04/03 – 185.4 – Still staying at 185. I’ll take a long walk today and just keep plugging away.
04/04 – 185.4 – Actually surprised with this because I went over calories and had 2 margaritas last night. I did get in a long walk though. Back on track today.
04/05 – 185.4 – stuck at this number. I know it isn’t always going to go down. Did have a long walk, so I exercised 3 times this week so far.
04/06 – 184.1 – YEA! Finally movement! I just have to keep with it. My daughter-in-law even mentioned that I had lost weight yesterday. Hopefully going to get a long walk in today, between rain.
04/07 – 183.6 – I hope the scale is right. I weight several times and got different numbers. I didn’t take the long walk yesterday because it was raining all day, but I did stay below my calories.
04/08 – 184.6 – well, still below 185. No walk yesterday and busy week this week.
04/09 – 185.0 – darn. I did get in a walk but also ate the extra calories.

jlbtnc Posts: 725 MemberIn for my 6th round, they seem to just fly by. In the beginning no matter how well I did with calories and my exercise I put a pound on, this was disappointing because I was not over eating. Finally started the right direction again which was very pleasing. So hang in there, it will happen in time.
I have one goal, and it is to be 201 by Easter (goal is from another group I am involved in).

04/03 94.1kg bit of a drop, caused by a lack of dinner as i was sat in a hairdresser's chair! So I ended up having a hot cross buns for dinner!
04/04 94.7 bounce up was expected! Yesterday was a complete write off. I'm really struggling with things in my life at the moment, and the fact that I can't change things to improve the situation I'm in… so of course I ate a whole pack of mini battenburgs and a pack of biscuits! Ithen intended to get up to go for a run, but forgot to set my alarm! Had thought about not weighing or posting but this is a “warts-n-all” journey, not the Pinterest ready version of my life!
04/05 dnw my graduation day! Not weighing in until monday as I just want to enjoy my moment! It has taken me 16 years to get this far (always taking the long route!) it's still not the end of my journey as I do still have plans for a PhD but I'm taking a bit of time out to find out what direction to take next!
04/06 dnw well yesterday was eventful! The president of Ireland was at our graduation, so my kids bumped into him while running out of the room telling daddy “I need a poooooo”! Then, while Stephen Rae was giving his acceptance speech for his honorary doctorate my kids decided to join him on stage! My 3 yr old went for a run while my 4 yr old tried to catch him and kept telling the people on stage “sorry, I'm just getting him back to daddy”! So I get the task of going up to the stage to pick them up! Then daddy removed them with a chorus of “love you mummy” from both boys! Absolutely hilarious! Can't wait to gatecrash their graduations!
04/07 dnw last day off! Kinda worried how bad this will be… pizza, chocolate, prosecco, strawberries and cream, Danish pastries… Mentally getting myself ready to attack next week!
04/08 95.5 ok… not actually as bad as I thought! No run this morning as both boys are sick again so I was up with 3yr old until 2am. Might go for a walk when husband comes in from work! Goals are now changed, I just want to get through the next 5 days sticking to my food plan!
Congrats on graduating!!!!7

04/09 - 155.6 - Expected this. Dinner was a little salty (new recipe a friend made for us), a beer (fit into goals but still), and I've got some serious soreness. I worked out for the first time this year and boy do I feel it today. But I'm okay with these little blips knowing exactly why its happening. And NSV: I woke up admiring my body this morning. Its not where I want it, but I don't feel so bloated which is a wonderful feeling I've forgotten. Makes me appreciate my body more instead of waking up feeling like a whale. I GET MY "NEW" FITBIT TODAY. I'm so excited. I took ya'll's advice and found one I can use that won't break the bank. And this one is the HR which I definitely couldn't afford. So excited to track my steps at work again which will help with my calorie goals (I'm guessing my walking based on past averages and my workouts based on several averaged numbers so that I can adjust water and food intake)
Lost down to 180 doing lazy keto last spring, but the summer vacations came and then the holidays
and I put all of the weight back on. I am going to be consistant with tracking my food...good or bad...and
get healthier this year.

