My staples for green salad are mixed greens, cukes, peppers, grape tomatoes, radish, and if it's the actual meal I add diced chicken breast and maybe a boiled egg. Once in a while I'll have avocado, onion, sliced jalapeno. I love salad!!

I would love to join. I'm 242 pounds. I'm 39 years old, married with 4 kids. At the end of my last pregnancy ( twins) 10 years ago I was 90 kg. I've got pain in my knees which is because my cartilage is eroding. I'm on meds for anxiety and depression and high cholesterol. I have celiac disease and I'm lactose intolerant. I've done ww before and I know that eating less and drinking a lot of water helps me but for some reason its easier said than done. I also have a heel spore and a discal hernia which gets worse from the weight gain.

So feel what you are saying, I also have depression meds, heel spur and plantar facitis, plus spondylosis in back and need to loose these 20 kilos to improve my overall health, but as the foot causes me the most pain, walking is hard, have turned to bike riding and this has seemed to help. Though for January my aim is to improve my diet, then Feb tackle the exercises.....

I use broccoli, green beans, peppers, spinach, shredded carrots. cauliflour, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, a little shredded very sharp cheddar cheese and a low fat dressing. Sometimes I'll chop up a hot or smokey pepper. Hard boiled egg.

Wow. I am having a glass of wine - haven't had a glass in months. Half way in I am buzzed. I had way to much room in my calorie count today so I opted for a small treat. Anyone else have a treat of the drink variety?

    Start of 2020: 238.4
    Goal for 2020: 180
    Ultimate goal: 160

    Jan 1: 238.4
    Jan 3: 239.6
    Jan 10: 238.6

Jan 11: 236.0. Wow. 2.6 lbs woosh after being exactly 239 all week, and down over 35lbs from my “official” starting point. I may be slightly dehydrated, so I’m drinking extra water today and expect my weight to go up slightly. Feel good about my 3 gym trips this week for 80 minutes of workout time. Goal is to get at least 90 minutes next week, maybe even a 4th day, since I will be sitting in meetings instead of teaching my class on Thursday and Friday.

good morning guys. it’s Sunday, a brand new week, who’s ready to lose some weight this week? let’s try to give it “our” all. let’s move a little more and perhaps eat in moderation. i feel we can all lose a pound or two this week if we work for it. and if not, please don’t give up! let’s fight these pounds off ladies. 2020 transformations on its way!!!!

Good morning everyone!! Yes, a new week, let's do this! Move more! Eat less! We are having very unusual temps here in NY, in the 60's this weekend, so I will go for a walk and enjoy some fresh air. My fridge is stocked with super healthy foods. Hope everyone has a pleasant day!

I put spring mix, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, this little sweet peppers,

    Optional:
    I make everything bagel croutons
    Everything bagel seasoned chicken
I make home made guacamole (avocado onion lime salt pepper garlic)
    Steak

  • Re the salad, i would definitely vary the toppings in ways that had themes to them. A fajita salad! beef and onions and peppers and tortilla strips, tomatoes, and depending on your likes and calorie count, sour cream and guacamole.

Go Indian, and spice your chicken with curry powder, and add the onions, peppers, and the cucumbers, and add a yogurt dressing.

Thai-marinaded beef with bibb lettuce leaves, celery and carrot, peppers and onions? A ginger-lime dressing would rock that.

I found myself at home all day, no appointments, no place I had to be. Today is showing me how often I eat out of boredom.

I do the same thing. The winter is even worse for me. At least when the weather is nice I can force myself outside.

I had a small non-scale victory yesterday. Watching my favorite team losing 24-0 in the first quarter would have sent me to the snack food. But yesterday I peeled and cut a bag of carrots and chomped on them throughout the game. My team came back and won the game and I was able to feel great about that and not feel sick from eating junk!

    My on scale victory:
    Starting Weight: 262
    Jan. 7: 259
    Jan. 13: 255
    Jan. 21:
    Jan. 28:

This level of losing wont last - I have scaled back to 1200 - 1500 calories just to kind of reset things. Eventually I will live between 1500 - 1800.
