When girl look messy,no make up,hair in a gross ponytale, ect. come on ladies:angry:

Wow, er don't ever come to my gym then lol. My philosophy is it's not about how you look in the gym, it's about how the gym makes you look the rest of the time. So yeah, I gradually sweat off my makeup and my hair frizzes up with heat and moisture and my face gets red (especially when I lift), but in my experience you get a lot more respect from the serious athletes there if you're not primping and applying mascara but working your *kitten* off.

People who talk on their cell the whole time they are "working out".

People who don't put their stuff away when they are done (I clean up after boys at home AND at the gym. le sigh.)

Those who spend more time posing that lifting...I understand wanting to see progress, but I have been sweating my @ss off for an hour and look like this...why do you not even sweat, do 10 curls in the squat rack, and look like a freaking Adonis? (Because god has a sense of humor is why)

Oh and re: "When girl looks messy, no make up, hair in a gross ponytale, etc. come on ladies" : GTFO. Seriously. Should I look life freaking Tyra Banks at the gym? I look like I took a shower I sweat so much. What would be the point? :noway: (by the way I fixed your typos)

I've started to get annoyed by this trainer that keeps telling me I should do his bootcamp class after he sees me lift. What a joke!

People that don't rerack their weights

Grunters, the ones that feel the need to almost grunt/yell for every rep

People that slam their weights down, when you are concentrating on what you're doing and then BAM, it scares the **** out of you

    Men that stare

    Sticky equipment. Yuk

    Amen.
I really hate when I get on my favorite bike at the gym and it feels like it's coated in maple syrup.
I'm not tasting it to find out.

I have a tiny gym that's part of my apartment complex and I'm usually the only one in, which is lovely. Only annoyance really is that the treadmills have a maximum timer limit of 60 minutes so I have to stop and start again every hour.

I hate the gym, so I don't go. I usually found myself walking on a treadmill and what not because after i basically destroyed my body playing Baseball I wasn't really allowed to do much. Broken Collarbone, Fractured Neck, two ankle surgeries.... My sports (and lifting days) are over.

The one thing I really hated where those buff jersey shore wannabees who put 400 pounds on the machine, walk circles around it and make all sorts of noise like "OK LETS DO THIS" and "HERE WE GO" and the sit on the bench and suddenly need a drink or a quick warmup lap around the gym to get there head together... Usually they leave and forget too take the weights off... (or intentionally forget to take the weights off)... Or those guys who are grunting and look like the veins in there neck are going to explode.....

Another thing is I have always wanted a skinny lean body, not a big bulky body. I have a wide frame and was always harassed by the football coaches, but I never liked lifting weights. I was more of a long distance bike rider or Walker... And those activities you can do outside :)

The lone woman on the treadmill who commandeers the largest fan and points it directly at her with no regard to the rest of us sweating elsewhere in the room.

When you have like a guy that puts all this waight on the bench and all he does is just look around to see who is watching him and never attempts to do it.

    O. M. G. Just had a guy (who was about as big around as my wrist) pop me on my butt and tell me I needed to increase my weight in order to maximize my leg workout. He forced me give him my sweetest "go f#}% yourself" smile. Couldn't help it--had to pop him back and tell him to lead by example.

I have no problem with helpful advice but A) don't really like random strangers touching me and B)how about be able to show some degree of success first!!

Last time I wore waterproof mascara, it gave me chemical burn on my cornea. Sorry, not gonna wear it to please your visual sensitivities. SMH.

I'm fairly short, so when I have to unrack someone's barbell that they left at about the height of my head on the squat rack, I get a bit annoyed. :grumble:

Edit: I don't always wear makeup to the gym. I really don't see the need. I'm presentable but for crying out loud I'm there to work out not pick up!

I hate when people stare at you in disbelief that you would actually take the time to work out. I don't know if that happens to anyone else, but it makes me uncomfortable. It's like they're saying go back to that couch you were sitting on.

    This

Oh my yes this one! But I no longer care. I'm there for me, and besides, I always out perform the one who's looking over my shoulder. I may be chubby, but I can work it! lol

I hate when the roid heads scream while doing their sets.

Well, I don't know about "roid heads" or "screaming". To look at me, you'd never know I even work out (at least not yet), BUT I have been known to grunt rather loudly on difficult rep. It helps somehow.

YES! I'm only 5'0" tall. Never mind, that it's just incredibly rude not to put things back the way you found them. Were they raised in a barn?

A little bit of glancing around is normal - HATE the starers/lurkers/creepers.

Im sure its been said but when the gym is pretty empty & the person manages to work out directly beside or behind me.

My #1 thing (subject to change on a daily basis) is when people stay on their machine between sets. It's simple, people:

    1) Do your set.
    2) Get off the machine.
    3) Linger by the machine so people know you're not done, but that you're making it available for them to get a set in between yours.

    There. Do that.