I will be going out of town at the end of this round and again over Easter weekend, so April will be fun,
but a struggle weight wise.
04/03 191.0 Walked 13,000 steps yesterday and drank my water. Stuck to my plan, but had a glass of wine.
04/04 189.6 Yay! Let's keep moving down!
04/05 189.2 Planning to keep this downward trend going over the weekend. Want to get well into the 80's before my trip next weekend.
04/07 188.0 Walked 5 miles around the lake and did good with my food. Drank some wine by the fire pit, though......
04/09 190.2 Nooooooooooo! Probably just my body readjusting. Will keep plugging along....
Second round! I'm keeping my same goals of tracking at least 10,000 steps a day on my Fitbit, going to the gym or working out at home when I have it scheduled on my calendar, and averaging a little under my calorie goals to fit in unexpected treats and/or beers. I'm aiming for a 2 lb. loss again as well.

R73 SW 188.4 lb EW TBD
GW: 160 lb (I'll probably re-evaluate when I get there, but I remember being pretty comfortable at that weight)
04/03 187.2 lb Big drop mostly fueled by a busy schedule and little appetite. I missed going to the gym in favor of taking the dog for a longer walk and giving myself a little bit of down time before rehearsal. 11,906 steps were tracked and I'm drinking TONS of water and tea. We're getting take-out for dinner, so I won't be surprised to maintain this weight or see a gain tomorrow morning.
04/04 187.2 lb 12,636 steps were tracked and I came to the conclusion that taking time to change into my walking shoes from my work shoes makes a BIG difference on how far I'm willing to walk my dog. Calories were pretty good, but I needed to guess how many calories were in our dinner, so I'm sure it's off in terms of calories and sodium. The cluttered schedule continues with rehearsals for a different ensemble until 6:00pm and then I need to catch up on some bookkeeping and payroll for the wind ensemble I play in.
04/05 185.4 lb Another drop, but I'm pretty sure it's from some stress I've been feeling at work. 16,174 steps were tracked and calories were way under. I have a workout scheduled on my calendar for this afternoon and then we have opening night for Chicago. The kids are going to be great!
04/06 186.2 lb No workout yesterday. I thought I needed a nap before yesterday's show and twenty minutes turned into two hours. 😂 I tracked 11,197 steps and kept within my calorie goals. We went out for breakfast this morning and I had an acai bowl, croissant, and coffee. I'm planning on cleaning the house and taking the dog for a nice long walk before tonight's show.
04/07 184.4 lb 11,749 steps were tracked and I met my calorie goals. Minor NSV: I turned down some chocolate chip cookies because I knew I was going to have a beer with dinner. More dog walking and cleaning planned for today and we have our final matinee this afternoon.
04/08 185.6 lb I could have definitely had more water yesterday. I meal prepped lunches for the week with rosemary chicken salads ready to go in the fridge. I tracked 11,203 steps and only went over my calories by less than 100 because I wanted some chocolate after dinner. Two small pieces and I was satisfied. I'm looking forward to a busy day with my last after school class on "differentiated instruction" and our last jazz band rehearsal until April vacation.
04/09 184.4 lb Just barely made my step goal with 10,601 steps. Calories looked good and I drank a bunch of water and tea. I'm planning on fitting in Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred today after work and before a budget meeting. After that, the dog gets her nails trimmed and gets a good walk. The boyfriend is providing dinner tonight, so I'm keeping lunch light and loading up on water and tea because he likes to get take-out. I'd like to see this weight show up again (or maybe see something a little lower!) tomorrow.
I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

Apr 3 - 179.8 - II am struggling to stay disciplined and determined. I lost my job in December and the stress is starting to get to me. I am hoping with the nicer weather we are expected to have this round that I will feel better about getting out and walking.
Apr 4 - 182.4 - I need to get my head in the game again, right now I’m not even playing with shoes on! I have a doctors appointment today to see what is wrong with my rib, hopefully she’ll give me the cure I need for that and I can get back to it.
Apr 5 - 180.2 I have a viral infection that affects the cartridge that attaches to the ribs. I had this in January and apparently it can take up to a year to full get rid of. I didn’t realize it was the same thing as it’s in another area on my ribs. Healthier day yesterday, but still no exercise.
Apr 6 - 181.2 - I need to get in gear. This is going in the wrong direction completely!
Apr 7 - 182.3 - I got into chips yesterday and tacos so this is expected. The sun is shining this morning, it’s supposed to hit 13 for a temp today and stay that way all week, so hopefully I can kick this cold to the curb and get out walking each day.
Apr 8 - 181.8 - had a good day yesterday and even though I didn’t feel good I went for a long walk. Now to repeat it today.
Apr 9 - 181.4 - a fair day yesterday, not the best, but not terrible. My cold is starting to get better and so are my ribs. Hopefully today I can find time for another walk.

