I know its been pretty tough, it definitely had an impact on us, money was tight and i noticed Ash was buying cheaper shopping and basically enough to see us through where normally we can fully fill our cupboards.

We're all okay from the tumble! Im a little achey but i didnt sleep well either!

I hope your antibiotics are kicking in! Your chin looked really sore x

    Yesterday:
    - take a walk 👠
    - 20 squats 👠
    - clean up the bedroom 👠
    - implement the home screen in the app 👠

    Today:
    - take a walk
    - 20 squats
    - implement the community screen in the app
    - eat dinner with veggies and nothing after

I got inspired to play with icons today :) It's probably superficial but this red shoe reminds me of what I'd like to be - an elegant, successful woman. Although I don't like red shoes :D

Yesterday I ate very little, because of the ultrasound prep. Today, weirdly, I don't feel hungry at all.

So great that you're learning French :) A year or two ago, I've started to listen french audio courses during my walks.
That way I feel less like a hamster on the wheel going through same routes over and over again and I actually look forward to walks and learning something new. The downside is that I don't progress as good in speaking, since I don't feel comfortable repeating French phrases on the street. But it helps me a lot with listening.

@maryrobinson40 Hope you'll beet that nasty thing soon! Hugs!

@aubyshortcake It's really a natural thing to have days when we just eat more, don't punish yourself for that. I would just try to stay with my normal plan as if that high calories day never happen.

I wish you all a great springy weekend :)

I'm finding myself having to really push to make it to the thousands mark. My knees certainly are
hindering me. Since last October I have been taking it easy and scaled back from trying to make
10K happen. I can't recall if I made it, but a few times I got pretty darn close.
I'm fighting for this 20 pound reduction. This morning, with the lower back tightening, I walked
the girls to the bus stop very gingerly. I waved good bye to them as the bus pulled away and started
back down the hill towards home and a voice inside said walk that short parking area. I went around it twice
then walked towards home again. I made it to the house, then purposely walked back up and then came
home to the front steps and did the first step aerobics up and down. Came in and put in the last laundry.
I'm sitting on the bed with the nagging lower back just as happy as I can be. I have to do this.

    6) Evening: pick up dry cat food at vet's on way home  / wash dishes / family room declutter marathon continues / other to-do's? Just. Too. Tired. :/

Today I will paint the spots that I spackled yesterday and then I think I’ll clean our bedroom and maybe go to the laundromat to wash the bedding.

I have to design some invitations for Kaitlyn’s bachelorette party, her maid of honor wants them by April 15.

Elbee - woohoo on the loss! That’s a shame about the contractor, is sounds to me like he didn’t pay his subs and told them your parents didn’t pay. What a world we live in.

Bookmeister86 - I love your flapjack story and how you fit it in at the end. Hope your day is better today.

Clicketykeys - so sorry you are going to have to do some grading over spring break. I hope it’s something you can get done in just one day though.

Maryrobinson40- happy Friday to you! I hope you are starting to see some improvement. You are just keeping going and not letting anything stop you. That’s wonderful. Hope your back loosens up.

Daneejela- I love your icon, I pictured the woman you are envisioning.

Tuddy315- 3 months gone! I received a text from my daughter yesterday that it’s 100 days to her wedding. I can’t believe it.

Azulvioleta6 - you are doing great!

Love it! LOL ~ I even had to look up the British version of flapjack ~ sounds good!

Seriously bummed. The strap on my tracker watch has been coming undone, and I just noticed that it's missing :( It's cheap, but so's my phone, and I don't have any other way to track distance. Well... guessing, I suppose XD

Just wanted to let y'all know how inspiring I find this thread. I love reading about the daily successes, failures and goofiness. It makes me feel "light", lifts the cares of the world for a while.

We are in different phases of life. We are in different stages of fitness/health. We have diverse skill sets. Yet we are all on the same path to health and happiness. You are all so wonderfully supportive, honest and positive. It's very refreshing. Thanks for letting me hang with y'all.

    Happy Friday!

@nlmackey98 Hello beautiful! Awesome having you with us and keep hanging with us. We each want

I have been getting spurts of excitement lately and if it weren't for my knee, I'd give
these younguns a run for their money. Hi! Ho! Silver! Awayyyy!!! 😂
It's my inner child... ROTFL ...sort a... At least in my mind I am.

I found it! I thought I knew where it might have popped off, so I went back and poked around and there it was! Hurray! I just hope the replacement band gets here soon, hahaha!

ALSO! My Ms. Marvel dress got here and it looks FABULOUS and *I* look fabulous IN IT! I don't have red leggings but I may have to get some. But I have some navy blue ones, plus a pair of lace-up combat style boots in yellow vinyl that look awesome with it.

    5x74l1qwk3yz.png

About time to head to the park for a run. Gonna aim for 4.5 miles. We'll see how that goes!

PS that is NOT me, hahaha!

Managed 1.5 and then legs and feet said NO. :( so I walked for awhile. Got in about 3 miles total and it took as long as it would've had I ran 4.5. That kinda sucks.

@clicketykeys I agree with @toaljasa. You’re getting your activity in and you’re listening to your body which means you’ll prevent injury. I’m new to running myself but I’ve only been able to build up my distance by paying attention to what my body is telling me. I’m in a good zone with fitness right now and I’m terrified of injury (still have niggles from a hamstring injury two years ago). I’m telling myself that I have no deadlines to meet so if it takes me ages to get to my fitness goals that is fine, and it is actually happening faster than I thought!

In my yoga classes I have an instructor who tells us to always be grateful for whatever time and effort we make on the mat - “no effort is wasted”. I try and remember that when I’m tempted to beat myself up for not pushing as hard as I could or lasting as long as I expected to. It all counts! X
