    Yeah, it can be like that sometimes. It's usually always the same users who think it's funny to take over a thread asking a serious question and talk about poptarts.. or if you have a disagreement with someone, they tell their friends to join the thread and add their two cents or worse.

    You just have to either ignore it, report it or avoid it altogether (which kinda sucks cause this place can be a lot of fun too!).
    Seems like it would have been a lot easier to just say, "Oh, I didn't know that. I guess I learned something today."

    Oh, and OP, if you are having issues handling MFP's forums then I (very nicely and helpfully) suggest you never venture to other forums. Like for those dealing with gaming, weddings, babies...even pets...because MFP is by far THE tamest forum I've ever come across.

    It can't always be sunshine and daisies. Everyone's different and has other opinions. Just because people disagree doesn't mean you should take everyone's words to heart. Take it with a grain of salt.
