I like to weigh every day to keep me accountable - knowing that I will be weighing in the morning sometimes stops me from continuing to eat at night : - )

November result: 0.4lb loss

Day 71, Fri, 1/31: 159.7
January result: Gain 0.2 pounds
Day 72, Sat, 2/1: 158.1 - exactly the same as Day 1 of 100 days
Day 100, Sat, 2/29: 154.4
February result: Loss 3.7
Total loss over 100 days: 3.7 pounds

Day 1 - Sunday March 01.20 - 155.3 - up almost a pound from yesterday.
Day 13 - Friday March 13.20 - 152.1 - Wow, all of the hard work is showing some progress! New low.
Day 31 - Tuesday March 31.20 - 156.9 - burned lots of calories, consumed under calories but still showed an uptick on the scale.
March results: Kind of a bust, 1.6 pounds gained
Day 32 04.01.20 - 155.4 - I think that March was hard for everyone. Onward to April.
Day 33 04.02.20 - 154.8 - Seeing a drop in the scale motivates me more than anything else at all. Almost back to end of February weight. That 0.4 is my next goal.
Day 34 Friday 04.03.20 - 155.4 - No sleep last night. I weighed myself and was up 3 pounds, so went back to bed for some snoozes listening to the bedside radio. Really on track, so hoping to see a drop tomorrow.

Day 36 – Sunday 04.05 - 155.7
Day 37 – Monday 04.06 - 155.5
Day 38 – Tuesday 04.07 - 156.3 - Low calorie dinner that had lots of sodium (olive juice). I had extra workouts and had almost 1,000 calories left over in the tracker, but I drank so much liquid because the sodium made me very thirsty. I am sure that my numbers will be back down tomorrow : - )
Day 39 – Wednesday 04.08 - 155.5 - had hoped for more, I will stay at it.
Day 40 – Thursday 04.09 - 155.2 - Really need to get down to the end of the last 100 days...and beyond. I do have more time for working out now, and have begun some garden clean-up.
Day 41 – Friday 04.10 - 156.3 - Argh, deflated at this number...So I had Ribs.
Day 42 – Saturday 04.11- 156.7 - Yesterday's number made me sort of give up and eat whatever I wanted. This will take days of diligence to undo.
Day 43 – Sunday 04.12 - 155.7 - Okay, I am back to being motivated now that I have seen a drop.
Day 44 – Monday 04.13 - 156.3 - Going to almost ignore that number, I am getting in lots of extra workouts and kept my calories consumed low. Definitely feeling leaner even though the scale didn't show it today. Up 4.2 pounds since March 13.
Day 45 – Tuesday 04.14 - 157.5 - Sticking with the plan, I believe this number to be a weird fluctuation, I have been on point on all fronts, and have been working out much more since being out of work, and eating better too. Really expecting a big drop soon.
Day 46 – 04/15 - 155.5 - Okay, almost back to day 32 weight. Now to get rid of January and March gains of 1.8 total ... and beyond. Up 1.1 still from the first 100 EW.
Day 47 – 04/16 - 154.9 - Gosh this is soooo hard! Fighting for every ounce.
Day 48 – 04/17 - 156.1 - Argh
Day 49 – Saturday 04/18 - 155.6
Day 50 – Sunday 04/19 - 155.6 - Better than gaining, but really want to get below April 1st weight. Going to stick with the plan. 1/2 way through the 100 days and I am higher than day 1 of this round.
Day 51 – Monday 04/20 - 156.7
Day 52 – Tuesday 04/21 - 155.3 - Okay.
Day 53 – Wednesday 04/22 - 154.3 - 8 days left of this month, let's do this!
Day 54 – Thursday 04/23 - 154.5 - Wanting to finish this month strong - 7 days to get 1 pound off hopefully.
Day 55 – Friday 04/24 - 154.4 - Burned my calories in the garden today, we'll see how that shows up tomorrow morning.
Day 56 – Saturday 04/25 - 154.4 - Going to add some Zumba before hitting the garden today, at least a song or 3.
Day 57 – Sunday 04/26 - 155.3 : - (
Day 58 – 04/27 - 156.0 - No reason whatsoever for this gain, I had 1100 calories left over after a great deal of activity yesterday. Maybe my body will catch up.
Day 59 – 04/28 - 156.0 - turkey dinner
Day 60 – 04/29 - 155.6 - low sleep. I don't expect a miracle tomorrow, but definitely hoping for one lol.
Day 61 – 04/30 - 154.6 - got some sleep.
April result - 0.8 pound loss - Still 3.5 pounds down in 161 days - not nearly fast enough for all of the work that I put in. 39 days until the end of this 100 days, going to do my best.1 -
@dawnbgethealthy I am from a very small farming/hunting/fishing type of town so getting out to a city that has chain/name brand restaurants is very exciting. I do love to try them for sure! There is also the issue that many of my travel days are about 10 - 12 hours long. As a diabetic I have to eat but I do try to eat midway so that it will only be one meal, then I enjoy something new. However, you are right. To gain 3-7 pounds overnight from one meal is ridiculous. I know that it is usually water weight, however, so I have learned over time to take that in stride. I do hate it when, 2 or 3 days later, any of the weight is still there because that signals real weight gain which is what I try to avoid. Certainly I do want to lose weight and get healthy, but I want to experience those things also that so many take from granted when they are not sitting in the woods surrounded by the Amish community and farms like I am. While I try to enjoy life and new experiences, I have to remember to watch those carbs! If not for my weight, then at least for my diabetes. That is the hard part! It's a journey filled with hills and curves for sure, but I'll get there. I enjoy the exercise and even the dieting for the most part. I really do. I just need to make good choices no matter where I am. If my choices are not perfect, then I need to watch Quantities!!!!
I love all the ideas I get from MFP. It really helps! I enjoyed my egg whites last night which prevented a binge (protein fills me).1 -

