Goal for this 10 days - learn daily moderation instead of restrict until I get frustrated and start bingeing again! Need to get out of this pattern.

I ate too much at my art show reception yesterday and had salty stuff later, so this gain is water. I’m back on track today and foregoing flour and added sugar for the foreseeable future. I mulched my new garden for a good 90 minutes this morn8ng, and am going for a walk after dinner. Did I mention that the temperature has cooled WAY down? Yay!

Gaaa! That’s the delayed effect of Sunday. ‘Sokay. I was within my calorie goal and macros were good yesterday and I got plenty of exercise. Onward.

I went out for dinner with 3 friends and 2 very annoying women, one of whom never stopped talking (“me me my me” for the whole 3 hours. I ate responsibly there but came home and had a glass of Bailey’s, a bowl of ice cream, and a bag of popcorn. Sigh. I thought I was past that. Oh, well. I followed up with a note to the 3 friends to let them know I’ll meet them for lunch/dinner but won’t be back to the group. Really annoying when one person ruins things for everyone else. I did once ask her to let me finish what I was saying, to minimal effect (and two people thanked me later). Anyway, another beautiful day her. DH and I are off to see an art show, and then I plan to go for a long walk this afternoon and probably work in the garden.

DH’s birthday, so I’m taking him out for late lunch. I plan to have broiled fish and behave myself, although I’m also baking him a cake. I think I’ll invite people over for dessert! I also plan to start laying brick tri. Around my garden, so that should burn some calories.

After doing just 16:8 or 18:6 this weekend, I’m not surprised. I also believe I haven’t been drinking enough water. I had 100oz yesterday, but I still feel dehydrated. In for a 42h fast now, and will have my next meal tomorrow lunch.

Today is regular 18:6 schedule. Lunch and dinner. Then another 46/48 hour fast will begin before the weekend.

Yesterday went down a little different than planned. I still stayed keto, but my dinner ended up 2 hours later than usual. If it was a weekend or a short fast ahead I would have skipped it. However, I’m now on a 46/48h fast (till dinner Friday), so didn’t want to start that with just a little guac. I was also bad at drinking water yesterday. With fasting today I hope to lose the water weight by tomorrow.

Well . . . This was discouraging . . . I thought I’d lose more water weight (from the gain yesterday) after a full day of fast. I’ve also started with very slight jogs this week. On Monday I did 5min walk/ 30 sec jog for 48min, yesterday I did 4.5min walk, 30sec jog for 44min. Since scale isn’t everything I did a quick measurement over my hips (even though the measurements are not due for another 1.5 weeks) just to see if something has happened. And it has! 4cm (1.5in) down! Feel a little better, but still waiting for those pounds to drop so I can have my next reward.

I finished my 44h fast yesterday. . . Still no change. Not very encouraging, and today we’re having the pool party. I’ll have a couple of shots, then bring something like truly with very low carb in it to have something to drink, that is not just water. Right now I have nothing to go on. The NSV reported yesterday was incorrect. It was only 1cm (<0.5in). I have to believe I’m at stage 2 of this pic. At least overall this round so far, I’m at a lower weight than when I started. 0.4lbs. Not much, but at least some.

Not as bad as I thought. I did a lot of baking and cooking yesterday for the pool party to have low carb alternatives. I still had a few regular pinwheels, and some fruit. I also had some fruits at midnight. While it wasn’t time for such a meal/day as per my plan, life happens, and felt I needed to let go a little to not feel deprived of life so to speak. At least it’s not as bad as last week, but we’re coming up on the end, and so I hope I can counter this before that happens.

Decided to shift my schedule slightly, so instead of doing dinner to dinner for my 48h fasts, I’ll be doing lunch to lunch. I’m actually gonna try a 72h fast to see if my struggles with 48 is mental or not 🤣
I suspect this is my cheat day at the pool party that is still showing up. With an EF IP I’m hoping to get this back down by Wednesday.

I’m now at 38hours into my 68h fast. I feel great! My water weight finally released after the weekend’s pool party. Feels kinda dumb, and a little frustrating that I need almost 40h fast to get it released. At least it does, and I’m able to do it. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. I really hop that I at least stay the same as today, preferably lower. But at least I’m at a total SMALL loss this round if I stay at this tomorrow.

