Seem to have been getting nowhere. Have lost 8lb since the start of the year but just been going up and down the last few rounds and getting very frustrated. Seems so much harder than last time - something needs to change but I have to find out what and how. In my head I am blaming peri-menopause (everything is a bit hit and miss and irregular these days!!) but is that an excuse rather than a reason ?
From a motivation point of view, I so need to get under 150 and stay there - summer and my holiday is getting closer ...... so target for this round is 149lb a 1.6lb loss - aiming for slow and steady
I do have 10 clear days to get focused............3,2,1,go!!!!

04/02 - 150.1lb (-0.5lb) - happy with that to start the round. Didn't get to the gym as planned last night - they are moving premises weren't yet finished so had a more relaxed evening (and quite enjoyed it!) Good food day planned and feeling a bit more positive with this good start
04/03 - 148.5lb (-1.6lb) What ??? 2lb in 2 days - no idea where or how but I'll take it thank you. Wish I could explain it as would do it againCarb heavier dinner tonight (home made burgers) so may see this go up a bit tomorrow ...
04/04 - 148.6 (+0.1lb) Very happy that the big drop is staying dropped! No gym again last night as still not quite ready so did go for a (short) walk. Guess I am "in the zone" so hoping it carries on - really not sure what I have changed but going to carry on as is for now as seems to be working at the minute!
04/05 - 146.3lb (-2.3lb) Seriously ???? Over 4lb gone in 4 days having struggled for weeks and weeks. Can't go on forever so am enjoying it while I can - weight loss isn't constant but obviously all my work the last few weeks is paying off - just only showing on the scales now. All I can put it down to is that the last week I have been drinking more green tea rather than normal (english) tea and milk even though the milk was part of my daily calories - that is all that has changed. So sticking with plenty of green tea for now!
04/06 - 146.20lb (-0.1lb) - definitely wasn't expecting another big loss today! Really pleased with this as at least the loss is holding at the minute. Got in a 1hr gym session yesterday and 10k steps and feeling good at the minute. Good food day planned (including our within calories full on Sunday roast with dessert tonight!) so the scales often show a higher weight on a Monday but hoping to STS tomorrow. Target for the end of the round is adjusted to maintain this weight (although extra happy if a bit more comes off!). Happy Sunday everyone x
04/07 - 146.4lb (+0.2lb) - I will count this weekend as a success - Up 0.1lb even with Sunday roast last night, a glass of wine too and a few after dinner mints. Looking forward to this week as should be no distractions and aiming for a continued loss over the next 5 days although not going to predict anything as this round has been so bizarre! Good food day planned today although I am at work all day today rather than my usual half day on a Monday so wont get my usual Monday walk in

In for my 6th round, they seem to just fly by. In the beginning no matter how well I did with calories and my exercise I put a pound on, this was disappointing because I was not over eating. Finally started the right direction again which was very pleasing. So hang in there, it will happen in time.
I have one goal, and it is to be 201 by Easter (goal is from another group I am involved in).

04/03 – 185.4 – Still staying at 185. I’ll take a long walk today and just keep plugging away.
04/04 – 185.4 – Actually surprised with this because I went over calories and had 2 margaritas last night. I did get in a long walk though. Back on track today.
04/05 – 185.4 – stuck at this number. I know it isn’t always going to go down. Did have a long walk, so I exercised 3 times this week so far.
04/06 – 184.1 – YEA! Finally movement! I just have to keep with it. My daughter-in-law even mentioned that I had lost weight yesterday. Hopefully going to get a long walk in today, between rain.
04/07 – 183.6 – I hope the scale is right. I weight several times and got different numbers. I didn’t take the long walk yesterday because it was raining all day, but I did stay below my calories.

