Goal(s) for this round: Get under 215.0 and stay there. Keep up my progress 1) planning better when I'm having "cheat" days (parties, eating out with family and friends, et cetera), 2) limiting alcohol intake (no more than two drinks on any occasion, stick with red wine or spirit + diet soda) and 3) continuing to lift weights at the gym 3x/wk (no more misses without making them up, barring serious circumstances... I might have to miss a day next week again, though... last one).
Day/Weight/Comment
11/09: 216.0 (+0.2)/18.1 (+0.1). I honestly half-expected this number to be much higher. It isn't that I did anything wrong; I worked out last night and I ate "reasonably" reasonably. I think I thought I might have been dehydrated a bit at my last weigh-in, and that this could have accounted for my significant final drop in weight. I had plenty of water yesterday, though. Apparently ~216 is a thing. I'm excited.
11/10: 216.4 (+0.4)/18.1 (0.0). I had a nice brunch with my wife yesterday; totally stayed on plan regarding food quality, but probably had a bit more than I should have regarding quantity. I'm headed in the gym today, and my wife is out with her sister all day, so I should have a "good day" regarding health, fitness, and food intake.
11/11: 215.6 (-0.8)/18.0 (-0.1). I hit the gym hard yesterday, and I stayed within my calories. I'm going to chill today at home and try to limit my snacking.
11/12: 217.2 (+1.6)/18.2 (+0.2). This one is a bit of a headscratcher, unless I go back 2-3 days. Even then, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I limited my snacking significantly yesterday, though dinner was a bit of a $#!+show (not that bad, but could have been better). I'm going to roll with it; I won't let it derail me. I'll be in the gym tonight trying to work this off.
11/13: 216.0 (-1.2)/18.1 (-0.1). So this is a stressful week, I guess. I skipped out on my workout yesterday so I could stay at home and work diligently on meeting my Friday deadline. Things should be better after Friday. A lot better. I'm just going to have to grit my teeth and get through the next few days. I'm going to try to stick to my goal, but I will likely be pretty happy if I was simply able to maintain my starting weight for this round. I did pretty well with food yesterday.
11/14: 216.0 (0.0)/18.1 (0.0). I'm at work already. It's pitch black outside. Not cool. I only slept five hours or so last night, so my weigh-in was likely a little funky. Hopefully I won't be too grouchy today. Food yesterday was fine. I probably won't be in the gym until Saturday morning. Still working on my Friday deadline.
11/15: 215.0 (-1.0)/18.0 (-0.1). There's something to this "skipping one workout per week" thing, at least my scale thinks so. This weekend is going to be a little rough (birthday party, nice dinner out with my wife for our upcoming wedding anniversary), but I'm headed into the weekend in a "good place." I'll be going to the gym tonight with my wife NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Day/Weight/Comment
11/08 …..186.8….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
11/09 …..186.8 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1625 Calories In / 2666 Calories Out. 35 Net Carbs of mainly Spaghetti Squash. 18,221 Total Steps & 7.71 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 25 minutes. Something is going on with my sleep. I am sleeping more hours & even having some fleeting dreams again after decades of none to recall. I hope this is a good thing and not indicative of my recent health issues. Yesterday I walked at the school (no mall in my area) for 4.21 miles which took about 99 minutes and burned 551 extra calories. I also took a small cold walk around my property for 13 minutes burning an additional 66 calories. Total extra calorie burn 617.
11/10 …..186.6 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1150 Calories In / 2873 Calories Out. 28 Net Carbs. 18,138 Total Steps & 7.68 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 44 minutes. (Another great night). I walked for 95 minutes at 3.0 mph to burn 511. I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 54 minutes to burn 265 calories. I did low-impact aerobics for 20 minutes to burn 129 calories. Total extra calorie burn 905. Sunday (today) will also be challenging as the school is closed to walkers. Getting creative again…..
