What do you own/not own that makes you different?

Everyone who knows me well knows I’m a minimalist but at first people are surprised at what common items I don’t own. I like hearing what others have deemed unnecessary as well.

However, i also like hearing about unusual things that people do own and the stories behind them.

So what common items do you choose to not have? What uncommon items do you have? Pics for the uncommon items would be awesome.

I don't have an iPhone or Uggs. So don't believe @iMago when he says I am basic

I own an inversion table. That's probably a little unusual. I use it fairly often to attempt to de-compress, and stretch.

I have one of these! Weirdo

I shave with straight razors which is still uncommon though becoming more common again. I'll take a picture of the ones I have at home and post them tonight.

I don't have a computer/laptop not because I don't want or need one, but because I'm always last on my priority list to buy things for. :(

I have a copy of the entire transcript from the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.

    That's very cool.

I have a TV, but I don't have cable or dish.

I don't have any portable kitchen appliances, not even a toaster.

    I don't have a hair brush (I'm a curly girl!)

I don't have anything that doesn't either have a purpose or bring me joy. I don't have lots of anything, but I have plenty.

Portable kitchen appliances are the worst but also the best 😅. I use my toaster, electric tea kettle, coffee maker, coffee grinder, ninja and crockpot but i refuse to get things like a rice cooker or instant pot or any of those things

I've never owned an iPod or MP3 player.

If this was 2008 then it would be weird. But I don't know of anyone today that owns one.

    I don’t own a microwave
    Or a coffee maker
    Or a toaster
    Or a stereo

But I do own a French press, a toaster oven and a record player.

Now this is a fun and weird list.

But how do you play the record player without a stereo?