UGW - somewhere in the mid-130's. Will see what's attainable when I get in the 130's
Goal for round 73 - drop 1 pound. I know the big drop in round 72 was a lot of bloat/water weight since it was my first one. I want to lose at a realistic pace for my current weight. 1 lb every 10 days is sustainable and I have a better chance of keeping it off.
4/3 - 146.2. Well, that stinks. Starting the challenge up. Wins yesterday - squeezed in a weight lifting session even though I didn’t think I would have time (traveled yesterday). Lots of areas for improvement though. Went over my calorie goal thanks to eating out and TOM cravings. Didn’t drink enough water. Goal for today - do not graze all day! I’m working from home and tend to eat all day since I’m close to the kitchen and no one else is home.
4/4 - 146.6 UGH. Wins yesterday - 45 min bodycombat class and long dog walk. That's about it. Didn't drink enough water, had a mini-binge late afternoon. Not a full on binge as I've been known to do, but enough that I went well over my calorie goal. I don't know if it's the restriction/binge cycle popping back up (full disclosure - I've had that issue in the past which is why I took a long break from MFP. After a few weeks of tracking I see it as a restriction and I rebel and binge), or if it's TOM issues, or a little of both. I'm working in the office today so hopefully I'll stick to the food I brought to work. No temptation of my own kitchen like yesterday. Will work on hydration and not bingeing today.
4/5 - 145.9 back in the right direction at least but still over last round’s ending weight. makes me nervous heading into the weekend but I hope it motivates me to focus. Wins yesterday: 45 min RPM class, long dog walk, hydrated well, did not binge, slept well. Area for improvement today - stay within calorie goal. Proud of no bingeing but I was over calorie goal a bit. Working from home again today so I need to stay away from the kitchen.
4/6 - 145.5. Trending down again so that’s good. I’m surprised actually. Wins yesterday - Zumba and a dog walk, hydrated well, slept well. I went over calories and snacked more than I should (which is why I’m surprised the number went down!). I’m going out to dinner with friends tonight. Goal is to not go overboard. Keep up with calories and water intake the rest of the day so dinner doesn’t push me too far over.
4/7 - 144.4. Hello whoosh! Surprised since I went out to dinner last night. But I stayed on plan. Wins yesterday: super hard HIIT class (cardio and weights), didn’t overdo it at a restaurant last night, enjoyed time with friends. Don’t think I drank enough water.
4/8 - 144.0. Pleasantly surprised at another drop! Lowest weight I’ve been in over a year. Wins yesterday: hydrated well, long dog walk and a yoga class, tracked all food. Goal today is to have another day like that where I fully track and stay conscious of my food choices.

4/3 - 230.0 - Walked 2+ miles, yard work, 13754 steps, 56oz water, track, V, AF. The 230 stuck!!! YEAH! Now that I have that number in my head for 2 days in a row I can start tackling the 20s.
4/4 - 230.1 - Walked 1+ miles, bike 15 min, 10305 steps, 48oz water, track, V. WI is a blessing given the snacking I indulged yesterday. Cleaner eating today.
4/5 - 230.4 - Walked 1+ mile morning, walked Ty 1.7 miles, walked 3.5 miles evening. 16258 steps, little water.
4/6 - No scale @ camp - driving to camp, no exercise, 4617 steps, little water
4/7 - No scale @ camp - fishing, no exercise, bad reading on steps due to fishing, little water.

04/03: 184.6 lb. Feeling good about this because last week was a rough week in terms of food consumed. Going to walk on a treadmill this morning and have already planned my food for the day.
04/04: 183.4 lb. Wow! After a straight stressful day at work yesterday and only just meeting my calorie goal on my Garmin, I did not expect this. I am sure some of it is bloat/water, but that is encouraging. I’m working from home today so I will need to be mindful of not snacking in the pantry and sticking to my normally packed snacks for the office. I am also looking forward to my strength workout tonight.
04/05: 183.6 lb. Definitey not bad to be almost status quo from yesterday. I drank a lot of water yesterday (160 oz) and did an intense strength workout. I’m working from home again today and planning on a cardio session tonight at the gym. We are going out tomorrow to a brewery or two with some friends, so I’m not going to eat out tonight like I normally do.
04/06: 183.0 lb. Today’s mantra is going to be moderation. I am going to set a goal for myself to only have one beer at each brewery (or samples equivalent to one drink) today, and plenty of water. I am going to do a lower body workout this morning so that I at least have some exercise minutes to add for the day. I’m also setting the expectation that if my number goes up tomorrow on the scale, that it’s okay and that I’ve had a great week so far overall. Happy Saturday!
04/07: 184.6lb. Honestly, I thought it was going to be much higher, so this was a welcomed number. I stuck to my plan of only having two beers going out yesterday, even though there were waffles, empanadas, and other snacks at the breweries. It’s my rest day today so I took my dog for a long walk this morning and I’ll be sticking to my food plan today for my calories. Spin class tomorrow, so hoping to see a whoosh soon.We’re at the halfway point!
04/08: 185.4 lb Umm... scale, you okay? I feel bloated today so I’m wondering if I’m retaining water. I didn’t drink my normal amount of water yesterday, so that could be it. I won’t let it bother me because my body is sore from my great workouts last week, and I have spin class tonight. Happy Monday!