07/22 307.2 The heat won yesterday and I barely got in 3500 steps. Most of those were after sunset. It’s much cooler today and will be for a few days so I’m looking forward to getting outside this week.
07/23 307.0 I got in a lot more walks yesterday and it was nice to get outside again. I can’t believe how much I used to fear/hate the thought of walks around the neighborhood.
07/24 306.2 That’s a nice drop. My nsv today is more loose pants! I pulled my jeans out this morning because it was a little cooler. They stayed on, but I was swimming in them. 07/26 308.2 My lack of proper sleep, pain, and just general blah won out last night. It happens to me every so often and oddly helps to re-motivate me. I’ll have this gain gone in no time as it’s all water.
07/27 307.6 Starting to go back down. I was on track with my calories, but I don’t think I drank enough water. I should see losses over the next several days and be to a new low soon. I finally got some new clothes that aren’t even a little bit loose or baggy. My husband is certain that if I give it a couple of months I’ll need new ones again. I don’t remember the last time I was in these sizes, but it’s been awhile.

07/23 204.8- Not surprised. I kind of gave in and just had a sandwich for lunch and I wanted to have something healthy for dinner, but the line at the market was taking forever, so I ended up having Wingstop Aaaand a late night boba drink (minus the boba) I did go to the store last night and grab a salad for work today. I'll also be spending the night at my boyfriends these next couple days because it's our 4 year anniversary which also means prob lots of celebration food and no scale for a couple days. Oh Lord give me strength!

Also had a slice of pizza at the birthday and a coke But I've had enough of my crap of falling off the wagon, so I have a poke salad I'm having for lunch (got the poke from Gelson's) and planning to meal prep this week and push myself to start going to the gym again. I fell off way too hard this round and I keep getting further from my goal. Really really need to stop giving in and letting others throw me off track. Going to try to reach my goals these next couple rounds. Also updating my challenge GW because losing 5lbs in two days sounds terrible

22: 239 Feedback: Hydration affects weight. I totally didn't drink enough water yesterday! Not sure what was up. I'm usually really good about having enough, but I only drank about half of my usual intake.
23: 239.2 I'm completely at peace with this. We took my younger daughter and her best friend to Sea Life and the Minnesota Zoo yesterday. That meant mall food plus 7 hours of driving. I enjoyed Auntie Anne's pretzels for lunch(way more carbs than I'd usually eat in one sitting), and had a Caesar salad with shrimp for dinner. I even managed to stay pretty close to my IF schedule. I finished eating about an hour later than usual. I feel like I did a pretty good job enjoying the day-trip without going completely overboard.

25: 237.2 !!?!!? I'm shocked by this. I stayed within my calories and IF schedule, but I ate more movie theatre popcorn than I usually would and had a fast food burrito for dinner. I did skip the seasoned potatoes that I love (because they're deep fried and more carbs), but my carbs were still really high (about 50% higher than my goal). My kids left for 2 weeks with their dad today, so yesterday afternoon/evening we had a special family outing. I'm glad the scale doesn't reflect what I was sure would be a gain.
26: 235.9 OMG!!! I'm so effing excited about this! I know that the 1 and 2 pound daily losses won't last forever, so I'm just gonna bask in this for as long as I can. WHEEEEEE! 🤸💃🤸💃
27: 234.7 TOM is due tomorrow. I only had a 30 calorie deficit yesterday. Last night, I had to take extra precautions to avoid snacking during my fasting time. I managed, but it definitely took some will power! I guess it paid off! 🤸💃🤸💃
28: 235.5 I totally rocked my IF schedule, calories, macros, water, and sleep. That narrows the cause to pre-TOM weight gain. ♀️