Day 48 – 04/17 …….202.3…… I did five smaller sets of walking yesterday so I feel good about that. No glucose drops so it was MUCH EASIER to stick to plan. Luckily I also had no cravings or ravenous hunger so I am doing well so far this week. Today I may run to the Post Office (if I can get away) and I may try to rake up around another melting snow hill on my business property. Mainly, I just want to keep up the momentum.
Day 49 – 04/18 …….202.3…… I followed my plan perfectly yesterday. I got in 5 small walks totaling over 80 minutes and kept my calories and carbs low. I wish the scale would have budged, maybe tomorrow.
Day 50 – 04/19 …….202.5…… A small cheat last night so today I will be laser-focused.
Day 51 – 04/20 ..…..202.5…… Traveling today which is likely to show up on the scale tomorrow, but supplies are a must!
Day 52 – 04/21 …….204.7…… Out of town yesterday which included restaurant food eaten in the car. I miss the dining experience. I made choices that were enjoyable but not compliant or smart. Back at it today and excited for it. Cold & snowy today. Snow off & on with only a little of it sticking. Too cold for outdoor activity so I’ll be doing some exercise indoors today.
Day 53 – 04/22 …….204.7…… I love the results but I hate the process. When the results don’t come either, it just plain sux. Ugg! Maybe a whoosh tomorrow?
Day 54 – 04/23 …....204.5…… Not exactly a whoosh but a step in the right direction. I’ve got to stay focused. Laser focused. I HATE where I am at right now!
Day 55 – 04/24 …....203.6…… Doing the happy dance right now. I am so proud of myself. I have been doing a rotation of exercises to keep my body guessing. Today I will throw in more Zumba Fitness Marshall along with my ski machine and some walking! I rocked yesterday!!!! It payed off. Praying for another good day that is not too hard.
Day 56 – 04/25 ..…..202.7…… I am planning some more outside exercise and activity today. I am thrilled with the drop on the scale. I burned an extra 1000 calories yesterday so that is probably what did it. I really need to increase my water though.
Day 57 – 04/26 …....204.3…… Emergency travel yesterday. Food ended up being Chinese which always makes me retain water. It was delicious though. Today I will work on getting the bloat down. I did fit it some spurts of activity. I did not get to the yard work because of leaving home. Today, being Sunday, is a busy day for me so I will be busy. Tomorrow, the scale read should be better. I was able to stop and get some carton egg whites so I am happy about that!
Day 58 – 04/27 …….203.2…… Better!
Day 59 – 04/28 …….203.1…… A long day in a city far away!
Day 60 – 04/29 …….208.4…… OMG. Too much Asian food of late (during travels). Traveling 3 times in the past week is not typical for me but it was necessary. Bad choices in food I guess. I kept the meals in small quantities but it still adds up! I hope a lot of this is bloat.
Day 61 – 04/30 …….207.9…… I am shedding the water from all the travel. Thai & Chinese really makes me retain the water! Can the month of May get me under 200? Let’s give it a try!

