01/23 143 Late posting but I'm going to try not to forget a day this round 🙂. Still grying to focus on IF, for the most part have done well. Also could do better with water intake. Good luck friends!
01/24 143 Tonight we are going out to eat to a wing place, so there may be a temporary gain tomorrow.
01/25 143.5 I expected a little gain, had a cocktail and wings last night and wing chips. Was so good though!
01/26 144 LNS got to me last night, I didn't just snack, I had pancakes! Drinking lots of water today.
01/27 144 Well I'll never reach my goals if I keep eating like I have this weekend. We had fast food last night. Going to the grocery store today because I'm out of a lot of healthy foods, that should help for sure. Time to make things better this round. My husband has taken a lot of work off lately just to burn some of his vacation time, and it's so much harder for me to stay on track when he's home. He goes back to work tomorrow, so this coming week should be better.

01/23—216.8— Not an unexpected bump. I'm back to retaining water, have some digestive funkiness, and TOM looms. I didn't get 45 to continue to the next round of my push ups challenge, but I'm stoked because I got to 40. (42 if I count the two terrible ones at the end where I lost my form and nearly faceplanted.) So I went from 31 to 40 in ten days. Progress!

01/24—215.8—Had a lot of guesswork in my calories yesterday. I estimated high but lunch was plain chicken breast on plain salad. (I hate conference food!) Today will be more sedentary than yesterday, so I'll need to be mindful and keep moving.

01/25—216.6—TOM and non-ideal eating. Boo. I ate back all of my exercise calories, which I don't tend to like to do. I don't feel great, but I don't feel terrible either, which is a win!

01/26—217—This was after drinking a couple of glasses of water.

01/27—215.8—Late weigh-in. I felt really awful this morning so I went back to bed.

01/28—216.2—Rocky weekend for how I was feeling, but I ate well and got in a lot of moderate exercise minutes. I don't work for the US federal government, but a lot of my work is in reaction to what the federal government does, so it's possible this will be a real sprint of a week as the end of the shutdown might mean a ton of new things to respond to. Whee!

01/29—216.2—Still retaining some water. Yesterday was very quiet at work, which makes me nervous! I'm wearing pants today that gave me a muffin top the last time I was this weight (actually, I was a little lighter). No muffin top now! So things are shifting around. Continuing the push ups and Butt & Gut challenges. And I'm now in the habit of long stretches of medium intensity cardio. Not for weight loss but for cardiovascular fitness.

1/23: 198.8 - thank goodness! 🤩 Onederland! This was the woosh I was expecting all last round. Hit all my goals yesterday.

1/24: 198.2 - met, and exceeded, all my goals yesterday. Tried drinking 150oz of water, which is recommended for my weight by a lot of calculators, but had to get up 3x during the night, so I’ll stick with the 100oz still, which allows me to sleep through the night. I made oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookies with the kids yesterday AM, and have so far resisted having one. Normally I would crave one for breakfast with my coffee, but sweet doesn’t sound *as good* in the AMs after trying to do high protein in the mornings for the last month (this is a great NSV for me!), and I know if I start my day with one, it could all go downhill fast. Also, I tried switching 1 of my coffees for 1-2 black teas over the past week, and I was getting headaches, so I am back to coffee with milk (the only time I ever get headaches, for the last 20 years, has been from lack of caffeine.)

1/25: 196.6 - whoa, totally unexpected, but I’ll take it! Had a stressful day, and got some very bad news. Hit all my goals, but didn’t eat nutritiously.

Also, today marks 1 month since I started. I’ve lost 14lbs total, have only had alcohol once (next round I’ll start adding it back carefully - I credit alcohol calories with a majority of my weight gain), feel like I mostly have a good and sustainable routine with getting to the gym (making it routine is always hard for me), and I have more energy in general. I think I’ve lost at least two inches off my waist, but I didn’t measure right away, so I won’t officially measure again until next week. My skin is the most noticeable difference too me - it looks great and glowing with all the water and workouts. This group has been super motivating and inspirational and I appreciate you all! Having a place to report in is definitely helping me stick to my daily goals more than I would have otherwise.

