Beth, I think your hobby is taking care of your children. It fills a lot of your time and brings you joy. What's fun for other people may not be fun for you, and vice versa.
Kelly, congrats on your beautiful new grandson.
I just found out that there is a Great Canadian Baking Show on TV so I started watching it today. Such nice people and interesting baking.

Well I am beat, got 3 hrs work in before I got a text from DD she had been in an accident.. so i left work, both her and DGD were ok.. but sustained alot of front end damage..so i had to lug the groceries home go back to wait for two truck, then go to body shop and then over to the rental car place..
Next 2 days will be busy with wake and funeral and have to be down in new haven at 4:45 Thursday morning to catch the train.
He got us a cheap hotel with a continental breakfast and we have to pay for our lunch and he will pay us back 15.00 for a dinner meal really ,in NYC what are you going to get for that..
By the time we get home to Portland will be after 10 pm friday night and i have to be at work at 7:30 the next morning.. wowza .. what a week6 -
Allie-good to here DD and DGD were not injured. What is the old saying "It never rains but it pours"? Not like you needed anything else on your plate.
Had to deal with ugly issue at church today, but it is over. I believe we made the right decision.
Knee and leg still not happy. Had some bruising show up from foam roller so laying off that. Se doctor tomorrow and hopefully start tracking down the issue.
Otherwise, everything the same in my world. Back to work tomorrow. Good thing about doctor, I will probably just go home after I see him, so short day before next three days are busy.

Hi Gals,
Kelly -great picture! Such handsome grandsons you have.
Allie – So glad to hear your DD and DGS are ok… sorry to hear you are still headed to the work deal in NYC - I was hoping you could get out of it, with the funeral etc. Hang in there…. Thinking about you.
Rebecca – love to see you post… you always bring a smile to my face.
Mom was here this weekend and it was a good time, it is always better if we have things to do together, but ANYthing I come up with she is not interested in, and she almost never comes up with an idea. This weekend we went and visited a friend of hers in memory care – she can be taken out to lunch or a drive or even drinks as at 93 years old this friend is only on a calcium pill but is slowly losing her memory. Then on Sunday we went to an antiques fair. Nice to get out.

Skimmed a lot but can’t catch up.
Allie- you were a blessing to your FIL for many years and I am so glad you were with him to the end. I love that Josh Zhoben song and it was so perfect for a sign that fil was ok in heaven. Hugs
KJ- congrats on your beautiful baby #2. He is georgeous. Hope you are enjoying your time in TX.
Hobbies to make money- like someon else said, I spend it. Although we have 27 pecan trees and some years pick them up for extra money.
Exercise- golf, yoga, SS classic at Y, walking my puppy but he doesn’t go very far. Just finished water aerobics.
Creative- audio books, bridge and I use to knit a lot before my eyes got too bad.
Missed you all but will do better.

Did one segment of 10MS Ball Workout then took the extremepump class. The plan for tomorrow is to do some HIIT then Rummikub in the evening.
Luci – what a lovely shirt
NYKaren – filling DD’s refrigerator – that’s called being a mother. Even to this day and my kids are out of college, I still put food in their refrigerator.
After exercise stopped at the Salvation Army, didn’t get anything but I was surprised that they were opened. Then to Aldi. According to the website of where we take ceramics, they’re closed tonight. Update: they were open
KJ – Miguel is so cute. What a head of hair!!! Thanks for posting
Julie – welcome!
Allie – for dinner, you can probably get McDonald’s for less than $15….lol So glad no one was injured
Went to ceramics tonight. One gal picked up this crab for me from the lady in VA. Another lady went to SC (we need to go there) and got me a large mug, I just need to paint it. I had been looking for a large mug to have down at the condo. Honestly, I probably could have bought a cheaper one at Target, but this one will be from me.

Kelly Congratulations! Adorable new grandson! Thank you for sharing pic
Allie So sorry you have so many stressful things going on at once!! Hoping you have a chance to catch your breath soon! Hugs and prayers for you in the meantime. Glad your daughter and granddaughter are okay!!
Rita Scary reactions to your medicine! Sure hope it is under control quickly!!
Welcome Newbies! This is a wonderful group of women! Hope you enjoy the interaction and support as much as I do!
Today was a really tough day recovering from the baby shower. I still suffer ridiculous pain whenever I overdo since my injuries 11 years ago. I was unable to do anything but a little bit of stretching and DH rubbed my back for a few minutes. I wish I had access to a hot tub!! I get to a certain pain threshold and am stuck on the recliner in agony! I couldn't sleep at all last night...I finally drifted off for a nap this afternoon around 5. Still only a couple hours off and on. Hoping I can rest tonight and get going again tomorrow! There is not a place on my body that doesn't hurt today! Sigh!
Thanks for letting me vent! I try not to let anyone see this side of me, but you all are so open and kind I feel safe letting you know! Thanks, again!

Insomnia in Arkansas... the kids and grands are asleep, all piled up in the living room, so the work to put the spare bedrooms to rights was all in vain. But my daughter, who's 7 months pregnant tomorrow, can't get comfortable other than sleeping on a couch, and they all want to be together.
The dogs are asleep in the kitchen, and their presence in the house makes my husband very tight-lipped. Also means the cat is staying outside all night... I put her food and water outside. They're staying until Wednesday afternoon, so Egg will have to survive a couple of nights outside. She makes her own choices, too... *sigh* If you're wondering why we're putting up with it, it's because they're moving, not just visiting, so my yard is also completely filled with two pickups and two large panel trailers as well.
And, as far as Egg goes, even without the dogs, she won't come in the house when there are people here, either. Bless her, she's a cranky little kitty.
Not to say it's all been tension-filled, it hasn't. S'mores outside with the grands was fun (I'll steal pics from my daughter later, none on my phone). My husband put in an 11-hour day at work today, and probably will tomorrow as well, but it's that season for him. I've taken a day's vacation, so will spend the day surrounded by kids and dogs and catering to my lovely daughter, who is at the "I'm really tired of this" stage of pregnancy, bless her.
Ah well, hopefully I can head back to sleep. It's going to be an interesting week...
Love y'all,

Popping in to say Hi
Finally heard from the kitchen fitter/electrician and plumber, work is starting on my new kitchen at the end of this month. It's going to cost quite a lot more than I thought it would. Hope it's going to be worth it!
Taking Maggie the cat to the vet for her last (I hope) follow up appointment, her eye seems a lot better now, and she is eating okay after having had 3 teeth extracted.
Allie sorry for your loss, but thankful your DD and DGS are okay.
Heather hope you feel better soon.
Luci hoping you get a bit of respite from your pain, constant pain is so debilitating, vent anytime it gets too much.
Kelly congratulations on the new grandbaby, he's gorgeous.
Time to get moving, I've been so long catching up time has gotten away from me again.
Have a great day everyone

Matchka thanks for combining all our answers to the hobbies challenge! Interesting variety but a lot of commonality too!
RV Rita enjoying the morning 60’s then afternoon 90’s here at Bottomless Lakes!
It is an interesting variety but with commonality ... and a lot of creativity out there.
Future Hobbies: At some point, when I've got some time, I'd like to continue learning languages and piano.
I've got some French and a tiny bit of a few other languages but would really like to become as close to fluent in French as I can ... and I'd like to learn the basics in Mandarin.
Way, way back when I got to Grade 3 piano (Royal Conservatory of Music), but stopped there. I keep thinking I'd like to get a piano and continue.