@deepwoodslady and @dawnbgethealthy I certainly learned about the sodium this past weekend.
Usually my sodium intake is under 2300 mg.
However, last Saturday, I ate 1266 calories, had a 4000 mg intake of sodium and gained 2 lbs the next day. [Day 56 to Day 57]
I was so surprised because I stayed near 1200 calories but that didn't matter, lol.1 -
Round 4, I feel like I can obtain my goal this round.

So sodium is our undoing. It doesn't make much sense how dramatically it impacts the scale.
We have to eat Chinese food every once in awhile!
I know people that eat out almost every day, but they don't have weight problems. I just can't eat out or I gain.
I still plan to eat out every once in awhile when places open back up, but I have to be prepared for weight gain for doing so.

Luckily I also had no cravings or ravenous hunger so I am doing well so far this week. Today I may run to the Post Office (if I can get away) and I may try to rake up around another melting snow hill on my business property. Mainly, I just want to keep up the momentum.
Day 49 – 04/18 …….202.3…… I followed my plan perfectly yesterday. I got in 5 small walks totaling over 80 minutes and kept my calories and carbs low. I wish the scale would have budged, maybe tomorrow.
Day 50 – 04/19 …….202.5…… A small cheat last night so today I will be laser-focused.
Day 51 – 04/20 ..…..202.5…… Traveling today which is likely to show up on the scale tomorrow, but supplies are a must!
Day 52 – 04/21 …….204.7…… Out of town yesterday which included restaurant food eaten in the car. I miss the dining experience. I made choices that were enjoyable but not compliant or smart. Back at it today and excited for it. Cold & snowy today. Snow off & on with only a little of it sticking. Too cold for outdoor activity so I’ll be doing some exercise indoors today.
Day 53 – 04/22 …….204.7…… I love the results but I hate the process. When the results don’t come either, it just plain sux. Ugg! Maybe a whoosh tomorrow?
Day 54 – 04/23 …....204.5…… Not exactly a whoosh but a step in the right direction. I’ve got to stay focused. Laser focused. I HATE where I am at right now!
Day 55 – 04/24 …....203.6…… Doing the happy dance right now. I am so proud of myself. I have been doing a rotation of exercises to keep my body guessing. Today I will throw in more Zumba Fitness Marshall along with my ski machine and some walking! I rocked yesterday!!!! It payed off. Praying for another good day that is not too hard.
Day 56 – 04/25 ..…..202.7…… I am planning some more outside exercise and activity today. I am thrilled with the drop on the scale. I burned an extra 1000 calories yesterday so that is probably what did it. I really need to increase my water though.
Day 57 – 04/26 …....204.3…… Emergency travel yesterday. Food ended up being Chinese which always makes me retain water. It was delicious though. Today I will work on getting the bloat down. I did fit it some spurts of activity. I did not get to the yard work because of leaving home. Today, being Sunday, is a busy day for me so I will be busy. Tomorrow, the scale read should be better. I was able to stop and get some carton egg whites so I am happy about that!

Day 1 - Sunday March 01.20 - 155.3 - up almost a pound from yesterday.
Day 13 - Friday March 13.20 - 152.1 - Wow, all of the hard work is showing some progress! New low.
Day 31 - Tuesday March 31.20 - 156.9 - burned lots of calories, consumed under calories but still showed an uptick on the scale.
March results: Kind of a bust, 1.6 pounds gained
Day 32 04.01.20 - 155.4 - I think that March was hard for everyone. Onward to April.
Day 45 – Tuesday 04.14 - 157.5 - Sticking with the plan, I believe this number to be a weird fluctuation, I have been on point on all fronts, and have been working out much more since being out of work, and eating better too. Really expecting a big drop soon.
Day 58 – 04/27 - 156.0 - No reason whatsoever for this gain, I had 1100 calories left over after a great deal of activity yesterday. Maybe my body will catch up.
Day 59 – 04/28 - 156.0 - turkey dinner
Day 60 – 04/29 - 155.6 - low sleep. I don't expect a miracle tomorrow, but definitely hoping for one lol.

