I've always preferred the taste of diet soda over regular. It surprised me when studies came out that correlated diet drinks with obesity, until I realized I was probably a contributing data point every time I ordered a big mac, fries and a diet coke.
That's actually what I suspect is causing that correlation...the "I'm having a diet coke, so I can afford to splurge a little and super-size my meal"/"I ordered the wooly-mammoth sized meal, so I'll have a diet coke to drink" phenomenon.

It won't happen. The rivers of red hot molten butthurt will flow for years.22 -
I've read here about strangers making inappropriate comments in general about people's food choices, but usually not direct evangalizing to their faces - it's certainly a first for me! Does this sort of thing happen often, and am I just oblivious? Does anyone want to share a story?
And of course, now I'm thinking of all the things I could have said if I was just a little bit quicker on my feet - did anyone actually think fast enough to make a good comeback?
I feel like this 99% of the time that I meet someone on KETO. Sorry KETO peeps, but, please.......JUST STOP!!!6 -

Yes there have been a number of inappropriate flags thrown - I called one out early on but I'm afraid giving any attention to these people just encourages them3 -
If I were running the site, there would be an Agree and Disagree button, and people would be able to see who agrees and disagrees with them. The woo button is not only meaningless because of the ambiguous meaning, but when it's used as "this post is just a bunch of woo" (when a comment collects 17 woos immediately after posting) it has an automatic personal attack emotion attached, whether or not it's meant that way.
For a site that hammers on respecting other people's views and will send warnings for fairly innocuous remarks if someone gets their feelings hurt, I'm completely lost why they would think a stealth attack button is a good idea.

Loveya! I had a fairly low woo count before this thread but it's on it's way to doubling now4 -
To be honest having the ability to view who clicked what in the little emoticons on the bottom of posts would just add to more drama and wouldn't really add anything truly useful to the conversation. I pay attention to what people say, I couldn't care less what anonymous person decided to click a button without expressing why. I mean how does knowing that it was BobSlayer2442 that clicked "woo" on my post help me exactly?
If one of my posts gets actually responded to with a response then I will care enough to take the time to read and respond. If someone responds to my post by clicking a button and saying nothing I honestly don't care.
Do I really want to see a bunch of "Hey, why did you click woo on my post BobSlayer244!?!?!?" posts filling up the forums? Not really.17 -

Nods. Keeping up the tradition that any post that contains the word woo requires at least one woo reaction.
I honestly don't care much about reactions myself, but I feel sorry every time someone with 20 posts starts an ACV thread and immediately collects a lot of wood.** Full disclosure I used to do that myself, and I'm sorry about it now when I put myself in other people's shoes.

Super food, LOL.
Super food's like PB, Granola, Blueberries, etc are what People like Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps and AT walkers use to ensure they get their necessary calories and nutrients in as dense a package as possible.
If you want to eat like Michael Phelps, you gotta train like Michale Phelps.3 -

I used to read those clickbait articles and always ended up feeling a little anxious because I either didn't like the foods or would have to change my whole way of eating to incorporate them. At one point I spent some time really thinking about the whole concept and came up with
1. Most of the articles were worded "studies show eating this food may contribute to a healthier heart". You can find a legitimate study that shows most nutrient dense foods contribute to heart health one way or another.
2. "This food is high in antioxidants". And so are a bunch of other foods not on the list.
3. If I tried to incorporate a serving of every superfood in every article at the recommended frequency I would be eating 3000 calories a day. How do you pick and choose? Heart health is more important than cell regeneration? Let your brain degenerate in order to support your gut?1 -

You set up a calendar, and rotate through them. Healthy cells, Monday the fourteenth. Clear arteries, Tuesday the fifteenth. Cognitive improvement, Wednesday the sixteenth. And so on.5 -
no no no - You have to do cognitive improvement at the beginning - otherwise by later in the week you will have forgotten which thing you are improving next.4