04/08 - 154.8 - I did not expect this waking up this morning. I've been feeling really bloated and I certainly did not drink enough water this weekend. Also ate out a couple times, especially last night. Tried for portioning it properly and it must have worked. I'm close to my lowest weight on this challenge (I hit 153.something before, but the unhealthy way. Now I'm close the healthy way!)

Lost down to 180 doing lazy keto last spring, but the summer vacations came and then the holidays

I'm keeping my same goals of tracking at least 10,000 steps a day on my Fitbit, going to the gym or working out at home when I have it scheduled on my calendar, and averaging a little under my calorie goals to fit in unexpected treats and/or beers. I'm aiming for a 2 lb. loss again as well.

04/03 187.2 lb Big drop mostly fueled by a busy schedule and little appetite. I missed going to the gym in favor of taking the dog for a longer walk and giving myself a little bit of down time before rehearsal. 11,906 steps were tracked and I'm drinking TONS of water and tea. We're getting take-out for dinner, so I won't be surprised to maintain this weight or see a gain tomorrow morning.
04/04 187.2 lb 12,636 steps were tracked and I came to the conclusion that taking time to change into my walking shoes from my work shoes makes a BIG difference on how far I'm willing to walk my dog. Calories were pretty good, but I needed to guess how many calories were in our dinner, so I'm sure it's off in terms of calories and sodium. The cluttered schedule continues with rehearsals for a different ensemble until 6:00pm and then I need to catch up on some bookkeeping and payroll for the wind ensemble I play in.
04/05 185.4 lb Another drop, but I'm pretty sure it's from some stress I've been feeling at work. 16,174 steps were tracked and calories were way under. I have a workout scheduled on my calendar for this afternoon and then we have opening night for Chicago. The kids are going to be great!
04/06 186.2 lb No workout yesterday. I thought I needed a nap before yesterday's show and twenty minutes turned into two hours. 😂 I tracked 11,197 steps and kept within my calorie goals. We went out for breakfast this morning and I had an acai bowl, croissant, and coffee. I'm planning on cleaning the house and taking the dog for a nice long walk before tonight's show.
04/07 184.4 lb 11,749 steps were tracked and I met my calorie goals. Minor NSV: I turned down some chocolate chip cookies because I knew I was going to have a beer with dinner. More dog walking and cleaning planned for today and we have our final matinee this afternoon.
04/08 185.6 lb I could have definitely had more water yesterday. I meal prepped lunches for the week with rosemary chicken salads ready to go in the fridge. I tracked 11,203 steps and only went over my calories by less than 100 because I wanted some chocolate after dinner. Two small pieces and I was satisfied. I'm looking forward to a busy day with my last after school class on "differentiated instruction" and our last jazz band rehearsal until April vacation.

Had plenty of Fruit & Veg yesterday (An apple for a snack; 1/2 Banana on my breakfast; an onion, 1/2 a cucumber, cherry tomatoes, capers and spinach in my lunch salad & veggie and chicken stirfry for dinner) plenty of fat in my breakfast and lunch. I did go a little OTT with some of those little mousse filled easter eggs from Cadburys, but I had walked 22000 steps after my watch decided to reset itself, after I'd done 9000 and wiped the step data so I had a choice between doing another 12000 to hit my StepBet target or taking an unplanned rest day. I went with doing the extra 12000 and ended up doing just over 14000 in the end. This morning has been pretty active already - cycled into work and then out on the river for an hour to get some more practice in for June's race.

Have been slightly ove-indulging the last couple of days, partly because of the not logging, partly because my exercise has been increasing and my hunger levels haven't settled down yet. Have done well with my goals so far, just need to get back to planning my food ahead for grocery shopping as it's easier to go with a planned list than freestyle it.

