Round 40/My Round 1
SW- 172
Round 40 GW- 170
Ultimate GW- 155
Day/Weight/Comment
5/08: 172.0; stayed within my calorie goal and exercised! Carbs were a little high though
5/09: 170.6; hip hop Zumba yesterday killed me! Stayed within my calorie goal and drank lots of water. Also was able to avoid the temptation of Carby snacks in the teachers lounge. Hooray for NSV!
5/10: 170.6; I’m just happy I didn’t gain! Did T25 in the morning and drank all my water. Went out to eat for dinner and had a very hard time trying to find something within my calorie limit and was pressured (not really lol) to have a beer. NSV: got a lite beer and only drank half and saved half my meal for lunch the next day
5/11; 170.8; didn’t want to see the scale go up but it’s not too bad. Stayed under my calorie goal yesterday and met my minimum water goal. I did drink more caffeine than usual and sat majority of the work day. NSV: I didn’t dip into the candy bowl or go across the mall get pretzels at work!
5/12: 170.8; shocked to see this number stay the same because I over indulged last night. I had pizza, lite beer, chips, and those hard seltzer water things and thought for sure I’d see a 1lb gain. Maybe tomorrow but today I’m happy about maintaining. NSV: I only ate 2 pieces of pizza instead of my usual 3-4!
5/13: 171.6; I knew it would rise! I stayed under my calorie goal but with high sodium foods, dairy, and carbs. And I didn’t get all my water in. It’s all good tho, it will come off. NSV: I am officially one pant size smaller.
5/14: 170.2; Happy that the water weight came off. Stayed under my calorie limit yesterday only because I was very busy all day but I didn’t make the healthiest choices and didn’t drink all my water. NSV: I skipped the fries at the drive thru and only got a sandwich (progress not perfection right lol)

First Round!
F, 54, 5' 6"
OSW - 186 (March 2018)
5/08 174 - I’ve been stuck between 173 and 175 for 2 weeks. I hope this helps get me to 172.5
5/09 172 - Well that was quick, but knowing my body and my scale, I'll bet I go back up tomorrow.
5/10 172.5 - As expected, I'm a little up this morning. But as long as I can end this round at 172 or 172.5, I'll count this round as a win!
5/11 173.5 - After I cursed at the scale this morning, since I have stayed on plan all week, I threw on a pair of pants I haven't worn in about a month. I knew right away they felt different. Lo and behold, I didn't have my little muffin top! It will be these little things that keep me going through these plateaus.
5/12 172.5 - I'm happy with this. I had pizza for supper tonight so we'll see if the sodium causes a problem tomorrow. I'm still within my calorie limit.
5/13 172 - I'm afraid to get my hopes up, but things look better than last week!
5/14 173 - I'm hoping this bump is because I didn't drink enough fluids yesterday. I'm still averaging better than the last two weeks though.
5/15
5/16
5/176 -
5/08 - 244 (which is a pound less than yesterday for me). Lowest I've been in way to long sadly, though when I started my weight loss journey (again...) I was 257.8, so I'm happy I'm heading in the right direction at least
5/09 - 243.8 - I've been trying to walk at least a mile on my lunch break around the campus I work at, and at night doing at least 30 min of one of my POUND dvd's. I'd like to start working some Yoga in there too to get more flexible, but feel like I need to lose a tad bit more weight to do most of the moves, so I'm really excited to see my weight go down, no matter how small
5/10 - 243.6 - small loss but better than a small gain. I'm happy as long as it heads in the right direction-small victories are still victories
5/11 - 243.2
5/12 - 242.6
5/13 - 241.2 - was convinced I was actually going to go up since I ate supper kinda late on the 12th, so was pleasantly surprised to see that I had my biggest loss of the week instead.
5/14 - 240 - Oh my gosh I'm so close to being out of the 240 range, and 20 lbs lost....I'm so very excited, especially seeing the small losses this week add up to big change. woohoo!

