You Intimidate Me

@caco_ethes you intimidated me with your wit and sense of humor.
@leut_underpants intimidated me with his harsh and direct sense of humor.
Same with 2 more but I can't remember their usernames to tag them. Cee? Danny something?
Basically really funny, witty, direct and sometimes harsh people.
I've always had an appreciation and fear of people like that. It's healthy, I checked.
@cee134 and @denny_mac
One time I laughed so hard at Cee that I injured myself in a lawn chair. He gave me the giggles like no one else. Except @MeeseeksAndDestroy3 -
I don't always feel like chiming in on something, but not because I feel intimidated. Very little intimidates me. Sometimes I think I'm clever. Sometimes I feel like I can contribute. Most of the time I just stay on the periphery and watch.

Most of you did when I started to visit the forum and some still do. I remember recently accepting a friend invitation I would have extended myself before if it wasn't for feeling a bit.. so-and-so. Of course I realize it's all in my chicken mind. You're all hella nice, even though sometimes I really get lost in what's discussed.2

I've been here a long time. I used to be intimidated by lots of people when I started...I can't really remember the user names, it's been too long.
For the most part, you hang out for awhile and figure out that everyone is pretty cool.0 -
Very intimidated at first. Starting to settle in bit, I think 🤔1

I am just intimidated by his arm.2 -
Not sure if intimidation is the right way to describe it, but @leut_underpants @kinetixtrainer2 @Clever_User_Name seem to have it all figured out...5

I'm not going to tag anyone because I'm intimidated.2

When threads devolve into what I assume are inside jokes and/or flirtation among the same circle of folks, I leave because it's not interesting to me but I certainly don't feel intimidated by anyone.

I figure the people with the in-jokes know each other in real life or something.0 -
Lol this is dumb11

I have actually friended some of those that use to intimidate me and realized they are cool as heck!
@leut_underpants definitely does not intimidate me anymore...even if my boobs have his name on them, but he still won't accept my friend request.
another I agree with0 -

Honestly when I came here I was in a weird place in my life and there were all these in jokes and everyone seemed pretty comfy. It was very intimidating. Then someone was like “love your selfies” so I just kept on keeping on I dunno. The group sucks you in4

Like many others, I was and still am intimidated by many posters. Occasionally I interject and reply. Mainly I stay on the chit-chat and fun threads - I mean, how can you mess up posting on the "Would you kiss the person above..." thread? And like the others, it is not you all, it is me. My self confidence level has always been low - I think it stems from several things
1) Growing up short - I am 5'2 now. Imagine being the shortest person in every class - even shorter than some of the girls, and getting picked on all the time. Being shoved into lockers is a real thing, my friends.
2) Lack of friends - I was the nerd in school. People wanted to cheat off me. I didn't let them. I never told on them, but teachers always found out. So, growing up, I had one real friend that stopped being my friend when I was a Junior. Haven't talked to him since.
3) My constant failings in life - my always feeling like I am not providing enough for my family; like I am always letting people down.
Wow - this totally took a turn, didn't it. I feel like deleting this and pretending like I never typed it. But, I came this far, and might as well post it. But I am intimidated and scared of people's responses....10 -
If you let people intimidate you in a web forum then I am concerned with how poorly you would handle a physical confrontation.
Just sayin'

that depends.....
I've seen some pretty bad dudes in my life, a lil' social rejection would have been an easy tradeoff.0 -

Words, attitudes and social interactions are infinitely more complicated to navigate successfully than some meathead threatening to kick my *kitten*.1 -

I get out of court and get tons of notifications to this.caco_ethes wrote: »Who here is or was intimidated by @kinetixtrainer2 ?

I was intimidated by his steely gaze, yes. Also aroused and intimidated by my arousal. I buried it deep inside my psyche and prayed it would go away so I would return to my senses and keep on with the role of blithely impenetrable battle ax.
Haha I know you’re being funny but thank you.1 -