04/03 171.6 Good morning everyone! I took a much needed rest day yesterday. I'm working today and getting in an upper body workout tonight. Make today a good one!
04/04 172.6 Hmm I was on track with calories and macros and I did get an upper body workout. Had lots of water. Sleep was poop though.
04/05 172.4 I feel like I'm retaining water this morning. That time is coming up in just a few days. I'm so ready for the weekend!
04/06 172 It was such a nice day at work yesterday! For the first time in a long time I didn’t feel super stressed. Then I came home and got in a Fitness Blender Workout and had a relaxing evening at home. So good!
04/07 172 I had a pretty nice day yesterday. We were going to go to a parade but it was windy and rainy so we decided against it. Today, it's church and getting some things done around home.
I was super hungry yesterday. I'm due to start any day now, so I'm trying an experiment! I'm going to eat at maintenance for a couple of days and see how that goes.
04/08 172.6 Not bad considering TOM started! I probably picked the wrong time to eat at maintenance. I did it yesterday, but it was surprisingly difficult. My appetite wasn't as big as the day before. So I'm back to normal today. Happy Monday everyone, let's make this a great week!
04/09 173.2 I'm thinking this is a combination of Sunday and time of month. I'm hoping to at least end this challenge where I started it!
Figuring out how to do this in maintenance! Bare with me.

By the time I got home from work yesterday at 6:30 I was so tired that I was asleep by 7:30. So I didn't eat enough calories but I did get 9 1/2 hours of sleep!
I'm going to a wine etiquette event for young professionals tonight. I am really looking forward to it and having the wiggle room to enjoy the wine and food. I just have to remind myself it takes 3,500 excess calories to put on a pound of fat. So I have no need to worry every time I go to an event that I'm going to blow myself out of maintenance. If the rain stops early I'll go for a jog before I head out for the night

Yesterday I forgot to put my fitbit back on so no step data. And this morning I couldn't weigh first thing, as I was sleeping over at a friend's house. So the weight I posted is after a big breakfast sandwich and 3 cups of coffee. I'm surprised it's not more but I think I'm pretty dehydrated, so I'll probably see a jump tomorrow 😂. Either way I didn't put it in my trend line app because I don't want to distort the data, so no trend today. Onward and upward!

Still no trend data as I didn't sleep at home again last night and that weight is from just now (4:00pm! So again I didn't put it in my app). I cannot believe my weight is this low, but the scale has fresh batteries. And yesterday was crazy food-wise, that's why I didn't even log, although I plan on doing so later today just to keep my streak going. After the big breakfast sandwich I had steak and potatoes for lunch-dinner, then at the movies I had a whole box of junior mints, then when I got home I had a brownie sundae. I guess this is what maintenance feels like. Stable weight, with insane food variances. Today I have eaten very little which I think also contributes. It's so nice to be in a place of not having to insane in my food control and allowing for the space to enjoy life.
I feel really grateful for this group. If it wasn't for JGM10D, I wouldn't have had the courage to weigh myself today and this could have turned into a *screw it* day, where I just eat every thing. But this group not only keeps me accountable, it got me in the habit of reading the forums daily which led me to reading how the long time maintainers orient their lives.

Yay for meeting activity goals yesterday!
Now for what needs improvement: I am now well out of my goal range so I need to reorient my maintenance plan. Last week I purposely ate about 100-200 cals under maintenance to bank calories for the weekend (thinking I would have a weekend gain), but I lost weight while not tracking. So now I need to go back to making an effort to eat more. It's challenging to change my mode of thinking in terms of calories and deficit, but I don't want to lose anymore weight. Today my goal is to eat 2000 calories!

