1. To be an inspiration to my 22 year old Autistic son who started his weight loss journey on
May 1, 2018 weighing 308.4. His current weight is 276.8 .
2. Weight Goal this round: 177.0 (2.0 lb. loss)
3. No Bingeing (new attitude on food outside of my home and socially)
4. 20-50 Net Carbs Daily. 1277 Calories Daily.
5. 10,000 steps per day. Mixed modes of exercise.
6. Lots of water, green tea daily, apple cider vinegar before carby meals.
7. Check my blood sugar daily for improvements.

9/15 – 180.0 Hello everyone! As I get nearer to my weight loss goals I am transitioning this round to 20-50 net carbs per day with the intent of staying in a fat burning mode. I am keeping my calorie goal the same which is 1277. My original goals when I started my journey in January 2018 was to lose 8-10 pounds per month . My newest goals are to lose 1.5 pounds per week, 6 pounds per month. I am carrying a bit of water weight from a travel day earlier this week. However, at my general weight I am 30 pounds from my complete goal weight with approx 60 pounds lost. My ticker will reflect this when I shed the water back off. Yesterday I stayed within calorie goal but went quite a bit over on my carb goal. As my business slows down I find I am walking a lot less and will have to build in more planned exercise and intentional walking. In the end, my hope is to reach 145 pounds by Valentine’s Day. I am building in an 8 pound cushion as I expect to gain a bit of water weight when transitioning to higher carbs and calories. My final goal would be to weigh about 153. I then intend to keep my carbs and calories in a maintenance level to help keep my T2D in control or in remission. I would love to hear everyone’s exact plan for their weight loss and fitness goals as we go along. I know a lot of great ideas may come of these readings. Good luck everyone on this round!

9/21 - 176.4 All I can say is wow. Just 3 years ago I weighed 253. I worked hard to lose 18 pounds which I kept off, but the health and fitness came to a complete stop when I began caring for my terminally ill husband. Dialysis every other day (nearly 100 miles away each way) and so many specialists with heart lungs etc. (all over 100 miles away each way also) kept me away from my home, my children, my home business and my own goals. But I would not change a thing. It was such an honor and a privilege to be able to be the one to help him through this to “the other side”. After 2 years of legal stuff, getting my business back on track, comforting my children & grandchildren and getting the dynamics of the family back in order, I decided to get back on the health and weight loss journey and start working toward my original goals. My starting weight this time was 235 in January of this year. The road is not always easy, and the diet I chose was something I “bumped into” on the internet when I looked up modern low carbs diets out there. I have had a lot to learn about the diet and about fitness in the modern age. What I’ve learned is that even with all my slip-ups and personal disappointments, this can be done. Thanks again for all the support. My children are grown now, out on their own except for my disabled son. Thanks to all of you for giving me the support that my dear Leonard would have given had he been here. I want everyone to know that I am not sorry I quit smoking even though it led to all this weight gain (which brought on many health problems like diabetes, thyroid and even contributed to my breast cancer). One battle at a time. I beat the cigarettes a decade ago, I beat the cancer 5 years ago, I had a couple of last years with my devoted husband. Now I am beating down this weight, diabetes and thyroid one…pound….at….a…..time. My weight was down again today. It makes me feel so hopeful that I can get back to being “Me” “Me was a nice lady, a good mother, a good wife, a hard worker and a person who took good care of herself and cared about good diet and fitness in her life. I miss her. So I’m on my way to see her now. When I embrace her completely, I will never let her go again.

9/17 Monday- 192.3 (no change) I need to reign in my weekends. I am up 0.3 since Friday which isn't terrible but I need to do better. Time to kick it in high gear. I am going to Hawaii in 18 days. If I can get solidly below 190, I will be HAPPY. But I need to double up my efforts!
9/18 Tuesday- 190.4 (-1.9) This number has got to be wrong. The batteries on my scale were running low so I changed them last night and now my weight is much lower. I did weigh like 5 times this morning but I still do not believe it. Will see what tomorrow holds. I did have a NSV today though. I tried on pants that I stopped wearing because they were too tight and they fit this morning! So I can see the progress being made
9/19 Wednesday- 189.7 (-0.7) Well OK then, the number is still down below where I expect. I am still not believing it though. Yesterday was good with calories but I need to do a better job on my protein intake.
9/20 Thursday- 189.3 (-0.4) I am starting to accept this weight as correct, watch tomorrow it will jump back to 192. Stayed on track yesterday and so far, so good today. I feel like I may have added to much salt to my eggs this morning though. So I need to up the water intake. Tonight, I plan to hit the gym while my daughter is in dance class.
9/21 Friday- 191.0 (+1.7) I knew it was too good to be true. Still down from CSW so I will not be too deterred.

9/20: 252 - I was surprised to see that number today. I ate pizza but worked out quite a bit to fit it in my calories. Unfortunately, I smashed my foot into the couch and either sprained or broke my little toe so I have to take it easy for a while.
9/21: 251.4 - My foot doesn't hurt as much today. Had spaghetti last night and it was delicious!

