I wanted to respond to this and say that I didn’t start dating until I was 31. This was for a variety of reasons where weight and self esteem were certainly involved but also because I didn’t feel the need for a long time, instead finding fulfilment in other parts of life. I met my partner within 6 months and we have now lived together for over a year. So don’t feel 31 is to late to start if you do want to date 🙂

I want my jawline to be well defined, not jowly.
Looked at my upper arms and saw those big, droopy looking grandma arms.
The other day, my husband said this is as good as it gets. I'm working to have a better future.10 -
My petty reason for losing weight is to uncover a nice butt I believe is hidden under there. 🤷🏾♀️8

I want to prove I can lose the weight without surgery or without being ridiculous or extreme or starving myself, or all that other silly stuff.
And that I was right, my breasts are not small, and they only look average next to my belly and hips. So I'll lose another 80 pounds and we'll see if they'll do the surgery I want then.8 -
I'm sick of my pants wearing only in the inner thighs. 95% of the pants are still in great condition it's just that pesky area with the thigh chub rub. (and I know it's not a manner of the pants not fitting correctly because my inner thighs rub when I'm naked).6

My petty reason is I’ve put on weight all year and friends have noticed it at every gathering and commented. I have another gathering at the end of October and I’ve already lost 12 lbs out of my 30 lb target so I want to look amazing for that.7

I want to look beautiful7

I don't want to wear clothes with an 'X' next to the size....XL, 1X, 2X...where will it end? I was very slim as a young person and I am tired of being the fat one at every gathering. I just want to walk into a store and go to the normal size section and buy some clothes that fit and look good. Very shallow, but I don't care.10

Where will it end? Keep in mind that XS is a size, too! I know nothing about you, so maybe your overall body configuration wouldn't ever go there. Back when I was class 1 obese, and in the other X sizes, I never thought I'd buy an XS as an adult . . . but now I have. Fits, too.6 -
I'm a swinger.2

Because my half sleeve will look better with a little bit more muscle2

As much as I'm more in it for my health... if I ever see my ex-husband again, who got frustrated when my health went downhill and started cheating on me, it would be nice to look hot. And thinner than his current wife lol.10

Be hotter and more attractive than my bullies, make former crushes regret turning me down7
-
To make the haters hate more. 😘7

My petty reason is to look good in clothes and naked and to also impress a guy.4
-
To look good, feel better, be confident.2

My petty reason is wanting to look fit at the ladies weekend trip I'm going on in November. They are college friends that I haven't seen since before I had my kids and I don't want to be the friend who let themself go.7

I want to live to be 99, like my mother did!7
-
Well, nothing like missing the point. I also want to look like my high school grad photo.5

Now 16.4 lbs down and three weeks to go to my next dinner party. I can already see a difference in my mid section area and my clothes are fitting better! Would love to hit 20 lbs lost by them!!!6 -
I want to be able to shave my legs in 2 minutes flat… I miss being able to do that…
Of course, then I’ll have trouble shaving my armpits, but I can cope with that!3 -
I can do petty.
I want to avenge myself for the weight I gained by eating more to make other people feel less insecure.
I want the "you've lost weight!" comments.
I want dresses to hang on me better.
I want better dating options.
I want people to offer to do stuff I don't actually wanna do because I'm just oh-so delicate, lmao.5 -
For my jeans to be less tight. 🤪3
-
Primarily I wanna look and feel good naked, but I also clothed! 😆 I wanna be able to wear whatever I want without worrying I look fat in it or that I cant pull it off because I'm too fat. 🙄3
-
being a little heavier in the midsection, sometimes my jacket rubs up against the gas tank
i'm a detailer and the bike is coated in ceramic...the little bit of scuffs and marring drive me nuts and I know when I'm a bit thinner, a smaller belly will resolve the issue

To be more physically active, and look better with and without clothes on.2
-
My petty reason is that my Dr. hasn't said anything about my 45 pound weight loss. She WILL say something! I will lose until she does.6
-
My petty reason is I'm the oldest of 5 siblings and I want to be the fittest one 😜4

My son just graduated from high school, and in the fall will enlist in the Army. When I attend his graduation from boot camp, I don't want to be the out-of-shape father living vicariously through his son; I want to look like I had just graduated, as well.
Son's graduation came and went, and we were all there to support him. Afterwards, my son's drill sergeant asked him who the guy with the biceps was, lol. So, mission accomplished!
But now I have a standard to maintain or even improve upon, so the work continues. After all, I still have two daughters living at home, and I need to be able to impress upon their future dates the need to behave, without saying a word, lol.8 -
