It's spelled "Big Phama" and I actually have worked in the industry.
......and yes, they make a lot of money.
They also invest a lot into research and help millions of people lead longer and more productive lives.
Ha, okay.... alright; like I said....

I wish I could drink coffee. It seems like a good thing for so many people. Would probably go good with those pecan rolls.

Coffee is my only true vice ( and when it comes to vices, it's pretty benign by comparison).
I didn't even have my first cup until I was 30 years old.
Now, mornings don't start without it.

Even the smell of it nauseates me, so I'm doubtful that I'll ever be a coffee drinker. Consumption in even small amounts leaves me feeling ill for several hours. It's really weird.0 -

Yep, it's obviously not for you.
I feel the same way about wine.
(although admitting my aversion to wine here might create an enemy or two; sorry guys.... )0 -

I could be wrong, but I figured he was using Farma to refer to those fruit and vegetable farmers, not pharmaceutical companies.WeAreTheWeirdo wrote: »It cracks me up this may have been moved here because chit chatters are perhaps high-fructose syrup-drugged debauchery-filled wastlings-in-denial. Next should be "eat less food".
Oh yes. That could go on for 28 riveting pages of academic condescension and comparisons between rodent and human study citations. And maybe they'll even say N = 1 because that's the ballz. And of course they'll insert the phrase high nutrient density into the discussion. Because all normal people talk like that in day to day conversation. I can't wait.
And I thought we were getting along fabulously these last few weeks.
You're Blaire and I'm Natalie on The Facts Of Life. But even when you're being a goody twoshoes in class, we'll still smoke cigarettes in the girls' room together.

make damn sure that you have enabled your Safe Search settings.3 -

Here I was thinking Laverne and Shirley or Lucy and Ethel.2 -
I would concede that honey is as dangerous to us as HFCS. I do consume both, in modest amounts.
I am living in the middle of big farming country. Yes, it's a business. Around here it's mostly canola, barley (for your beer), and beef. Yes, the farmers are in it to make money. Funny thing is, it's not the rich farmers that take shortcuts. Everyone benefits from inexpensive, expertly grown foods.1 -
