@ladycopnh1 - your weigh-in numbers appears to be transposed, well typo accident in fact. but IT LOOKS GOOD FOR SURE..... good job on that huge loss this week. you rock!!!!
@FatimaStartsAllOver and @ladycopnh1 OMG - I didn't even notice the typo. I just looked at the last two digits...hopefully you didn't lose 105 lbs! But 5lbs is amazing1 -

No progress but at least it’s not an increase! Been a bit naughty on the eating front, been back at work since 2nd January and need to get back into healthy eating if possible. Too much cake and biscuits around at work!!
MY JOB DOES THE SAME THING some people make cakes, muffins, cookies they also bring in bagels and rolls. And whenever I pass by the kitchen I just stare 😂😂😂 so far I’ve been really good with not eating all the treats but it’s definitely difficult.
I completely understand - it takes so much discipline to change eating habits! Just yesterday I was offered kolaches (pigs in a blanket for you non-Texans), a Dairy Queen blizzard (thick ice cream shake mixed with candy and oreo cookies), and chocolate cake! I just stay away from the break room!!!!3 -

I hope that I can build a healthier relationship with the scale because I know it’s important to weigh oneself to see progress 😊 and not every day/week is going to be a large loss in weight. So far I haven’t stepped on the scale since Jan 2 so so far so good haha and also I’m eating healthier and with portion sizes 👍🏻👍🏻
I have the same issue! I weigh-in weekly because I don't want to obsess with numbers on the scale. I read on another post to measure inches and to take pictures on weigh-in days, so that you can see progress when the scale doesn't move. I did measurements, no pics, and it was AWESOME to see the change in inches.

Ill definitely try that. Last year I gave up the scale because I was developing an unhealthy habit of weighing myself and then if I didn’t lose weight I would skip meals just to see that number go down the next day, so I gave up the scale. But I’m definitely going to ONLY weigh myself on weigh in days and I’m totally going to take measurements so that I can track my progress. Thank you for the idea!1 -

Yeah happy with this as minimal exercise due to foot issues and plan for diet this month then next month exercise
For those that are not having any loses on the scale this week, chin up as you will be loosing measurements instead.
Those who have lost, well done.....

OMG . I wish I could loose 100pds in one week. I WILL weigh that again some day. The number I want to get to is 253. That is what I weighed the last major diet I went on. Then I want to aim for 199. I have to go to a wedding in cowboy country (Wyoming ) in October and no body knows I'm on a weight loss challenge to loose fluff. So I want be under 200 before I fly out there.
I weigh myself each day just for "my" accountability, If I see the number going up I know I need to stop and think of what I am doing or NOT doing.
It is so good to see such inspiring messages.
ponytail75, xbrainbelt, MrsAmy, the leadmare......how are you girls doing ? we would love to hear from you.
How has your diet plans been working so far ? Can we help in any way ?

I'm in!! I am 47, 218 and tired of being so tired all the time! I'm not the best at posting, but I'll get in there as often as I can!
Start weight: 224lbs
Current Weight: 218lbs
Goal Weight: 135-140 (UGH-it seems so far away!)
My first goal weight is to get to ONE-derland. I'm going to drink more water, decrease my calories in, move my *kitten* more and go to the gym, and stop mindless boredom eating at home.
Good luck to all of us in meeting our goals in 2020!2 -
gabi_texanmom wrote: »@FatimaStartsAllOver - You are my inspiration! Congrats on losing so much weight with just walking. I will try going for walks during my lunch hour too, hoping to get some more steps in during the day.
About the apple watch, I love the features, but the battery life is awful! I dislike that it needs to be charged every other day - I prefer once a week like fitbit. Now I have to make more room on my nightstand AND remember to charge it.
@fewmoremilestogo - Oh no, I'm sorry about the ER trip. About 10 yrs ago, I had lost a significant amount of weight, exercised daily, and even did some running for fun. I had a few medical issues so I stopped my workouts, and after I recovered, I tried going right back into my old exercise routine. BIG MISTAKE! I threw up, trying to push myself so hard, fainted, AND threw my back out for a week!! So now I definitely ease into my workouts and listen to my body.
@beautifulblessings83 - I wish I had more support and an accountability partner too. Where are you from? My hubby, daughters, and best friends don't have weight issues. I am now much heavier than all of my sisters too. My sister that always had weight issues actually had weight loss surgery 2 years ago, lost 100lbs, and eats anything she wants. I definitely want to give in to the sugary snacks and load up on the carbs, but in the end, it's not worth it! I want to be around a long time, I want to be healthy, I want to be a good example for my girls, and I want to look good by the time I'm in my 40s!!! We can do this! I sent you a friend request.
@ghoulgoth - Congrats on stopping smoking! That is HUGE, especially while finishing up your degree and working on weight loss. What are your next plans? Do you get to stay in NYC? I've always wanted to visit there!
@tawtyping - Fantastic! No gain is definitely a win. For me, I always see a slight gain when I first start eating better and working out, it's almost like my body clings to my fluff with a death grip. LOL
@CathyRocky - Dinner sounds yummy! Way to go with sticking with your portions and skipping dessert.
@ladycopnh1 - WOW! Congrats on the huge loss! That is AWESOME motivation to keep going!
@gabi_texanmom You’re so sweet thank you!! I’ve lived in NYC my whole life so I want to leave after graduation 😆 I need some nature and fresh air in my life!! but it depends entirely on my employment I suppose. I’m majoring in textile/surface design so jobs are hard to come by even in the city! We’ll see you should definitely come visit when you get the chance! I’ll show you around haha

