I will be back for another round. It will be 1 year on mfp on 7/7 and I honestly thought I would have been at my ultimate goal weight by now. Unfortunately I am not and I still have about 7-8 pounds to go. I have lost 33 pounds though and am very happy with that. I have revised my goal weight a couple of times, but am firm at 138 (at least for right now,lol) I am doing 14 days with no alcohol to see if this is what is slowing my progress down. I am also recovering from a pretty bad infection and still on antibiotics from a stupid spider bite. So maybe I will have a really big whoosh this round! Maybe, fingers crossed!

7/02: 145.9 back down to Sundays weight. Good day yesterday with calories and water. Still no alcohol and still no major changes in weight loss. 6 more days to go. We will see what happens. 2 more pounds and I will be "normal" BMI.
7/03: 145.9 still here. We did eat Sonic last night for dinner, but I did not eat the bun and only half my tater tots, so I stayed within my calories. I had also only eaten about 400 calories during the day because I knew we would probably grab something on the go last night. Still no alcohol and plenty of water, so on track for this week so far.
7/04: 145.9 this has been my weight 4 days out of the last 5. Still no alcohol and at a deficit. Going hiking this am with my hubby and hopefully will see a drop tomorrow.
7/05: 146.7 ate at maintenance yesterday so I guess that means a spike up today. Woke up super thirsty with really dry lips, so maybe not enough water yesterday. 11 days no alcohol and not any changes in weight. I’m about to throw in the towel on this no alcohol for 2 weeks thing. I really thought I would have seen at least a pound or maybe 2 pound loss to kick me into overdrive, but I have lost 4/10 of a pound in 2 weeks with a large deficit. I’m sticking with it today still, we will see how I feel tomorrow.
7/06: 146.4 still up a bit, but ate at maintenance again yesterday. Oh well, we went to the movies and I stayed away from the popcorn and beer. I took a small bag of peanuts that I snacked on and had water. The new Spider Man was really good though. We are having a bbq tonight and getting the UFC fights. We have 3 people from NM fighting so it’s going to be a big one for us. We will see how I do tonight!
7/07: 148.1 gave in last night and had some beers during the fights. So totally expected this to be up. I did 12 days without alcohol and it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference in my weight loss rate. I’ve pretty much lost about 1/2 pound a week consistently. My trend is the lowest it’s ever been, so I’m looking at the wins. I should be back down tomorrow or the next day. Lots of water and flushing the liquor out of my system scheduled for today and back to work tomorrow.
7/08: 148.9 did well yesterday, but was really hung over most it, so not a lot of activity. Note to self: when I am so strict for to long I tend to overindulge. Am on track for today and will be back down tomorrow. Almost caught up with every bodies post, but still a couple more pages to go. The holidays throw me off track and I can't stay current, but it seems like everybody made it through the holidays without to much damage. 3 more days to get back down to 145.9, hopefully a little lower at least. Not terrible for a 4 day weekend though, I have had and done worse.
7/09: 147.6 down a bit from the weekend, but still have 1.7 lbs to go to get back to my start weight. Would like to see a new low this round, but we only have 2 days left so that may not happen. Stayed way under calories yesterday and drank a ton of water. On track for today so far and we will see what happens tomorrow.

