I'm heading out right now to walk my dog before I talk myself out of it, so I wanted to quickly post some goals for today. They're the same as yesterday and I'll probably do like @mytime6630 is doing and keep them the same until I get these to become habits.
Hope everyone is doing well!
@Snowflake1968 Those ornaments are so cute! Good luck at the sale!
@AJB1014 Have fun on your Babymoon! That sounds like such a nice time! I'd love to see VT someday. When are you due again? Sorry, I"m sure you've been asked a thousand times already! Do you have names picked out?

Thank you all for the compliments. These were an order for my boss. She bought 139 from us for all of the staff as a Christmas gift.
I do personalize ornaments, these ones werent though. I have a huge sale on Saturday and then I’ll be able to relax and get back onto the health path.
@TerriRichardson112 these are wood burned by my husband and then I paint them. All by hand, no machines.

Hi all,
I hope your Monday was good!
I am in Australia, so we are a bit ahead of you in terms of time.
For my JFT, I want to do one Daily Burn workout this afternoon.
It is scary to say this because as much as my intention might be good to exercise, I usually find some kind of excuse!
I would also like to fast for at least 12 hours after dinner tonight.
Have a good day :-) xx
Nini
@nini9983 Welcome!🎈

Good Morning.
I am Karen
I am new at this! New at weight loss in a long long time, new at asking for help and support. I am in a program with huge calorie restrictions and high protein. Today is day 4 all is well but today I had a bit of stress and immediately I was chomping on food. I know I am a stress eater and don't know how to fix it.
@kheathski Welcome!!2 -
@mytime - wanted to say I enjoy your posts, they are very thoughtful, and you are so encouraging. Rooting for you!!
@maryrobinson - what was the occasion? Where were you going looking so nice?
Took my mom home after Thanksgiving and back to work. Back to my routine. Back to mfp. First day back @ work couldn't stop eating. Today, working on paying attention, drinking more and sticking to the plan.
@cory17 Hello my friend. I was going to a memorial service for my great niece. She had been missing for 3 years. She was 29 yrs. old then. They found her. She had been shot in the head and killed.
Sorry to be so dreb. No worries, No pity for me okay. I just want to live fully. I love you. Thank you.4 -

