Early night and hoping for a lie in tomorrow but that will depend on the cat. I am tempted to give him some extra biscuits, but, according to the vet, he does not need to put any weight on. He thinks he is starving all the time!2 -
Why am I feeling so low atm!? 7lbs lost but not lost 1cm anywhere from my body. I have lost it slowly and safely eating plenty and healthy. Exercising and cutting out junk food but it feels to no benefit.
So today....
- no wine to 'cheer me up'
- early night ready for park run tomorrow!
- drink lots of water
You’re moving in the right direction! Just keep doing what you’re doing and you will get there.
Have you noticed any difference in other things? Like, is it easier to bend over to put shoes on? Rings looser on fingers? Those are things I notice first and I try to focus on those little non-scale victories!3 -

- Log every bite
- Drink 90 oz of water
- Try to eat 90 g protein with low net carbs Hubby made ravioli for dinner...'nuff said?!
- Eat only when sitting down
- Mindful choices; no vending machine spontaneous purchases
- Give myself credit for positive choices
- Focus on appreciating what IS instead of focusing on what is not. Practice gratitude. Redirected as much as I could. Family drama got in the way part of the time, but I'm trying really hard...
- Prep for tomorrow, tonight
- Read next chapter of Beck's. Fell asleep!
- Lymphatic massage for arm before bed Got home too late.
- Gratitude Journal / Podcast / Simple Abundance / Calm App / Read until lights out by 10:30
- Get up without hitting snooze on Friday Oooops!
Maddie was a sassy girl at Doggy DayCare today. Then she walked out with an attitude at the end of the day too....ignored me all the way home with her back to me. It just cracks me up, the amount of personality this little mixed breed rescue dog of mine has. I have had many dogs in my life, but I don't think I've ever been this smitten. She just makes me laugh every single day.
So, even though it is late I am going to post what I did do today, as well as what I still plan to do.
Just for Friday, 2/8/2019- Journal every bite
- WATER, WATER, WATER
- Eat only while sitting down
- Redirect thoughts when I begin to worry or feel axious about situation
- Remember...change what you can, accept what you cannot change.
- Calm app to meditate tonight
- Watch Big Brother with husband tonight and relax
- Catch up on social media
- Gratitude Journal / Joyce Podcast / Simple Abundance / Calm bedtime story app or read until sleeping
Also on this weekend's list:
Listen to this week's Half Size Me podcast
Go through clothing in spare room and either keep/donate/toss
Call Planet Fitness and get membership squared away
Tanning? Mani/Pedi?
Shop for 3 outfits that fit and that are my style so I have something comfortable to wear that I feel good in also.
Shop for outfits or sundresses to wear while at dad's that I will feel comfortable in
Finish attaching binding to quilt
Make a list of what to pack & get luggage ready
Financials - bills/ budget / spending money for trip
Update digital accounts
Prep serving-sized snacks to grab easily for lunches, etc.
Word for 2019: tenacity/tenacious - I am tenacious in my pursuit of a healthy body, mind and spirit.
Have a great weekend everyone! :flowerforyou:1 -
@maryrobinson and @bex glad it's turning out well!
and to add to the self care message - schedule your mammograms!
Tomorrow is a new day. This week has been very off the rails.3 -
The sunshine of my day was trying on my wedding dress that came in from ordering and not having no make one single alteration, not even a hem. It fits like it was custom and no additional alteration charges except $60 for the bustle. Here it is! And me, my mom and meme (her first selfie, she was so excited )5

My day go flip turned upside down...
JFT - Friday
1. Make it to the gym before work. up at 4:00 at gym by 4:30 and work by 6:45.
2. Give a great Fun with Science show without catching Leo on fire. -
3. Have a sensible lunch out with the group. - . I kept calories in check by only eating half of the carbolicious Stromboli.
4. Get a walk (with hills) after work to help pay for that stromboli.
5. Healthy dinner with the family. Last minute trip to Cleveland and the associated 3 hour drive turned that healthy meal into a Bk Whopper ketchup only and about 10 French fries.
6. End the day under goal. The win is that my high fat high carb choices didn’t cause me to spiral out of control.
I know I ended up under for the day, but I’m not happy with my choices. I am glad I got my hike in. Sigh. Tomorrow is a rest/ travel/ watch kids do their thing day. It will be all about diet and most meals will be on the run. Makes me cringe a little.3 -
Feb 9 Goal: Drink more water and stay away from sweets.3
-
Morning all, ended the week strong despite an incredibly frustrating and tough work day. Lots of staff off sick at school and rain stopping the children from going out to play meant there was just no time to get any prep work done and I was run ragged trying to do everything without any help. It’s exhausting - 5 and 6 year olds can’t be left to their own devices for even a minute! Anyway, pushed through and managed to get most of it done but I really hope we have people in on Monday!
This weekend I need to really concentrate on my goals. I know I feel much better and stay more on track if I work out so I will do so even though I’ve probably earned a rest day! Beyond that, just hanging out with the kids and making sure the house is ship-shape before another hectic work week begins!
Friday goals recap:
- morning run?? ✅ and matched Wednesday’s effort so I’m v pleased 😀
- Sort printing out on arrival at school (ask M to trim and stick in sheets) ✅ no assistants in for our year group again due to illness so 60 kids with just two adults the whole day. Just about managed this 😅
- Find boxes and paint for props ✅ managed props without painting!
- Water! ✅
- Finish phonics screening ❎ see above, not enough staff!😖
- Home lunchtime for car ✅
- Hot yoga after work ✅
- Pick up P from play date? ❎ the other parent very sweetly dropped her home for me
- Early night❎
Saturday goals:
- morning workout
- Girls hair wash
- Out for lunch/homework at cafe
- Remember water!
- Grocery shopping
- Prep ingredients for parents coming over for lunch
- Laundry/cleaning
- One evening snack only
- Early night
Hope you all have a great start to the weekend x2 -
@AJB1014 , beautiful dress, and how perfect that it didn't need alterations. Love the photo with your family
JFT 8th February
Log accurately YES
Stay within calories YES, kept it low to help balance out today
Eat proper meals with veg YES, big pile of veg
Get hair cut YES
Visit parents YES
Housework SOME
Do some back exercises! YES
I did some stretching exercises, then found a video online of more exercises which might help sciatica, so did those. I only made the effort as I didn't want to report back here that I hadn't done anything again, so thank you!
JFT 9th February
Log accurately
Try to stay in the green, but at least under maintenance
Eat veg
Finish housework
Shop for parents and myself
Exercise!
My son D is coming to stay for the weekend, to meet his new nephew. So I'll be cooking for him, and likely also for son W and his partner (the new parents). They all eat a lot more than I should be (I'm one of mfp's 1200 calories a day people). So I will be joining them in nice meals, but will be mindful as well, especially of portion sizes.