07/02 143.8 starting the round the same as the end of the round, which is a better than last round. Going to a barre class today. I find them kind of boring, but muscles burn so I think it works and instructor is really good at adjusting.
07/03 143.7 took a barre class yesterday and really enjoyed it (still boring but feels great to stretch and I can do most of the moves) so will be adding that 3 times a week (more strength based than my usual workout)
07/04 143.7 my parents are leaving for a month on Friday on vacation so went to a very nice restaurant with them (prix fix) so did go over calories, but it was a once in a lifetime type of experience so is worth a slight stall in weight. Today I’m going to a barre class and eating light before going to a buffet dinner with family with a fireworks watching area. Hope everyone has a great celebration today!!
07/05 143.7, apparently my body really likes this number! I’ll take it though since I did have a full burger with ketchup and mustard last night and a few different salad options. I also had two gin and sodas, so stayed within calorie range if added all exercise back in. Today, I’m going to try hot yoga for the first time. The same instructor who taught barre yesterday is subbing for that class and she was really good at modifications. I’m not as sore as I thought I would be after barre . With elliptical I usually never take a break, but will take one on Sunday since I’m worried with all of the muscle classes I might overdo it and be out for longer than I want.
07/06 143.6, going to do a morning workout, catch a movie, run some errands and home in the afternoon to do some house cleaning.
07/07 143.4, yesterday’s class was the hardest I’ve ever taken and honestly was so painful after (no modifications and didn’t stretch enough) that I don’t think I’ll do that ever (or at least until I’m closer to my goal). I planned to take today off so will keep eating in check. Happy to be on the other side of 143 going into this week, which is my TOM
07/08 143.3, should be a typical Monday. I’m going to my tennis group lesson, but still very sore so this should be interesting. Thankfully, it’s a beginning class so hopefully I won’t have to run too much.
07/09 143.2, still sore from Saturday, but feeling better so will go to gym and do an elliptical workout. I’ve been watching the reboot of Dynasty on Netflix on the machine so hope to be done with the season by the end of the month. A good way to get me to the gym if I only watch a particular show there! I was watching Episodes but it has adult content and I get self conscious watching something risqué at a YMCA!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Mini Intro & RoutineHi. I'm a 29yr 5' 4" female from Spokane, Wa. I've had too many cheat days lately, and need to get back on track & keep myself accountable.
My current motivation is fitting old clothes and being able to actually dress up this Halloween, but I'm hoping to be slim and fit by my wedding next year.
Doing low carb 18:6 IF. I go to the gym 2-3 times per week, and either walk or do yard work on my weekends.

July 4 - 160.8 A satisfying drop! Had a red bull Italian Soda and even a little wine, and I'm still getting closer. Haven't been 160lbs since February of 2018!
July 5 - 163 Discouraging. Had dinner at a friend's house for the 4th, and now I gotta fix my mess from all the carbs and water retention. Ugh. Fasting until tomorrow and drinking tons of water.
July 6 - 163 Still sitting at a higher number. Hoping it goes back down, soon.

07/02: DNW Out of Town
07/03: DNW Flew back from the UK today, so long day with lots of sitting and eating. Couldn't wait to have a big salad at dinner and get some exercise in on the elliptical! Will weigh tomorrow, but expect weight will be up as usually retain water/feel bloated after long flights, not to mention being out of town and eating out for the last 6 days. Hope weight is not too far off from where I left off at end of last round (138.8). Will be going out of town with family after the 4th for the weekend so will start back at the gym consistently next Monday.
07/04: 139.4 Yep weight up from where it was at the end of last round, but only 0.7 pounds, so I'll take that as a success given all the eating out/drinking and long travel day. Rained out of going to the pool (although I rarely swim laps) so did find time to get in an elliptical workout and free weights and had a pretty good workout at home! Will see what tomorrow brings.
07/05: 138.2 Woohoo! Whoosh to get rid of fluid build up after travel! Below ending weight from last round!
Up early today so got in a cardio workout on elliptical at home, then time to pack up with family for long weekend sailing. Won't have much in the way of cardio, but will try to keep active! Only one dinner out (which will likely involve pasta) so will enjoy 'cause there is always Monday to hit the gym!

07/08 136.6 Woohoo! big drop over the holiday weekend is nice and trends indicate that I am back on target after overseas trip. Not to mention that this is below my goal weight for this round!!! Really tried to stay semi-active over the weekend: sailing, some running intervals with the dog, playing sharks and minnows with the kids and tried to watch food calories; having only one meal out helped a lot as I prepared the rest. Great 45 minutes on elliptical to Apple Music 90's workout mix (best workout so far for staying in the peak zone!) when we got back home last night, and then spin class for 45 minutes and strength training lower body this am to get back in the groove at the gym. Hope this "whoosh" stays with me for the rest of the round but won't be surprised if there is a gain tomorrow after the heavy leg workout today which often results in water retention.
07/09 136.7 As expected a gain, although 0.1 pounds is in the noise - so happy to see that the bump was not any bigger! This am did full hour+ of upper body strength training - usual machines plus added in bench press, overhead/military press, and up-right row with barbell on the smith machine (no real barbells at gym). Back to the gym this evening for 30 minutes of cardio on the spin bike and then 45 minute pilates class for core and more stretching. Feeling more DOMS in legs so may have water retention tomorrow (hope weight is stable for end of round as still below goal!). Food should be fine for the day - lunch calories are approximate for sashimi, greens, seaweed salad, and other vegetables as guesstimating portions, but dinner was homemade turkey burgers with mint, basil, ginger, and kaffir lime leaves (minced young leaves) with a big salad. Just need to hide the left over tortilla chips from the trip this weekend so that I am not tempted to have a late night snack - saving the extra calories instead for a glass of red wine and will relax!

