My order hasn't arrived yet, but I am obsessing about my order of rib eye steaks from retired dairy cows being delivered on Thursday. This is a tradition in northern Spain (Basqueland and Galicia) to put menopausal cows to pasture for a year to fatten up and then serve as high end steaks. Apparently the flavour of older animals is far superior than the typical beef cattle slaughtered at 28 months. It is a more sustainable way to eat beef too. Google Txuleton steak if you are interested. I ordered an import from Basqueland, but now see there are online suppliers of organic free range retired dairy beef in the UK too. I hope I like this. Trade off for flavour is tenderness, apparently.
Kumquats, I've always seen them around but had never tried them until a few days ago, they might just be my favorite fruit. I did not expect to like them this much.

Yes! I love it steamed too or microwaved or cooked in a pan and topped with tomato sauce and parm.