SW - 150.1 (starting on 3/25)
Ending weight round 72 - 145.3
UGW - somewhere in the mid-130's. Will see what's attainable when I get in the 130's
Goal for round 73 - drop 1 pound. I know the big drop in round 72 was a lot of bloat/water weight since it was my first one. I want to lose at a realistic pace for my current weight. 1 lb every 10 days is sustainable and I have a better chance of keeping it off.
4/3 - 146.2. Well, that stinks. Starting the challenge up. Wins yesterday - squeezed in a weight lifting session even though I didn’t think I would have time (traveled yesterday). Lots of areas for improvement though. Went over my calorie goal thanks to eating out and TOM cravings. Didn’t drink enough water. Goal for today - do not graze all day! I’m working from home and tend to eat all day since I’m close to the kitchen and no one else is home.
4/4 - 146.6 UGH. Wins yesterday - 45 min bodycombat class and long dog walk. That's about it. Didn't drink enough water, had a mini-binge late afternoon. Not a full on binge as I've been known to do, but enough that I went well over my calorie goal. I don't know if it's the restriction/binge cycle popping back up (full disclosure - I've had that issue in the past which is why I took a long break from MFP. After a few weeks of tracking I see it as a restriction and I rebel and binge), or if it's TOM issues, or a little of both. I'm working in the office today so hopefully I'll stick to the food I brought to work. No temptation of my own kitchen like yesterday. Will work on hydration and not bingeing today.
4/5 - 145.9 back in the right direction at least but still over last round’s ending weight. makes me nervous heading into the weekend but I hope it motivates me to focus. Wins yesterday: 45 min RPM class, long dog walk, hydrated well, did not binge, slept well. Area for improvement today - stay within calorie goal. Proud of no bingeing but I was over calorie goal a bit. Working from home again today so I need to stay away from the kitchen.
4/6 - 145.5. Trending down again so that’s good. I’m surprised actually. Wins yesterday - Zumba and a dog walk, hydrated well, slept well. I went over calories and snacked more than I should (which is why I’m surprised the number went down!). I’m going out to dinner with friends tonight. Goal is to not go overboard. Keep up with calories and water intake the rest of the day so dinner doesn’t push me too far over.
4/7 - 144.4. Hello whoosh! Surprised since I went out to dinner last night. But I stayed on plan. Wins yesterday: super hard HIIT class (cardio and weights), didn’t overdo it at a restaurant last night, enjoyed time with friends. Don’t think I drank enough water.
4/8 - 144.0. Pleasantly surprised at another drop! Lowest weight I’ve been in over a year. Wins yesterday: hydrated well, long dog walk and a yoga class, tracked all food. Goal today is to have another day like that where I fully track and stay conscious of my food choices.
4/9 144.4. Back up a little, not horrible but sad to see a little uptick. Wins yesterday: 4.4 mile run (ran for time instead of distance, so 40 minutes), pretty good hydration, got a decent night's sleep, tracked all my food. Areas for improvement: could hydrate better. And most importantly, I snacked too much and went over my calorie goal. The fatigue of tracking and that "restriction" feeling is hitting me this morning so I'm working through. I'm telling myself how much better I feel after losing these few pounds over the last month and that it will all be worth it.
You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. - John C. MaxwellMy goal for 2019 is to get into ONEderland. Changing my life.
- Find workout routine that works (walk, bike, planks, yoga, swim, take advantage of retirement to be more active); target 70k steps per week
- Drink more water (target min 64 oz daily; start with 1 glass before coffee)
- Journal Food Daily (tracking with MFP since 12/28/2018)
- Daily Vitamins (Dr’s orders; need to not ignore)
- Drink less alcohol (4 AF days per week; ~16 AF days per month; limit 1-2 glasses per day)