07/02 192.8 – 4th day at this weight. Time to focus and start moving down again! Walked for an hour this morning and got some gardening done despite the heat. Good food choices and good hydration today. I feel like I’m off to a good start 😊
07/03 192.2 – Nice to see a drop going into the long weekend. It was already steamy at 6 AM, so did some chores in the house instead of walking and spent the afternoon in the pool with the kids. My older grandson helped make dinner – lemon pepper salmon, one of his favorite dishes. Came in under my calorie limit even with a glass of wine and a scoop of gelato. Need to get in a little more water this evening to compensate for the alcohol.
07/04 190.8 – Happy 4th! Cooked up a big pot of ratatouille this morning and readied the yard for guests. Lots of fruits and veggies on the menu (along with the high-salt and high calorie offerings), so hopefully today’s BBQ won’t set me back too far.
07/05 191.8 – Not surprised to see a bounce today. Yesterday was busy – no time to walk, but hosting kept me moving a good part of the day. It also kept me from snacking. Overdid it a bit at dinner, but I still managed a small calorie deficit and good hydration. I’ve got some clean-up to do this morning, and then maybe I’ll hit some of the holiday sales to look for a new swimsuit to replace a couple that are embarrassingly stretched out.
07/06 191.8 – On the upside, I stayed under my calorie limit and had plenty of water Swimsuit shopping was a non-starter after I discovered water pooling in the cabinet under my kitchen sink That was after I dropped and broke the bowl to my salad spinner and before the thunderstorm forecast nixed my planned walk Made a lovely dinner with extra for today’s lunch but woke up this morning to discover I’d left the main part out on the counter Dragging a bit, but hoping to make this a better day
07/07 192.4 – Lazy day yesterday. Family party today. The heat and humidity finally dropped and I was able to get out and walk for 90 min this evening.
07/08 191.0 – That’s looking better. Up extra early for the first day of summer classes. Tempted to take a nap when I got home, but rallied for a bookstore trip with my grandsons. The rainy morning had turned into a delightfully sunny and mild afternoon, so we all sat outside and read for a while. Light dinner and a brisk evening walk to round out the day. Met my goals for calories, exercise and hydration.
07/09 191.0 – Gorgeous day! Did some gardening after class before the grandkids came over to swim. After dinner and ice cream, we went for a firefly walk in the park. The boys were energized by the cool evening and the novelty of the park at sunset. The fireflies were lovely, but I think they most enjoyed seeing the bats fly overhead! Goals met again, so I’m feeling good going into the home stretch.

7/1 135.8 Canada day and family barbecue. It was a definite binge day and as much as I hate to start the month off on a bad note, it's also a good time for a restart (as always) 0/31

7/3 138.8 weird, i had a good day and that usually means a drop, at the same time I know shark week will start in a couple of days, which explains last week hunger episodes. 2/31 accomplished
7/4 didn't weigh in. Woke up with terrible cramps, shark week has arrived. Today was a good day, even got some grocery shopping done after work so I could continue with my meal prep 3/31 accomplished

7/7 139.0 it's been an awful weekend as expected. I am dissapoined with myself. I have my meals pre planned for the week to turn it all around. I am also beginning to see how this work schedule mixed with after work eating habits can potentially become a slippery slope for my weight and I am really going to have to begin again. I want to promise myself diligence, i want to promise myself a restart and actually do it. I am tired of disappointing myself so no more. I can do it! 4/31
7/8 140.8 the weekend is over and the restart commences. I am done eating out and I am ready to start getting back to my usual work out. For the past month I have worked out maybe 3x... my job is active and being a new place (opened the day I started) they haven't hired any staff besides me and one other person, which makes my hours crazy (did 115 hours in two weeks...Not counting the times I didn't get paid because I went in on my "free time" to make sure inventory and prep was completed) it made it difficult to eat at work and even more difficult to not over indulge when i left. Healthier options or not this is a slippery slope and I need to readjust so this doesn't continue upwards. It's been a month at my new job and things are finally starting to be more organized so I don't see any issue with actually accomplishing my restart...either way wish me luck 5/31 accomplished
7/9 139 today was my second day off in a month. I got some workouts in, slept and ate healthy home cooked meals. I am so happy I slept, I have been having the worst sleep ever so I needed this. 6/31 accomplished

