Keytone Karen: So sorry to hear about Farley. It breaks our hearts each time we have to lose one of our beloved pets.3

Grandson only got to play about 5 minutes in the entire lacrosse game today. He is 8 and playing on a team for 9/10/11 yr olds. He is about the same size as most of them but it is disappointing that the coaches probably want the older kids to play the most.2

Karen, I'm so sorry! So hard to lose the little ones, and awfully glad you had more time with him.
Resting my knee while son and husband toodled off for the few things we couldn't quite fit anywhere. Would have probably been able to, but I couldn't resist stopping at a garage sale, and picked up a quilt rack of the design I've been looking for and an old treadle sewing table - original iron, still working wheel and treadle, and the old, solid walnut drawers, converted to hold a new machine. Both for $25, couldn't resist!
Everything got here but the dresser and the TV and a couple bins, so they were able to park the trailer and just go back down in the pickup. Nothing left but vacuuming and mopping the rental house, which I will do on Monday. The living room looks beautiful (to me), although a lot smaller, now that it's got two couches and two recliners in it, as well as two bookcases and a hutch! We collapsed two small living rooms from the rent house into one large one, and it's a little crowded. Also want to paint the bookcases the same oak color as the hutch, but that can wait a bit. Wires are still all wonky, and it's a bit of a mess, but here is home for me...
The washer and dryer are going (first things first), and you can't even hear them from the living room, which makes me VERY happy--something about the way the rent house was built, sound carried from one end to the other. Here, I can hear them from my office, just one room away, but that's OK, I actually like the domestic sounds when I'm not trying to listen to something else, like the television. The rest of the house is too much of a mess to even take a picture of yet.
Now to go sit in the recliner and get the knee UP and iced. It's protesting mightily, and tomorrow will be just getting things put wherever we can find a place for them. No more moving from one house to another. Hopefully ever.
Love y'all!

Karen so sad about your Farley but glad you were there with him so he wasn’t scared.
I am about half way through The Great Alone and hate to put it down. Glad you are getting it Lanette.
Lisa- have I ever told you that Lisa is my youngest daughter’s name? She is the one of the three that checks on us regularly to be sure we are ok. Your living room look’s cozy. Enjoy.

Lisa- looks so homey...what a sigh of relief...go rest that knee..
I am in jammies and the boys are settled down ,just watching a bit of t.v.0 -
Karen, so sorry for your loss. Losing our furbabies is so very hard. Very nice that you were with him at the end. (not that that makes it easier, but comforting for him, I'm sure.)
Lisa, the living room looks lovely! We moved just over a year ago, and I still remember the feeling of having everything in the house, even tho not a single room was photo worthy, was just so wonderful to actually BE there! Do take care of that knee! Happy that you have a surgery date, it's coming up quickly too!
Heather, the area that you are moving too just looks so lovely! So happy for you that it is finally happening!
Many others that I wanted to comment on, but once again I'm at work and just not able to set everything up the way I want. Keep getting interrupted by customers, don't they know I'm busy on the computer! lol Mustn't squawk, I know, without them I wouldn't have a job! And I do enjoy my job, so it all works out.
Eating has been way off the charts, and it seems that even when I'm really paying attention, the scale doesn't think so. Frustrating. I have been snacking on salted almonds a bit, have a bit in the morning with my smoothie for breakfast and then sometimes a few in the afternoon, just before dinner. Maybe there is too much salt? Should check that out, I guess.
Anyway, hugs to those who need them, congrats to those celebrating and welcome to any newbies!

Hello ladies: Beautiful day here. DD and I worked on cleaning out the goat shed today. It got flooded 3 times this summer and fall and was a mess. We pulled up the rubber mats and have them drying out in the sun. I will be glad to start fresh in there, it was getting really stinky. Horses are out in the back yard pasture. Doing fairly well on eating. DGD here to spend the night so pizza tonight but have eaten lightly today so more calories for tonight. Saw cardiologist last Thursday and everything is good so don't need to see him again for a year. Yeah!
Karen - So sorry about Farley but glad you had extra time with him.
Allie - Enjoy your boys.
Rebecca - So glad your youngest is coming home before going to Japan. Enjoy that early Christmas.
Lisa - Happy moving time! Glad you are settling in and take care of that knee.
Heather - Finally a moving date. You must be so relieved.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA3 -

KarenVA ... hugs ...
Heather ... I was over 20 pages behind but kept reading wanting to know how the Hove Saga turned out! So happy to hear that you're finally able to move!
Lisa ... Happy New Home to you too!
Rebecca ... so glad to hear that you will soon have a visit from the youngest son and that you'll also be a grandmother!
Michele ... hoping you'll go and be with Denise for Thanksgiving. You'll want to spend time with your daughter now that she's expecting. Congratulations!
Rori ... being a caregiver is not easy ...
There was more I wanted to comment on, but have forgotten what I wanted to say. I've been thinking of you all. It's been busy here. We just got back from taking out oldest son (wheelchair) on a vacation to Nashville. It's been years since we travelled with him and it was as difficult as we remembered, but he enjoyed himself and that was the point. We stopped in KY and saw the replica Noah's Ark ... very interesting. Visited his younger brother's campus. Went to the Grand Ole Opry and saw a show. Drove through the city and Music Row. Even took in an art show in Centennial Park. Beautiful weather all except for the drive home which was rainy.
My husband and I are getting heavy again and have made a decision to start get back on track with our eating and exercise. We find ourselves falling into a pattern of coming home from work tired, eating dumb, feeling awful as a result and then doing nothing but watching television before going to bed. Started making changes today and will continue with those.
Husband's back was doing pretty good until this past trip to Nashville. Tried to do too much with son. Today we bought a used chair that we thought might fit his back. He sat in it for an hour and now I'm looking for a new home for it. It would be much simpler to just go buy something new, but he hasn't wanted to do that so far...
Glad to be focusing on good health again.

Karen, I'm grieving with you. Am just knowing how you'll miss Farley. That is the hardest part of loving our pets, is when it comes time to say goodbye. How wonderful you were with him. Many hugs to you.
Lanette, thanks for seeking out Wendy. I miss her and wish her well. Hope she is just busy and will be back soon but it isn't like her not to keep in touch.
I'm missing Gloria sometimes, too. She was such a fun person to interact with on this site. Life's so good but sometimes so sad.