Hey everyone!
@AJB1014 you and the wedding dress look gorgeous! I love it!!
Im tired today, (well im tired everyday!)
Dont really know what to do with myself yoday.
Ive still not bathed the dog so maybe take him for a run, let him get all messy and then bath him.
Ive got a biscuit mix in the cupboard so might make them with Saskia, and clean the rabbit out i suppose!
And mfp goals
- 8 glasses of water
- be in the green
- keep house clean
LAUNDRY!
weve stopped using the dryer to save some money, but it
Made the washing harder because i only have so many rsdiators and kitchen cupboards and doors to hang stuff on!
And when i fell asleep last night my partner did 2 washes! But he doesnt hang it? So ivd got 2 piles of wet stuff and not enough space to hang it all!2 -
Missed a few days of checking in and I already feel my habits slipping.
Been ok but not perfect logging my food and not consistent with exercise.
JFT Saturday 2/8:
- Log all the food I eat
- 30 minutes of cardio
- Report JFT progress at the end of the day3 -
JFT - Saturday
- Up & showered by 7:00.
- Eat breakfast
- Take S to indoor rowing competition & cheer loudly.
- Eat sensibly on the 3 hour drive home
- Make it to gymnastics meet by 4:00
- Find some way to eat dinner on the run without smashing my calorie goal.
- Bed by 10:00.
Wish me luck. Calories will be tough today. On days like this I’m prone to skipping meals if I can’t find decent options. Probably not the best plan. Of course, watching my beauty compete is always fun.2 -

Didn’t do a lot of anything yesterday except watch YouTube videos trying to learn a new computer program that will work with my Cricut. I really need a laptop for myself, Jasmyne is supposed to be upgrading and giving me her old one, I’m just not sure when that is happening.
Tonight we have the Grands for the 3rd Saturday in a row. Next weekend will seem very quiet.

Mytime6630 - I have no words to help ease your mind about your daughter, just know I think about you lots and pray that she gets better soon.
Toaljasa - Valentines candy, we don’t celebrate Valentine’s in our house, hubby is against the commercialism of it, so I’m lucky no one buys it for me. I’m not a very big candy eater, now if they start making heart shaped potato chips I may be in trouble!
Nlmackey98 - to respond to someone you can hit quote and their original message shows up in your post you are typing. As long as you leave the [/quote]’s at the start and end you can edit what is on the middle.
Fun with science - are you a teacher? Good job on. It catching Leo on fire!
Faebert- 60 kids - 2 adults, you had a busy day!
Littleblackskirt- I’m a 1200 calorie person too, it’s a tough road some days.
Enjoy having your son home for the weekend.
Bex953172 - why when they try to help does it make things worse? Maybe you should just dry those loads otherwise they may become mouldy and that would be more expensive than running the dryer.
Michiwano - you came back that’s a good step in the right direction. I find even on days I have to come back and say I failed at everything keeps me accountable and keeps my goals in my head.2 -
@maryrobinson and @bex glad it's turning out well!
and to add to the self care message - schedule your mammograms!
Tomorrow is a new day. This week has been very off the rails.
@cory17 THANK YOU! I'm believing better days ahead. Even today. That's my attitude
of gratitude every day of my life. Every day is an opportunity to LIVE LIFE... not just exist,
but make the most of a day for others, and self. To love on purpose, give on purpose,
and be the best you that you can be. Not in comparison to others, but to yourself.
Don't you believe that you're so wonderful and have so much amazing stuff in you
that you haven't even uncovered yet? I believe that's in all of us. I believe in you Cory as well as every
human being on this thread. Multi-gifted, beautiful people here .
So when I say I love you..."put it in the bank" because I do with every fiber
of my being. I thank you and I love you for your encouragement.
(((Hugs))) 😀5