11/11 …..185.8 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1208 Calories In / 3039 Calories Out. 36 Net Carbs. 18,477 Total Steps & 7.82 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 27 minutes. I walked for 17 minutes at 4.0 mph burning 113 cals, I walked for 39 minutes at 3.0 burning 222 cals, I did misc cardio exercises for 31 minutes burning 133 cals and I did my crazy dancing in my livingroom for 58 minutes burning 467 calories. Sample song “While my guitar gently weeps” by the Beatles.
11/12 …..188.6 ….. Now….just to await the result of the CT scans. Yesterday I wore my fitbit on my shoelace most of the day due to pushing carts while shopping for hours after the scans. Took advantage of being in a larger town with real stores. The steps are usually accurate but the calorie burn is not because its not monitoring the heart rate which is part of the formula (I mean, did I really burn over 4,200 calories while walking a lot less steps than my usual day???). Here is what I do know. Over 2000 calories In/ ??? Calories Out. Over 200 Carbs including Pizza. 15,093 Total Steps & 6.39 Total Miles. 9/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 19 minutes. Yesterday was a combination of emotional eating and splurging. Today is redemption day. I will be walking at the school and eating a combined low cal/low carb diet. Tightening the belt. No regrets. No guilt.
11/13 …..188.6 ….. News on my CT scans is basically no definitive news yet. Unfortunately, the CT scan showed the area is worrisome. The Universities Plan: Hand over to special pulmonary radiology specialist to see if a biopsy is recommended. Pet scans can also be used, but at this point, they think it is not enough due to my cancer history and the fact that it could be metastasized breast cancer. So no answers yet. They said it would be a few more days. They did say, at this point, they want all tests/biopsies done right at the University Hospital, not at affiliated places along the way. 4 hours each way & into full blown winter here. I am still hoping for good news in the weeks to come.
On the diet front, more emotional eating very late last night. Thankfully I did well all day, otherwise so no gain on the scale. I hope it doesn’t show up later. I also had severe carb cravings which always follow a carb heavy travel day. I failed that test last night. Yesterday’s stats: 2171 Calories In / 3032 Calories Out. 164 Total Carbs. 21,453 Total Steps & 9.08 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 2 minutes and woke up tired. Yesterday I walked at 3.5 mph for 102 minutes school-hall walking and burned an additional 657 Calories over normal activity. My great stats & burn kept my scale at bay (so far!) I’ve got to stop pushing the limits and get my head back in the game. Thanks to everyone for the continued prayers & hugs.
11/14 …..188.8 ….. There it is on the scale. I knew it would show up from the 12th. I meant to drink more water yesterday but workload got in the way. Opening season for deer opens tomorrow morning so I have had people arriving, coming & going all week. The good news is, lots of calorie burn. The bad news is, lots of hunger and continued emotional eating. I have been doing lots of extra small activities to increase steps & calorie burn while continuing with my daily walk. Yesterday’s stats: 1730 Calories In/3226 Calories Out. 85 Net Carbs. 26,157 Total Steps & 11.07 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 40 minutes and woke up extremely tired. Early guests arriving so no chance for more sleep. I school-hall walked for 122 minutes burning an additional 676 calories over normal activity. All other burn was small spurts of hard working prepping the cabins with extra blankets/pillows and coffee etc. I’ve got to get more diligent with my calorie & carb intake. The LNS, healthy as they may be, still add up. Thanks to everyone for the hugs, kind words and well-wishes yesterday. I plucked them all off the pages and held them close to my heart.
11/15 …..188.0 ….. I’m a bit surprised to see a loss. I was over calorie & carb again yesterday. Disappointed in self. But I’ll take the loss as incentive! Yesterday’s stats: 2081 Calories In / 2834 Calories Out. 88 Net Carbs of Junk mini candy & 2% milk. 20,149 Total Steps & 8.53 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 30 minutes and needed much more, but the Directv technician was scheduled for this morning (still not here!) so I had to get my fat lazy butt up. Yesterday I walked 104 minutes in the school halls and burned 600 calories. I am 1.2 pounds OVER my starting weight this round. Can I at LEAST break even. Stay tuned. Have a great weekend everyone!