5/08 206.6 Good luck in this challenge, everyone! You can do it!
5/09 206.1
5/10 206.6 My usually dependable scale has gone wonkie today! When I first stepped on it, it gave me a reading about 5 pounds higher than yesterday…so I stepped on it again and it gave me a reading 3 pounds lighter than yesterday. I flipped it over to make sure nothing was sticking to it on the bottom…..but it was still giving me wonkie readings each time. So, I’m hoping it just needs fresh batteries. When I’m out and about today, I’ll pick some up. Hopefully I won’t be needing a new scale because I really like this one. Anyway, I’m putting today’s weight the same as my start weight for this challenge. Sleeping at my nurse daughter’s tonight to take care of her kids so no weighing in tomorrow AM. I’ll be back to weigh in on Saturday AM. Till then, be good everyone!
5/11 No scale this AM
5/12 205.2 Ok….scale with fresh batteries no longer acting wonkie…and I’m home. True test to my commitment to losing weight….we had pizza for dinner last night and I only ate 1 slice! Best part...I was satisfied with just 1 slice….didn’t even think about having another. Win!
5/13 205.0 Happy Mother’s Day!!

5/12 - 184.0....That's what I like to see

1988 high school graduation 185-190lbs
weight on 1/29/18 = 234.5
round 33 - start=215lbs end 202lbs
round 34 - start = 202 end 192.8lbs stomach empty and bone dry
round 35 - start = 192 end 196lbs
round 36 – 195lbs no change.
Round 37 194lbs start and finish but did see 192 for a couple days
Round 38 –196lbs starting – 194lbs end. I went into this round kinda heavy. Not really counting this as a loss
Round 39 goal – would like to see at least one morning weigh in less than 190# - goal obtained but maybe went a little to far. 187.8lbs ending weight.
Round 40 goal. – consistency
5/8 – 187lbs – this is the second day at this weight. Had fried chicken for lunch in hopes of upping my calories. Ended up fishing instead of having dinner.
5/9 188lbs – had Asian buffet to make up for missing dinner. Also had beer instead of whisky. I think this is a good number. Hope it’s the same tomorrow
5/10 – A very good life long friend (almost my twin) who has the same tendency’s to over indulge in all of life’s vices passed away last night of a heart attack. Only 50 years old. All I can think about is our habits of over eating, Drinking, and smoking.
5/11 – 189 – so much for consistency. 20.5% body fat. I would like to be in the teens.
5/12 – 188lbs - ate well but did have some undocumented nibbling on homemade chicken BBQ for wifes work party.
5/13 – 186lbs – I did not eat right yesterday.
5/14 – 188lbs – yesterday was a big food day. Stick to the plan till vacation.

Day/Weight/Comment:
5/08 199.4 morning workout done
5/09 199 going to start today with a long walk - I've noticed i feel less hungry on days when I get more exercise. Don't quite understand that. I don't eat back my exercise calories - but it's a win win so I'll take it !
5/10 199 Yesterday was a beautiful day, lots of walking in the sunshine - and a 3 hour choir practice.
5/11 198.8 if slow and steady truly wins the race - I'm in contention.
5/12 198.8 I'm happy with that. Didn't eat as well yesterday. One of my students brought me homemade cranberry and orange scones. Delicious! but, over my calorie and carb goals and now I am having carb cravings. Must stay focused today!
5/13 198.6 NSV Found that a small protein snack and browsing this thread is a great way to wait out the cravings!
5/14 199 A little post mothers day bump - not too bad

5/08 - 216, not the greatest start but the craziness is over for a few days. Just a few, fishing opener this coming weekend but ... I have refused to cook for everyone because it's also Mothers Day. Funny how that takes the back seat to a FISH.
5/09 - 215, rainy day. I don't mind. Everything will be greener tomorrow.
5/10 - 215
5/11 - 215, blah. Chilly today. Hope the work day goes fast. I may be in need of a few days off.
5/12 - 214, Friday free day is over. Driving into the cities today to take my mom to lunch. Thinking I'll stop at the garden store on my way back and maybe plant flowers tomorrow since I won't get to see my daughter and grand daughters. I wish they weren't 3 hours away! They'll be up at the lake with me Memorial weekend. Can't come soon enough!
5/13 - woops, missed it