9/15 157.5 Today is my 60th day on MFP. I am so happy that I took this step to a healthier me, and haven't given up even though I am still fairly new. I now weigh less than my husband. (He is only a couple of inches taller than me). I know weight is only a number, and us women have the "goodies" men don't lol but it was a constant bother to me. I'm not even sure why because he's not a big guy at all. He's always loved me the way I am, but I never dared tell him my weight before. Anyways, hope its a wonderful round for you all ❤
9/16 157.5 I need to get my sweet tooth back under control. Made cookies and told myself I was just gonna have 1. That did not happen so I just used cookies as my dinner lol.
9/17 157 the scale was bouncing between 155 and 157, I'll go with 157 for now because I didn't make the best food choices yesterday. Happy to see a loss though! Goal for today is to resist mall sweets and foods, my sis in law and I are having a girls day. I know we will be going out for lunch too.
9/18 157 happy to see this number again. Still not making the best food choices but staying in calorie range. Today already started off bad, my Grandma bought me Mcdonalds.
9/19 156.5 I didn't let my breakfast ruin my whole day yesterday. Had a smoothie for dinner. 🙂 Thinking I may change my ultimate goal to 130-135 instead of 140. Maybe. Going to see how the next couple rounds go.
9/20 157 I expected to see a little gain as my carbs and sugar were high yesterday.
9/21 156.5 Yesterday was a tough day again because I craved sugar all day. Usually fruit helps but didn't yesterday. Seems like this is happening a lot this round. It's going to get better though I'm not going to allow myself to fall back into old habits. Just trying to keep myself busy. I have added diet drinks in every so often, where as I was only drinking coffee and water. I almost wonder if this is what's causing it.

@orngnerdz don't give up!!! Do what's best for you but maybe you can still post on here every day but save your weigh ins for once or twice a week, as an alternative but don't throw in the towel just yet. I know it is super frustrating but this week hasn't been as bad as you are telling yourself, especially with a pizza and Chinese night back to back. After eating high sodium foods the weight can take a hit but give it two solid days to take it off. It won't happen all at once but it will come off. It happens to all of us, I literally was eating amazingly well and exercising hard every day but I ended up staying at the same weight for 6 days..then whoooosoosh I big continual drop. If I had thrown in the towel I would have not only continued gaining but wouldn't have seen another 10 pound drop. This is a slow process and it won't come off over night but that is why patience and being kinder to yourself is absolutely necessary and every day you don't stick with the process will be another day of continual gaining. You got This! Your stronger then That! I guarantee that if you start believing it you will be amazed with what you are capable of.5 -

9/18 -279lbs (+9 lbs) Returned from four days camping so no scale to weigh and of course went off track and gained on carb overload. Not too concerned as I know 90% of this is water weight gain and I still expect to reach my goal this round of 2 lbs loss. Fasting today.
9/19 -277lbs (-2 lbs) Dropping again. A little slow first day but not unexpected. I didn't drink enough fluid to cleanse things out but today I will do better. Hope to see a larger fluid drop tomorrow but still have time to make my challenge goal. Just have to stay on track and not take any breaks from the routine. I have a hard time when it comes to taking a “day off” and then getting back on. It seems to wind up being 2,3,4 or more “days off” and thats not good. Clothes have gotten loose and took in another notch in the belt. That's ALWAYS a good incentive to stay with it.l
9/20 -274lbs (-3 lbs) Another good move down. Had too many peanuts last night. Still having trouble with the night time snacking. I do well all day and then the evening comes along and the snack monster strikes with a vengance. He is so difficult to overcome. At least I don't give him the satisfaction of pure sugar junk food. Its a beginning.
9/21 -272 (-2 lbs) Still 1 pound up from last challenge goal due to not sticking to the plan while camping last week. Still I'm hoping for another 3 lbs down to get to this challenge goal. Three days to go and hopefull.

9/20- 188.3- woohoo! I didn't do as well yesterday as I wanted to but today went really well so hopefully the scale delivers
9/21-187.9- The scale kept showing me different numbers. I usually weigh myself twice to account for random error. But the two numbers were off (187.9 then 187.1) and so I decided to do it again somewhere else and got no straight answer (188.1, 187.5). Just went with the first number I originally got. Seemed most likely to happen. At least they were all lower than yesterday's number

9/17- 145. Up 2 from the end of the last round. The weekend was active... And I ate a lot. Goal for this week: Maintain good habits when the weekend rolls around.
9/18 - 145. I am happy with how I ate yesterday. Regardless of the number on the scale this morning, yesterday was a success.
9/19 - 142.5 - Ha, that's one of the biggest drops I've ever seen in a day. Hoping it's real! Given where I was at the end of round 52 and then my weight on Monday and Tuesday, it's going to take a few more days to understand the trend. In the meantime, it was really nice to see the line on the scale edging down this morning.
9/20 - 142.5 - Happy to see the number stick today. I fit a serving of caramel cookie crunch gelato (yum! totally worth it) and a pumpkin spice cookie (meh, not worth it) into my calories yesterday.
9/21 - 141. Wow, so many inspiring posts in front of mine today. I love how the inspiration comes in the form of everyone's efforts and the journeys, not just from numbers on your scales. The people in this challenge are the best!
