Weigh less than a month ago challenge

I am in maintenance with a goal weight of 143 pounds and an allowable goal range of 140-150 pounds. I've been gaining slowly from October 1. I update once per week and report my ten-day average weight.
February 8, 2019: Ten-day average 147.0
October 8: Ten-day average 140.1
November 8: Ten-day average 144.4
December 8: Ten-day average 145.0
January 8: Ten-day average 144.9
February 8: Ten-day average 144.5
I had a tough week a couple weeks ago. This week was better, and I'm getting my average weight back to my goal. My scale weight got there today; yay! A week or two of consistency will bring the average back there, too. I am calling this a success because I'm lower than one, two, and three months ago. I left the October in there to remind myself I can do a little better. That October average was pretty much my record low, so it is the most difficult comparison. Doing WAY better than a year ago! I'm calling the 0.1 pounds over November 8 within measurement error, so I'm not counting it against me.

Why am I doing this?
Because it keeps me aware that my goal is 157-153.
Because I gained & now lost some, I can begin to think my weight is good.... It is better, but still in the 🟥’s ie not back in maintenance range yet!1 -

I am in maintenance with a goal weight of 143 pounds and an allowable goal range of 140-150 pounds. I've been gaining slowly from October 1. I update once per week and report my ten-day average weight.
March 7, 2019: 145.6 (Ten-day average 145.2)
December 7: 145.4 (Ten-day average 144.7)
January 7: 144.4 (Ten-day average 145.0)
February 7: 143.4 (Ten-day average 144.8)
March 7: 143.8 (Ten-day average 143.7)
I was pleased I hardly gained any weight on vacation because I really ate and ate and ate. My scale tells me I'm up a half pound from last month, but my average says I'm down over a pound. 🤷♂️ Both my scale and average weights are down from two & three months ago as well as a year ago. Yay!

So, how do you think of your goal range?
Mine is now “In the 150’s”
I use the Green heart 💚 if I’m in that range.
I tell myself “All I need are 💚’s!”
MUCH more relaxing & sane than when I was tracking the numbers more.
So if I take your goal range & recent post, it would look like this:

So, if you’re not happy with 145 or 146, you might want to create a range that makes you happy. So far, you’re doing great in 142-146.3 range
At top Of post you say GW 143. Do you want to have a goal weight in maintenance?
I type all this because I realized that for myself I needed to make a reasonable goal range OR declare I was dieting again with a GW. I realized I was living in Fear of regaining & am determined to shift that.

It's definitely not a delay from my trip. It's what I ate. Some of it will fall off pretty quickly; I had a bagel binge yesterday. A couple days ago, someone brought some pretty tasty doughnuts to my office. Normally I wouldn't even have ONE, but I had two. Evening snacking is another culprit. One day this week I made the last of the sushi rice I had left over from our annual booth. It was tasty, but I didn't need it. I put a fried egg on it, too. Just making some less than ideal food choices. I also think my choices of beers are higher calorie - I am pretty sure the beer I was drinking in Roatan was much less. It's an American style light lager style, and was actually pretty tasty. The last couple days I've been drinking Pelican Beak Breaker and Firestone Walker Union Jack. And I'm not as active sitting at my desk as running up and down stairs and diving.
I also think that while I may not admit it as freely as I should, I am probably more stressed about the virus and our response to it than I should be, and I may be eating my stress. I don't think I'm sleeping as well, either.
Yes, my goal is to bounce around near 143. I'm keeping that number. I just expect to bounce below it as well as above it even though my "allowable" range has more room on top than underneath. So far I haven't had to worry too much about that. Shortly after hitting maintenance, I was concerned I might keep losing. Ha. Not an issue.
It's more about how I react. I need to see that, yes I AM keeping it in my goal range. I forgot the range I post here is a little wider than what I generally want to stay at, which is 142-148. LOTS more room over goal than below. Probably a ten-pound range is healthy, and I'm sticking within that. I just need to shift how I react to being in that range but higher in the range than I'd like.... consistently. When I get to around 146, I worry I'll go up to 148. So I let it get in my head. THAT is what I need to stop. It's really all about how I react. And I do plan to continue to weigh every day.
Bummer is going to be that even though I'm about to drop my scale weight again (it will happen), my trend will still go UP for several days because the lower weight I was maintaining is getting farther in the past, and the five out of six days weren't as good as they should have been. I do need to step back more often and look at the long term trend. I actually HAVE done exactly what I wanted, and yes, I am STILL IN MY GOAL RANGE, so it's just how my silly brain is reacting. Silly brain!
The six-pack of day-old bagels was a terrible decision. I knew I'd get into them, and I did. By this morning, there was only one left. It was a nice breakfast though. And ya know what? I enjoyed every damn one of 'em. I ~might~ not get my regular Sunday bagel tomorrow, but I probably will. But I will NOT get a bag of day-olds. I know better. So why I did it? Because I wanted to! Yep, all along we’ve been in similar mind states. You’ve got this. We are making progress & learning as we go.
BTW I got some Dave’s Killer Cinnamon raisin bagels - had one almost every day for a couple of weeks as part of my lunch. Only 270 cals.
I should not have projected my current focus of making maintenance less fear-based into you.
Re: the virus Yep, I’ve had some whacky dreams & trouble sleeping a few nights early on, but 1) eating too much will just give us TWO problems to deal with & 2) it doesn’t help solve the problem. Let’s be as healthy as we can be going into this!
I’m focusing on what I can control/do & letting go of the rest. Decreased frequency of checking the news. Had a long warm bath tonight & a great rain hike today. I’m actively trying to be less stressed because then I’m less likely to get sick/worn down. Also stress is bad for my Txplanted Kidney.
Think of things that would bring you joy. Do a couple today. Set the virus concerns aside for a day. See if it helps.