NEVER GIVE UP! You can surprise yourself! I have.
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

11/11 122.0 Yesterday was a dinner party at some friends’. I didn’t have control of the menu but I made my meal as un-carby as I could except a small piece of Italian bread (meh) and the crust I couldn’t separate from my (shredded) chicken. I skipped the cake except for a taste.

11/09 160.5 Another pound, that’s very unexpected. I’m sure it will be higher tomorrow. I did see 159 briefly but it’s right there. Walked three last night, they’ve changed my favorite trail a little- made it easier but I prefer the old way. It was more challenging.
11/10 and 11/11 Did not weigh
11/12 164.1 Wow. Yeah, it's sodium as best as I can tell. I didn't eat 4 pounds worth of food since Friday. I got in a long wonderful walk on Saturday before the weather turned cold and we had our first snow of the year. It's 13 degrees right now. Going to the gym tonight.
11/13 163.3 And back down we go wheeeeee. Once again I blew off the gym to go for a walk. It was sunny and inviting while this afternoon is supposed to be overcast and gloomy... I have no excuse. I did walk 3 fast (for me) miles before it got dark. This morning I really wanted to stop for the most delicious chicken biscuit but that thing has over 1310 mg of sodium. I can afford the calories (450) but the amount of sodium is crazy. I crave the crunchy, the slightly sweet and slightly salty deliciousness but instead, I come to the office and have oatmeal and a banana. I try to remind myself 1) oatmeal and fruit are way better than fried chicken and a biscuit 2) the cost of the sandwich is over $3 while the oatmeal/banana total cost is less than $.50 3) Ten minutes after eating the biscuit it feels like a brick in my stomach.
11/14 No Scale Due to work I didn't get to leave KC until after 4:00. It is a 3.5-hour drive but I drink a lot of tea and water so for me, it's 4 hours. Once again I didn't go to the gym because I was grumpy and it was dark and cold. I got my dinner and brought it back to the hotel. I did stay within calories and I got to see my BF for about 10 minutes. Sometimes you have to take the good where you can find it.
11/15 No Scale Good work day yesterday and a 4-mile walk. Stayed under on calories so all good! I look forward to weighing in tomorrow. Fingers crossed I stayed on track sodium wise. Driving home today, it's 45 and sunny so I think you all know I will be stopping for a walk along the river Happy Friday11 -

Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Round 95:
Female, 57 yy, 4'11''
OSW: 177.1 lbs
LTG: 105 - 110.0 lbs or BF 23-25% (or lower)
STG: 110 (next milestone)
Goals for 10 Day Challenge: get back to 112.8 (lowest weight last round) and hold it!
Day/Weight/Comment
EW round 94: 114.8, BF% 27.5
11/09 DNW out of town for start of round. Did intervals this morning with dog and kids - run until HR reached 85% of max, and then walked until it reached 65% (repeat as many reps) so got a nice cardio workout in, though may have put too much strain on my achilles tendon. Went to the health and fitness center in town and was able to get my strength workout in so hopefully worked off the coffee milkshake (with whey protein at least) I had for lunch! Challenge dinner out tonight again!
11/10 DNW Was over on calories yesterday, but not too bad since I switched strength training to Sat from Sun so will just go under target for today. Achilles still a little tender from the intervals yesterday, so treating with ice and ibuprophen (rest + elevation too). Leisurely walk this morning with dog and kids helped, but avoiding any high impact exercise for now! 3 hour drive home, so will try to keep it elevated! Back to normal routine tomorrow and weigh-ins.
11/11 114.6, BF% 27.4 Glad to see a drop after the weekend with ice cream, a milkshake, pasta and wine! Muscle weight increased (if I believe scale :-) so back on track for the round! Incorporating Marcona almonds into the lentil/kale salad (https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/make-ahead-lentil-salad) with grilled chicken tonight!
11/12 114.0, BF% 27.3 Steady drop again! Back to upper end of ideal weight for my height and 1.2 lbs to get back to previous low, but NSV like waist measurements and visible flab are definitely improving! Strength training in the am with trainer, and then will fit cardio in after work. Extra calories today, so fettuccine and shrimp for dinner.
11/13 114.0, BF% 27.2 Holding steady for weight, but BF dropped by 0.1% (often see bumps with increase carbs and weight training). Cardio after work.
11/14 114.0, BF% 27.3 Still holding here… Strength workout today with trainer felt great and that I am making progress! Followed up after work with spin class for cardio - average HR at 78% of max for the class.
11/15 113.6, BF% 27.1 Yes - going down! Not the typical whoosh of a pound (which usually bounce around more) but modest drop so might be more stable! Spin class this morning for cardio and going out for dinner tonight with family. Likely sushi so may see a bump with sodium tomorrow but should be OK calorie wise. Not likely to get back to low of last round, but OK with this total loss if can hold here!

