I’m bulking using compound lifts a few times a week I know I need to eat about 2500 calories but I’m not sure what kind of things to eat
Can anyone give me suggestions
I don’t eat junk food at all or sugary drinks
My go to is pasta but I don’t know if that’s right
Open to suggestions

So all of u guys are saying that I should just do a dirty bulk and eat everything that I can because when u first start lifting because of newbie gains you don’t gain fat?1

nope.
stick to a small surplus to minimise fat gains, but once you have hit your protein and carbs goal you don't get extra points for eating 'clean'.
obviously some fruit and veg is good for you, but there's nothing wrong with a bowl of ice cream or a doughnut to hit your calorie goal.10 -

Dirty bulk doesn't refer to types of food - it means a very large calorie surplus where people accept they will gain a lot of fat along with muscle gains. Popularised decades ago by people taking loads of performance enhancing drugs.
Clean bulk doesn't refer to types of food - it means a modest calorie surplus to keep fat gain low. Lean bulk would be clearer terminology.
Think you are doing yourself a huge disservice by categorising your foods as clean or junk. Yes have an overall healthy diet but there's no reason to deprive yourself of pasta! It's not right or wrong it's simply food with a particular calorie and macro breakdown.
The two extremes or all "clean" or all "junk" has a huge middle ground. Mostly good healthy foods with a few treats just eaten for enjoyment and to boost your intake to achieve your goals perhaps?
Yes because you are young, male, relatively new to training and slim you will be able to gain muscle faster than those who aren't male, aren't young, have been training for years etc. etc. and you will be able to have a more aggressive surplus and gain less fat. You choose the balance that suits you best.11 -
Peanut butter and trail mix are always part of my bulking diet.0

No, a healthy diet is important, but you don't get extra credit for more broccoli. Hitting your surplus calorie target and running a solid hypertrophy program is what is going to be the most important thing for bulking.
And on that note, I have a very hard time believing that a male is going to bulk on 2500 calories...that's right around maintenance for the average male. I'm oldish with a desk job and exercise regularly, but nothing crazy and I maintain on around 2800-3000 on average.5 -

@patrickrea2002 I dont know where you are based but Halo Top is quite a nice ice cream or if you are on this side of the Atlantic as in Ireland and England, Breyers is better than Halo Top.
But not necessarily helpful when someone is trying to bulk. Full fat ice cream would be more helpful in that situation.6 -

Ben and Jerry's The Tonight Dough. But it's a splurge for me, because once it's open, I'll eat the whole pint. 1240 calories of full-fat yum!0 -

I bet ya I could... I'm 5'9". currently 159-161lbs (after losing 80), roughly 16-17% BF, desk job, new lifter doing 3x week dumbbells only- roughly 30 mins per session. With no lifting/exercising, so my normal daily routine before I decided to build more muscle, I maintain at 1900-2100 calories per day.
2500 would put me in the range of 400-600 above .. accounting for new workout activity, that leaves a decent weekly calorie surplus for me. But this should all demonstrate just how personal these figures all are. Of course, there are generalities that can be made, and basic assumptions since we are all the same species with similar internal processes... but enough variation that nothing is for sure.