5/08 181, had a low exercise/high calorie day yesterday and got it shows. Movement and water are my friends today.
5/09 181.7 Not going to freak out yet. Was within calorie goal but I think some of this is water retention from big exercise day.
5/10 179.9, 20K steps, stayed in calories, drank water minimum, limited calories after dinner
5/11 179, 12k steps, stayed in calorie goal including treats. Super pleased.
5/12 179.7, 12k steps, ate back some exercise calories. Lifted weights too.
5/13 179.7, slacker day. No change is actually a good thing considering I got about 5,000 steps and didn’t log
5/14 181.2 This is what happens when I don’t exercise or log for a weekend. Back to work.

5/11--176.6 yes!!!!!!!!!! I technically reached my goal for this round! Ate just over calorie goal yesterday.
5/12--177.2 I'm okay with this. Ate a little over my calories yesterday. Today is my college graduation!!! Going to Pilates this morning and then I just have to make sure not to overindulge at the party my boss is throwing for me.

Starting weight: 158.2
Goal #1: 150
Ultimate Goal: 135
5/08 – 158.2 I’ve been losing weight for a little bit now, but this is my first time participating in this challenge so I’m going to pretend like it’s day 1 of my weight loss journey. I’m looking forward to the accountability this will provide!
5/09 – 158.6 Yesterday was not a good day on the eating front! I don’t know why I bought that bag of Starbursts, but it was a definitely a mistake. Not doing that again. If I have to have Starbursts, I’ll stick with the smaller packs. It’s a brand new day though and I’m excited about getting back on track.
5/10 – 158.8 I got back on track, but the scale didn’t get the memo! No worries.
5/11 – 159.4 Disappointing after doing really well yesterday staying at my calorie goal. I might try lowering my carbs today to see if that gets things moving in the right direction.
5/12 – 159 Finally moving in the right direction!
5/13 – 158.2 Back to where I started this round! I’ve made pound cake, banana nut bread, and peanut butter cookies over the last couple of days and have managed not to eat over my calorie allotment, so I’m pretty pleased with myself.
5/14 – 157.6 Ate a few more calories than I meant to yesterday, but I was still within my calorie range for the day.

I started this challenge at round 27, at 227.8. I ended round 38 at 194. That is a 33 pound loss! I love this challenge! It goes against everything I USED to believe about weighing in daily, and has taught me to really listen to my body, not get discouraged by small set backs, and to celebrate the small victories!

5/08 / 259.0 / Here we go! I was so down about my last round that I decided to see how much I'd stalled out in my weight loss over the entirety of this attempt (from Jan. 16th). I thought, surely, with the time I spent out of state, my mother's death, and this past round I must be at least 5 pounds behind my "two pounds a week" goal. Shocker. No. I am still ahead, having lost more than two pounds a week on average. I know weight loss starts with water weight but it helped put the wind back in my sails.
5/09 / 258.0 / I have never really looked at my macros. I just count calories. By coincidence, my fat calories were high, protein was just below target and carbs were way low. You Keto people know where I’m going with this, right? I.Wasn’t.Hungry.

I've been stuck losing and gaining the same 3 pounds for 2 months now. I am really hoping to finally break into the 140's soon.
5/09 151.8
I did my long run last night, and my muscles are a little sore so I think the gain may be water retention. I ate well yesterday, so Im not worried.
5/10 151.0
I am pleased with today's weigh in I am so hoping to be out of the 150's soon. It seems to take so long anymore.
5/11 149.6
What?!? I hope this isn't a fluke lol. I hate when I get a low weight, then it goes right back up the next day. What causes that anyway? dehydration maybe? I drank plenty of water yesterday, and went on a long run. I usually go up the day after a long run.

