I just found this thread! Keep it up ladies and I hope to join a similar thread for January.9
-
A few things I’m looking forward to...my workout and my quiet time with my Squatty Potty🤪😂😊9
-
Who else is back at work five pounds heavier than when they left last Friday?
I had a great holiday though.10 -
I did attempt to track yesterday for the sake of it, but call it 60% accurate at best since I didn't weigh anything and ate a ton of turkey skin while carving the beast.
I make a darn good turkey if I do say so myself.
Since I did make a 20 lb turkey for 2 people we'll be having hot turkey sandwiches for dinner. That should help me keep my calories down after yesterday's free-for-all. Back on the wagon I go!
I was at 203.4 this morning. So. So. Close.
And so far I've come since being around 275 in January.10 -
I chose not to log during the day yesterday, but near the end sort of guesstimated what I had eaten and put in the info, so the day wouldn't be completely lacking in data. I probably ate twice my calorie goal and I have no regrets! It was a great day and I enjoyed every bit of it. I did actually wake up with a bit of a junk food hangover though, I will say. I haven't eaten like that in a long time! I had to be up at 4am for work and it was ROUGH.7

I am glad that I found this forum. I am at 240, having lost 15 lbs since Sept. December has been extremely stressful, with my husband hospitalized and now in rehab, and I with the flu. But I want to keep on with my fitness goals, and I hope for the last week being able to get back to my 2 Silver Sneakers Classes + 2 balance classes per week and my 1650 cal/day diet.10

So yesterday was my reward day (not my cheat day 😜) and I pigged out. I don’t feel bad about it because my version of pigging out isn’t a large quantity of food - just bad quality. If I gained a pound or two, it’ll come off easy enough. Today - back on track! We can do it ladies!9

@BrownSugar174 Love your beach photo shoot esp that last free spirit pose.
@HurleyHurley Excellent body work! Keep going and you'll have hit that 290 by month's end.
I weighed 203.6 Christmas Eve morning just to have a gauge not for my weekly. I did log to my best of abilities and threw in some extra calories for things I had to guess on. I was over by a little but not much. Christmas morning scales were still at 203.6 which was great but weird to be exact number. Today down to 202.8 so maybe I won't have a big up tomorrow for official weekly bc we ate out today. I've caught a cold so not feeling like working out at all and have taken off the last two days. On a bright note I picked up a couple of 5lb kettle bells at Dollar General today and only $5 for the pair. Their weights are half off here so if you need some lighter ones check them out. The dumbbells are the neoprene covered ones and went up to 7lbs. I think my store only had 5lb kettles. Right now I can use 3lb dumbbells but with that price bought up a set for as I improve strength. With my grip issues I feel like the kettles will be more comfortable to work with. Hope everyone is doing well and I'll do a full check in tomorrow.

Haven’t posted being so busy with Christmas but now the madness is over. I am up to hike #45, 7 to go. Will need to double up some days to meet the goal. I feel like I can finally refocus on my diet and also think about how to deal with future events/holidays/birthdays so this cycle of binging doesn’t continue.
Hope everyone had a great holiday!8 -
Yes! 289.9, boom. I made my goal for Dec, 20 pounds down.
I am the proud new owner of a yellow belt. *grin*
Now, a little about me. I may be a tad quirky and I seriously can't stand the color yellow, for the most part. "Have a nice day" canary yellow, pure primary, is tolerable, though not my favorite, but mar it with tone, green, or red making it brownish, greenish, or orangish, and my brain short circuits.
Therein lies the motivation to move on to 30 pounds. Orange, though not an absolute favorite color, is way more preferable to yellow. Hoping to earn that one by end of January.
Thank you everyone for the encouragement and hugs to you all. Gah, gotta get to work, but was excited and wanted to celebrate.9 -

It is what it is! I set my self to maintenance calories for the holidays. I am sure I went over that Christmas Eve and Day but I know I am retaining lots of water. I need to drink lots of water. I have a couple of days in the next week and a bit of eating either takeout or going out to eat. New Years Day we always have Chinese takeout. Saves on cooking a big meal again.
Goals
- 204 pounds I won’t make it
- Get 8500 steps Monday to Saturday every day but Christmas Eve and Day
- Do 2 workouts a week didn’t get them in again but I have been walking lots
- continue to go to bed before getting super drowsy (if I get to drowsy I tend to get the munchies) ✅

@HurleyHurley congrats on your yellow belt and meeting your goal.2

It's good to hear everyone made it through Christmas in pretty good mood. I did not count calories on the day itself, but I've been sticking to my calorie counts every other day, even though I did have a treat or two everyday. My monthly weigh in will be on Monday at the gym and I think I'm on track for a good loss this month.4

11/30: 213.3
12/4: 211.7

12/18: 208.0

- Water 96 oz (avg 80)
- Increase protein to 80 grams/day (avg 62)
- Meditation 3 times a week (0 of 3)
- Continue intermittent fasting at 8/16 (6 of 7)
In what was a Christmas miracle, I hit 206.0 on 12/25, which I did not expect. Then reality caught up to me with a Christmas Day and Christmas Day leftovers and far too many spritz cookies, rum balls, and pie, I am up to 206.7. I feel confident I can bring that back down to my monthly goal by the end of the month - despite having made almost no progress on my non-scale goals. I'm not stressing about it to much though; our daughter is visiting from college and our older son comes home tonight. I want to enjoy their visit while trying to be responsible but not let my weight loss efforts ruin their visit. Wishing everyone well!8 -

Yup, I'm up a bit. Mostly water bloat, and I refuse to get to upset about it. I had lots of fun with friends and family and gave myself permission to not be weird about food. With New Years coming up next week, it's just going to be a roller coaster on the scale.
Other goals -
Exercise at least 3 times a week - Not so great about this. My schedule has been off, and motivation has been low.
Clean up weekend eating - Not really applicable for last week, all my major eating was during the week. It'll be the same next week. We are going to an amazing french restaurant on New Years Eve, and I'm going to eat all the everything.8 -
Feeling crappy so will reply to posts at another time.

My original goal for this month was just to get back to my pre-Thanksgiving weight of 239 and stay there, so I'm pretty happy with how things are going.
I've lost weight before, but for some reason this time my body seems to be rejecting super sweet things. They just don't taste that great anymore. So that's been super helpful with avoiding the Christmas treats.
But unfortunately, now I want salty food all the time, so I'm constantly trying to control the water weight.9 -

I have absolutely enjoyed this holiday time! Four days to make my goal but guess what? If not I have shed 48 pounds since 6/1/2018 and I’m so pumped for what’s next!!5 -
Alicia, Connie and bluffgirl - Congratulations on you losses this week! I'm so impressed by anyone who managed to lose weight over Christmas.
Linda, you are looking fabulous! And how can I score an invite to Christmas at your house next year? The food sounds and looks amazing!
I tried to log on Christmas eve, but gave up and just added in 1200 calories for dinner, but I logged on Christmas day. With two days straight of eating heavy carbs, I ended up gaining about 2 pounds. I'm hoping to pee it all out today, so pushing the water. On Christmas Eve morning before the food fest began, I did manage to hit a 70 pound total loss. Let's see if I can get it back by tomorrow.
Hope everyone enjoyed their week! Thanks for all the love and support.6
