The week started off with an unfortunate mishap. I broke my wrist on Sunday morning and need to have surgery to put a plate in for stabilization. I've been feeling so good lately. We were supposed to leave on a cruise for Halloween next Sunday but looks like we will be canceling. Good news is the surgeon said I should be able to run again soon.

I'm just going to keep on doing what I know I need to do, and hopefully it will reflect in the scale next week.
8.5 weeks until Christmas; 9 weeks until 2020; 13 weeks left out of the "52" of this challenge (from my start date). I'm hoping I can get to my goal weight - or very close - by Christmas. If not, I'll just have to take a little longer.

Thank you. It has been a tough week with my own injury and surgery, but my 90 year old Mother also broke her arm and needed surgery this week. She's 1100 miles away and I can't be there. She suffers with moderate dementia as well so it has been stressful for everyone. I am blessed with an amazing sister and niece that are always there for everyone.0 -

2 weeks since I broke my wrist. Little to no activity during this time, but the weight seems to be coming off again. Maybe that is the catalyst needed to break that 130# barrier I've been seeing for the last 2 years. Will be seeing the surgeon later this week to have stitches removed. 5k scheduled for next weekend not going to happen for me. I also have a 10k scheduled for the 23rd, May be able to do a 5k by then.2 -

Challenges: Have only just erased the gain from two weeks ago. Am facing up to the fact I won't reach my final goal before Christmas, and will struggle over the holiday period (and also as I get closer to goal) and likely rebound a bit...
So my goal until Christmas is to shift another 3-6kgs (6-13 lbs), which will put me into the BMI "healthy" range. I'll give myself a little break over Christmas, but get right back on track to lose the last of it.1 -

Successes: Still going in the right direction
Challenges: Weight loss is slower than it was. I am so close to being in the "healthy" BMI range, but it has been teasing me for over a month - my weight will dip down in the middle of the week, but go back up to overweight by my Monday weigh-in day. I have let some of my habits slip a little - not getting to bed on time, tired in the morning, not getting up straight away, making it harder to workout.
This week I am committed to getting back on track with my sleeping and exercise!

Successes: On track with exercise, eating, sleep, and weight is still going in the right direction.
Challenges: Here in Australia there have been lots of bushfires, and while I am not in danger, we have had a few days where the smoke from the fires has made it not safe/healthy to stick to my normal exercise routine (not going to run in smoke). I have been good at adapting, and still getting in exercise, simply by changing to a different form of exercise for those days.
I've also been switching my fasting days around to fit my husband's work schedule - so that I eat on days he is home early enough, and fast on the days he'll be home late. Switching things around like this is more of a challenge, however, it's also good to see that my way of eating is adaptable, which increases the likelihood of it being sustainable long term regardless of what else goes on in my life.
Psychologically I find it more challenging when weight loss slows, as it has the closer I've gotten to the healthy range and my goal weight. It makes me start second-guessing myself, wondering if I need to step it up a level, or try something new. Ultimately, I think what I'm doing is right, I just need to be more patient and perhaps care less about the scales.2