Starting weight: 178lbs
Goal weight for round 95: 174lbs
11/9: n/a
11/10: n/a
11/11: 178 This is my starting weight for the challenge. I had a bit of a binge these last few days and I weighed at the end of the day today, but I’m looking forward to starting fresh tomorrow. Maybe I can curb my cookie obsession for the rest of this week.
11/12: 176.6 Weighed in this morning rather than waiting until tonight. Going to try to eat a little less and a little healthier today, weighing in was a good reminder.
11/13: 175.0 Worked all day yesterday and stayed within my calorie limits (barely!). Even tried to work out a little when I got home, which was more tiring than I remembered since it’s been a while since I worked out. Happy to see the numbers going down consistently though, so let’s see if we can replicate it today on my off day.
11/14: -Did not Weigh- Did pretty good the day before. I ate out for lunch and realized when I logged that it wiped out almost all of my calorie limit, which was a real eye opener about my eating habits. I managed to stay under the rest of the day. I didn’t weight this morning because I ended up spending the night with friends the night before and going out all day.
11/15: 177.0 I spent all of the 14th on a shopping spree trip where I ate too much and had desserts with friends, which really showed up in today’s weigh in. I’m super disappointed in my lack of self control, but I don’t want to let one setback keep me from continuing forward.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

My goals this round is (1) to see at least 4 days under 140 (2) drop my 10 day average another pound and (3) not to have a weight higher than 142.00. I would also like to see 138.xxx on the scale, but with 2 weekends in this round and starting so high from last round we will see what happens.
(started rnd 58 only include last 5 rounds of stats)
Round 90: 143.7 - 140.9 Avg 142.68
Round 91: 140.9 - 143.6 Avg 143.62
Round 92: 143.6 - 141.5 Avg 142.01
Round 93: 141.5 - 142.3 Avg 143.21
Round 94: 142.3 - 143.4 Avg 140.93
11/09 - 140.7 back down today. My husband wants to go and try this new Mexican food place that just opened so I am sure I will be back up. I don't know what is up with him and eating out the last couple of days, but it is his birthday so all I can do is fight through my sodium gains.
11/10 - 144.3 dang this is from a Bloody Mary and my food yesterday. I am pretty sure I was at maintenance calories, but the sodium was through the roof. I am going to try and drink a lot of water today.
11/11 - 143.4 well I am back down to my Fridays weight. I am so glad my husbands bday weekend is over and I can get back to normal. I was under calories yesterday, but didn't get my water in at all. Although I did have to go and get my ring from the jeweler yesterday and was shocked it fit even with my sodium intake. I took in it 2 weeks ago to get it re-sized. I had to have it taken in 2 sizes because I was worried I was going to lose it, since it was so loose. I am now a size 6 on my ring finger, lol!
11/12 - 141.3 And we are going back down after a decent amount of water yesterday. On track for today and dinner should be low calorie tonight. Maybe I will see 139.xx again tomorrow.
11/13 - 139.7 Back down to my lowest number this month. I am hoping by Friday I will see a new low, but not holding my breath. I was under yesterday just by a little, no alcohol, and plenty of water. That's 2 days in a row and on my way to a 3rd. I am going to try and do 5 days straight with all 3 of those things and see what happens.
11/14 - 139.7 Hopefully I don't see an uptick tomorrow from last nights shenanigans. We ended up going to a college basketball game unexpectedly and I had a really big hamburger, and a couple of beers, but I did not eat any fries. I know I was a little over, so I expected it to show today. Sometimes it takes 2 days to show, but maybe I wasn't as bad as I thought. I am trying my best today to be under calories, no alcohol, and drink a ton of water to avoid that uptick. We will see what happens I guess.
11/15 - 140.6 And there is that bump up that I was talking about. It wasn't that bad though, so I am ok with it. Had a great day yesterday and working on one for today. Hopefully I can get somewhere next week.

@gwensgrannie, love the grannie moniker..............I'm one too! I have 3 grandkids so far and hopefully one more in the works. My daughter had a miscarriage recently so we're waiting for another chance.
At 69, and still in somewhat decent shape, I can tell you that your family needs you so keep up the great work. Sodium is a bi***but you're still losing so try to cut back, but there are other macro/micros that are more important!
BTW, I was close to where you are weight wise about 6 years ago (highest weight was 235) so it is is possible to change things!
We're all a work in progress!8 -
@fitlulu4150 Thanks for the healing thought and positive vibes!
@matratazola Saw you are running a 6K for Breast Cancer charity. Sending heartfelt hugs!
@merph518 I like the new profile pic and congrats on doing so well this round!