I’m ecstatic guys! I started making more conscious choices while eating starting on Christmas 😅 I felt awful about all the food I ate for the holidays and stepped on the scale for reassurance, only to find out I was the heaviest I have ever been. I decided to start my journey right then and there! (I didn’t start working out until January 1st though 😆) I’ve been working really hard to count my calories and make sure I’m not over eating/boredom eating while also doing my daily Pilates and long walks with my pup. My body is sore and my non-existent abs are killing me but it’s so exciting to see those numbers change! Nothing beats knowing your hard work is paying off7 -
I would love to join. I'm 242 pounds. I'm 39 years old, married with 4 kids. At the end of my last pregnancy ( twins) 10 years ago I was 90 kg. I've got pain in my knees which is because my cartilage is eroding. I'm on meds for anxiety and depression and high cholesterol. I have celiac disease and I'm lactose intolerant. I've done ww before and I know that eating less and drinking a lot of water helps me but for some reason its easier said than done. I also have a heel spore and a discal hernia which gets worse from the weight gain.8

Hey friends. Super psyched. My resting heart rate was in the 70s the past 2 nights! It was high 80s peaking in the low 90s when I started my journey last May. My big goal is to get healthier to maybe someday soon start a family, so losing weight, lowering my risk for diabetes, and increasing the health of my heart are all a big deal for me.6

I made progress!! Cutting out carbs and and cutting out loads of snacks definitely helped. Also what helped is not giving into to my jobs kitchen tables filled with goodies. My gym membership finally unfreezes next Saturday so I hope to finally get in good workouts and hopefully see better progress in two weeks 👍🏻👍🏻6 -
@AlexandraMBT - great loss girl, & you was nervous about it, knocked that weigh-in out the park. good job. yay YOU!!!!!3

So yesterday was a 'bad' day. I did not work out and my eating went a little wonky. I was cold and tired so I curled up with my cats and vegged. But you know what else? I don't feel as good today as I have felt every other morning. I think it is from not working out, at least a little bit. So today less sugar and hitting the gym.5

I would like to join your group. I decided to start this journey again on January 1st at 222 lbs. I have autoimmune thyroid and have been fighting my weight for 31 yrs. My goal is to make it to 145-150. I am retired, a wife, mom to 2 furbabies and mom/stepmom of 6 children and grandmother of 14. My hobbies are knitting, tatting, counted cross stitch and ceramics. My main focus goal for January is making sure I drink 96 oz of water daily.

Is it too late to join? My name is Colleen, I am 50 years old and trying to get healthier. I am currently on the "diet" program to get the sleeve surgery in (maybe) April. I have had up and down weight since the birth of my 1st child in 1987 and lately have seemed to have no will Power what-so-ever. I am currently on no soda, low carb, gym four times a week for 30 min, just got over being sick and am just starting the gym. I would love to join if you still accepting.2

@AlexandraMBT congrats girl!! 😁 proud of you, you’re doing amazing and it’s only week one!
@CathyRocky don’t be disappointed! You didn’t gain any weight, so it’s still a win try your best to only weigh yourself during weigh in days. You don’t want to be addicted to the scale, been there done that, it sucks! Also the more you weigh yourself the more inaccurate results you’ll get. Try to weigh yourself at the same time on your weigh in days as well! For example, every Wednesday I weigh myself in the morning around 9am before I take my walk and eat breakfast. I saw someone else mention this before, but if you feel the need to constantly step on the scale, take measurements instead! Sometimes you won’t notice the number on the scale change, but the measurements will and it’s almost more rewarding good luck you’re doing great!!
@celticck77 haha I had the same kind of day yesterday. It’s not a bad day, just a rest day Make up for it today! Don’t feel bad about rewarding yourself and relaxing every once in a while3 -
Welcome to the group Danimerc72, estherkohn, bellanbear & cranae43 if you girls need inspiration you will certainly get it here. There ladies in this group rock !!
estherkohn, I can relate to what your going through, I have been in depression for years and I have had bad reactions to the depression meds that the Dr. gave me, I also have high cholesterol, and borderline diabetic. I have had planters fasciitis in my left foot for almost a year now and am working with a pain clinic to knock down the pain every time I step on my foot, and I'm going to be scheduled for another surgery tomorrow cuz I ripped half my
bicep off my bone on my right arm. I am basically lopsided when it comes to working out BUT......I WILL try my best as long as I can stand it in order to get this unnecessary fluff off my butt & hips. Determination, gotta have it.
You can do this girlfriend, I know you can.3 -
Going in the right direction so far. Been really good with tracking my food. Feeling a bit under the weather so not exercising much this week but trying to control eating. By no means a perfect diet week but feeling more in control. Good luck to everyone else weighing in!