07/05 68.0kg from nowhere! Hoping it's just the cold causing the gain as food has been good. Too rough to run today, I'm going to take it easy

07/07 67.4kg my first weekly gain since January. Only 0.4kg but now the cold is mostly gone I need to eat at calorie deficit. Starting today.

07/09 66.2kg back here finally! Didn't get the sewing done yesterday as I went to a friend's 60th. I have never seen so many different types of flatbread in one house but I stayed strong and just nibbled on some cheese and raw veg and egg dip keeping it Keto.

07/03 - 133.7 (-0.6lbs) - Food was mostly good. I had a handful of vegan cheezits, not the healthiest but was still under calories and the rest of the day was clean. 45min strength. 103min cardio. 16 cups water. 11,441 steps.

07/05 - 135.8 (+1.4lbs) - Water retention. Bloated. Slightly sore. Vegan cheezits again 🤦🏻♀️ I needed to fill calories quick. 30min strength. 1hr 15min cardio. 168oz water, extra because I spent 30min in the sauna, had to replenish.
07/06 - 135.3 (-0.5lbs) - super sore from yesterday’s strength training. Water retention I’m sure. 55m strength, 1hr 10min cardio. 12,583 steps. 152oz water, sauna again.

07/02 - 136.9lb (-3.5lb) Well that's the weekend whoosh expected a day or so early but happy to take it. TOM started unexpectedly too today so maybe that was part of it as well.
Food planned and prepped for the day and gym for an hour tonight.
Logged 11,378 steps yesterday which isn't bad having been at work - 988,622 to go! At work but hoping to get a walk in at lunchtime to up my steps for the day.
07/03 - 136.7lb (-0.2lb) 16,735 steps. Lots of steps as trainer took us out on a run tonight! Did a total of 7.5km where we ran for 5 minutes then walked for 2 minutes! Quite proud of myself as I am not a runner at all - love walking and love being out on my bike but not running!
07/04 - 135.4lb (-1.3lb) 10,967 steps (960,920 to go) Happy with this although not sure how much of this is down to the fact I only had a small dinner yesterday evening. Had a day off work yesterday to watch my youngest in her swimming gala so think it may also be due to sweating off pounds in the swimming pool as it was unbelievably hot in there! Good food day planned today then heading off early tomorrow to Bournemouth for the UK Cheerleading Nationals finals weekend - these events are always a test to any form of healthy eating!

07/03 - 166.1 (-0.4) Gives me hope lol Yesterday was really good, but I was still doing my steps at 10pm lol one of the disadvantages of cycling to work is that I'm finding it harder to get my steps in!
07/04 - 166.1 (0.0) - Happy with a status quo, I had a pasta dish for dinner last night so I wasn't expecting any change even though I stayed within my calorie count. All my goals were covered for the day. Today is going to be hard as I'm going to the restaurant tonight. I don't often go (2-3 times year) because it's expensive here so I do tend to indulge on those rare occasions
07/05 - 166.2 (+0.1) - So considering I went to the restaurant yesterday evening I think it's not too bad. I was dreading weighing myself this morning! I've got another lunch date today but I'll try and stick to salads and avoid carbs today as I eat so much bread last night with the tapas yum !