7/22: 139.6 lbs - It is what it is. 2 weeks in the U.K., eating and drinking and not exercising much. I knew I would pay for it and I'm not going to dwell.
7/23: 139.0 lbs - off to a good start. Hoping it'll all come back off quickly.
7/24: 137.8 lbs - played pickleball yesterday for the first time in a couple weeks, a little sore today. Ate well, feeling good to be back in the swing of things and the scale loss is very nice to see. Starting my new daily goals today, hoping to see some quick returns. Otherwise, today is a rest day. I've got a pickleball tournament this weekend and don't want to overdo it after 2 weeks of nearly no exercise.
7/25: 137.8 lbs - still working through jet lag and pretty darn exhausted at the end of the day. Taught beginner pickleball class last night and played a couple games after, it was good to do a little running around. I met the water drinking goal and stretched but did not get the steps, push ups or crunches in. Baby steps.
7/26: 136.8 lbs - perhaps a false low because I barely ate yesterday. But it's nice to see. Managed to get all the water in, all the steps in and do the stretching and worked out for an hour or more. Didn't get the push ups or crunches in though. Today and tomorrow I'll be in a pickleball tournament (in 92 degree heat!), will definitely get my work out and steps done. Wish me luck!
7/27: 136.8 lbs - happy to see this for 2 days in a row, hoping it sticks. Day two of Pball tournament today, I got silver yesterday . Drank plenty of water, stretched, got the steps in, and did a few crunches and push ups. Almost there.
7/28: 135.6 lbs - Pretty sure this is due to 10 hours in the sun and being dehydrated. Got first place in my division though . We will see if this sticks.

All of this has taught me:
I have trouble reducing my daily calories below 1,900 for any period of time, and usually it’s 2,000.
So, my 650-700 Active calories daily burn is a must.
(Still tinkering with that balance as my PT wants me wt lifting & doing intervals on ex bike 15-20 mins which rake a lot of time but don’t burn as many calories - plus the walks lift my spirits & get me out in nature.) I guess it’s all about balance.
Discouraged with scale, but Delighted with my regained strength, better tone, & energy!. Health first.

07/25 …..197.9 ….. After Travel weigh-in. I really don’t want to talk about it. It was lunch AND dinner out because of it being such a long day out of town afterall. Let’s just say that I’ve got some work to do. Traveling tomorrow and I will not be back until Sunday. I use a PC and I will not likely have access to a computer. I have an older phone but I can’t seem to get the app to work I’ll go by my daughters this evening for help. I would like to be able to log in while away on my phone. I hate to break my mfp streak. I hate to go away for the next 3 days but emotionally & socially it seems vital to me right now. It is odd & unexpected the way things change when your husband passes away and you are not longer a “couple”. You feel more like a 5th wheel. Not at family events, but socially. This lady friend that I am going with was someone I met as a customer of mine this past spring. She is recently divorced and feels much of what I’ve been feeling the past 3 years. So this trip is important to both of us emotionally & socially. We plan on having great fun! It will be filled with lots of activities & food choices will not always be something I can 100% control, but I plan on doing my best, even though my best is just not good enough yet. Notice, I said YET. I’ll never give up the good fight!

Also, contractors showed up today to dig up behind cabins 3 & 4 to resolve some slow (septic) plumbing issues (clogs easily) so I am s.t.r.e.t.c.h.e.d to my limit on time. HUGE part of my yard dug up. Tons of cabin laundry awaits. My house is a mess from my brother (the house sitter while I was gone). 07/30 …..199.7 ….. Does spit have calories? If so, I’m afraid if I swallow I will hit the 200 mark and that is not something I will accept after all my hard work, so today will be a day under 1200 calories & under 20 net carbs. Yesterday both were still too high on a grab & go today. Today is better planned. Yesterday I burned 2771 Calories, 13,905 Total Steps & 5.88 Total Miles. I rigorously cleaned cabins for 68 minutes burning 333 extra calories. Luckily I’m like a Phoenix and I always rise up from the ashes. I am thinking about going downstate (about 2 hours each way) to take my son & 2 of my grandson’s to see The Lion King. It would involve eating at a restaurant again. My son & I are SO EXCITED about the movie & the trip would be to the closest movie theater from us in general. It would involve at least one restaurant but if I stuck to ordering breakfast foods it would be a tremendous help in the food section of my plan. I’ll try to organize that trip today for asap.