1/27: 197.0 - 😆 oh boy! This is why I didn’t change my goal weight for this round after getting in the 196.x. Was under calories yesterday, and had an extra active day with my kids (and a nap 🎉), but didn’t have dedicated exercise, only got 80oz of water, and my Fitbit needed to be recharged, so I imagine I was close on steps and calories burned but just don’t know for sure.

1/28: 197.2 - I expected this. Extra active day yesterday, hit all my goals, but food was high in sodium. Pre-made steak, chicken, and black beans to use for meals all week. I am feeling extremely anxious today about some projects I need to start/complete in the next day, so I hope I can handle them well. Hugs appreciated - my stomach is in knots over them.

1/29: 196.6 - Hit all my goals yesterday. Burned 1k on the elliptical according to Fitbit, without the gossipy neighborhood lady there to motivate me to work out hard 😆. Prepped lots of cut veggies and veggie dishes for the week, so should have very little food prep needed through the weekend. Still wracked with nerves about my projects.

01/23 ….. 187.1 ….. This thing we always hear about it being hard to lose weight in the winter…. Well, they ain’t kiddin’ folks! It’s not just the holidays! It’s being stuck in during these snow storms & much much more.
01/24 ….. 186.8 ….. Yesterday was great. Right on plan. IF 18:6 Over six hours of sleep which is phenomental for me! 21 Net Carbs. 1062 Calories. 16,231 steps. 6.93 miles of activity. 13/13 steps hours on fitbit. I danced 53 minutes (my son danced 39 of them with me!) Sample song: Beautiful Loser by Bob Segar.
01/25 187.3 No dancing yesterday but I did get in a 35 minute walk. IF 16:8. 10,193 steps total. 4.34 miles. 12/13 step hours. 2301 calories burned. 4 hours 30 minutes of sleep.
01/26 ….. 187.1….. 14 Net Carbs. 1365 Calories. I burned 2604 calories. 13,363 steps overall. 5.71 miles overall. 13/13 step hours on fitbit. Slept 4 hours 23 minutes which is typical. My awake/eating window is bigger than normal due to such little daily sleep so I keep it in check with 16:8 IF. I aerobic danced 53 minutes. One of the songs was “Give credit where credit is due” by Meghan Trainor.
01/27 …..186.9 ….. 12 Net Carbs. 1144 Calories. I burned 2549 Calories for the day. 13,155 steps overall. 5.58 miles overall. 13/13 step hours on fitbit. I slept an amazing 7 hours 57 minutes last night (which I haven’t done in years!) IF 16:8. I danced for 55 minutes. One of the songs was “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen.
01/28 …..186.7….. Fat is melting away in a slow drip but I’ll take it. All this new muscle movement in the dancing is likely adding a bit of water, but if it is needed for recovery or for muscle building I then that’s okay. I may have a cup or two of double threat water today using the Parsley sprigs & lemon. I had a Long work day yesterday but got in lots of steps, then a couple of sets of dancing later, some with son. Great numbers to report: 10 Net Carbs. 1040 Calories. I burned 2853 calories for the day. 22,158 total steps & 9.39 miles! Yay me! 13/13 step hours on fitbit. IF was at 21:3 because of late start eating & time restraints. I slept 5 hours 27 minutes. I danced for 150 minutes and my son danced 53 of them with me! One of the songs was “I Can’t Get Next To You”, by the Temptations.
01/29 184.8 Whoosh, there it is! Yesss….. Finally the dancing is showing up on the scale. Diet has stayed on point too. Keeping this momentum up has not been too difficult. I love it when I get to these strong points. It’s just a matter of getting through the weak ones first till you reach the other side! I hope this lasts awhile. 22 Net Carbs. 1264 Calories. I burned 2616 Calories. 16,584 steps & 7.05 miles. 13/13 step hours on fitbit. IF 16:8. I slept 4 hours 31 minutes. I danced 83 minutes. One of the songs was “Have you ever seen the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It’s a bit of a different version on Alexa, but I like it. I played it on the warmup side of my set ( a couple of songs in the middle of the set are my fastest peak). I tried to get “When Doves Cry” by Prince but Alexa wouldn’t give it to me. Drats! Thanks to everyone for the nice comments, the likes, and the emails I’m getting regarding the dancing. I am so happy to hear that some of you have picked up the “habit” too. It feels good to give something back when I have taken so much from all of you. This is wonderful! And to @quiltingjaine : I’m another crazy person that puts my scale EXACTLY in the same spot on the floor for weighing. I understand our craziness. I, too, want to see the EXACT difference in my weight from day to day. Also, I wanted you to know that I had 2 TBSP of PB last night (like I did a few weeks ago), regular creamy Jif. Last time I marched an extra mile for it. This time I danced an extra bit at 11:00 PM for it which was more fun & went by quicker . Of course, I saved room in my macros for it! I needed a little bit of a snack & the PB offered some protein, not just all sugar like a cheat treat.  I’m mentioning again so all the newbies can see that if we cave & have a LNS, we must choose as wisely as possible, then get up off our bums and work it off! @shunggie Before I started going to the gym I was very self conscious, thinking people would stare and giggle. I was assured by the members of an exercise forum that those body builders are too busy admiring themselves in the gym mirrors. And if they did look at me they were thinking to themselves that it was good that I was taking care of myself by being there.