Day 1 - Sunday March 01.20 - 155.3 - up almost a pound from yesterday.
Day 13 - Friday March 13.20 - 152.1 - Wow, all of the hard work is showing some progress! New low.
Day 31 - Tuesday March 31.20 - 156.9 - burned lots of calories, consumed under calories but still showed an uptick on the scale.
March results: Kind of a bust, 1.6 pounds gained
Day 32 04.01.20 - 155.4 - I think that March was hard for everyone. Onward to April.
Day 45 – Tuesday 04.14 - 157.5 - Sticking with the plan, I believe this number to be a weird fluctuation, I have been on point on all fronts, and have been working out much more since being out of work, and eating better too. Really expecting a big drop soon.
Day 58 – 04/27 - 156.0 - No reason whatsoever for this gain, I had 1100 calories left over after a great deal of activity yesterday. Maybe my body will catch up.
Day 59 – 04/28 - 156.0 - turkey dinner
Day 60 – 04/29 - 155.6 - low sleep. I don't expect a miracle tomorrow, but definitely hoping for one lol.
Day 61 – 04/30 - 154.6 - got some sleep.

Yup, cruel. Averaging 0.7 pounds of weight loss for a whole month, one indulgent eating day could take 2 months to get back off. Really sucks, but it is what it is.0 -

@dawnbgethealthy Yes, I have started with the stage 1 person, not Caleb. I have not done it lately because I moved in the ski machine (my son's favorite) and it takes up my entire small livingroom. So I have been putting some time on that. I plan to get outside more for walking and hiking as the weather continues to improve. However, exercise and music at the same time is the best!1

Yes @deepwoodslady , music and exercise at the same time is the quickest, funnest, and easiest way to blast lost of calories and fat. Now that I am not going out to work I will put youtube on my phone, laptop, or TV with the plan of doing 2 or 3 songs to loosen up my body and I find myself 10 songs later! It doesn't really feel like exercise to me, just fun dancing. I got out for a really great walk in the bush yesterday. It was super windy here, but not in the forest.1

Day 57 – 04/26 …....204.3…… Emergency travel yesterday. Food ended up being Chinese which always makes me retain water. It was delicious though. Today I will work on getting the bloat down. I did fit it some spurts of activity. I did not get to the yard work because of leaving home. Today, being Sunday, is a busy day for me so I will be busy. Tomorrow, the scale read should be better. I was able to stop and get some carton egg whites so I am happy about that!

Day 60 – 04/29 …….208.4…… OMG. Too much Asian food of late (during travels). Traveling 3 times in the past week is not typical for me but it was necessary. Bad choices in food I guess. I kept the meals in small quantities but it still adds up! I hope a lot of this is bloat.
Day 61 – 04/30 …….207.9…… I am shedding the water from all the travel. Thai & Chinese really makes me retain the water! Can the month of May get me under 200? Let’s give it a try!

Day 64 – 05/03 - 155.3 - I had Ribs last night. I knew that my weight would go up. I used to have them once per week, then once per month. So delicious, but soooo fattening. I expected the 2 pound gain, and yeah, it goes on way faster than we can take it off.