07/23 - 308.6 This one made me happy because one of my weakest moments is after I grocery shop and I put food away. I tend to snack and snack while I put things away, and it's like a whole other meal. I didn't do this ONCE and it paid off. Exercised for 10 min
07/24 - 307 OH HAPPY DAY. I am loving weighing in every day and seeing how I'm doing It so keeps me in check on a day to day basis. 1 more pound to my round goal!!!

07/22 152.8 ~ {Steps 12,666} ~ I jumped right back on the horse after falling Saturday night. We took my grandkids to see Lion King at the drive in. The pizza, popcorn and ice cream jumped my weight a couple pounds. So again, the battle is in to get back in the 140s.

07/22 168.1 I'm a little bummed I didn't make my goal for Round 83. I really felt like I was retaining water the entire Round from my trip to Colorado and maybe still now. Two excellent parts of this weekend. Saturday morning I spent with my great-niece. We played in the shade at the park for almost an hour before it got too hot. Sunday it cooled down (heat index in the 110 area Saturday afternoon) after a storm and I walked 3 miles in the morning then met a girlfriend and walked 3.5 yesterday evening. It was beautiful, about 80 degrees and breezy.
I was glad she was with me because there was a crazy homeless guy on the trail. He just muttered to himself when he passed us so we didn't think too much about it other than it's very sad. When we turned around to go back he had stopped along the trail and unpacked his stuff all over the path. Which was very weird but not dangerous. Unfortunately, he had also started a fire in the woods burning a bunch of cables and other things that was giving off a chemical smell. Once we got well passed we called the fire department, about 5 minutes later we saw the truck and stopped them to explain where it was since there wasn't an address. He said don't worry, we saw the smoke already. It's so sad but at the same time, you don't know what people are going to do or what brought them to this terrible place.
07/23 169.1 After my 6.5 miles the day before I wasn't going to walk last night but it was soooooo nice that I had to walk a little. Just two miles in the neighborhood with my dog. The weight is TOM. Time will fix this problem. Meanwhile, it's CI/CO. Focus on health and not weight, blah blah blah. I found this link in another thread about water retention that I thought might help some. It helped me. I thought I had beat the water retention game but the last few weeks I haven't been able to lose the water. I think it's because of stress. I am VERY stressed right now with my home life. It did give me some mental relief that I wasn't going crazy.
07/24 169.9 This should drop in a few days. I walked three + miles last night. The weather is unseasonably pleasant. Usually, the end of July first of August is the hottest part of the year but we've got a week in the 80s with mild humidity. This is a small miracle for Missouri. It should be gym night but I'm struggling because it's beautiful outside.
07/25 167.7 Whooosh two stinky pounds! Happy days! I did go to the gym last night because it was 92 when I got off. I brought the clothes to go walking tonight. I didn't travel this week, and right now it doesn't look like I'm going anywhere next week. That should help with water retention. When it wasn't too hot and I could break up the drive with a walk in the middle it helped a little (I think).

Within calorie goals even with a strawberry ice cream crunch I did have Chinese for lunch yesterday so I expected some water retention but it didn't happen. OR this weight does include water ??? Probably not but you can't blame a girl for trying

7/28 168.9 Too many birthday party snacks last night. It's hard to walk away from freshly made guacamole. Walked 3.5 miles with my Dusty dog in the woods. I wish it wouldn't have been so hot, I could have walked a lot more. The rest of the day doing housework and visiting with the kids and the baby.
7/29 No Scale I know I was over yesterday too. This birthday weekend thing is harder than anticipated. I went over both days. I guess I'll find out tomorrow what it means for the end of the round. One more dinner tonight and then I'm done with birthdays for another year.
AMEND: My coworkers had a surprise food day for my birthday. So two more meals but they made healthy snacks. I love the fact that they are honoring my lifestyle change (and not my diet).
07/30 169.9 I had hope for a nice drop this round but it's not going to happen. I was good on my B-Day but the three days before were bad. You only turn 50 once might as well have some good food. Back on target yesterday and today. This birthday was unnecessarily stressful. Most birthdays come and go, but everyone wanted to do something special for this one. The only person I really wanted to celebrate with (BF) was too sick to do anything. I'm heading out of town for work tomorrow and he's got the ok from his doc to travel so he's going with me. I used to travel with him a lot and work from the hotel, this is a change where he comes with me and works from my hotel. I just hope this time of us both traveling all the time will slow down a little, I need it to for my own sanity.