@deepwoodslady Donna, can you get Smucker’s Natural PB? NO sugar. I buy it when we go to OK because I haven’t found it here and I don’t eat it often. My daughter says that another brand is at Walmart-Laura Scudder? I haven’t seen that one either. We love CCR!

I still don"t have a fridge or a stove but I have started getting the cupboards and small appliances organized. The cupboards are configured differently than before so it takes some trial and error, but it is very nice to have a new clean kitchen! I think that the first thing I will cook when I get my appliances in chicken picatta - I've never made it before but this seems like a good time to try new things.

In the afternoon I attended a memorial service for a dear friend, mass followed by a series of presentations followed by a reception followed by a party. Dinner was take out Chinese food. I expect some of this gain is sodium related. Back to kitchen unpacking today after I catch up on all the posts here.

1/23 - 133.6 - yesterday (again) way over calories due to low-sleep-induced sugar, and way under step goal. Poor sleep leaves me depleted and with very sub-par ability to govern myself.
Today, however, is the start of a new round and time to remind myself that every day, every moment, is a new chance to choose.
1/24 - 134.4 - yesterday was pretty good, honestly a bit over maintenance but at least I logged and did not totally abandon sense. 5500 steps only though.
1/25 - 134.2 -
1/26 - 133.6 -
1/27 - didn't weigh - yesterday doubtless over on calories, but 13/13 hours active on my fitbit, 11K steps, walked 2 miles, and got on my road bike for 40 minutes and climbed a hill till I couldn't.
1/28 - 135.0 and deserved. Food has been all over the map but mainly, over. On the brighter side, got on my road bike again for 40 minutes, and went farther up that hill before I couldn't.

1/29 -134.4 - yesterday under my .5-loss calorie goal, 11K steps including a short 20 minute run with our newish rescue dog. Run included stops for canine bodily functions, prevention of leash-hobbling, soothing said dog when other canines barked or coveys of quail took off nearby. So not a continuous run, just saying! Still fun.

