    quote]Doesn't He govern free-will?

That is always the sticky point for me.
    • If you believe in one omnipotent being, then you believe God gave us free will.
    • If you are not free to make every choice without anything predetermined, you do not have free will and you have a contradiction.

Also then, you must fully except that there is no fate.
    • With free will as described above, God would not know everything because he could not know your choices, so God doesn't know everything, which contradicts things.

And things continue to break down from there.

So, the Dodgers really don't control their own destiny?

    Drat.

    I've been there.

Merely sucking would have been an improvement.

It was like airplane food served by prostitutes.

Ughhh, WTF happened. They were so good for so long and they just suck now. Even Buffalo wild Wings is better anymore and that place drives me nuts. I'll stick with my Oregano's medium golds with blue cheese.

Oregano's works for sure; it's hard to go wrong there.

Zipps does okay by me too.
The one at Arrowhead is good sized and always seems to deliver.

So what's the point in living if that's your opinion?

Repopulate I guess. I’m not so deep that I need a point to live for. I’m just here trying to enjoy it while I can.

That's kinda like what I always thought was the point of everybody else's existence

Don’t dismiss the power of story. Even if everyone is in on the joke. Myths, heroes and a divine plan are full of unforgettable imagery which become part of a culture’s ethos.

I don't believe in God, but the majority of people in my family are very religious. I think it's probably a very comforting, peaceful thing to actually have that faith in something. I envy them for that.
