So what the heck? Someone disagreed with my weekly update post. What exactly did you disagree with? How does one disagree with someone when they are only talking about their own experience? Please explain.6

@Aerohead21 Hope the baby is feeling better. I can't imagine having twins and the work that involves. Do the best you can while taking care of them and keep hydrating so you don't get run down as easily.
@speyerj I'm wondering if the disagree meant to hit hug. The disagree face is so close to the word hug. Even though the scales didn't go as expected I think you did a great job on hitting your weekly goals plus you lost a half inch. I think most of us are going to facing some struggles until after the first of the year. Thankfully we can come here for support to get through them.
@HurleyHurley Congrats on getting the workouts in and I know you will be fine without the trainer this week. Keep sweating it!
@mmdeveau You are crushing the couch to 5k!! That's a very nice scale drop after such a fluctuation. I'd be afraid to hit you with a feather in case it knocked your britches off lol. I'm sorry but that image of your pants falling does make me giggle. Of course I would make sure you were ok first but then I would probably laugh. Love the name change suggestion and am so happy to see @BrownSugar174 in the house!!
@torihudson6 What a very nice compliment to get. All the hard work is paying off in many ways.
@orangequilt Your London trip sounds wonderful! Glad you are on track for your goals this month.
@pamiede Enjoy your new clothes. You can be all diva like and do those changes with a big smile to celebrate all you've accomplished this year.
Lots of baking and cooking going on in the group. I made up homemade Reese candy today. When I input the recipe and figured up calories per serving my jaw hit the floor. I got 77 servings out of a 9x13 at 170cal per serving. Dang!! I knew it would probably be quite a bit but wasn't expecting that high. Still have sausage balls, death by cream cheese bars, rotel cheese dip, and little smokies in the crockpot all to do tomorrow. We have the extended family here so need to tidy up house also.
Stay strong whether on point, maintaining, or winging it. We've all been doing well. Let's celebrate and enjoy the holidays with an eye forward to the new year.

@speyerj I am so sorry, I think that was me @bluffgirl67 is exactly right, that was meant to be a (big) hug, not a disagree. Apparently I haven’t taken inches off my thumbs yet. I am sorry for the distress!! That has happened to me on several posts before and I can’t tell if I said something controversial (in which case I would love a discussion) or if it was an operator error. You are doing an amazing job and I am so grateful for you sharing your experience!5

Thanks Alicia for the explanation. I see this a lot on the public forums where someone has poured their soul into a post and another person "disagrees" with them. I didn't want to think that was happening here.
True confession, back when they had the "woo" button, I thought it mean "woohoo" and used it a few times in absolutely the wrong context until I figured it out.
I do think we need a woohoo button. And a laugh button. Like just isn't enough sometimes.7 -
I'm leaving tomorrow evening to visit my family out of state so won't be doing a weigh in on Friday. I hope everyone has a great Christmas! I'll be back in the January thread and will have more specific goals nailed down then.8

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! So excited! Just took my homemade macaroni and cheese out of the oven! I did really good not nibbling while I was making it! The cheese roux is sooooo good I kept humming my way through each time I wanted to taste it😂😂. I’m making my turkey meatloaf mix and seasoning my chicken tonight (and cooking it tomorrow and seasoned mixed greens). We are having sweet potato pie and peach cobbler (courtesy of Patti Labelle🥰🥰) and my daughter is making Red Velvet soft cookies.
Of course I am heading to the gym in a few minutes to get my 60 minute elliptical burn!!!🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️ then we are heading to see “Cats”. Many have said the movie hasn’t gotten good reviews but I don’t care! Just being with family is a blessing!