5/11: 150.0 No morning workout. Almost. But decided there wasn’t enough time. Almost went on my lunch walk but had some “team building” discussion with a new coworker. There’ll be time after work today for movement. Mowed the yard. Food… Hmmm… It was okay. Taking a
5/12: 150ish. Walking with Leslie. Got into some things I shouldn’t.
5/13: 150ish. Weight training. Started NRFL4W Family get together. Kept the sugar and alcohol out. But I did eat some nuts, garlic bread, and some other breads. No happy face for the day.
5/14: 152. (Not fretting the 2#s considering the weekend’s partakings.) Weekend was okay considering the “holiday”. A bit sore today. Cardio this morning. Been VERY hungry.

5/08 - 205.2 - Ah yes, the Tuesday morning drop. Was good on water yesterday. Calories were set to be on target but I could not resist the bag of oreos. I had 2, then wanted to eat more, so I had 2 more. Logged it and moved on. I was exhausted from a super busy weekend and crashed early. I was a little disheartened this morning at the thought of eating the same lunch yet again. So, I'll be brainstorming some new lunch and snack ideas so I don't stumble back to fast foods. Dinners have not changed too much other than subbing out refined carbs for better grain choices; low carb multi grain tortillas, quinoa, etc. Tonight I'll make a big batch of thai quinoa salad and DH will grill a few pounds of chicken and sausage so we have a few days lunches as well. Scales may not move tomorrow but I suspect if I'm good on hydration there should be a downward trend toward the end of the week. Remember, slow steady loss is good! Don't get ahead of yourself, just one day at a time. Possible mini vaca to visit dad in FL with DH in June, so that is more motivation to stick to my June goal.
5/09 - 204.4 - I was SO dehydrated this morning and I'm not sure what happened - I was good on water throughout the day and ate well. But alas, I woke up with a headache, yellower than normal 1st morning pee, and was not expecting that number. I already feel better after a few glasses of water. Strange. Anyway - Florida visit is a definite now, so I need a bathing suit. And its just a little bit more incentive to stick to the plan. Thai quinoa salad last night was amazing and I'm looking forward to lunch today! I'm looking forward to my future in general too - and that is a great feeling!
5/10 - 204.4 - Not dehydrated this morning and the number stuck around, so thats cool! Moving my office today/tomorrow/ and possibly coming in Saturday so I should have an active few days ahead of me. Parents are also finally closing on the new house (yay!) so I'm sure we will be assisting in some moving over the next few weeks. Planned a lighter lunch today - dinner for mothers day with mom and meme tonight and not sure what/where we are eating so planning for some wiggle room. Need a few things at the grocery store this evening to help keep on track. Weather is beautiful. My car was coated in pollen this morning so need to be mindful of allergies, be proactive with medicine and get some more honey at Sholan. And as always, WATER WATER WATER! I'm happy to see my goal weight for this round already. But, given past trends I expect to go up again over the weekend before dropping mid next week. This round ends on a wednesday and thats usually my lowest weigh in day, so we will see!
5/11 205.2 - Mothers day dinner last night - skipped the pasta and had shrimp crostini and ceaser salad. So salty but a win nonetheless because it wasnt a pound of pasta! Moving offices at work - so much more physical activity than usual and much less water than usual. Another super active day with not enough water followed by more celebrations. Stayed in the green for cals. I actually enjoy seeing the same number two days in a row sometimes. Parents finally moved into new house so we were up there checking out the new digs til late. Ordered takeout for dinner - modified my usual turkey burger with fries to turkey burger with coleslaw and it fit! (with my exercise cals)
5/12 205.2 - At work again moving final things, got my smoothie and water ready to go. Happy weekend!!! Came home around noon time and crashed. Went to grocery store in afternoon for a few things. Picked up some thin n trim buffalo chicken to try something different and its great! homemade sausage pepper onion and potatoes for dinner and ate some cupcakes that I made for mothers day that put me over cals but at maintenance around 2000 cals.
5/13 205.2 - Again! Not even upset to see the same number 3 days in a row. I've been eating at maintenance this weekend and making better choices while still enjoying the things I love. Today was lobster mac and cheese because we had to make a trip to the airport so we stopped at our favorite seaport restaurant...then back home to pick up the dog, and more driving around to see MIL. Back home and recieved a phone call that friends were in the area so we met up for an impromptu dinner date. Cesar salad and ahi tuna. YUMMY. Dinner was loooong and they comped us dessert, but I only had half!
5/14 206.8 - Ah yes, there it is. Again, not upset - to be expected. It was a "bad" weekend - typically I'd unravel at my first off the rails encounter. But I'm taking this one in stride. My weight stayed the same Friday-Sunday, but I saw a slight increase today. Too be expected after eating at maintenance all weekend. I still made better choices than I would have previously - I indulged a bit but not every time. Reminding myself that "Just cause your popped one tire does not mean go slash the other three." Don't remember where I heard that but its so relevant for me! And actually it was a GOOD weekend! Family time - a rest day - and an unexpected visit from some friends. Back in the saddle today. Managed to meal prep eggs, quinoa and bean salad, chicken and steak last night and I'm still hopeful I can reach my goal in the next 3 days.

