I’m probably not going to reach my goal of 145 this month (which was a bit ambitious) especially with Thanksgiving coming up. But I was listening to a podcast recently that made a good point about not setting deadlines for our weight loss goals because it puts on unnecessary stress, can make us feel like we failed even when we lost weight, and this is a forever process anyway so we shouldn’t be so focused on how long it takes us to get to our goal because nothing changes when we hit our goal we still have to keep doing everything we are doing. I really like this mindset so I’m trying to let go of my goal of 145 and just be happy that the overall trend for my weight is down.10 -

I was getting frustrated with my weight loss this week, before that I thought I was going to hit my target.
But I just realized that I am within 10 pounds of my final goal! I knew the loss is going to slow down as I get closer, I just didn't consider that I was in that range now! 🙂🙂6 -

I think I also was a bit ambitious when setting my goal for the month 😂. I’ll be happy if I get to 102kg though as that will be 4kg lost for the month, so not reaching 101kg won’t be too bad.

If I wasn't determined to be down 4 more pounds before I go back to Kentucky for Thanksgiving to visit my inlaws I would have enjoyed many of the delicious meals.

He is swollen, bruised, bent glasses, cut open by his eye, split lip, and with a possible concussion. I am super worried about him. I have asked him if he wants/will wear them, he said no and that they make him look like a dork (he is almost 13 so I am not surprised by that comment lol) he said that he wants contacts. He has an eye appointment soon so we shall see

Nov 9 159.8 Not going well at all! Okay, I just planned meals for 1 week. I must stick with the plan! Goal for water is at least 32 oz. per day. Some days this past week, I barely drank 8 oz. Will start adding in some basic exercises. Back exercises which includes crunches & planks, and adding in some push-ups (maybe just wall push-ups). These are my goals for this week. Increase water. Add those basic exercises, and stick with my meal plans (now that I finally made them).

And, although had challenge of eating at friend's house for lunch (couldn't get out of it...) and homemade ice cream pie, and she being a fabulous cook. My first day to really focus in a while was a success. Feeling hungry now, so better get to my plan and eat lunch...

I did have a good day, yesterday, as far as sticking with diet plan. it was tough when Daughter N Law called wanting us to have dinner with them as they were going to be out our way. Any moment to be with them is cherished as both her and my son are so sweet and wonderful. It truly brightens our day whenever we're with them. So, I stuck with my plan and only had chicken from the place, I weighed my portion since they got it to go and brought it to our house, and supplemented with the rest of original dinner plan. (Have some left over chicken for tonight's meal).

17 Nov - 139.5 Grrrrr! I did great yesterday at the potluck. Brought a copycat Olive Garden salad for the potluck, but also brought my own low calorie salad. If I wasn't determined to be down 4 more pounds before I go back to Kentucky for Thanksgiving to visit my inlaws I would have enjoyed many of the delicious meals.
That swoosh loss has to be close 😕

19 Nov - 139.9 😡😡😡 I feel like my scale and I are in battle of wills. Challenge accepted! I am not going to binge, no matter how tempting. The scale has to move soon. The math doesn't lie, I believe it (I am a High School math teacher) 🙂🙂 Keeping on, tomorrow may be a better day!
20 Nov - 139.1 😃 Of course I was hoping for more, but it is finally moving in the right direction. I think lack of sleep and the fact I am finally within 10 pounds of my final goal weight has a lot to do with the slow down😐😊
21 Nov - 138.5 😊😃 I just MAY hit my goal after all, if I am very committed, But my PreCalculus students and my AP Calculus students want to do a potluck party next week before Thanksgiving break. I am sure they would be hurt if I don't try the food they bring. And there is the issue of eating at my Mother in-law's house during our trip over Thanksgiving. But those are concerns for another day. 🙄🤔