I really don't get the whole sodium thing.
Weight gain from Ribs I can understand because they are 2100 calories which is almost 2 days worth of food. They probably have lots of sodium too, but I expect to gain at least 2 pound every time I have them.
The chinese food however shouldn't be too calorie laden and generally has vegetables etc., but it being loaded with sodium immediately boosts our weight. Hmm. Does it just trap all of our water which causes us to expand?0 -

@dawnbgethealthy The sodium is a killer for sure but it is more than that. I am also following a low carb diet (best choice for diabetics). I try ti keep it keto style and so I try to stay in the fat burning process eating higher fats & proteins and low carb. When I eat carbs, my liver fills back up with water (glycogen). That can be up to 10 pounds overnight! When the weight starts coming back off, its more water from the liver (and the body retention if sodium was involved too), than it is actual fat loss. I usually battle for several days (or more) just to get back to burning fat instead of carbs and the craving for carbs is unbearable (it wants to win the battle). Just low calorie diets tend to hurt my diabetes so this has to be a way of life for me. The secret is to stay on the lower carbs for long stretches, STOP CONFUSING MY BODY with too many "cheat days" and really work on the glucose numbers as they can stabilize which actually helps with the weight loss due to the way fats are stored (and cravings). Its a science really. Bottom line: I've got to get my #&%$ together. I also have to increase my exercise slowly and deliberately because that can definitely cause sugar drops which brings on the emergency eating (which can fill my liver back up and cause 3-10 pounds of gain again! Ugggg. As a diabetic, I know what I need to do. Moderate exercise and low carb healthy eating. I know what the "bad foods" are, even if they are good for others. I just have to do it. And no one can do it for me, it's all on my shoulders. The battle continues....but I will WIN IT. I just don't know exactly when.2

Day 63 – 05/02 ……..207.2…… I ate back some of my calories yesterday, but not all. I feel good that I am heading in the right direction, just not fast enough. Isn’t it TOTALLY UNFAIR that so many pounds can come on overnight (See April 28 & 29), but moves back down so much slower? It’s something to think about when choosing the meals.
Day 64 – 05/03 ……..207.5…… One 12 oz glass of 2% milk and BAM the scale goes up. Not sodium filled and lower fat so sometimes I just feel so hopeless. A busy day today so, at least, I will get all my movement in.
Day 65 – 05/04 …….205.7…… I’m so happy today that I could scream!!!!!!
Day 66 – 05/05 …….205.0…… Thrilled to see it continuing to move down. Travel tomorrow so that will be a set-back but I will try to make delicious choices but not go “hog wild”. It will have to be a cheat and rest day. A long trip to pick up the pre-ordered pre-cut carpeting.
Day 67 – 05/06 …….204.9…… I am traveling today again to go downstate to the city to pick up the carpeting I ordered. I won’t be perfect, I am not aiming for perfection. But I will try to be mindful and reasonable and in better control than usual because I’m so happy with my progress these last couple of days.

Day 1 - Sunday March 01.20 - 155.3 - up almost a pound from yesterday.
Day 13 - Friday March 13.20 - 152.1 - Wow, all of the hard work is showing some progress! New low.
Day 31 - Tuesday March 31.20 - 156.9 - burned lots of calories, consumed under calories but still showed an uptick on the scale.
March results: Kind of a bust, 1.6 pounds gained
Day 32 04.01.20 - 155.4 - I think that March was hard for everyone. Onward to April.
Day 45 – Tuesday 04.14 - 157.5 - Sticking with the plan, I believe this number to be a weird fluctuation, I have been on point on all fronts, and have been working out much more since being out of work, and eating better too. Really expecting a big drop soon.
Day 58 – 04/27 - 156.0 - No reason whatsoever for this gain, I had 1100 calories left over after a great deal of activity yesterday. Maybe my body will catch up.
Day 59 – 04/28 - 156.0 - turkey dinner
Day 60 – 04/29 - 155.6 - low sleep. I don't expect a miracle tomorrow, but definitely hoping for one lol.
Day 61 – 04/30 - 154.6 - got some sleep.
April result - 0.8 pound loss
- 3.5 pounds down over 161 days - not nearly fast enough for all of the work that I put in.

This kind of reminds me of when I took Kinesiology a very long time ago in University. I definitely recognize some of those words that you are using : - )
I have known many friends and family members with diabetes, they definitely need to be strict with their carb and fat intake. : - (
Hopefully your continued weight loss will really help you with the diabetes. Of course I don't know what kind of medication that you are on or anything.
Never skipping meals, less processed carbs, healthy fats in moderation, more beans and fibre, less red meat right? Keeping the blood sugar from dropping or spiking must be a real juggling act.