Hi. My name is Trina.
I'm till trying to get down to 128, before officially starting to maintain, but mostly want to stay under 130. Also trying to keep stress levels in check and not succumb to comfort snacking. Chemo starts November 20 and it is starting to wig me out (pun intended...sort of!).

11/09 130.5 I did a ton of exercise yesterday, thinking weight is partially DOMS. However, doing a lot of comfort snacking today...so tomorrow that will be to blame for the still high number!
11/10 131.5 Snacking yesterday. I was stressed, hungry, cranky. Also went out for a burger/fries and a beer last night. I got carded and refused a beer (apparently that is the law here, although my husband and I and my friends of 50+ years have never had this problem before!) Just drank half of both of HIS beers. (Which means all the calories were his, right?)
11/11 131.5 Bummer. Time to get this lower again!
11/12 132.5 Sigh. Too much snacking yesterday.

OSW 88KG
RSW 61.65 kg (-26.35kg) or {- 58 lbs}
Goal... Less than I started
11/09 61.30 kg. A loss but not enough to make up for the end of last round. Going to push to get back under 60kg before I go on a work trip on Thursday.
11/10 60.45kg and a loss is always good but I think I'm dehydrated as I don't drink my usual 4l of water yesterday. Having a busy weekend with very little sleep and no exercise. Working on getting back below 60kg
11/11 60.15kg. Trainer was on a mission today!
11/12 60.6kg no issues and it will be coming down.
11/13 60.9kg which isn't in the right direction but as Sunday is my official weigh day I have time to get it off. Work trip cancelled so I don't have to worry about food choices on those days.
11/14 59.95kg which is great! Working to keep under 60kg and get a new low before the end of the round.
11/15 60.0kg a great way to go into the weekend. Need a break from the trainer! 😅
11/16 59.55kg but probably a false low caused by my upset tummy and I ate a lot yesterday . Will see how far I can go from the bathroom today! 😞

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 95 (round 27 for me ) I'm in for another round, to continue losing my cheeky pre-Brexit weeks holiday gain. The wedding vow renewal for our friends is today and I failed to lose a couple of pounds to be comfortable in the dress I planned on wearing, I shall have to wear a different one! I only have myself to blame .

11/10 DNW – away in hotel – walked 6.46 miles yesterday, controlled my food intake as well as I could when at a hotel and eating their prepared menu, also controlled alcohol intake well. Lets see what the scales say in the morning!!

11/15 135.6 – better – 3.94 miles walked yesterday all chasing my 18 month old DGS round. Good food day within macros.
11/16 135.4 – 11.6 miles walked yesterday, a good full on 2 hours ballroom and latin dancing last night, but a wake up call for me, so much back fat at the moment, there and my midriff is where those extra pounds sit . Need to lose it!! Had to change my outfit for last night as was not happy with how my original skirt and top pronounced the bulge. Sigh! oh well hope that keeps me mindful of what passes my lips!!

