03/18 - 156.1 - Almost gave up on trying anymore yesterday, so much work and effort for such slow results. Re-motivated today.
03/19 - 155.4 - Slept in today, that likely helped with the scale.

03/18 183.6 👇 (-2.4) I ended off last round pretty discouraged and woke up today having dropped 2.4 lbs. I made RG after all! I'm guessing that last rounds fluctuations were water so I'm not sure if I will continue to drop fast. Goal is to stick to my daily workouts (21 Day Fix Extreme), stick to my WOE (dr prescribed clean and lower fat keto)
03/19 184.6 👆 (1.0) ok still sticking with my routine. Had some extra snacks last night but still on plan. Normal fluctuations. Hopefully 😳

Round 108 - March 18 to 28
Female, 5’, 67 years. SW – 163.8, GW – 164 something, UGW – 140.
Goals: continue with 12 hr. IF, see if I can complete my tracking every day and get focussed exercise most days – either gym exercises I can do at home, other (like fitness video). Don’t expect to go to the gym for 2 months and then my membership will be almost finished. We do have a treadmill that my husband uses so I guess I could get used to using that.
Day/Weight/Comment
03/18 – 163.8 – sick with the regular flu
03/19 – 161.8 – Threw up and then hardly ate yesterday, so it is a false low – but still lovely to see that #. Feeling much better today.

@tiabirdie56 Oops. Sorry. My Amish Friendship bread recipe DOES call for a pack of yeast for the starter. I guess I am just used to receiving the starter from someone else and building on it for the 10 days (yeast no longer required). However, if things settle and you can get the yeast packets, this is wonderful bread and very easy & fun. You really can make many yummy additions and flavor choices easily.
@quiltingjaine I looked online for Senior Centers in the Tulsa area. There are quite a few of them. Your daughter will probably be able to sign one out and borrow one until she no longer needs it . In my area, it is free and you don't have to be a senior. Folks who don't feel like storing this equipment in the garages and basements will often donate them for this sharing program. I hope this helps. I hope she will heal quickly, without pain. Give her my best!
Below is a link to an old article but the program may still be in place.

@melodie1082 My sister is a nurse (NICU) and I am so thankful for what y'all do each and every day, and I can not imagine the additional stress now with the coronavirus. My sister (59 yrs) had hip replacement surgery around Thanksgiving. Other than 3 or 4 days of pain, she has done great and it changed her life - her original pain she lived with daily is gone! I've heard of some surgeries being postponed but this may be in larger hospitals. I hope yours is still going forward as I can imagine you're ready to get on with it. Wishing you a very speedy recovery!7 -
I' m in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back walking!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

GOALS THIS ROUND
- RGW 132.0kg
- Morning exercise 7/10 days
R108 SW 132.6kg
Day | Weight | Change | Comment
03/18 | 132.6kg | No change | Busy day at work and had visitors all evening/night. My mum came in to town ready to babysit my son today, so I picked my sister up on my way home from work and brought her to my place as well so we could all catch up. Later, my dad also decided to come into town but he didn't arrive until about 9:30pm. So it was a late dinner and a few beers, I was expecting a rise on the scale. On the bright side, I didn't snack after work and I didn't have dessert. Got all my water in, but no exercise. Hubby out of town for a day trip today, will see how shopping goes - we normally do an online order that he can just pick up, but they have cancelled that service at the moment so that is frustrating. Stay safe, everyone!
03/19 | 132.7kg | +0.1kg | Made homemade pizzas on wrap bases last night, they were delicious and much lighter than the normal dough bases I make, but I think my sodium was very high as a result (perhaps I should choose a more healthy topping than pepperoni...). Only drank 2L of water too so that also wouldn't help. No exercise as I'm still trying to shake this cold off. Our supermarket shelves were bare when I went yesterday afternoon - no TP, soaps, potatoes, bread, pasta, rice, tissues, canned vegetables, flour, ready-to-make packet meals, cheese, milk...nothing. This was Wednesday afternoon. Our store gets one delivery a week, on Tuesdays. So I don't expect to find anything on the shelves for the next week, which is ridiculous. What's happening, as the cities stock out, people are coming further and further out into the rural areas to wipe our shelves clean too. Their stores get deliveries daily, but they can't wait that long. I don't know what I'm going to feed my one year old toddler by the end of the week, unless they happen to get another delivery in (which they have to pay the freight for, so they won't do that as they don't make enough profit to cover it). I really don't understand how people can be so selfish. It's not a production issue, there is plenty of product available, it's just distribution is the issue - they can't keep the deliveries up to the stores because the demand is increasing exponentially! People are literally panicking over nothing. They're panicking because the media is telling them to. I wish the media would just stop covering all of this and just report the statistics and whereabouts of the virus, nothing more. It's so stupid, people being worried that something is going to stock out, so they buy as much as they can, causing it to stock out. If everyone just stuck to their normal buying, it wouldn't even be an issue but no, people are selfish and greedy.
Sorry for the rant, I'm just extremely frustrated with people.
03/20 | 133.1kg | +0.4kg | Wrong direction! It's just water weight, obviously, but I'm not sure what's caused it. Maybe sodium. I didn't drink enough water the last couple of days too. Feeling anxious and sad, and that leads to poor decisions for me usually. Hubby bought a lasagne for dinner last night, normally we would split it and eat half each, but I did split my share in half and ate it with a salad (bringing the leftovers for my lunch today with a salad). So that's another small win in the 'smaller portions' dinner plan.