26/11: 106kg
2/12: 104kg
9/12: 101.7kg
16/12: 100.3kg
23/12: 100.3kg
So Monday marked 4 weeks/my first month and I've managed my goal of logging everything I eat (even if it is wild guesstimates sometimes). And for a total of 6ish kg/13lbs I'm feeling pretty good. Ground to a halt in this last week but that wasn't unexpected--thanks to many posts here I know there can be a multitude of reasons.
Now on to festive season and trying not to go nuts with food! But logging it if I do hahah.6 -
Merry Christmas Eve! My mother has today AND tomorrow planned for FOOD 😭 I’m trying so hard not to cheat. I have been working so hard the past three weeks to behave myself and there is no reason why today can’t be different. Good luck everyone! I will check in with you later.7

It's Christmas eve! I was gonna go to the gym, but they have short hours and the roads really suck, so I chickened out.
I once got in a serious car accident on Christmas eve. I guess I'm still a little paranoid.5 -
You can just do calisthenics at home during commercials 😊 sits one time, push-ups next, etc. Nothing too crazy. Happy Holidays 🎄🎅💃🏽It's Christmas eve! I was gonna go to the gym, but they have short hours and the roads really suck, so I chickened out.

I thought I was going to be happy with my decision not to log for today and tomorrow. I couldn’t do it. I tried to log what we usually have at my daughters on Christmas Eve and right now I am pretty close to going over maintenance calories. I am not going to stress because this is my most favourite night of the year.6
-
@BrownSugar174 The mac and cheese looks so cheesy good!! Actually your whole meal sounds delicious. Great work hitting the gym today.
@Aerohead21 Don't think of it as cheating bc that will only make you feel bad. You are just taking a couple of days off to enjoy a special holiday. Life is about balance and so is losing weight. I'm going to be over today probably and that's fine. I'm prepared for it and going to have fun with family. Then back to my plan tomorrow. If you want do some exercise today to help go for it. If not that's fine too. Just be happy and joyful
@Terytha find something on youtube. I use that when I'm not doing the elliptical. So many free choices and types to pick from.
@lindamtuck2018 I planning to log best I can. I know it will be over deficit and probably maintenance also. Let's just enjoy being with family and having a good time. It's not an every day thing so don't stress it. You've been rocking this year and will do so after today.
Merry Christmas Eve and Happy Holidays to everyone!! So happy to share it with y'all.5 -
I played video games for an hour and burned 300 calories. ^^
Tonight is hot chocolate by the TV fireplace and music and board games. I love relaxing holidays.10 -
One serving of Patti Labelle’s Peach Cobbler!! My sweet hubby forgot the world I live in when he asked “do you want a scoop of ice cream on the top”😂😂😂. I politely said “no thank you”😊

My guess is that someone hit the disagree button by mistake. It's happened to me when I was on my iPad because all the buttons are close together, but luckily I noticed right away and was able to correct it.
I'm just getting back to reading posts after about 4 days away. I've missed SO much! I'm hoping I will be able to catch up tomorrow and find some normalcy after a week of crazy, fun times filled with WAY too much food. I am ready to start fresh. Kudos to all of you that stayed strong and kept to your plan. Those of us who lost our way this holiday season, we will get back on track again. Never.Give.Up!4 -
Merry Christmas to all of those of celebrate! If not, happy Wednesday! I definitely let myself be a little lax this week, just enjoying time with friends and family and yummy food. Surprisingly, I’m not beating myself up like I would in the past. I know I can reset and get back on track right after the holidays end.
It seems like everyone else is having a good week with loss and focus, so keep it up! I’m going to be channeling that energy starting Thursday.6 -
@torihudson6 I love that attitude‼️ I am fully enjoying my holidays! Thursday, I will double down as well.
Have a very Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 ‼️6 -
Fun on the beach! My daughter and I went bike riding! It was cold but wonderful!

