Please join us! Starting on 03/28 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 109
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Day/Weight/Comment
03/28 158.7 ~ {Steps 8,927} ~ I’ll be home this round so I’m going to have to figure out a new normal of exercising before going to my daughters.
03/29 159.8 ~ {Steps 18,031} ~ We took a long drive and ate lunch at Burger Master, delicious burgers,I did a lettuce wrap with two patties and bacon, yummy. We also had a late dinner. No worries about my weight...... Hence my weight gain, on the bright side I actually got an excellent workout in plus was under my calorie goal.
03/30 157.8 ~ {Steps 8,965} ~ Today was an extremely hard day since besides the morning it rained most of the day. I call it a win though since I didn’t eat my emotions at night.
03/31 157.3 ~ {Steps 17,633} ~ Today was better then yesterday, especially since it didn’t rain most of the day, organized our living room helped!

Day/Weight/Comment
03/28 133.6 – 9 miles walked yesterday in my allowed daily exercise yesterday. 540 calories in credit, all macros in green. Managed to get all my supplies at the supermarket yesterday, only had to queue for 15 minutes to gain access, no hardship at all in the great scheme of things. Keep washing our hands !!
03/29 134.4 – 8 miles walked yesterday – 39 calories & 75 carbs over respectively. Had a lovely video conference call with DD, DS and little DGC, I miss them so much, but know needs must to keep us all safe.
03/30 133.2 – 7.41 miles walked yesterday, 397 calories in credit, all other macros in green, more protein and less carbs, I'm going to try to stick with that trend. Call out to our heroes, the NHS and those both in the food chain and benefit system, 4 of my siblings are involved in each of those areas, each are experiencing “difficulties” in their jobs at the moment not helped by the public at large who are giving them lots of verbal abuse which they don't need, they are experiencing so much stress already without that. Please be kind particularly to our key workers at this very difficult time.
03/31 133.2 – 9.87 miles walked yesterday, 666 calories in credit & all macros in green. Stay safe everyone.
04/01 134 – my fault – succumbed to chocolate last night although I did stay within calories. 10.3 miles walked yesterday, 240 calories in credit, 14 carbs over.

On a good note I’m up to 2 miles straight running (I NEVER ran before now). Also the weather is co operating and I’m enjoying my mornings out in the garden doing Spring clean up. 03/28 - 142.5 - Three members of our extended family have been hit with the virus. They were actually at our house visiting 3 weeks ago. They are healthy 30 somethings and their 5 year old, the 2 year old seems OK so far. They've barely been able to get out of bed. They were tested because he's a firefighter. Please be careful.

I got back on track yesterday and when I hit calorie limit I could tell how much more I had eaten the prior days. It's hard, but I can do it. I have to get comfortable with feeling a little hungry. I'm sure if I drink more that will help.
4/1- 154.4 I've been so tired for my runs the last 2 days and I'm not even running that far. I'll ride today instead.11 -

04/01 - 149.0 - Think my scale is playing an April's Fools joke 'cause I swore I'd be over 150 today. Had rice with gravy last night as part of dinner and probably had too much. Apparently my salad at lunch evened me out. Salad for today and tomorrow as well and I believe salad with dinner (pot luck style with our family here in TX - BF and I in charge of mac&cheese which will be my downfall). Going to try to do mini workouts throughout the day (squats, lunges, hip thrusts, etc) when I need a break from the computer. Hopefully this number will continue to drop, especially now that I'm back with y'all and posting. If nothing else, its like having a voice in my head telling me I'll be accountable to everyone here and it works!

