It was another great morning for a run! The dew point was only 54°! The temperature was 64°F, feels like 64°F and the humidity was 71%. There was a light 3mph south wind. I am really enjoying this nice weather! It was just ideal and we don't get weather like this in July in Texas very often. I ran 6.25 miles again today. It was a mostly uneventful run, but very pleasant. I have been feeling really good about my runs lately. And today's run puts me 3.73 miles over my July goal.
@PastorVincent I'm so sorry about the job. I hope that it will be a blessing in disguise and something even better will turn up.

Ok. I managed to run at an average pace of 11:17 today, which resulted in a run that Fitbit tells me was 98% in the cardio zone. 0% in peak. I suppose it's technically possible that I could run slower, but that feels like an enormous mental victory, all the same. The trick was to tell myself that I was going to run the whole thing at 12 minute miles. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! So. That's how well I manage to comply with that sort of thing.

Another gorgeous day. Perfect weather for a quick morning run Unfortunately, I feel a bit under the weather (no pun intended) and It was hard to get up. I finally dragged myself out there around 7 am. It was totally worth it. Next run will be Saturday .

@PastorVincent Very sorry to hear about the job issues. We went through something similar with our largest client a few months ago - first the incompetent people were let go, then slightly more essential people, and each time we breathed a sigh of relief that we made the latest cut. Until finally our payment was late and the CEO answered the phone himself instead of his secretary, and apologized because he had let the payroll guy go and hadn’t gotten the hang of the system yet. Ruh roh. So yeah, wishing you all the best in your job seeking.

Today was technically a rest day but got in a little bit of running anyway, a mile down to the park at Fletcher creek and back. Since my husband won’t be seen in public pushing a dog in a stroller, I have a newfound appreciation for people who run with strollers! Anna can barely walk and Checkers has tiny little legs so they both ended up being pushed most of the way.12 -

There should be a way to log this in MFP. Sports bra, removing. Or something like that.
@PastorVincent So sorry to hear about your job. It's stressful when it catches you off guard. The contracts for my job weren't renewed either, but we have at least 9 months before I no longer have a place to show up for work. We will see what happens over the next year. This is the 3rd time I have had this happen over the past 7 years. It's getting less stressful each time. The lead time definitely helps.
I know you will find something new, and hopefully something better!! Luckily you have a good, stress reducing hobby!

I sometimes get that rolled up back thing, but getting them off feels like I almost have to dislocate my shoulders! It's like the sweat creates this suction to your skin. My low support ones aren't hard to remove, but the ones I use to run are pretty tight. I also have pretty broad shoulders from climbing. Maybe that's why it's so hard to get it over my head.1 -
My goal is 60 miles this month. I think that I ran 57 miles last month... so not an unreachable goal.

July 22...3.11 miles ( Monon trail).....I was done early at work. So decided to run on the trail rather than the treadmill. Cool temperatures. Short run, but felt great.
July 24....4.14 miles (Monon trail). Very fatigued after the 2 nights at work. Nice temperatures and cool winds. More crowded on the trail than normal for this time of day.
Total: 52.2 miles
Goal: 60 miles.
Our washing machine died this week. As it it with most appliances these days, it was more expensive to fix than to buy new. I googled that the life expectancy of a washer is 10 years, and I think that we had ours 14 years. My husband and I shopped for new washer and dryer. Even though the dryer is still working, it is just a matter of time. Very expensive, but we probably wash 2 or 3 loads per day. My husband trotted to the laundromat today and told me that it costs $4.50 per load and noted that the people who were there didn't sort their clothes...just threw all the clothes in the machine. Wow! I probably haven't been to the laundromat in 20 plus years. Anyway, the new appliances are going to arrive on Monday.

I could freak out scream yell cry stomp my feet... and end up with a sore throat and sore feet, but no better off.
Or I can laugh and joke about it, and be in the same position, save happy and probably without the sore feet.

@autumnblade75 I don't have that issue but my sports bras are actual bras that are just really supportive. As a size 32F -bras are a challenge. No one thinks someone that size will be running so I wear a size smaller - an e cup - apparently that's the biggest you are allowed to be running. Crop top style bras do not contain the girls. I just end up with black eyes.3 -

No one thinks someone that size will be running so I wear a size smaller - an e cup - apparently that's the biggest you are allowed to be running. Crop top style bras do not contain the girls. I just end up with black eyes.
If you can't get the cup size, going up a band size plus down a cup size will be the same as your normal setting. Although if you find you are comfortable with what you've got then great.
As an aside, more ladies should get measured professionally on a regular basis. things change. A lot. And I have to stop myself from yelling at women I see running with inappropriate/insufficient bras on.3 -

Yeah I've got some 10E and 12E. Apart from being slightly squished in the 10s,they are fine. The ladies stay put and no chaffe or anything

Definitely won’t make my goal this month but that’s ok. I amped up my cycling mileage and there is just never enough time to do it all. I also needed a little break from running in the heat and humidity after my HM. I really struggled that day and was discouraged and had sore muscles for the next few days so dialing it back a bit was just what I needed.

This! I have been tempted a few times to say something. Honestly not wearing a good supportive bra has to hurt and I can't imagine running for long that way. I wonder if some don't keep with it for that very reason.