07/26 - 133.5 (+0.7lbs) - Didn’t eat nearly enough calories. Had stomach pain all night and couldn’t eat dinner. Was short around 800cals and it was an intense workout day! 😔 BUT today is a new day and I feel better! 1hr 20min strength training. 1hr cardio. 14,573 steps. 175oz water.
07/27 - 134.1 (+0.6lbs) - Food was horrrible! First day I’ve eaten horrible in a long time! I was just so hungry. I guess my body wanted to make up the 650 calories I didn’t eat yesterday. Problem is I had ice cream and corn nuts 🤦🏻♀️ Its ok though, today is a new day and I’ll do better. Besides I felt so sick from the unhealthy food I don’t think I’ll even want to touch it for awhile. I blame TOM for all of this! LOL I can not be held accountable. Day off strength. 1.5hrs cardio. 14,763 steps. 142oz water.

07/30: 214.7 Up only 8.2lbs after my 18 day vacation. I enjoyed lots of tiramisu, gelato, wine, pasta, and French breads and I don't regret a thing. It will be interesting to see how much of it is water weight and how quickly it will drop. I know a lot of it is also bloating from eating items that I am sensistive to, but I'm ok with that. I did so much walking and really enjoyed myself. Even though my flight came in at 11:30 last night I already worked out with my trainer this morning. My goal is to just get back into the routine of things. I have a bunch of errands to do today. I'm not going back to work until Thursday, so hopefully by then I will have gotten over most of the jet lag.

I am officially 5 rounds away from turning the big 4-0! That means I have 50 days to lose another 5 pounds and be below 140. When I started way back in July of 2018 I thought I would have already reached my goal, but alas I am still working on it, lol. My only goal this round is to see a new low and that my 10 day average continues to drop, however slow that may be and believe me the last couple of rounds it has been extremely slow.

07/22 - 147.3 up from yesterday, but had a good day. Did eat at the mall and then do some snacking while meal prepping for the week. So I am sure I will be back down soon. Finished my daughters room and all the school shopping for both girls. Dinner planned tonight and breakfast/lunches planned for the week. On track for today and should be an early night to bed. The youngest starts her last year of elementary tomorrow since she is in year around. Can't believe I will finally be done with that school. From my oldest to the youngest I have been going there continuously for the last 16 years!
07/23 - 146.7 I overate last night and did some snacking after I got home from work. I was starving all day yesterday and couldn't curve it for some reason. It was just one of those days I guess. For the next 9 days I am going to try and do absolutely no snacking before dinner, while cooking, or clean up after dinner. I am just eating to eat at that point and there is no point to it. So day 1 let's see how I do.
07/24 - 144.4 yes! Finally now all I have to do is keep it down and drop a couple more ounces before the end of the month. I can see that 143.xxx right around the corner. On track for today and dinner set for tonight!
07/25 - 143.1 New low and a huge drop! I almost cried when I saw this, I was so happy. We will see if it sticks tomorrow, but right now I am super thrilled with it! I almost have a 3 pound loss for the month, and I haven't had one of those since October. This made a new happy scale milestone (2 more to go), completes 35 pounds lost, I am officially in the "normal BMI" category by a couple of ounces, and I am at the top of my maintenance weight. I would like for my maintenance weight to be 138-143 eventually. I will see if I like it there and figure out what I want to do at that point. I am sure it will take me a while to get lower. This has been a pretty big month of weight loss, so I am totally expecting a jump up or to stay here for a while and I am completely ok with that. 6 days left to hold on and see what I can do. I have a tendency to let myself relax when I get comfortable and I am determined not to do that this time. I really want to see myself at 138.
07/26 - 143.1 I am shocked that this stayed the same. Maybe it is a real number. I snacked a little before dinner and then while cleaning up, so I was kind of worried this morning. Low cal day today and should be able to stay on track without any issues tonight. Would love to go into the weekend this low and be able to maintain the next 5 days. If I can finish the month at 143 or maybe even 142 something I will be thrilled.
07/27 - 141.7 I can’t believe I dropped even more. This month has been amazing! I am at almost 5 pounds lost and I never have months like that. I lose maybe a pound a month the last 4 or 5 months. I am so happy that it’s finally catching up and the scale is showing my hard work. It may go up over the weekend, but in super thrilled going in so low!
07/28 - 144.0 I hate that I eat a couple of carbs and boom 2 - 3 pounds overnight. Nice Japanese grill date night with hubby complete with korin beer and some saki. Water and better food options are in store for the rest of the day. Would like to end this month around 142 or back to 141!
07/29 - 144.4 The rest of Saturday night I am sure. Had shopping, laundry, and chores around the house all day yesterday, so my water was not as good as I would have liked. Today is planned and logged. Should have a nice drop tomorrow and hopefully will finish up this month and this round with a pretty good loss!
07/30 - 144.4 did well yesterday and expected a loss this morning, but as you can see I am the same. I am still down from the last round and I have 1 more day to finish this month and round up strong. Was on track all day yesterday and have my meals planned today. All 3 of my younger kids had dentist appts this am and wanted MacDonald's breakfast afterwards. I got an unsweet ice tea and that's it! So I should see that 143.xxx tomorrow!