03/31 - Bit of a long update since I've been absent: Not pretty numbers. Between the quarantine (shelter in place in both work and home cities), unpacking/getting settled in, and working from home (hello, kitchen and BF who can cook amazingly), this is what I get. Started a garden as a reason to get outside at least once a day (though sometimes I take a break just to go stand on the porch). Rain/storms Thursday-next week which puts a damper on the walking trails idea we had for this weekend. BF works from home (all the time, not just quarantine) so he always is looking for ways to get out of the house and now I understand why. I miss the freedom to just go get fresh air and sunshine without concern of the virus. Bought salads for "work lunch" to try to get some veggies in. Steaks last night with homemade mashed potatoes and garlic asparagus (I was in charge of sides). Hopefully soon my order of imperfect produce will come in and I can start incorporating more fruits and veggies in. Will have to since I'm paying for them and BF requested I did it, despite him not being the biggest veggie person. He told me to get it, so he gets to deal with it haha He wants to lose weight as well now that he's on the computer at home all day. Once things calm down, he's going to fix up our friend's extra bike and go riding with him. I'll go on walks and do some at home stuff when I'm able to. My schedule will be tough. It's a 1.5hr drive with no traffic. With traffic its around 2hrs. I shouldn't hit traffic going to work, but will leaving work to come home. So 13-14.5hrs gone. Will have just enough time to eat dinner, shower, and pass out with 6hrs sleep. 7hrs if food is already done when I get home. Fridays and weekends I will be free to do whatever I want/need to, though, so I'll be working on making up for my workweek. Also going to try to do lunch walks at work just to get out of the office and get movement in if I have a quiet computer-based or meeting-based day. Any advice y'all have, I'll gladly take. Especially since I haven't been doing my IF (skipping breakfast) lately since BF cooks for us and I've had a rumbling belly by 8am. Once I'm working at the plant, I'll get back to that but until then, I need to figure something out. No idea how long I'll be at home, but the orders for San Antonio are valid until the 9th unless its extended. Now time to catch up on everybody's posts!

3/28/20 - 180
Rainy Saturday here, with lots of wind, but in the 60s, so not all bad. The birdies in my yard are extremely busy — Mike the cat has lots to watch! I hope you all have engaging things to do, too.
3/29/20 - 180.6
Not surprised — we had pizza yesterday. DH had a craving. We had storms and rain all day yesterday, but it’s 60F and sunny this morning. I’m going for a walk! Have a healthy Sunday, everyone.
3/30/20 - 180.2
I’ve clearly hit some sort of equilibrium as I’ve stayed within .8 of a pound since Feb. 13. Though not the weight I’m aiming for, I think this is good for my body/metabolism and I’m getting a good idea of my real maintenance calories. When the weather warms up again (cold again after a beautiful morning yesterday) and I get more exercise, I’ll lose again. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
3/31/20 - 180
Forgot to check in this morning! Busy day. I hope everyone is well.
4/1/20 - 180.8
Hmmm. Normal fluctuation, since I ate responsibly yesterday. It’s possible I’m not drinking enough water. But I have been doing much better about snacking! Pease and health to us all.

03/28 160.0 lbs 1200 calories, 12,000 steps IF16 hours, it looks like for me to get under 160 I am going to have to get under a 1000 calories, not going to happen this weekend but will try a couple days next week and then hold hopefully. I can't do that long term.
03/29. 159.4 lbs. 1300 calories, 9500 steps, IF 16 hours. ummm I was not horrible yesterday but I enjoyed the 50,s we were having with a ice cream bar and drink outside because April fools day we are back in the 30’s. Surprised at this number.
03/30 160.0 lbs 1500 calories, 9500 steps, If 16 hours. LOL I new that was to good to stay but at least I know my scale goes that low. New week and I will try to get a couple days under 1000 calories to get and stay under 160's.
03/31 160.2 lbs 950 calories, 25,000 steps, IF 16 hours. Apparently I am paying for the weekend still.
04/01 159.0 lbs 1100 calories, 25,000 steps, IF 16 hours. YaY, I have been spring cleaning and getting ready for Graduation in June. I know we are weary of virus stuff but just a little update from ND. The bigger cities like Fargo are pushing our governor to shut us down, like borders and all, but I am so grateful that each state can decide what is best for them. This virus isn't going anywhere. It is spring time here, and ND leads in the US in almost every grain, and even honey. If the products they need to farm do not come into our state to plant, the whole world will have bigger problems than this virus. This time of year, ranchers are selling off or buying cows but sale auctions are being affected by this virus. The place my husband works can not get tractor or truck tires delivered to them. I fear this is only the beginning as pressure from more populated area shut more down. I pray the farmers can get what they need to get the crop in. So just a little info on why every state can not be shut down right now.