Yay another person who doesn't enjoy workouts! I'd rather sit on my behind and scroll through people's posts. LOL4 -
I'm considering this round a pivot point since it ends on our move-into-new-house day. I've been lax in my calorie limits, and that's going to stop. I've reset my allowance and am dropping most bread from my diet. I'm also finally getting back to regular walks and weight training. I'm not keen on weight goals since I can't control the scale, but I'm determined to stick to my eating and exercise goals now and will hope to drop a pound per round (3/month) with an eye to hitting my UGW by early December.
Goals:

Day/Weight/Calories Day Before (aiming for 1430 starting 5-8)/Comment
5/8 - 150.8 - 1647 (10-day ave 1791)
First day, new round, revised approach. I'm up a little, no surprise, but I've finally shaken off this horrible cold and most of the cough, so I feel more like walking/exercising. Yay! Happy to see you all!
5/9 - 150.6 - 1256 (10-day ave 1732)
Good day yesterday! I cut my calories without feeling deprived, went for two lovely walks, and started packing. Feeling very positive - and the sunny morning doesn't hurt!
5/10 - 150.6 - 1315 (10-day ave 1653)
A little disappointed not to see a drop but, in fairness, it's only been 2 days since I cut back after a week + of higher calories and my 10-day average is still higher than it should be, so the drop will come. I feel much more in control.
5/11- 150.5 - 1505 (10-day ave 1605)
We were invited to brunch yesterday and I had no idea the strata she served was VERY high in calories - over 900/serving :-( until she sent me the recipe later. Yike! So I went a little over my goal yesterday, although not too bad - 155. Back on track today, although we'll be going out for dinner as our house closing is at 4 o'clock. But I'll watch it!
5/12 - 150 - 1811 (10-day ave 1607)
A bit of a slip yesterday -- Fazolli's for dinner, and yes, I had the breadsticks. So higher calories and a LOT more salt than usual. But we closed on our house - yay! Back on the wagon.
5/13 - 150.2 - 1435 (10-day ave 1517)
Doing better hitting food goals, and my 10-day averages are slowly approaching my daily goal. Weight will follow. I'd be giddy to hit my R39 end weight by the end of this round, but whatever happens, happens.
5/14 - 150 - 1472 (10-day ave 1536)
This all seems completely logical to me, and I'll be interested to see what happens when my 10-day averages are finally more in line with my daily goal. Every day I knock off another higher calorie day when I average - 3 more to go. I've become a data nerd.