01/23🥂 *my 9 year anniversary with my hubby*🥂140.0 Wow, what a whoosh! I also saw 139.8 but didn't want to jinx it, so took the higher number. I will be honest, it might not stay. Today is my anniversary and my man is planning a night of activities so I might indulge. I will be exercising and I will try and eat healthy veggies and fruits but keep the higher end calories for tonight's dinner. It will be an NSV if I stay away from desert, which I am really worried about. My hubby told me I have been doing amazing and it is only one night but I am apprehensive because I am beginning to close the gap between the 40s and 30s and don't want to off set it....but he is right. I always jump back on again and it will just take a few extra days to get back to this weight, but I can do it.

01/24 142 I just love to force myself to really work for my losses lol. Last night was amazing, my hubby and I had a great time together, playing games, eating Chinese food and watching tv. It was so relaxing and I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am so happy I am with him and I don't know what I have ever done to deserve such an amazing human being. I am truly blessed. I know this uptick is from the salt from last night's dinner and I don't expect it to stay for long, I am actually surprised it wasn't more. I ate so much food, i literally hurt myself. Still feeling slightly bloated this morning too. But I did exercise good and drank a little over 1 liter of water. Hopefully I can undo most of this damage by tomorrow but I know it will take a couple of days to see if it really has come off.

01/25 141.2 there we go! Exercised good, stayed under calories and drank 2 liters of water. Tomorrow is my weigh in day for some MFP groups, so hoping today I can push out a little more for an over all impressive weight loss this week, regardless of Wednesday's meal. I hope this weekend isn't too tough on me. Family breakfast and then off to a friend's house for the hockey game... I will stay diligent!

01/26 142.6 a small bump. I did this to myself. Last night I tried so hard, I ate other, healthier options to stay way from the snacking but after what felt like forever, smelling the chips and stuff my hubby was eating, i finally gave in. I was so hungry all day and couldn't manage to get full. It was just one of those "powerful cravings not enough will power" type of days. I am still exercising and managed 2 liters of water. I made my peace.

01/27 no weigh in. I wasn't as hungry yesterday and was good all day up until dinner. Went over to a friend's house and I attempted to eat before hand to curb my appetite but it didn't end up working out. It's ok though. This morning my man woke me up and we grabbed some coffee and break fast together and I completely forgot to weigh in before hand. Just gives me another day to attempt to bring down my (almost) weeks worth of terrible eating. I am still exercising regularly so that is something. I can't help feeling super relaxed with my weight (a complete turn around from last week) but I think my excitement and drive to get out of this decade is beginning to return, so I hope that puts a new fire under my *kitten*. I will do this! I can do this!

01/28 143.8 yikes! could only imagine what the day befores weight looked like, considering I was so good yesterday with my eating. I didn't exercise much, kind of hibernated but had a really nice day and got in 2 liters of water.

01/29 141.8 and back down again. Ate good yesterday and workout...especially shoveling snow. Holy cow the snow is taller then me!!! 1.8 liters of water, getting better at it and staying mindful. TOM is due to arrive tomorrow so we will see how this round ends. 10 days goes by so fast!

Last round I finally reached that elusive 140's decade that had been haunting/teasing me for the last couple of rounds. I hope to see a new low of 147/146 this round and continue to drop my 10 day average. I do have a 3 day family ski trip this weekend, so I am going to try and work around that and focus on my goals. I do not ski (not coordinated enough for that) but everybody else does. So I do a lot of reading, people watching, shopping, and drinking in the lodge. This round ends on a Friday, which is usually one of my lowest days of the week. So I am excited to see how this round goes.

01/23 -148.8 Back to normal after my weekend blip. Doing good today and have my lunch and water mapped out. DH and I have dinner plans with all 5 of our kids tonight. It is really hard to get everybody together anymore now that they are so busy with there own lives. We are going to Red Lobster so should be easy to stay in calories as long as I stay away from the rolls. 2 more days and we will be on vacation.
01/24 - 149.4 Up just a bit probably from dinner last night. I cheated and ate 1 of the roll (worth it), other than that did great. Work half day today, then my son has an orthodontist appt and my daughter has a cleaning at the dentist. Tonight packing and getting ready for out trip. Will weigh tomorrow, but the hubby said the scale is not coming with us, lol. So no weigh in after that until Monday. Hopefully it's not going to be to terrible.
01/25 - 149.4 didn't do great last night. Had a left over roll from Red Lobster and 2 beers. Lol, DH and I started our vacation a bit early. The rest of the day was good and I had a low calorie dinner. Leaving in about an hour and will try and update, but won't have weights. Hope everybody has a great weekend and hope my weight isn't to terrible on Monday.