03/28 250.4 I didn’t have much yesterday for breakfast, so I treated myself to some frozen yogurt. I also went grocery shopping and managed to find food! I was so happy to find some real food and almost stocked shelves for the first time in a few weeks.
03/29 251.2 No hugs needed! I was under calorie yesterday, but had all the carbs, nearly double what I usually eat. For some reason my appetite was still a little off in the morning and I treated myself just a little in the afternoon and evening. It was a very nice day and I learned that these days I’m happy with a happy meal.
03/30 251.4 The carb bounce always takes a couple of days to go. I finally got a good night sleep last night after a couple of days of either not sleeping or using sleeping pills.
03/31 250.6 There we go back down and hopefully some more losses in days to come.
04/01 250.8 Hmm, this week is now trending closer to my trend during ovulation than last weeks trend. With perimenopause who knows when what is happening anymore. It’s okay though I know that I’m eating within my calorie goals and I just have to wait out the water. On the plus side while at Walmart I picked up some new clothes because my light pants won’t stay up and it’s too warm for sweatpants. I had to get both a 20 and 22 because dressing rooms were closed and the 20s fit, just barely, so I’m keeping both so that I have something to wear while I lose a little more to fit comfortably into the 20s. It won’t be long and I’m just so thrilled that it I can find pants with ease.

@tiabirdie56 Thanks for the clarification Hoarding was a nightmare here too, and everyone had the same thought " a couple of more tinned food, a couple of more bags of pasta, an extra pack of toilet paper... you know just in case..." and in the end the shelves were empty except for fresh and healthy food. The shortages ended up being due to quantity of food that needed to be restocked in the shelves rather than having the food which was available in the depots. 2 1/2 weeks after the initial panic, a lot of the shops are nearly empty of people (lockdown) and the shelves are pretty much back to their normal. I'd think it's best for those who have some supplies at home rather to wait it out rather than going to a packed shop and be more at risk of infection (or unknowingly infect others), but that's just a personal opinion having seen what went on here

3/28: 140.0 (+1.4) – How does one gain a pound and half in one day you ask? Hmmm. I’d love to blame the scale. My scale does seem to jump around but tbh, I ate crappy in the afternoon and evening. Popcorn, candy, several glasses of wine on the deck because the weather was nice. Then dinner was take out Japanese bento with sushi, beef bulgogi, tempura vegetables. So much salt and unheathly. It’s a new challenge, new week, new day. So time to move on from yesterday’s mistakes.💪
3/29: 139.2 (-.8) Did a really nice long bike ride and listened to a very good video from a doctor about dealing with Covid. And then had Italian for dinner. Nice quiet night.
3/30: 139.8 (+.6) The flux are due to choices – food, salt, snacking, drinking, sweets. I know it. Now what choice am I going to make to get back on track this week? Eating well, moving my body, drinking water, self care. April is going to last forever!🙄
3/31: 138.2 (-1.6) Weighed twice. Reset scale. No idea. Nuff said……
4/1: 138.6 (+.4) Did a 15 mile bike ride. Ate ok but had some ice cream. It was so good.

Goals
Goal for this round, stay healthy, eat healthy, 10.000 steps, and on the emotional side write my diary every day.
03/28 – 154.6
03/29 – 155.6 (+1.0) Yesterday was a depressing day so I think I’m going to put it behind me and aim for a better day today. I’m aiming for 10.000 steps and 30 mins cardio on the stationary bike, maybe a run around the block with my daughter this afternoon which is the most we’re allowed to do here.
03/30 153.6 (-2.0) 1360 cal, 10623 steps. I’m quite happy with that loss especially as I did cave in for some chocolate that I have around the house but otherwise a pretty good day. I didn’t get a high cardio workout but I did a 3-mile walk (from you tube) and later that day I did a “parkour” run in my apartment, I’ll be doing it again later and try to get my daughter involved! I’m avoiding any high impact workout as I have had to stop all immunotherapy treatments for my RA as I was sick, so my joints are a bit achy. I’ve done a daily schedule of things to do but I’m finding it a bit hard to follow lol
03/31 154.4 (+0.8) 9861 steps, didn't track calories. It was the "did not track calories" that messed things up yesterday! I started by keeping track in my head thinking I'd put into MFP later and then got a craving for chocolate and it went downhill... but the chocolate was good lol However I did a 3 mile walk workout in my living room and a weight routine as well. Today I'm aiming to log ALL my food!
04/01 155.0 (+0.6) nearly didn't weigh this morning, yesterday ended up being a bored emotional binge day, not very proud. I did get a lot of other things done (online studying, sewing, kids homework) but food ended up being where I got the most comfort. Around 9pm I had enough of my pity party and went running 3 times around the block with my daughter. Today is a little better, but I'll admit that the situation is starting to get me down. I need to stop watching the news...

