Hey everyone! I took a long break from these challenges, but I've continued to weigh in daily on Happy Scale and celebrated my small victories to myself lol. However, since I was hospitalized late last year for something that could've taken my life, I've been having trouble losing weight! I think my body has been trying to recuperate after that and plus I got the flu and sinusitis on Christmas and I'm still taking meds from that to this day. I want to have some additional accountability to get these extra 6ish pounds off that I've been struggling with for 4 months now since I was hospitalized!

02/07: 182.6 (I gained 0.2 pounds from last week! I have lost inches, and my smallest jeans are starting to get baggy but the scale has increased. TOM is coming on Sunday so I know that’s why. I did an intense kickboxing class last night and ate some potato corn chowder for dinner last night!)
02/08: 184.2 (I save some calories for the weekend and last night I made a homemade cheeseburger and some baked French fries. I’m guessing that was a TOM craving 😂. No workout yesterday since it was my rest day!)
02/09: 185.8 (TOM came yesterday afternoon as I expected. I did not workout yesterday as it was my second rest day and ran some errands. I had a bean burrito for dinner last night and relaxed!)

This is day three of major back pain and in order to medicate every three hours for some pain relief, I had to give up on intermittent fasting and my calorie goal was more like 1200 to 1500 the last couple days instead of 900 for loss. Plus only about 4000 steps a day. Thus the increase. Today it's a little better going to try to medicate less so I can meet a calorie goal of 1200 or less but steps are still going to be limited.

02/07 - 371.6 - No change from yesterday. Slow and steady. I've lost almost 17 lbs. in the 4 weeks since starting this *Give me 10 days* challenge.
02/08 - 372.1 - A slight uptick, prolly from a little cheat day. Mom wanted a donut, so I bought one for myself. Put me very close to my caloric goal.
02/09 - 375.0 - Huge gain. I had an urge for pizza and cheesey bread. And ate most of it. If I start going down again over the next few days, I'm fine with the occasional splurge. If not, I may have to rethink the idea of a cheat day... at least to this degree.

I’m sure it’s a temp injury but finally decided to deal with it – going to Airrosti on Monday. In the meantime, I will walk, do my strength circuit, cycle, row…..whatever to keep burning. Weekends are tough for me 😏

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !

02/08 135.8 – sigh !! 9.66 miles walked yesterday. Calories exceeded by 306 – I hit the chocolate, must leave it alone!!
02/09 DNW – away from home helping our DD & SIL move house, DD had been readmitted to hospital following contracting an infection (sepsis) after giving birth to our delightful new grandson 2 weeks ago. Luckily, she reported her raised temperature to her midwife after 24 hours and so taken back into hospital, administered IV antibiotics until the sample of her blood was used to culture the bacteria to enable the lab to produce a personally tailored cocktail of antibiotics for her. She was again discharged yesterday and the spring in her step is returning. Thank goodness it was caught early. So she was encouraged to keep her feet up whilst the rest of us did the work!! We stayed in a local Travelodge, so no weigh in this am.

02/08 134.4 I better buckle down. I didn't log yesterday because I went out for lunch and have no idea what the calories were. I simply have to end the round lower than I started. With my knee hurting and long work hours I haven't done the elliptical. I should make time for that.
02/09 134. Elliptical yesterday and knee didn't hurt (more)! Also, stayed firm and had no alcohol inspire of people strongly suggesting I would like a drink! Who needs a headache?

Glad the jump to 177.5 at the end of the last round was short-lived. However, I will jump back and forth until I settle into the 175's most likely.
My birthday is tomorrow and I've asked my Husband for us to celebrate 3 months from now - no cake, no fattening foods. This would normally be the day I had an excuse and would eat half the cake in one day but just a little sugar will trigger my cravings and binging. My gift to myself and my husband is a healthy me, and I want that more than I want cake (I would not have been able to say that honestly 44 days ago, but now it is soooo true!) Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE cake. I just feel like my cravings are under control after no sugar for all these days. However, IF I had a cake sitting right here in front of me, uh, all bets are off, so none in the house this year! My Husband IS going with me to Foxwoods (casino) for my b'day even though he cares nothing about gambling (so sweet of him). He will win 10 bucks on a slot machine and pocket it. I'm, like, are you $%^# kidding me LOL. Me, on the other hand, I love blackjack and will take $X amount and play until it's gone and hopefully win some early so I can keep playing.

Nice to meet you Mike and welcome as well. This weekend I have actually accomplished a few things at home, nothing totally major but getting some stuff done I should have done months ago. Cheated a bit this weekend but ready to dive back in. Oops! lol Making spaghetti right now as I have been hemming and hawing what to have for supper. Wanted hot dogs but didn't make them.
