    Maddie; I had an epiphany. Maybe it was this morning, or maybe it was yesterday. Thinking more about what you wrote, and what my goals are, my goals shouldn't really be to weigh less than last month. It should be to weigh THE SAME as last month. And yeah, since I have set a range of 142-148 (or 140-150 as I wrote when I started posting in THIS thread), I could re-write my post from yesterday. Can I try again?




    I am in maintenance with a goal weight of 143 pounds and an allowable goal range of 140-150 pounds and an IDEAL goal range of 142 - 148. I fluctuate wildly day-to-day, and try to stay fairly steady month-to-month. I often succeed, and sometimes I am not exactly where I want to be. I will update here once per week and report my ten-day average weight.

    March 14, 2019: Ten-day average 143.2 - I was pretty much at goal.

    December 14: Ten-day average 144.8 - Middle ideal goal range.
    January 14: Ten-day average 144.1 - Lower end of ideal goal range.
    February 14: Ten-day average 143.9 - Practically at ultimate goal.
    March 14: Ten-day average 145.2 - Middle ideal goal range.

    So far, this month has been a slow increase, but I am still in my maintenance range. Even though I was SO CLOSE to being back right back at my ultimate goal weight, I bounced up a little the last couple weeks, but there ya go. It may be stress eating in part related to health concerns around the globe. Big picture is I'm still doing OK and still intend to get back down to the scale weight that is my ultimate goal.

    I am in maintenance with a goal weight of 143 pounds and an allowable goal range of 140-150 pounds and an IDEAL goal range of 142 - 148. I fluctuate wildly day-to-day, and try to stay fairly steady month-to-month. I often succeed, and sometimes I am not exactly where I want to be. I will update here once per week and report my ten-day average weight.

    March 21, 2019: Ten-day average 141.6 - I was around my lowest average weight on my entire journey.

    December 21: Ten-day average 144.6 - Middle ideal goal range.
    January 21: Ten-day average 142.7 - Near the bottom of IDEAL goal range.
    February 21: Ten-day average 144.3 - Lower end of goal range; near the middle of IDEAL goal range.
    March 21: Ten-day average 146.7 - Scooting in to the upper end of goal range.

    I continued my slow increase this month, but have stayed within my maintenance range. I had one day where SCALE weight went over my ideal goal range, but it was one day and still within the +/- five pound tolerance.

    March hasn't been great to me - up 2.5 pounds. It's unlikely I will get back to my ultimate goal weight in March. At least I'm still in my maintenance range, but moving farther from my goal the last couple weeks. Some is stress eating. I need to be mindful of that and CUT IT OUT. I also need to remind myself I am near the MIDDLE of my maintenance range. High-middle, yes, but not bouncing off the ceiling like I was on Tuesday (by scale weight; average lags behind and helps temper those silly spikes). Let's keep at it.

    You are doing great!
    I’ve been planning a 200-250 calorie treat each day (didn’t use to) & that seems to help with the quarantine. I’m taking long walk/hikes which help tremendously with the stress & I have gorgeous uplifting photos to look at.

    You'll notice my reaction to the gain was a lot more reserved than last week. It is what it is; I am paying attention; AND I recognize it's not failure. I'm where I told myself I should be... or at least close enough. I've been eating well; lots of roasted vegetables, but also some bagels (go figure) and I splurged on calorie-dense pre-made burritos from Trader Joe's. I have a few days left to eat them by the "best by" date. And they are pretty tasty. I just skip the potatoes from the roasted vegetables or leave something else out. Except yesterday - 800 calories over. Oh well. Going to get some gardening done today; just me and the plants.

    I had never thought of roasting cabbage before. I can tell you it's really delicious and crisp.

    Yes, I did notice! How does it feel for you?
    I can tell over time, we will both continue to keep track AND become more confident/relaxed.

    I’m eating bagels too. Usually as part of my lunch. One of the things I saw a lot on MFP was β€œyou can eat whatever you want as long as under calories.”) I remain focused on HEALTH l, but I am eating a few things I didn’t let myself eat earlier. So far, so good.

    Any idea why you are 800 more yesterday? Lack of sleep, water, protein, got too hungry, stress...

    I am in maintenance with a goal weight of 143 pounds and an allowable goal range of 140-150 pounds and an IDEAL goal range of 142 - 148. I fluctuate wildly day-to-day, and try to stay fairly steady month-to-month. I often succeed, and sometimes I am not exactly where I want to be. I will update here once per week and report my ten-day average weight.

    March 21, 2019: Ten-day average 143.2 - I was around my lowest average weight on my entire journey and at my ultimate goal near the bottom of IDEAL goal range

    December 21: Ten-day average 145.0 - Middle IDEAL goal range.
    January 21: Ten-day average 144.1 - Near the bottom of IDEAL goal range.
    February 21: In Roatan away from scale; possible average about 144.5 - Near the middle of goal range.
    March 28: Ten-day average 146.3 - In the upper end of IDEAL goal range. Kind of just above the middle of goal range.

    I'm still in my maintenance range. At least I am finally moving close to my goal the last week. I am trying to stop the stress eating.

    I am in maintenance with a goal weight of 143 pounds and an allowable goal range of 140-150 pounds and an IDEAL goal range of 142 - 148. I fluctuate wildly day-to-day, and try to stay fairly steady month-to-month. I often succeed, and sometimes I am not exactly where I want to be. I will update here once per week and report my ten-day average weight.

    April 4, 2019: Ten-day average 143.0 - I was around my lowest average weight on my entire journey and at my ultimate goal near the bottom of IDEAL goal range

    January 4: Ten-day average 145.3 - Near the middle of IDEAL goal range.
    February 4: Ten-day average 145.1 - Near the middle of IDEAL goal range.
    March 4: Ten-day average 144.1 - Near the middle of IDEAL goal range.
    April 4: Ten-day average 146.0 - Just above the middle of IDEAL goal range.

    I gained in March. I could beat myself up about it, but then I step back and realize that I'm still in my maintenance range. In fact, I'm close to the middle of it. My actual ultimate goal weight is near the bottom of the range; it does appear I need more space above than below. Given what we're all going through, I should be quite pleased I haven't gained more than I have.

    Which is my Current Maintenance Range

    The extra hearts were me falling back into Wt Loss Mode not Maintenance. Your question made me realize that so I switched them all back to single hearts.

    I note what fraction of the month I was in maintenance after each month ends. My goal for April is 30/30!