11/16-150.2 back to work in the gym and unexpected TOM yesterday. I stayed on track for calories yesterday but my peanut butter and beef jerky binge (lol eaten separately) meant I didn’t get dinner. Not smart, felt cranky and disappointed with myself- did I mention TOM came early??!!! Explains the negative thought patterns.
Today is a bright new day and I’m going to try again to stick to my actual meal plan not just my calories.13 -
Intro:Let me introduce myself. I struggled with my weight as a teen, topping out at nearly 200. I dropped it after high school and got to a healthy weight. Every major life changed has brought weight back on - having kids, pre-menopause, menopause, family tragedy, post menopause. I've knocked it back down each time, and have been surprised that each time required a different strategy, and resulted in a different type of lifestyle change to maintain. Each time as been much harder and slower. At this point, it's moving off at a snail's pace.
Motivation. I have a hyatial hernia. It does not bother me as long as I keep the weight at 150 or below. Every female on my mother's side has had arthritic knees, and I'm starting to feel twinges. They have also sustained falls and broken bones. My husband had a major health scare a coupe of years ago. The idea of being put out of commission by a preventable injury or illness scares the bejimminies out of me.
Goals. The goals at this stage are to drop weight to a healthy range, realign my eating style to a lifestyle that will keep me healthy into my golden years, and strengthen the muscles that support my knees, ankles, and shoulders, along with my core, to prevent injury.
Dropping weight post menopausal has been so difficult, I need this to be the last time. 10-15 pounds used to be easy to drop, so that was always my warning bell to focus. Not so much now. Looks like a 3-5 pound fluctuation will be it.
A healthy weight for me is 135-140. I've always looked anorexic at 120. We'll see how things are at 135, and go from there.
Strategy: Up the hydrating foods. Fruit with breakfast. Salad/veggies as bulk of lunch. Healthy dinner. Limit/eliminate processed carbs and sugars. Zero calorie intake after 8pm. Strength exercises 3 days on/1 day rest. Regular movement through day to compensate for desk job.
Female. Age 62 / 5'2"
OW: 158.5 (12/30/18)
UG: 135.0 (for now, healthy weight for me)
R95 SW: 146.3
R95 GW: 146.0 (you'll see why in a sec)
11/09 (S) 146.3 I was firmly in the 147's the week prior (147.1 on the 8th) This is a whoosh. Hoping it is the result of a modification to my WOE, where I've added fruit to breakfast and a handful of greens to lunch.
11/10 (S) 147.0 The expected spike after a whoosh. Had a higher than normal fat breakfast Saturday morning, skipped lunch, and had frozen appetizers (high sodium) for dinner watching the Xfinity Race (we're big NASCAR fans here). Skipped fruit altogether. Did have a salad with the appetizer dinner).
11/11(M) 147.0 Another big Sunday breakfast with high fat and no fruit. Skipped lunch. Again. Tacos during the Monster Cup Race. Higher fat than one expects. Sodium was high as well, so drink extra water to accommodate - and that looks to be a successful strategy. Blueberries for an evening snack.
So. Next weekend are the Championship races for all 3 series. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We make a huge big deal out of this. It's my family's Super Bowl. I need to plan ahead so I'm not stuck in kitchen and we have plenty to eat. I also need to make sure I'm moving early and afterwards - that's a lot of TV time.
11/12 (T) 146.9 Nice. Ripped the water intake, and stayed on plan. Tried a new recipe for gazpacho for lunch! Have enough of the ingredients for a second batch for lunch today! Had salmon cakes for dinner. Family tradition calls for fried white potatoes as a side 😳 I splurged with a half size portion and added a spinach salad. Win for everyone. 😊
Having the family in Sunday for the big race 🏁 Decided on a menu of chili w/ground turkey & a big bowl of salad. Oven baked chicken strips for the kiddos. Fruit & salad tray and hummus with low carb flat bread for snacks should keep me and daughter in-law out of the inevitable chips & dip. I think I've got this!
11/13 (W) 146.4 These are morning weigh ins. Yesterday was an on track day for eating and water intake. Worked late, missed dinner so had an after 8pm snack. I could have easily ditched my strength exercises, but dragged myself out of chair once I was fueled up. Good day!
11/14 (T) 147.0 Ugh. Skipped workout. Missed breakfast. Canned soup with big sodium for lunch. Last two days of work have been brutal prepping for a monthly briefing. Stress + long hours + high sodium + reduction in water intake + skipped workout. Had a pretty good idea it would show up on scale. Need to get back on track today. Still have time to end round at goal.
11/15 (F) 146.6 Work is still nuts. I did get some aerobics in early. Was mindful of water intake, and back on eating plan. I'm fortunate to not have to severely limit sodium, but it's clear that high sodium days pull me off target.
11/16 (S) 147.9 Ugh. All on me. I missed breakfast and lunch, and ended up grazing. Exhausted at the end of the day, I ended up ordering dinner in. Half a calzone. Imagine the sodium and high fat will meet a setback on the scale. Will need to focus. I've got the family Race Day here tomorrow. Good news is I have shopping and lots of cleaning to do - that and upping water should help get this back down.

Driving home today, it's 45 and sunny so I think you all know I will be stopping for a walk along the river Happy Friday
11/16 160.2 yeah! That was better than expected. I really need to be good this weekend I want to end the round overweight and not obese. Long day yesterday drove home from StL had to go another 45 minutes west of KC for a meeting then back home. I got in a three mile walk along the Kaw River at sunset.
