 42 gallon trash sacks stuffed and compressed full of leaves and only did about 1/8 of my yard. Live Oak trees lose their leaves in the spring when the new leaves come in and push off the old leaves so I have to deal with leaf fall twice a year. In the fall it's red oaks and those leaves decompose well so I just mulch them with a mower. But live oak trees leaves are hard and waxy and don't decompose easily and will just build up for a year or two so I don't mulch them if possible or put them in the compost pile. My live oak trees are HUGE so they drop a lot of leaves. Too many.

Sue: I am so sorry to hear that your granddaughter has been cutting herself. I hope they are able to get good help for her so she can heal.
DH has already gone to bed and I'm not far behind him. It is only a little after 8 pm. I can't believe I'm ready for sleep so early.

I am so sorry to hear this Sue, I will remember you all in prayer. I hope I can be some what encouraging to tell you that I have 3 grand-daughters now 21, 19 and 17 and all three went thru some stage of cutting to different degrees and lengths of time. It is heart wrenching and the helplessness it worst or all. All three came thru it and have stopped the self destructive behavior. Its almost like an "every body" does it mind set with these young girls. It breaks my heart for the statement this makes on our children's lack of self-esteem and self love. (((Hugs))) my dear friend.

I almost have to laugh ... <<shakes head>>
I’ve had to take my wedding ring off … whatever it was that bit me, also bit me on the ring finger and it started to swell. So then I put the ring on my other hand, but discovered that hand is slightly swollen too. Possibly because of all the bites further up. When I tried to take the ring off, I burst a blood vessel in that finger.
My ring is tungsten so there is no flexibility to it whatsoever and I'd have to go to ER to have it removed if my fingers did swell that much ... hence my haste in removing it.

Becca, sounds like you raised that boy well! Thoughtful young man.
Sue, hugs, many, many hugs. I sincerely hope your granddaughter gets the help she needs. I have no experience with any self destructive behavior, well except for the overeating , but I would imagine that just knowing she has your support would be a help....
Well, the after dinner snack mostly did the trick, although I did have an orange afterwards too. I'm okay with that! Certainly better than a handful of cookies!!!
Evelyn, Vancouver Island1 -
M in oz - I usedd parsley pills, and tons of tea. Watermelons work for my swelling also.
I didn’t measure anything today from restaurants as we are traveling. Still under - but I can’t see why. I ate half a bag of hostess hickory sticks!!
The luncheon tomorrow will not be measured exactly either.
I drove through wicked winter driving conditions today for 8 hours.
Funeral tomorrow morning for a dear man that suffered more than anyone should ever have to. We are all glad to see him in peace now, but is still a big loss for his wife who will have a very different life from here on.
I may just eat everything that she does. I do wish I didn’t live so far. Her kids are way too selfish to see her needs.
Anyway, sorry to be such a Debbie downer. My 60th birthday is on Wednesday. I had to cancel a party that my daughter and mother put significant work into. I hope the weekend date works out ok for them.
On the up side, I just spent some beautiful time with my DH is the hot tub! We have a nice simple hotel in Red Deer, but it has a hot tub and breakfast. Happy happy!
Keep it real girls!
Love sharing in your hard times, messed up times, and of course, your good times.

Becca, I looked at the first apartment. It the other was in a big building and I didn't look into it to see if they were featuring an individual one. But the first one had large rooms. I think the price was about the same as you posted last week.
Well I did e glamour shots also, I did it on face book on my iPad and didn't know how to get it here. So I messaged Becca. You know she is always the wise one. So I pulled it up on my phone and took A picture with my iPad under a good light. So I hope this is a good picture, it did really show me all glam end up. So here is me all flamed up.

Sue I’m so sorry to hear about your granddaughter. I will add her to my prayers. I have no experience with cutting so I have nothing to offer.
Machka I swell up with bug bites too. Hub can take a bunch of bites if he hits a hive of fire ants weedeating and just itch a little (he now wears jeans and boots to weedeat, it only took two hits from the fire ant piles to teach him that lesson). I can get one bite and start swelling up. Benadryl orally and cream usually helps some for me.
Marcelyn We have the same tree situation here. I am lazy though and would mulch the spring leaves also if the mower had been running Saturday. I vacuum/mulched and bagged just the pygmy yard (the small section of back yard, no goats, just what we call it because it is so small) and one side of one fence line and filled 5 55 gallon bags. I think I got lucky we ran out of fuel for the vac. Our garbage men will take our trash can plus 5 items so I was at the limit of what they will take this week.