DAY / WEIGHT / COMMENT
03.18 / 93.6kg / We're on lockdown, advised to stay at home, social businesses are closed, social gatherings are discouraged, so we get no visitors, mostly because me and my kids are all sick (regular seasonal flu). Older one is 3 and a half, younger is a year and two months old, and staying at home all day alone with a huge list of treatments for all three of us has been stressful, trying to be on top of everything for them has left me slide back into emotional eating. We don't keep junk food at home so at least it's nothing like that, but it's noon and I've already shot my calories for the day, and I'm afraid if I slip back into this without hitting the breaks somehow I'll lose the progress from the past month. So I'm happy to have found the challenge and I think having to add those comments will help as well to process things.
03.19 / 95.2 / A bit after midnight but still not in bed so it's still today for me 😅 I expected the weight to be up after yesterday but not as much, that kind of shocked me. I just have to keep reminding myself it will go down again in a couple of days so I don't fall into self-hatred. I always fluctuate by a lot, and I have always thought before I started weighing in daily those would probably be around a kilo top, but it's often two or three and it's shocking every time. Having a separate app that shows me a trend helps with reminding myself this is not real weight put on, it's just the result of a bad bad day. I use Libra to add those since it feels crappy to add them here even though mfp prompts for daily weigh-ins. I hate seeing an update on my feed that every few days I lose the same 0.5 kilos, so I just add when I've lost from my previous lowest. My calories for the day ended at being 1804, and with my tdee being around 2020-2300 I'm still happy with that. I usually aim for less but it's an improvement over yesterday and still keeps me on track. I've been able to be very strict until noon this time, had lunch and all that but I made something sweet for the kids and ended up getting way too much of that for myself as well. Without it it would have been a perfect day. Need to start preparing myself something to snack before I start making those cause otherwise I think I'll always be caving in, and I don't want to deprive them of having it at home just because their mom can't control herself. It's weird how easy it is to know how much they can have and follow it strictly cause I don't want them to be hurt by it as I am, and at the same time not be able to apply it when it comes to myself. I'm working late again and didn't snack after dinner however so I'm happy with that.

And thank you guys for all the kind words of encouragement! The mfp board is for some reason still very outdated of a version and it's difficult to follow up with those, but I see you and I want to hug you 😊10 -
On general self-isolation. Did weekly grocery shopping today. Some shortages, but I got what I wanted. I always have a food store of dry foods, and we have stuff in the freezer. Northern Ireland has some supermarkets opening first 2 hours for over us 70s, so that helped the situation today
UK schools are closing indefinitely on Friday.
Take care everyone. 💕💖💕General goal is to maintain below 150, and trend slowly downward to 145.Never give up! Never give in!
The downward trend is a bit slow for my liking, but at least it's is still downward.
Looking forward:
- March: I need to focus on getting back to where I was pre-Christmas
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Back Story:2018:2020
My goal was to get down below 160, to allow me to enjoy the indulgences of holidays and celebrations.
2019:
I exceeded that and have been below 150 for most of the last 2 months.
In 2018, I put on 10 lbs over the last 2 months of the year.
In 2019, I consistently lost weight since the end of July. I put on about 4lbs over the Christmas break, but was still below my original 2019 goal.
That's a WIN in my book!
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Update: My Grandson who went to the hospital was tested for strep throat (negative) and a common strain of the regular flu (negative). He was sent home with Mom to self-quarantine and watch if symptom worsen. They did not test for Coronavirus as they said there are only 150 test kits in the entire state of Michigan. They are to be used only for the worst patients who present with very bad symptoms and have to be admitted. They are told to watch for shortness of breath developing in the next few days. Otherwise, it is probably an okay virus or the Coronavirus that has healed. They stated that over half of all people in the county probably already have the Corona and don't even know it. Yikes! They were told that other children are responding better to children's Tylenol than Children's Motrin. Lots of fluids, lots of rest, keep good hygiene as best as you can for a 3 year old. Treat as if it is Coronavirus but watch and wait. This is scary. I have been staying in the past two days and keeping everything clean, clean, clean. I'm not going out except when I absolutely MUST. Have a good evening everyone and know I am think of you all & hoping things are going well for you all.

Please join us! Starting on 03/18 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 108
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