SW: 310, CW today - 290.3 (goal by Dec 31 - 290)
I am so close today to my goal, dreading the weight popping back up after my workout today. I. Am.. So... SORE. LOL Good workout today, felt the best I ever had, knee not bothering me, good energy for the gym today, no head pounding, legs felt good...these are all the things that have bothered me since I started, pretty much, so great to see them improving, but, my body has now decided to punish me for thinking I'm so darn tough in the upper body. Ow, my top half of me. Don't cough. LOL Started some lat pull downs this week. I feel that. Mostly my back. Who ever would have thought I'd enjoy being pretty much sore for 2 months, but I am feeling stronger and I feel like I'm working. I can feel that muscle core deep down under the plush over covering, not used to feeling me in here. Kind of a cool feeling, to be honest, though it makes me want to strip off this flubby outer covering. I'm so impatient. Go way, fat.
Anyway, 2 months into my journey, almost to my next belt. I so want to hit that 290 by the end of the year and have 6 days to do it. Expecting the pop up tomorrow, but that next drop down needs to break the goal line.
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas (or whatever Holiday you celebrate about this time of year)! My boys today got lap tops to replace their seriously aged desktop computers, so they are over the moon. Small number on the gift this year, boys, Santa shelled out for a big gift. They also got watches, some small snacks, and sherpa lined fuzzy socks which I am completely jealous of, they look so soft. All in all, a good day with the family, that's what I cherish the most.
Best wishes to all.

didn't end up tracking, too many nibbles! just enjoying the days with my parents. will track today but it won't be pretty. looking forward to keeping you all company as we work this off!!11

I just found this thread! Keep it up ladies and I hope to join a similar thread for January.9
-
A few things I’m looking forward to...my workout and my quiet time with my Squatty Potty🤪😂😊9
-
Who else is back at work five pounds heavier than when they left last Friday?
I had a great holiday though.10 -
I did attempt to track yesterday for the sake of it, but call it 60% accurate at best since I didn't weigh anything and ate a ton of turkey skin while carving the beast.
I make a darn good turkey if I do say so myself.
Since I did make a 20 lb turkey for 2 people we'll be having hot turkey sandwiches for dinner. That should help me keep my calories down after yesterday's free-for-all. Back on the wagon I go!
I was at 203.4 this morning. So. So. Close.
And so far I've come since being around 275 in January.10 -
I chose not to log during the day yesterday, but near the end sort of guesstimated what I had eaten and put in the info, so the day wouldn't be completely lacking in data. I probably ate twice my calorie goal and I have no regrets! It was a great day and I enjoyed every bit of it. I did actually wake up with a bit of a junk food hangover though, I will say. I haven't eaten like that in a long time! I had to be up at 4am for work and it was ROUGH.7

I am glad that I found this forum. I am at 240, having lost 15 lbs since Sept. December has been extremely stressful, with my husband hospitalized and now in rehab, and I with the flu. But I want to keep on with my fitness goals, and I hope for the last week being able to get back to my 2 Silver Sneakers Classes + 2 balance classes per week and my 1650 cal/day diet.10
-
So yesterday was my reward day (not my cheat day 😜) and I pigged out. I don’t feel bad about it because my version of pigging out isn’t a large quantity of food - just bad quality. If I gained a pound or two, it’ll come off easy enough. Today - back on track! We can do it ladies!9
-
@BrownSugar174 Love your beach photo shoot esp that last free spirit pose.
@HurleyHurley Excellent body work! Keep going and you'll have hit that 290 by month's end.
I weighed 203.6 Christmas Eve morning just to have a gauge not for my weekly. I did log to my best of abilities and threw in some extra calories for things I had to guess on. I was over by a little but not much. Christmas morning scales were still at 203.6 which was great but weird to be exact number. Today down to 202.8 so maybe I won't have a big up tomorrow for official weekly bc we ate out today. I've caught a cold so not feeling like working out at all and have taken off the last two days. On a bright note I picked up a couple of 5lb kettle bells at Dollar General today and only $5 for the pair. Their weights are half off here so if you need some lighter ones check them out. The dumbbells are the neoprene covered ones and went up to 7lbs. I think my store only had 5lb kettles. Right now I can use 3lb dumbbells but with that price bought up a set for as I improve strength. With my grip issues I feel like the kettles will be more comfortable to work with. Hope everyone is doing well and I'll do a full check in tomorrow.

Haven’t posted being so busy with Christmas but now the madness is over. I am up to hike #45, 7 to go. Will need to double up some days to meet the goal. I feel like I can finally refocus on my diet and also think about how to deal with future events/holidays/birthdays so this cycle of binging doesn’t continue.
Hope everyone had a great holiday!8
