    Disrespect, in any form.

    I recently watched an interview with a few former FBI/military interrogators, CSIs & detectives. Several also had counseling degrees or PhDs.

    They said when watching 2 people interact, they knew which relationships were doomed/dangerous, if one partner/counterpart sneered (showed contempt) when the other was speaking. They all agreed that 100% of the time, that meant one or both had no respect for the other & all they'd interviewed/interrogated/counseled (depending upon situation) lasted less than 1-yr, married or not... in some cases it was family members, friends, boss-employee dynamic, neighbors. Violence/abuse of some sort was also present in most of those relationships, covert or obvious.

    So, it turns out those little micro-expressions we p/u on & dismiss, even though they make us feel uncomfortable/fearful, shouldn't be so lightly tossed to the side.

    Trust your instincts.