07/22 - 140.8, stayed the same as yesterday, which is great on a weekend! I have a group tennis lesson today, and I will try to do 60 minutes on elliptical. I have a work dinner tonight at a Thai restaurant so I might be up temporarily tomorrow due to sodium intake, but I preselected dinner already. Good feeling that this is the round I break into the 130s and stay there.
07/23 - 140.2, did not sleep well (fell asleep at 12am and it’s currently 4am). I have my alarm set for 6am so hope to go back to sleep. Taking my 8 year old dog to the vet for teeth cleaning and I am always so nervous! I won’t have time today for anything besides work and the dog so no workout. I am really thirsty so had too much salt yesterday, but drank a lot. Will continue to drink today (aiming for water, depending on how pup is!)
07/24 - 140.4, my dog made it out ok, but with six fewer teeth. He’s still a bit slower than usual, but understandable! I have dinner with a friend from college today at a prime rib restaurant (can’t believe we’ve known each other over 10 years!). Expecting to be a few lbs heavier tomorrow, but still hopeful end of the round will be a new decade.
07/25 - 140.6, meals entirely made at home for the next two days so should be down by Saturday.
07/26 - 140.4, had a good day yesterday and so far today has been good. I worked out for 60 minutes at the gym today and yesterday. Going to a see a movie later tonight and prep for a couple of presentations over the weekend. Although I wish I saw more of a change quickly, my overall trend line is going down and just have to trust the process. Some weeks I do the same thing and I lose over 1% of my body weight and other weeks will be less than .5 lbs
07/27 - 140.6, I have been having trouble sleeping so hopefully after my big presentation tomorrow, I can finally sleep. Today I had a couple of slices of pizza at lunch and sushi for dinner so will be up tomorrow, but had two offsites so limited choice.
07/28 - 140.2, tomorrow I’m off to Hawaii to visit family. I usually lose weight in Hawaii since it’s so hot I drink a lot of water and eat pretty clean. Hoping to be below 139 when I get back in a week.
07/29 - 140.5, weighed about 4 hours earlier than I normally do because need to catch an early flight so pretty happy with the number with that and the fact I didn’t sleep very well (always scared I’m going to miss the flight!)

This week is crazy hot in the Netherlands, and I think most of Europe, so I started my morning with an easy walk before working from home. Due to meetings again didn't eat until late, which means I managed to fast for 16hrs again. In the evening, we decided to go to the cinema, have some burger at a new place, DH and I shared one and I went easy on the fries. Plus, we cycled there and back - becoming Dutch But then DH bought me popcorn, which I couldn't say No to. Overall good day

Nooo, this is the wrong direction. I guess it's a combination of the weekend and yesterday's evening run and too little water during the heat, oh and no TMI, since we're talking about that . I could also see this morning that my feet were swollen with what I guess is water retention.
Day went ok, big but healthy dinner and ovulation pain again. Bike ride with DH after dinner and then a brief walk,still not made my steps. I gotta go back to walking at lunch time.