End of 2018: 189.2
January 2019: 186.0
February 2019: 187.0
Today: 195.4
Ongoing plans/ideas behind the cut1. Purchases: Look for an "ugly Christmas sweater" and a long-haired doll at thrift stores. Practice French braiding. Go to used bookstore and look for On Writing (Stephen King), Dying for a Paycheck (Robin Hardman), The Prince (tr. Tim Parks, Russell Price, or Robert Adams), The Secret Adversary (Christie).
2. E2: What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Create vocabulary lists for each unit that come from the texts used: Animal Farm, Julius Caesar, Wes Moore, I Am Malala. Find a way to incorporate changing words from one part of speech to another. Students need to know how to review multiple sources and synthesize information in order to draw a conclusion. Need practice with the difference between transitions and overlapping (at end of paragraph - "another issue is Y" vs "there are other issues besides X"). Quit using "in conclusion" and "I believe" and other writing-about-my-writing phrases. Confusion between direct/indirect objects and prepositional phrases. Use the UDHR and the Declaration of Independence to study paraphrasing; use that to front-load Machiavelli and how to deal with challenging texts. Confusion between everyday / every day and similar constructions.
3. E1: Need practice with quoting & paraphrasing sources, identifying claims that would need support, use of last names for reference, and capitalization practice (common/proper nouns, titles). Difficulty using possessive nouns in their own writing. Honors: practice subject/object pronouns (my friend and I / my friend and me). Poetry: Revise "Songs are Poetry" handouts.
4. Curriculum Development: Writing mini-unit. Review scholarly research on 5PE. (I think I can have this as an intro to the research unit so that they also get exposure to how quotes are integrated and cited.) Parallel structure; use of emotional language, specific detail. Use "Write About a Pebble" lesson from Atwell. How long should each unit take? Do research on characteristics: curiosity, persistence, resilience, creativity, responsibility, optimism, courage, integrity, authenticity, leadership, self-awareness, humility, compassion - others? Include grammarly check on essays! Review assessments. What is the purpose for each unit? What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Schedule assessments for Fall 2019; plan out return times. Write 1 reflection weekly; type one in Classroom by Weds. Copy-paste to PB for comments due Friday. PB usernames 6 digits, no 19 or 20s, no birthdates. Homework: Online journal Mon due Tue; Reflection Tue due Wed; C&P journal in class Wed; Comments Thu due Fri. Bonus if you are the first response; further bonus if you respond to comments on your post. Grammar practice Mon & Wed; quiz Fri.
5. Professional Development: Write blog post weekly. Comment on 3 posts each week -Tu Th Sun? Check with PSC. Talk with Z about articles and/or conference proposals. NOTE: ATTENDED PRE FLEX DAY.
6. Medical: Dentist Apr 30 8 AM but check on meetings and RS. Onco Apr ???. PCP Schedule for July. ObG schedule for October. PCP - allergy shots?
7. Theater: Mary Poppins Sun Dec 8 1:15. Amen Corner Thu Dec 19 5:45. EGL Fri-Sat 3:30.
8. House: Mineral oil on tile spots. Check with D about ceiling.
9. Fun: Open beading on Thursdays. Coloring at library on Tuesday. Put jewelry away. Edney Hack Nights alt Weds. ASL? Spanish/Portuguese practice? Practice piano. ROL Secret Adversary. Buy new bikes and bike rack for car.
10. Volunteering ideas: Theater. Library. Animal shelter. Community Kitchen. Emerge Georgia training.
WFTY: Climbing. I'm feeling kind of overwhelmed, which I guess is normal for this time of year. It's not too bad, but I feel like... I'm not doing THAT much and I should be able to handle it better.5 -
@PackerFanInGB I'm due March 9! We're considering Patrick, DH's name with a different middle name. Zachary and Cameron are two other front runner right now but nothing solid yet!4

- Get back to my Bible reading. Stalled out in Deuteronomy.
- Bed by 11:00
Really good day yesterday, and I'm down 1.8 pounds from Monday. Some was TOM water weight, but I'd like to think some is me being more conscious.
Daughter's doctors appointment yesterday gave us more questions than answers. They strongly believe the incident was a severe migraine, but need to rule out cardiac issues and vessel issues in the brain. Waiting for blood and EKG results and scheduling a CT scan to rule some things out. Scary stuff, but she is doing well and has had no re-occurrence of the numbness or loss of vision. For now we live our lives and pray its all ok, while keeping an eagle eye on her.
The weekend plan is moderation in food and motion. Cutting down a tree Saturday afternoon. Sleep over Saturday evening. Sunday is kind of up in the air but probably laundry and decorating.
JFT Friday
- Work on time
- Protein bar for breakfast Forgot I had a meeting
- Take leftovers for lunch LOG IT -
- Log all food
- Total calories under 1600 (maintenance)
- Pear for an afternoon snack - LOG IT
- Work until at least 4:00 (ugh)
- Moderate dinner - LOG IT
- 4oz of sorbet for a snack, measure and log!
- Straighten up house and make room for trees.

It’s been a crazy few weeks at work getting everything done and handed over. I’ve been on here but not as active posting as I’d like so I hope to jump back in now I’ll have lots of time at home.

@Faebert , send you lots of hugs from Scotland, hope you have a speedy recovery and the pain soon eases. You are a very brave lady.
I've not been posting for ages, doubt I'll catch up with all the posts. Hope everyone is doing well.
I've just been busy with family, both parents are now home which is great not having to do hospital visits, but still time consuming. My sleep is getting even worse and I'm exhausted a lot of the time. I haven't put any weight on, but I feel really podgy! So I'm mostly eating well, not snacking or overeating.
And just to add to the stress, I'm now hoping to move house. That was a huge decision to make on my own, and I expect it will be an ongoing saga for a few months.
So JFT Saturday,
no snacking
visit Santa