07/09 - 165.2 (+0.2) So this is the time when I have to try hard not to give up, I have been eating constantly my 1200 allocated calories (except one day when I also ate most of my daily exercise calories gained), cycling 5/6 days, getting my steps in but my weight just fluctuates so much and now I'm nearly back to my starting weight after all this effort, it's quite discouraging

7/05: 243.0 wow😂 no surprise this morning. I really did enjoy the forth. I ate a lot of beef and pork ( the baby back ribs were to die for. I know my body so I will be back on track today and the number is temporary. Goal is still 240 by Sunday. Hike tonight and Saturday.
7/06: 241 long hikes today. Body is tired but not sore. Total of 5-6 miles. They hikes are getting easier but not mountain hike conditioning. Still need another 5-6 wks. Knocking on 240 lbs. need to start resistance trading to ramp things up.
7/07: 239.2 lbs🎉🥳 this is a great way to start the day. Are well yesterday. Stayed with the life style change that actually is easier after a rough start. Better educated I have become on what my body actually likes and getting more activity in has been good. Now I can start using the gym membership I have not made time for. 07/05 – 145 – I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to post, but I’ve been weighing every day. We’ve got two more picnics this weekend, so I know I’ll be doing a lot of work over the next couple weeks to get back to a better maintenance range. I’m going to try to catch up on all the posts today before the new guests arrive. I hope everyone has a good weekend.
07/06 - 144
07/07 – 143 – I don’t know how this happened. Although I didn’t really overindulge with the food, I’ll admit I had quite a few adult beverages over the past couple days. We’ll see if it hits tomorrow, but otherwise I’m really happy with this weight after all the parties.
07/08 – 143.5 – OK! Back to work and drinking plenty of water today.
07/09 – 143 – Feeling pretty good about getting back to this weight. Now to keep it here or lower for Thursday.
07/10 – 143 – I need to focus on getting in more water and steps. Otherwise, my eating has been pretty good this week.

7/10: - DNW - Last night I can stay with boyfriend until best friend leaves next Tuesday. Its only 6 days/nights but he has the kids this week and they are sad they won't be seeing me as much. I figured I'd spend a little bit extra time last night even though I'm EXHAUSTED and I hate waking up early (only 30 minutes earlier) and going to bed an hour and a half later. But I get so much better sleep there. Not sure if its because his bedroom is so cold (downstairs), the bed is so comfy, or if its his sleep habits (he'll reach over and put a hand on the top of my head or on my sternum/collarbone area protectively. And he's completely unaware he's doing it). Oh well. Best friend flies in this afternoon! Should be able to easily weigh in tomorrow but won't have the first 3 days of next round and Monday's weigh in isn't likely to be pretty knowing my best friend and I. Let's hope for the best. At least I know upping my calories has actually helped my plateau so I hope the damage isn't AS BAD as I think it will be.

Previous day's comments for R827/2: - Stayed at boyfriend's last night. Tomorrow is likely the only day I'll have a chance to weigh in. I'm trying to reverse diet a little with healthier meals this week because I've been at a deficit for awhile and I'm starting to gain if I eat anything more than 1200 calories. Especially after the week of extreme deficit (<800cal/day) due to stress. Going to try to introduce veggie-based smoothies (with just a little fruit for flavor) and include more veggies in all my meals to help fill me up as well, especially since I don't really eat breakfast and when I do, its pretty much all carbs like the bad girl I am. I desperately need to go grocery shopping tonight since I'll actually have the time (no baseball game).
7/3: - A lot better than I thought with all the food I ate yesterday but I did drink almost 100oz of water. I'm prepared for today with 2 smoothies (made mostly of spinach and cucumber with a little frozen fruit and my protein mixed in for flavor) and a chicken caesar salad for lunch with a small grilled chicken breast filet for extra protein. Finally went shopping and feeling prepared! Now to keep myself in line tomorrow for the 4th of July since its one of my favorite holidays!

7/8: - Not bad for such a long time away and the entire time spent with my boyfriend eating and drinking. Figured I'd be so so so much higher. Dehydrated a bit but working on that (really need to get the weekend thing down, but I never know what's going on, I just get told to "get in the truck" and off we go!) So tired. Stayed up to watch men's soccer with some friends and didn't get to bed until almost midnight. Leftovers from boyfriend's amazing dinner for lunch today so at least I have something good (: Here's to trying to stay awake (and focused) at work.
7/9: - That's a drop I didn't expect. I got hungry the end of the day and figured that'd put me way over. I've successfully been upping my calories and it seems to have broken my plateau. Unfortunately my crazy schedule as of late has not been a friend. My best friend arrives tomorrow and I imagine that will not bode well for my healthy eating but I'm going to make her try to keep things in check since she's wanted to lose as well. Slightly dehydrated still. Gonna work on that.