Round 73: This round I need to focused period! Reminder to self to pick back up my tracking streak and monitor daily, reduce snacking on poor choices, drink more water and be active every day in some way shape or form!
🎯Mini Goal: 225 by end of April
Posting weight each morning, and comments for the previous day.
4/3 - 230.0 - Walked 2+ miles, yard work, 13754 steps, 56oz water, track, V, AF. The 230 stuck!!! YEAH! Now that I have that number in my head for 2 days in a row I can start tackling the 20s.
4/4 - 230.1 - Walked 1+ miles, bike 15 min, 10305 steps, 48oz water, track, V. WI is a blessing given the snacking I indulged yesterday. Cleaner eating today.
4/5 - 230.4 - Walked 1+ mile morning, walked Ty 1.7 miles, walked 3.5 miles evening. 16258 steps, little water.
4/6 - No scale @ camp - driving to camp, no exercise, 4617 steps, little water
4/7 - No scale @ camp - fishing, no exercise, bad reading on steps due to fishing, little water.
4/8 - 231.4 - Up a pound … not good! Need to refocus on walking routine, water and journalling. Yesterday walked 1+ miles, day in car driving, 5928 steps, not enough water, AF.
4/9 - 230.9 - walked 3+ miles last 1 mile during evening without apple watch so steps are off, 15 bike, 12664 steps, 64oz water, V, AP
Trying to overcome the weekend gain and get back to where I at least started this round!14
04/03: 184.6 lb. Feeling good about this because last week was a rough week in terms of food consumed. Going to walk on a treadmill this morning and have already planned my food for the day.
04/04: 183.4 lb. Wow! After a straight stressful day at work yesterday and only just meeting my calorie goal on my Garmin, I did not expect this. I am sure some of it is bloat/water, but that is encouraging. I’m working from home today so I will need to be mindful of not snacking in the pantry and sticking to my normally packed snacks for the office. I am also looking forward to my strength workout tonight.
04/05: 183.6 lb. Definitey not bad to be almost status quo from yesterday. I drank a lot of water yesterday (160 oz) and did an intense strength workout. I’m working from home again today and planning on a cardio session tonight at the gym. We are going out tomorrow to a brewery or two with some friends, so I’m not going to eat out tonight like I normally do.
04/06: 183.0 lb. Today’s mantra is going to be moderation. I am going to set a goal for myself to only have one beer at each brewery (or samples equivalent to one drink) today, and plenty of water. I am going to do a lower body workout this morning so that I at least have some exercise minutes to add for the day. I’m also setting the expectation that if my number goes up tomorrow on the scale, that it’s okay and that I’ve had a great week so far overall. Happy Saturday!
04/07: 184.6lb. Honestly, I thought it was going to be much higher, so this was a welcomed number. I stuck to my plan of only having two beers going out yesterday, even though there were waffles, empanadas, and other snacks at the breweries. It’s my rest day today so I took my dog for a long walk this morning and I’ll be sticking to my food plan today for my calories. Spin class tomorrow, so hoping to see a whoosh soon. We’re at the halfway point!
04/08: 185.4 lb Umm... scale, you okay? I feel bloated today so I’m wondering if I’m retaining water. I didn’t drink my normal amount of water yesterday, so that could be it. I won’t let it bother me because my body is sore from my great workouts last week, and I have spin class tonight. Happy Monday!
04/09: 185.2 lb Going back in the right direction after a terrible binge of Cadbury mini eggs and skipping spin. I thought this number was going to skyrocket but was happy to see it down from yesterday. Back on track today. Started the morning with a 2.10 mile walk with my dog using the Zombies, Run! app, and will do arms and shoulders tonight.
R73 SW 187.2

04/03 184.8 the restart woosh
04/04 183.8 the woosh continued!
04/05 182.6 one of the pluses about having kids on the spectrum is that there are worries other parents have that you don't have. Yesterday DS turned 19, legal drinking age here. We had sushi, one glass of wine and some chocolate cake then we went for a long walk. So I burned off all the cake calories, and at the end of the night I knew where he was, safe and sound in his own home talking about video games with his brother.
04/06 183.6 mea culpa - did the stress eating thing again - back on track today started with a workout
04/07 184.4 that's Ok Unexpected visit from out of town family and dinner at a french restaurant. Skipped the wine but did share DH's creme brulee (a rare indulgence and totally worth it) no more special events now until Easter.
04/08 DNW woke up late and forgot to weigh
04/09 185.4 Wrong direction! long walk with DS last night and a workout this morning so hopefully a better number tomorrow.

