Does This Uterus Make My Stomach Look Fat?

BMI of 24 is the high side of fit. BMI of 27 is the high side of normal.Safari_Gal wrote: »
I think the earlier poster was confusing BMI with body fat %
Athletes 14–20%
Fitness 21–24%
Average 25–31%
Obese 32%+
Because there is no "fit" in the BMI scale, that is in the BF% scale.
24% is the high end of fitness, but 27% is dead center for average, not at the high end.
To the Original post the first poster was replying to, 24.2 BMI is on the higher end of normal BMI range.8 -

(not sure why these are sideways... can't seem to fix them)
Age: 29
BMI or Height/Weight/Bone Structure: BMI - 20.4; 5'6"/126.4 lbs/medium-large frame
BF%: Not sure
Number of Pregnancies: 0
Medical Conditions affecting appearance: None
Primary form of exercise: Calisthenics, walking, and HIIT
Number of years doing aforementioned exercise: I have exercised on and off since I was a teenager so about 15 years and was very athletic for most of my life. I gained and lost over 100 lbs twice (once in my second year of college and another about 2 years ago). My abdomen, arms, and thighs were affected, layered slightly with squishy fat. As time passes and with continued exercise, fortunately the skin is starting to tighten up as I lose fat. I used to lift heavy, but lately (the past year and a half) I've been sticking to body weight training, HIIT, and lots of walking.17 -
This was when I lost weight before I regained again. You can see I still had a slight roll around the middle even when I stood up but I learned to not worry about it.
Age: 31
BMI or Height/Weight/Bone Structure: BMI - 22.7; 5'7"/145 lbs/size 2-4 (curvy fit)
BF%: Unknown
Number of Pregnancies: 0
Medical Conditions affecting appearance: Scoliosis, Hypothyroidism
Primary form of exercise: Walking, strength training (but not compound)
Number of years doing aforementioned exercise: 1-2 while I was losing weight6 -

BF%: ? Guessing 18-20%
Number of Pregnancies: 2
Medical Conditions affecting appearance: Retroverted Uterus - don't know if that affects appearance or not
Primary form of exercise: Progressive Resistance Training - Free weights and gymnastics based body weight
You look awesome💪7 -
I was feeling leaner this morning and wanted to post a few pictures in comparison to those I posted last night. The first two are right before I worked out this morning with yoga pants on, the second 2 are immediately after I woke up this morning. Sorry again for the sideways images...11 -
Thank you @VegjoyP.
Thanks for posting that second set of photos @umbramirror. They are a lot clearer. I was really confused with the first set because your tattoo looked like a scar, but then you said you hadn't had any pregnancies or skin removal surgery. And I didn't want to ask. Great job losing that much weight.5 -
Ha! No problem @mom23mangos. I didn't realize that, but now that I'm looking at it in the picture it does look like a scar. Oops. 😣 Awful tattoos. 😅 Anywho, thanks!4

This thread makes me realize I'll never be perfect so it's okay to enjoy being "good enough", Being a bmi of 23-24 isn't fat and having a B stomach isn't the end of the world.18

I was thinking of this thread this morning. My top two abs are starting to be visible on occasion, they feel great. But lower? Well I had 3 kids... Makes me look down at my stomach and think of the good things.17

I saw a concert by a very lovely lady from Ghana on Saturday. Check out Wiyaala on Youtube. She's quite muscular (<3) and has a lovely belly bump. We need more women like her as role models and not those superlean fitness models that only look good for a poster session.6

So I've been trying to lose an additional ten pounds to get rid of this lower belly fat... and I've been so discouraged.
Does this look like belly fat, or uterus?
Crossing my fingers you all say belly fat because I want it to be able to be gone..
Right is sucked in, left is relaxed

The flowers are right on it, but from the back position, who is going to say anterior pelvic tilt and re-comp should probably be considered ahead of straight weight loss?11
-
I think that's a beautiful uterus-related belly swell (read the "Song of Solomon" in the bible again!), plus a bit of posture issue (the ubiquitous modern booty emphasis, a.k.a. anterior pelvic tilt).10

I have slight scoliosis so that may be why? I didn't wanna post a picture in my undies, but here's another one of how I usually stand9 -
5’5, 133-135 depending - posture is all!

There's really no telling but TEN POUNDS on you would be rough and no guarantee it would go off where you want it. I have belly fat as you see and I've been 2-3 pounds lower but it doesn't come off there or my legs, I just see my ribs in front on my chest more and it makes my arms look longer because it's just all on top.7 -
I will never have a flat tummy for a few reasons:
Genetics: even as a child and skinny teen I’ve had a rounded tummy.
Discipline: I’m not willing to diet down to lower fat percentage levels and put in the hard work and dedication it takes to achieve a flat tummy, it’s just not one of my priorities but I admire those that can achieve this!
My uterus: I have multiple fibroids. I’ve had them treated this past February with Uterine Artery Embolisation (they will only shrink to about half their size and not grow anymore but short of surgery they aren’t going anywhere)
3 pictures from yesterday that give 3 different tummy looks...
Posed:
Angled:
Relaxed:
The last pic really shows my rolls/lower tummy bulging, it’s the first place I gain weight and the last to go when losing. I lost 43 lbs and been in maintenance for almost 6 years now. I allow 3-5 lbs of range but if I do gain any weight it shows up in the spare tire right away and I know I have to watch my portion sizes or start logging again for a few weeks to get back to my ideal weight. Still, I feel confident enough to wear my bikinis because I’ve worked very hard to achieve this body and it’s become stronger and healthier since I started really taking care of it. I’ll be 45 in a couple of months and I’m proud to show it off!48 -

BUMP!
My stomach/uterus looks bigger than most of the pictures I’ve seen here. I look like I’m 5 months pregnant. It’s the only big thing on me.
Reference: 9 children (8 pregnancies; I have twins).
Self-diagnosed: Diastasis Recti
BMI: 24.2
Weight: 141 lbs
Height: 5’4”14 -

THIS all day long and twice on Sunday! I have had five babies and while I want to be as healthy as I can be, I am never going to get all the way flat and would have to be at an unhealthy body fat percentage to get there. And I am never completely giving up pasta and fried chicken so......
Healthy is good but life is too short to chase photoshopped unreality from some magazine or a filtered Instagram.17 -
