ordered my patio furniture.. cost more than I wanted, but it is foldable and easy to put away for storage and will last me awhile...
went and fed DFIL and they gave him a different breakfast this morning and Tom and I fed him , he ate it all...sometimes change is good..
I bought myself an early birthday present, I have always loved wind chimes, Tom did not... so I bought myself a beautiful woodstock healing wind chime.. that will hang right outside my bedroom window.. it is so soothing.. you can check it out , google woodstock wind chimes sounds- and check out the healing ones. just lovely.. thee was one I really really loved but couldn't see paying 186.00 for a wind chime..have laundry in dryer and will take a rest... then maybe up to my brothers ..9 -
Becca, you are absolutely right about me setting a bedtime for myself, and I have. The only problem is I can always find "one more thing" that needs to be done or that I want to do. Unfortunately this quite often involves the tv or computer and I just get sucked in. I know, I know, and I'm working on it! lol
Allie, how nice to have your zen patio well on the way! And how lovely to have your windchimes as well, they can be a peaceful sound for sure.
Lisa, congrats on clearing out all the files! That's gotta feel so great! Congrats on the weight loss too, I'm happy for you that the Dukan plan is working for you.
Welcome to the newbies! Congrats to those who are having success, hugs to those who are not.... hugs also to those who are having family issues of one sort or another.
Yesterday was a good day til after supper. I should have gone upstairs and brushed my teeth, but I didn't.... Really need to work on that habit. At work today and working with a fellow who likes getting out of the office and doing stuff in the facility (I work in a self storage facility), so I don't get as much walking in as I do when I work with the fellow who would rather be surfing the net. Oh well, I will get some walking in, I just tell him that it's my turn! lol
Need to get my rear in gear and sign up for the next session of TRX at the rec centre. I didn't go last week, just had too much to do and was having company in the afternoon so really had to get my house tidied. That's the thing with working all weekend, by Monday parts of the house look kind of like a bomb has gone off! Back drinking my hot lemon water today, pretty sure I've got some water retention happening, rings are very tight. Possibly some food retention too..... but I have til Wed to rein that in!
Well, that's it for me for now, hope you all have a wonderful day/night!

Hi Sisters, I had a good weigh in this morning. Down a pound and 2 ounces. The scale hadn't moved in a few days and I was wondering if this new diet was going to work for me. So I am pleased that finally it is moving. I did skip the rice yesterday, so maybe that helped make the difference. Now I am at least in the range that I have set for myself. I'm at the top of that range and would prefer to be at the bottom but as long as I am moving in the right direction I will be happy with that. Slow progress is still progress! I'm just going out for a 30 min run with Jock now before the sun comes up. Wendy11

Do drink lots of water though ... one of the few things I retained from my personal trainer was that our muscles, after great exertion "shrink" somewhat ... like a dried out sponge ... and need to be rehydrated. Supposedly, this helps to minimize the soreness. It did help me and obviously hydration is good any time.

Katla - I don't know how the process compares to the US, but we always have to bear in mind that sellers or buyers can pull out at any moment until exchange of contracts. After that it is 10 % forfeit until completion. The main problem is the dreaded "chain" when every sale depends on the others selling all the way down the chain. As we are near the top we are hoping that our vendor's purchase doesn't prolong the chain, or they decide to rent for a while. Normally everyone in the chain has to exchange and then complete on the same day to avoid any one purchase falling through the cracks. All the money has to clear through the banking system on the day. Having two houses on the go would be a very expensive proposition in the south of the UK as property prices are ludicrously high. Borrowing money as a 'bridging loan' would be prohibitive. "Patience is a virtue" my mother used to say. At least the conveyancing solicitors have to work for their money.
It's "no sale no fee".

I’m making egg roll in a bowl for supper because the idea of it sounded so yummy, but it smells horrendous. I don’t know if I can eat it.
Kay, that made me laugh out loud. You have to let us know if you ate it. Update, just saw your review. Shrimp might be better, but then I love shrimp.
Janetr OKC
I even ate the leftover for lunch today. It smelled better today. It’s supposed to be a really delicious KETO meal, but of course serving it with corn muffins sort of cancels that out. I am going to try it with shrimp before I give up on the recipe. It’s basically nothing but bagged cole slaw mix stir fried with meat (ground beef, pork, sausage, turkey or shrimp) with ginger, soy sauce, garlic and onion. I used Bragg’s Amino Acids instead of soy sauce. It had to be the ground beef that smelled bad, but it could have been the Bragg’s. It didn’t taste bad, and Dave and I are both still alive so.......

Hi I'm new and your title caught my eye! I am totally frustrated! I am taking a cruise with my daughter and the rest of my family in June for my daughters high school graduation and I would like to be at 15 pounds lighter - unfortunately I have one hurdle which is I have thyroid disease which totally sucks so:
March goal -
* Log food Daily
* Walk 3 - 4 times a week after work
* start to take some pride in the way I look
* lose 5 pounds not a huge goal but ya a start and I know it's going to be challenging with Hypo
* to stop eating mindlessly
* to learn how to make friends - yes this is a sad one along with my weight gain I have litterly become a hermit unless it comes to something with my daughter - I don't know how to make friends anymore and I want to change that
Well that's basically my goals in a nutshell - not sure I can accomplish it all but I'm going to try!12 -
RV Rita: Happy Birthday! :flowerforyou:
Lanette: Thanks to yoga I don't have too much sagging, but sometimes I think my skin is too much like finely pleated chiffon. :ohwell:
Heather: I will send good thoughts that your home sale is completed promptly and you get to move in soon. I'll bet the people who bought your home feel the same way & are hoping they can move in sooner rather than later. :flowerforyou:
I'm feeling under par but I'm determined to go for my riding lesson. It seems like forever since I've been out to the stable. It may be just what I need to kick my health up a notch.