Late dinner due to thai boxing class, which meant I only got home at 8.30 and starving. DH made amazing Mongolian beef, had a small portion, generously estimated cals. But needed something sweet and some nuts afterwards. I'm sure that'll mess up my goal for this round. Next round will be difficult due to friend coming to stay with us again and we tend to enjoy wine together...

07/22 - 216.8 had a big up on the scale today from yesterday, but probably due to first day of period. Started Keto today because my weight loss has been so slow with regular CICO and my nutritionist said I may have insulin issues due to my PCOS, so giving it a shot. Energy levels high most of the challenges are mental but it's amazing how hard that is to overcome. Worked out with my PT today - super intense, very tired but happy
07/23 - 214.4 omg! Biggest loss I've ever had overnight. Thanks, Keto! I know it's just water weight and it really only put me .6 below my start weight for this after yesterday's high, but it gave me the morale I needed to keep going. Had a DXA bodyscan today - 46.5% body fat. What an eye opener... I had no idea it was that much. Used these two things to motivate me to stick to keto today. Crazy busy today so didnt exercise, but got lots of walking and stretching in today and will definitely go to the gym tomorrow.
07/24 - 214.2! That seems like a much more reasonable overnight change, so I'm happy. Hopefully some of this is fat and not all water. Thinking about all the visceral fat in my body scan has motivated me well to stick to my diet all day. Got an intense workout in on the elliptical and I'm feeling pretty good on Day 3 of keto!
07/25 - 212.6! Another big loss overnight! It feels like a miracle! Very happy on Day 4 of Keto but did buy an electrolyte today to help w a 2-day headache. Had a very stressful and agitating day but stuck to my calorie goals. Did not exercise... Spent the entire day waiting for a Frontier technician that never showed up and by the time the service window cloaed at 6pm, had to scramble to get chores done. Will get more exercise tomorrow and hope for a continued weight loss tonight despite no exercise
07/26 - 211! Omg, so happy! I ended up working out last night after posting that I felt bad not exercising. Then today, I definitely didn't eat enough during the day but then my partner came back from a long work trip and we did a celebratory meal and... I definitely ate a lot! It was my first time struggling to stick to keto because everything at the steakhouse was glazed but I got them to make me a special unglazed meal. Felt crazy full though so worried I overate. Got a tough workout in during the morning so hopefully that plus eating light during the day didnt reverse my losses
07/27 - 210.8! Glad to still see some loss despite my super heavy dinner. We had company visit today so I wasnt able to take time away to exercise, but we walked around a lot touring our new area. I stuck to my diet despite how hard it was to find keto options at the restaurants we went to, so I'm proud of myself for that
07/28 - 210.6! Very reasonable overnight loss. Woke up today with a cold (a real cold, not keto cold - coughing, sneezing, sore throat, congestion) Didn't do any exercise but did stick closely tp diet which was an accomplishment in itself bc usually when I'm sick I like tea w honey and simple carbs to eat.. so that is a big win! The lose is that our first free day in our new house and rather than do needed chores, I just lay about all day 😔
07/29 - 209.6! Haven't seen this side of 210 in a long time! So exciting to see a change in the tens position of my weight. Fingers crossed I can stay under 210 and this isn't just a spurious loss on the scale. Still sick with a cold though so missed work and my personal training today. Sticking to diet, hoping to be healthy so I can be exercising and productive again!
07/30 - 209.8! I figured yesterday's loss was ambitious, so I'm psyched to only be up .2 since yesterday and still on this side of 210... Hope I can keep it up stuck to diet goals today but still sick with this cold. Did some gentle yoga and hopefully will be all better and back to exercising tomorrow. Besides the cold, I feel great on keto so far. Losing weight with PCOS has felt impossible until I started this diet. Hopefully it continues to be effective for me