4/3 - 182.0 - Was home with a sick kiddo so my whole workout schedule got pushed out and I have to work out after work instead of at lunch, but I'm not skipping any of my workouts!! lifted weights last night and yoga/pilates class tonight!
4/4 - 182.6 - Stayed within my calories, but I ate late bc of yoga. Last week I had an uptick after this as well. Also focusing on drinking my water today. Lifted Weights.
4/5 - 182.7 - Still hanging around here. Waiting on my whoosh! I couldn't do any hour long walks this week due to making up hours at work. Hope to get a little walk in this evening and can't wait to get back in my normal routine next week. Think it will help a lot.
4/6 - 181.5! Woosh. Lifting weights. Maybe a streaming spin workout on the bike?
4/7 - 181.7 - Fixed up my bike and did 5 miles at the park. + Dog walk.
4/8 - 180.7 - Lifting weights at lunch and then yoga tonight.
4/9 - 180.3 - Woke up at 5:30am to ride my bike because I can't walk over lunch today. Can't believe I actually made it out of bed to workout. Lol. But the bike thing is new and fun for now, so I'm going with it. Water consumption has not been great so I'm really trying to increase that.

04/03 177.7 I have been around the same weight for more than 2 months. My exercise is better than it's ever been in my life. I haven't been over calories more than 3 or 4 days in that time period. It makes no sense to me. I feel like a fraud when people mention my weight loss. I want to scream yes, I was doing very well but now I'm seriously stuck. My stress level isn't particularly higher than any other time. I'm traveling a lot for work, but no more than I did last year. I'm getting as much sleep and water as I was before. Really I can't figure out what's changed. It's like I hit the midway point and my body said - nope this is good enough for you.
04/04 179.9 I know I didn't gain 2 pounds overnight. I did the circuit training for an hour, came home to work in the yard for an hour. I had a salad and a bowl of soup for dinner. My calorie goal is now 1640 and I came in at 1556. I didn't even hit my calorie goal much less eat back any workout calories. I've had a little cold for a week or so, maybe that's something. I woke up a little achy all over I wasn't sure if it was the cold or the yard work, which uses different muscles than the gym apparently. I felt like giving up when I saw that number this morning. To hell with it all, let's go get pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Instead I came to work and had oatmeal. I'll have a sensible sandwich and some veggies for lunch. Blah blah blah What's that they say about insanity... doing the same things over and over again expecting a different result.
EDIT: Obviously feeling sorry for myself. I apologize for the whining.
04/05 176.4 Three and a half pounds gone in one day. Whoosh! I am sorry I am such a downer lately, it's just so frustrating. I got some other news that might make a difference as well. The app I use, Mapmyfitness, updated the way they calculate calorie burns and it's considerably lower. I hope this makes a difference. Maybe speed things up. I got in 4 fast miles yesterday (fast for me 1:05). I've also been doing a plank challenge. Five minutes in 30 days. Last night was 40 seconds, tonight 50 seconds. I don't think it burns many calories but it can't hurt either.
04/06 174.2 Whoosh again! You know you’ve been retaining water when you lose 5.7 pounds in two days. I had a short walk yesterday and an hour in the yard. Winter did a number on my old trees; I had an estimate of $700 to clean it up. Instead I’ll clean it up and burn calories!!!
04/07 174.5 I’m happy with that. I worked in the yard for 4 hours yesterday, I was exhausted last night. Ate well within calories and had a good day. I was hoping to spend another couple of hours but it rained like crazy last night. It’s going to be too muddy to do much.
04/08 176.2 My sodium was in check yesterday though I ate at maintenance. I got in a 3.5 mile walk and assume this little jump will go away soon. I do have a four hour drive tomorrow, if the weather holds out I'll get a good walk on the pretty trail. Instead of going to the gym today I think I'm going to work in the yard. I don't have 4 hours of work left but I could probably get in 2 or 3 without too much trouble.
04/09 175.8 Back down a little. I did work in the yard for almost 2 hours but then had to run an errand and didn't get back to it. It's a beautiful beautiful day and I'm really looking forward to my walk along the river half way thru the drive. Happy sunny Tuesday to everyone.