Looking forward to a relaxed weekend, having a poker night at my place tonight so having a light lunch today to make room for all the tasty foods my other half will be making for it, have nothing on tomorrow which is probably the first time in weeks, so nice lie in and a couple of nice walks if the weather is nice. Then Sunday I have a training row, so will be rowing for about 2.5 hours. Plan is tomorrow to write up my food plan for next week and pick up the groceries for it.

Shark week started over the weekend and had a lot more starchy carbs than normal so very bloaty as seen by the sudden up-swing in weight. Nailed my 3rd week of StepBet so I am halfway through the challenge now.

04/04: 188.6 Last month around the same time, I stayed the same for about a week. I kinda wonder if it's because I'm ovulating. The timing would be about right, but I don't track my cycle. I'm still eating at a deficit, so here's to hoping it's just ovulation!

Well, harumph. My 10-day ave came down slighty, but yesterday I did have a series of snack attacks - big blueberry muffin + way too many nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews) + 2 Reese's PB cups. Not all at once! No, I spread my indulgences all through the day.Anyway, I'm off for blood work to recheck my inflammation levels and then for a long outdoor walk and then the gym for weights. And grocery for snacky veggies. And I need to drop the habit of eating while I write (I'm a writer/author and have a bad inclination to eat while I work). Gaaa! I really don't know what's gotten into me - it's been 4 years since I started this journey in earnest and I was definitely "in remission" re. sugar and simple carbs and just plain over eating. One thin I can do is go to the library to work - no food allowed! But also no coffee or water.... Anyway, today is another new beginning, right? Right.

Yesterday was a very good day - some exercise, calories in line, macros good, low sugar, no stupid snacking....all good. So this increase is due to 3 crazy high-calorie days out of the past 6. But I feel finally that I'm really back at it - maybe I needed a blow out to find my way back.

Good news for me - yesterday I had blood work to measure inflammation, which I've been fighting for the past 10 months. One measure is now in the normal range, the other just barely over. They were both VERY high last fall. I refused to take prednisone long term, despite a lot of pressure from doctors, and I attribute the improvement to regular exercise and to working toward optimum (rather than "within reference range") levels of vitamins D3, K2, B12, and magnesium. I'm relieved and more hopeful about resolving this for good in the next few months. Oh, and my pain has diminished a lot. Yay!

Well, doesn't look like I'll make my half-round goal tomorrow. Sigh. I'm tempted to go back to the elimination diet - I eliminated pounds on it last summer! We'll see.

04/03 - 283.4 - I completed week 1, day 2 of Zombies, Run! couch to 5K training. I was able to do some longer runs on the free form run at the end; whereas on Monday I was so exhausted I just walked at the end. I have had a busy day. Food has been good, but a little short on breakfast.
04/04 - 282.6 - Yes! Day 2 of a drop. I will do some more walking later doing another episode of Zombies, Run! I had a good breakfast. I have changed up my apples for Halos. I tried a new flavor of yogurt this morning too. It was pretty good. Nutrition class was interesting. We talked about spices and what goes best with what. Looking forward to the rest of the day.
04/05 - 280.0 - WHOOSH! Well, now that was unexpected. Today is a fasting day, just two more after today. I will do an episode of Zombies, Run! later tonight after dinner. I walked to Transitions and back, but don't want to do too much without food in my stomach to keep my blood sugar from dropping too low.
04/06 - 280.0 - Holding steady. Walked in the park using Zombies, Ru! last night. I'm going to doing day 3 of week 1 of couch to 5K of Zombies, Run! 5K training today out in the park before the storms move in. I plan to also do some cleaning on my apartment today. Some other exercises I haven't decided on yet.
04/07 - 279 - Yay! I was glad to see this number. It's my official weigh-in day today so. I walked for an hour yesterday. After the episode for Zombies, Run! ended I kept going for another 20 minutes, just enjoying the music and the New Canton radio hosts banter (it's still part of the app). I completed day 3, week 1 of Zombies, Run! couch to 5K training yesterday as well. I felt very proud about that. I got like 14,000 steps by the end of the day.
04/08 - 281.2 - A fluctuation up. I'm not too worried about it. My sleep was off last night. I think I'm retaining a bit of water as well. Today is Week 2, Day 1 of couch to 5K using Zombies, Run! trainer, and I'm looking forward to it.