@jamfullhouse, Thank you for your post concerning farmers and ranchers. Some people just don't think beyond the supermarket. Food insecurity is very real for everyone. You must consider the food sources and the people behind feeding the world. Please continue your updates.❤
@matratazola, the very sad thing about it is, the hoarding didn't have to go past the first day. This virus is laying wide open the worst nature of humans. The hoarding puts eyes on fear, panic and greed, also corporate greed.7 -

👍🏼👍🏼 This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE. 👍🏼👍🏼12 -
Hi, I’m Karen and I’m in my 50’s
OSW-187 Sept. 2018
Walk +/- 7 miles 4 x week. Goal Weight this Round: 152
Drink plenty of water, alcohol on weekends
SW-54
3/28-154-I know it will take me a long time to get out of the 150’s. I haven’t weighed this little in over 10 years. I’m keeping myself busy quilting, cleaning and walking during this time. This stay at home thing isn’t bad for a quilter. I just like going to the quilt shop for the social aspect; most Quilter’s have a “stash” of fabric and projects. A lot of them are making face masks, as long as they have elastic. I started my first day of “physical therapy “ yesterday at the chiropractor; a young guy smashed into the back of my car as I was coming to a stop a few days ago. I believe this will be an easy fix, it will just take time. By yesterday, I was able to walk about 4 miles and I will get back into sewing today. It’s all part of life. Glad to see all of you here!💚☕️
3/29-156-comfort food yesterday, but got all 7 miles in and my lower back is sore this morning. Glad to be in 150’s. It’s all good.
3/30-154-Careful eating, but no walk. Hmmmm. A walk for sure today...It’s Monday, here we go!☕️
3/31-157- Made creamed spinach; it has bacon, had salmon too....and some chocolate. Back on the wagon today!
4/1-156-Whew! Friends delivered BBQ’ed chicken and biscuits-real comfort food. Today I’ll make chicken & dumplings.10 -
Round 109 – Goals – To lose 2 lbs and maintain the loss. Drink 64 oz of water each day.
Best of luck to everyone. It is a challenge worth taking and remember the most important aspect is health and wellbeing!
Day/Weight/Comment
03/28 – 175.0 – Decent week but still need water
03/29 – 176.2 – Saturday indulgence shows on the scale
3/30 – 176.2 – Drinking water is my priority today. That will help with the overeating as well. Here is to a great day for all.
03/31 – 175.0 – Continue with drinking water goal and eat more vegetables. I have my sights on 173.0 I can do this.
04/01 – 174.6 – A bit closer to goal. Still need to drink more water. I can get the 48 oz in but fail on the last 24….

Day/Weight/Comment
03/28 192.0 grr I’m tired of seeing this number. I mean I was WAY under on calories, they were almost all high quality calories, plus I had the best run in years. I’m still hoping this is hormonal and will release all at once in a few days.
03/29 191.8 all I can think is my body is getting too efficient. Doing the same things most days, under for calories, but zero weight lost in the last 7 days. I keep saying I need to mix it up but now I have to commit to that with some planning
03/30 191.2 finally some trend down. Overall not huge movement, but better than I’ve been doing. Cross fingers this keeps going.
03/31 191.6
04/01 191.4 too busy yesterday to post, but I did weigh. 10 days later, same number. I would really hate to think these are my maintenance calories, but it’s hard to chock this up to hormones any longer. If it’s a factor of staying indoors to work—how do work from home folks cope? I’m actually not overeating, I’m always green on calories. I weigh and measure. I’m still getting out for daily exercise, I just don’t get the same daily movement of getting from meeting room to meeting room. (I commute to my kitchen...and it’s much closer to my desk than the break room or bathrooms at work are!) I’m going to give it a few days longer then move up to maintenance calories just in case it’s a factor of eating too little (doesn’t feel like it, but who knows).

@tiabirdie56 I had typed a lengthy reply which just vanished. My final comment was that if this virus doesn’t kill me, the separation might. I’ve barely been out of the house since March 15 - our last eating out experience.7

@tiabirdie56 Still the information is not cited. In your other post you shared a link from the CDC and questioned them and I question anything WHO says due to their leader being from a country that wants a huge amount of money from China. Everyone should do there own research (from reputable sources, if there actually are any) and draw their own conclusions-not rely on anecdotal information passed around.4
