He didn't get my sense of humor and kept asking for explanations/thought I was mad and kept apologizing.
Drives me crazy. I'm kidding or trying to keep things fun at least 85% of the time. Stop being a wuss.2 -

Bad grammar... as in he consistently texted crap like "Your pretty" or "I'm working all day to".
Typos are understandable but don't do that to a professional writer.1 -
She had thicker Armpit hair then I did!0

Really.....I am a professional in the fitness industry. I doubt I could be so obtuse as to dump somebody because they may not be as in tuned into being fit as my job requires me to be.....5 -
No, being obtuse would be losing interest in someone due to a misplaced comma.
I'm sure you're more attracted to people who put some type of effort into their health and appearance. That's the same for me on the grammar front. No need to be rude about a personal opinion.11 -

I don't think having an opinion different than yours is rude. I also think you cannot be sure of who and what attracts me to someone.10 -
Lol Far be it for me to assume anything about you, including the fact that the word obtuse was used above to describe my personal opinion. My bad.7

I have a question: So, let's say you and I (or anyone) were to start chatting, and I establish right off the bat that I have at least a reasonably firm command of the English language (i.e. I know all the right versions of your, you're, youre, and Yor, plus other subtleties like oxford commas and semi-colons). Then, after a time, I (or anyone) gets tired of always going back to correct all those things every time (especially commas which are a pain to correct). And errors start to make it through on a fairly regular basis.
Do you give said person a pass, since you know they aren't illiterate, or do you expect the same meticulous attention to be maintained forever?.1 -
My best friend of 17 years is one of the most intelligent women I've ever known. She uses talk-to-text and this recent example of her morning text isn't far from the norm:
"Son of a turd doodle Diggity personal property doodle... Never mind. That's not at all what I said into the phone just now."
If I can laugh hysterically over that until my shirt is soaked from tears, evolved texting with others should likely go over my head once I know time's worth sharing and the relationship's worth exploring further on both ends of the conversation.
Having meticulous grammar would drive me crazy just as easily. My examples were regarding basic, decent grammar in ongoing written communication. I don't give a rat's *kitten* if someone misses the Oxford comma on a regular basis, omits semi-colons, or engages in run-on sentences. I'm not a *kitten* or a snob. I just know what I prefer, and I'm too old to apologize for that.5 -
"Son of a turd doodle Diggity personal property doodle"
I'm going to use this in the future. Not sure when.... but I'm really excited about it.5 -
When they start sending out feelers about your finances....God I hate that sinking feeling when you realize someone is corrupting their personal relationship decision make process with money...1

He licked my neck when he hugged me before I left the coffee shop. No kiss or even cheek kiss, straight to discreetly tasting my neck.2