01/28 - 153.4 totally expected. No where near enough water this weekend and extremely tired. Our weekend vaca was so busy and over so quick. Had fun though and glad we got to spend time with the family. Drove home last night and I could tell I was dehydrated. Although I did sleep great for the first time since Thursday. This bump will be gone by tomorrow. Water, clean food, and sleep tonight are my goals. Looking to finish this month and 10 day challenge off right this week. Looking for my 147.xxx to pop up on the scale!
01/29 - 150.8 did well yesterday, so I expected a pretty good water weight loss. Tomorrow I should be back down to normal weight. No alcohol at all this week until the Super Bowl is my goal. Would love to loose 1 more pound by the end of this round. I have 2 weeks before we leave for Vegas, so my goal is to be 145 when I get on that plane. We will see if it happens.

01/26 -131.4 (Had a nice massage yesterday. Late birthday treat. They had a lot of sugary snacks on hand in the waiting area. Biscuits being offered, chocolates on the table, gummy sweets to the side; It was a challenge to resist free offerings. Then when I had a cup of tea, 2 little biscuits with dark chocolate and coconut covering were served beside it. Warred with myself for 5mins before I ended up having them. After searching for them online, 2 of them come to 7g carbs. So much for such small biscuits. But I was able to resit asking for more or going 'oh well might as well splurge now and have that chocolate too'. I managed to keep to my carb limits for the day.)

01/27 - 130.8 (Surprising, considering I snacked on some nuts late last night. Stressful time with my 6 months old nephew as he has a cold and wouldn't stay asleep for long. Sister out for the night with friends. )

Goal: As a furloughed employee I didn't really how much of a challenge it would be for me to get my water in without the daily structure of work, so my goal for this round is to figure out a method that will work for me to get my water in while I am off work.

01/23--214.9 I am going to try a new plan to get my water in...I have a pitcher that I am going to fill with water and I'll place it on the table so that I can see the pitcher throughout the day. Hopefully, this will remind me to drink my water. Today is run day, hopefully the rain lets up soon. Yoga tonight.
01/24--214.9 The water pitcher idea from yesterday worked! Even though I increased my water intake yesterday, I also did a lot of mindless snacking yesterday, so I need to work on that today. Finished w2d2 of c25k yesterday; however, I woke up this morning with some pain around the knee, so I don't know if I will be going to the gym today. I think I will do some stretching/foam rolling and if the knee feels better I will go to the gym later this evening, if no change then I will just skip the gym today.

01/27--214.2 Did over 6 miles of walking with my dog group yesterday, my legs were so sore this morning that I did not want to go to the gym, but I forced myself to go and while it wasn't pretty, I did my weightlifting. Relaxing for the rest of the day to get myself ready for a return to work tomorrow.
01/28--214.5 Back at work today. Didn't want to, but when I got home did W3D1, it felt great. Did some stretching and foam rolling when I got home. Tomorrow is weightlifting, sadly now that the furlough is over I will be up at 4:45 am in order to get to the gym before work. Ugh
01/29--214.5 My watch alarm did not go off this morning so I missed my morning weightlifting. What's ironic is that I was upset when I didn't wake up at 4:45 this morning even though last night I was dreading getting up that early. Now I have to figure out whether I go to the gym later tonight or try again tomorrow morning, I'm leaning towards going tonight but I will have to go late enough that I miss most of the evening crowd.