Hello all: We had a beautiful day yesterday and DD and I did lots of yardwork. We got our blueberries weeded, composted and the cages set up again. Good thing as the deer were in the back yard last evening. They are horrible and strip the berries and leaves right off the bushes. They totally ate one of the little bushes we planted last year. There is only about 2 inches of it sticking up and it doesn't look as if it will make it. The others have all got buds on them so we should have berries this year. Today my muscles are sore and it is chilly and rainy again.
Just found out today that one of my good friends from SD won a prize in the Publisher's Clearing house drawing. She won almost 5 million dollars. I am so happy for her as I know she struggled with financial issues, especially large medical bills.
I have an echocardiogram tomorrow. Just a checkup.
Rita - Happy Birthday!!
Katla - Hope you have a good ride on Arrow.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA with 2 labradoodle puppies just now as son is in Boston.

Allie, oh my! So glad you didn't hurt yourself and that Alfie was the only witness to what was, I'm sure, a very graceful landing! Although, if you had hurt yourself, can he dial 911??
IAmABetterMe, welcome! You've come to the right place! This is a great group of women and all will be more than happy to count you as a friend! Please let us know what you would like to be called and a general idea of where you are. We like to know a general geographic area just in case there is already someone else with that name, easier to keep track of who's who. This is a large, very chatty group!
Katie, that soup doesn't sound bad, I have to agree tho, it would probably be better with shrimp or even chicken.
So far, so good today, decent weather, good co-worker and nice customers!
Hope everyone has a great day!

I have been doing MFP and fitbit now for a couple of years but have not got involved in chatting. My number one goal for March is to try and get moving. Where I live in Ontario is cold and snowy so have not done a lot of walking this winter. I planned to but never followed through. The snow for the most part is gone so now I have no reason. I have managed to get out walking now for 3 days in a row. If I can keep pushing through March the weather usually turns in April and before you know it my bike can come out. I do love biking but live in quite a hilly terrain, its an amazing workout once you get used to pumping up all the hills. Does not matter in what direction I bike, I am greeted by hills. So looking forward to Spring and warmer weather.

Did Beach Core Pilates DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do part of a 10 Minute Yoga Fix DVD, hold my plank, then take the extremepump class.
Almost forgot that I was supposed to go to a memorial service for a gal from Newcomers so hurried up and took a shower, fixed my hair. On the way there stopped and got a sympathy card. Went to the service. I didn't realize that the service was going to be at the church's regular Sunday service, I thought it would be a service just for her. The mass was in her memory. Afterwards went to the repast. Had 2 pieces of barbecue chicken (small pieces), they had this shrimp and pasta so had the shrimp, tried this cauliflower pancake (it was pretty good), had some salad and fruit. I did splurge and have a bit of peach cobbler and a little of the strawberry/banana pudding. I didn't realize the strawberries were all throughout it, I thought they were just on top. Came home and had dinner, now here, then I'll watch some TV and get to bed.
Maybe instead of doing a little yoga on Mnday mornings, I should think about hula hoop. An idea
Vicki - how wonderful living in Italy. What brought you to Italy? Congrats on the losses
Lisa in NC for 40 more days - what a great visual of your weight journey! I'm so impressed
katla - feel better fast
Had that black bean burger yesterday at the Biltmore. It's just amazing how many calories are in a black bean burger. I would never have thought there'd be that many
allie - what a great present you got yourself. You deserve it. Glad you're OK after your tumble
Iam - welcome to a great group! Where are you planning to go?
Welcome anyone else new that I may have missed.
Michele in NC for the long haul5 -

Having a frustrating time with the DH knee situation-- just as it seemed the knees were feeling a bit better he developed fluid in the one leg. Going to call the doc tomorrow. I read that it was a good idea to elevate and also to try some exercise so I hauled him off to the gym today but he only lasted five minutes before it started hurting too much. Feel so bad for him. They already ruled out a blood clot.
Otherwise it was a beautiful sunny cold day which I mostly spent inside cooking. Made broccolinI with pine nuts and grilled lemons, hummus, tabouli and roast chicken with sumac.
Now trying to stay away from food so I can get bloodwork done tomorrow morning.
Thanks to Barbie for the March link and the wise counsel!

Rita, Happy Birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day.
Allie, hope you don’t wake up to any bruises from your fall. I bet Alfie was worried.
Becca, if I looked that good after a makeover I’d put it as my MFP pic. Lol
Welcome newbies!
Snowed most of the afternoon and still coming down. If it keeps up we will have about a foot by morning.
DH and I went to lunch at a local place we like to go to. Then the bookstores. I found ar couple of used books. Also went to an antique store but didn’t find any old jewelry to mix with my chainmaille jewelry. I’ll keep looking until I find just the right thing. My brass jump rings should be here tomorrow I hope. I’m itching to work on something.
Still feeling like a big ole failure food wise. I’m eating like I did a year ago before I started MFP. So discouraging. I just have to get back on track. Once again tomorrow is a new day to get my buns in gear. Send me some good thoughts ladies.
Off to bed and book. Fresh sheets tonight. One of my most favorite things.
Hugs, Terry in snowy VT6
