For the most part I find them very unflattering. I'm not sure why or how they came back into fashion...they weren't good in the '80s and they're not good now...just my opinion though.1 -

I think they are too! Most of the time i see these really skinny girls wearing them and it makes them look like they have a gut when they don’t.2 -

Every time a dude expresses what he likes in a girl physically/ what his type is, it doesn’t match who he’s actually been with with ..everyone he’s ever dated looked the complete opposite of what he says he’s attracted to.

ladies of mfp
would you prefer him to be overly toxic or kinda a doormat?
(no in betweens & honest answers only pls im trynna see something)
Doormat. I’m an overly nice type of girl and toxic guys just hurt me and take advantage. I don’t take advantage of nice guys. I appreciate them so a doormat type is safe with me. I will also feel more loved because he does what I want.
Let me also clarify that I had to pick one of the 2 choices so I did. IRL, I don’t want an overly weak guy who can’t stand up for me. But, I would rather that type than a toxic one who doesn’t care about my feelings or fights me on every little thing.8 -

You can't expect servitude though. It's gotta be a mutual if your both nice.1 -
Ladies...
I realize everyone is different so I'm curious to see what you all have to say...
Do you prefer someone who is... Shy and awkward (not creepy), or confident and cocky (bordering arrogant)?1 -

I am a very giving person which is why I also want a guy who is the same way.

I prefer confident because I need a guy to make the first move. A shy guy is fine as long as he can muster up the courage to make the first move. If he is too shy to do that, then the confident guy wins.

Apologies, I took your "does what I want" out of context then.1 -

Shy and awkward. Confidence can be gained.
Plus I think awkward is adorable.2 -

When I dated in my teens and 20s I always was the pursuer (except twice - with 2 different men who I allowed to pursue me). I would be the one to initiate the flirting and to suggest a date. I also made a lot of prank phone calls and looked up their home addresses in the phone book and would casually drive by a lot wearing sunglasses

We were given the choice between two polar opposites, no in betweensies
Who would you choose between a very outspoken girl who challenged you and bragged and loved attention vs a very quiet meek girl who flinched and apologized every time you did something?
I am a confident man. Maybe arrogant to some that percieve me without knowing me. Im flawed for sure but am not defined by them, and will not ever feel less for whatever someone else thinks of them. My heart is big, but its doubtful ill share that unless somebody brings something to the table. While i can be very nice to a meek woman, it would never work as a relationship.
I have no interest in demeaning how someone handles themselves, but i also have no interest in being involved with someone that cannot set me straight every now and then......and not only through argung, but just by being her own example of strength and respect.11
