Dunno if this helps, but I found:

On June 1, 2015, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed SB 339, which allows the use of cannabis oil that is no more than 0.5% THC and at least 10% CBD for the treatment of intractable epilepsy. The bill requires patients to get approval from two certified specialists.

Governor Abbot stated: "There is currently no cure for intractable epilepsy and many patients have had little to no success with currently approved drugs. However, we have seen promising results from CBD oil testing and with the passage of this legislation, there is now hope for thousands of families who deal with the effects of intractable epilepsy every day."

Gov. Abbott signed HB 3703 on June 14, 2019, expanding the approved conditions to include medical seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, spasticity, terminal cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Huntington's, autism, and ALS.

The law as written requires physicians to "prescribe" CBD, which would break federal law. States with legal programs allow doctors to "recommend" as opposed to prescribe. However, the Texas Compassionate Use Program says that "prescription" is defined as "an entry in the compassionate-use registry" and three dispensing organizations were licensed by Dec. 15, 2017.

My new scale is mean. It syncs to my Fitbit. After setting it up -- yeah, it takes set-up -- I tested it, and it tells me I weigh 5 more lbs than I did this morning. I am going to assume that's because it's the end of the day, and maybe a natural variation between scales, but still ... not cool. ;)

Michelle Minn -Thank you so much he has so much even Dementia so finding out the laws first are key since we have family that’s law enforcement. Will keep looking for other alternatives best we can. So hard since one think may help back pain but not a seizure etc etc. The med he was on covered them all.Now multiple things to fix each separately. Will figure it out like usual gotta keep trucking even if the rigs on fire 🔥 lol (Dad was a trucker while in college we have a lot of those sayings)

Hi ladies. Boy is it hot and humid here! The heat index is 107. The only thing I did was to venture out for a 90 minute facial. OMG was that heavenly! I came home and slept for 2 hours, right through my alarm, a phone call, and three texts~!

Carol: I hope your knee exercises work. My knee has really been hurting the last few days. I’m trying acetic acid iontophoresis which is supposed to dissolve bone chips. I really don’t want to have to have them removed.

Heather: waving back! I’m jealous of your travels! I was glad to read your husband wears hats. More people should! I have about 15 of them and only wear them on very special occasions. I do have one fedora-type hat that goes with my fall-winter coat, so I do wear that. For my birthday, my BFF got me a black fascinator. Now if I could only find a mint julep and a horse race!

Rori: I’m glad hubby hasn’t had anymore fainting spells! I hope the VA comes through with the hearing aids. Being a full-time caregiver is quite stressful (as you know!) so be sure to continue taking care of yourself! I watch some of the soccer and those gals are amazing!

Debby: I sure hope Radar is ok!

Viv: I could have written that too! Fortunately I am seeing more and more of that old self these days.

    Pip: sweet babies!

Sue: I hope Tootsie is ok!

TerriRichard: I’m so sorry for your loss!

    Allie: happy birthday!

KJ: lovely to hang out with the birds all day!

Matchka: you look lovely in that photo. I love the hair color!

Amber: I agree that opioid abuse is a huge problem, but some people need it. I hope your dad gets relief. It’s not the same I know, but CBD lotion has helped my knee somewhat if I use it regularly. Maybe it will take a combination of things.

Well ladies. It’s after 830 and I need to eat. Not hungry but don’t want a blood sugar drop! Take care, Meg from the sauna….er...I mean Omaha

Did Jillian Michaels Killer Arms and Back. It was good, I wouldn’t mind getting the rest of her DVD’s in this series. The plan for tomorrow is to do Leslie Sansone’s 5 Day Slim Down DVD.

This morning made rice krispie bars for Vince, then we cut up some wood, I went in the pool, came in and made brownies for Vince, church tonight then I’ll probably make some catfish for us to have later in the week. Might also make the dough for chocolate chip cookies which I will bake tomorrow. Used one brand of marshmallows (that I’d never used) and they didn’t melt but they got like caramel. Then another kind that I’d never used and they didn’t melt. So I ran to Food Lion and got Kraft that I know melt. Believe it or not, they don’t carry the mini marshmallows so I got these s’more ones that were on sale. Update: those brownies turned out VERY dry. In looking at the recipe more closely, looks like I only added 2 eggs instead of three. Oops! Well, I made different brownies for him. Made the catfish.

Heather –When I watch football I like watching those guys in their tight pants running around the field. Don’t ask me the first thing about the game, but I can tell you who has the nicest uniforms. That’s my extent of sports. I always have the fan on when I exercise. That’s the only time I don’t mind having something blowing on me. Thanks for telling us about Penny. Wonder where she is and what she’s up to?

    Happy Birthday Allie

Seems Jess has decided to go the rental truck route for moving out to Iowa. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that it was cheaper than a Pod.

Bananas – have fun at the beach.

Sharon – well said to Allie

Sharon– just checked and our pool is 90. No wonder it wasn’t refreshing today. The kiddie pool is cooler???? I would have thought just the opposite. Do they maybe have some sort of waterfall?

@exermom I thought I was the only person who watched football for the tight pants. Sometimes it’s kind of fun to watch men behave ridiculously. The pool is 90 degrees! That might as well be a bath tub.

@MichelleMinn I read a journal article just last night about when to weigh yourself. This was a scholarly publication. Our body weight can fluctuate 3-8 pounds between morning and night. I thought 8 was a bit extreme. It is influenced by weather, water intake, salt content and many other factors. If I can find the link, I’ll post it. Basically it said weigh in the morning and in the buff.

Heather UK: We had a rose like that in our first house. It was planted by our next door neighbour, but it tended to grow through our hedge to where the sunny side was. I thought she was a really good friend, but one year, we came back from holiday and whole lot was dead. The neighbour had cut it off at the root, but left all the growth with the flowers. I pulled it all out and presented it to her in a plastic bag. She looked so embarrassed.

:(<3 I am so sorry, Pip! You and Kirby were her people; just as she was yours. I hope her passing was gentle and easy for her. Sending you all lots of love! <3
